Remnant, a world of Hunters and Creatures of Grimm. A world where humanity battles against the forces of darkness, both from the monsters that roam and from the evil within their own souls.
You might all know the story by now, a young girl named Ruby Rose and her team standing against the Grimm and confronting the source of Remnant's dark past. And this story is no different in that regard, for the young Rose with Silver eyes will always be the key to fixing her world.
However, this version of the story is vastly different. How so? You shall see as we turn the pages...

In many a tale of Remnant, the life of Oscar Pine is an interesting and sometime sconfusi9ng one; living as a farmer, then hearing the voice of a famed headmaster in your head and being somewhat forced into battles against the forces of evil, only to learn that not only the voice in his head but the other guardiamns of the world are just as suspetible to falling as his foes.
However, this story had a different beginning for the lad.
Here, he came from a family of hunters but not like the Huntsmen who learned in the academies. No, these hunters were those who had made a commitment to hunting the Grimm down and slaying them. They were masters at weapon crafting and more often than not, say the Grimm as little more than prey.
Sadly, Oscar's parents died in the line of their duty when he was only a child, leaving his aunt to raise him by herself. Even then, Oscar vowed to continue the fight his father had started. He was gifted with a creative mind and as such, forged many weapons, even improving on the ones used by his father and ancestors before him. He would be prepared for whatever the Grimm may bring.
However, his destiny would soon lead him to an unexpected place...

Whitley Schnee knew he was born privileged...at the cost of a normal family.
Jacques Schnee was a tight-fisted and miserly man who secured a standing as the husband of the former CEO's wife, Willow. However, his business practices turned the once noble company into a shadow of its former self.
Whitley's older sisters, Willow and Weiss, both had taken the moment to flee from their father the first chance they were able to, leaving Whitley by himself. However, the lad was resourceful, and with help from the family's faithful butler Klein, he managed to find a way to keep up with his older siblings.
Even though he didn't show it, Whitley himself wished to live the way his sisters did, free from their father's influence and able to make his own decisions. He trained himself when the day would come and used his brilliant mind to create many new tools for his own use.
And soon, one fateful day, he would finally get his wish...

Penny Polendina was not like normal girls. In fact, one could say she wasn't a real girl at all.
Created in the lab of brilliant Atlas inventor Pietro Polendina, Penny was the very first artificial being to possess a soul, which Pietro had provided from a piece of his own. As such, the man saw Penny as his beloved daughter and raised her as such.
However, being a machine with a soul meant Penny was sheltered from the outside world. The poor girl wanted nothing more than to experience things like regular girls. Pietro told his daughter that the time would come one day, but Penny was getting impatient.
As luck would have it, that day would soon come for Penny...

When one hears the word 'Prince', they usually envision a handsome, well dressed young man in robes fit for a future king.
Momotaro Ryukugyu of Mantle was, aside from handsome, not one of those princes.
From the moment he had been born, he stood out; aside from Blake Belladona, daughter of Ghira Belladonna the chief of Meanguire, Momo was the highest ranking Faunus child in Remnant. A vbery special Faunus as well, as Momo possessed the antlers or his mother and the scales of his father, giving him a draconian appearance.
And like Whitely, the prince had big shoes to fill: His father, the King of Mantle, alongside three other Faunus warriors who Momo regarded as uncles, had mapped most of the continent they called home and bulit up several villages.
The king and his queen adored their son, whose birth was surprise and made sure he wanted for nothing as best they could. But there was one thing Momo always wanted above all else.
Luckily for his parents, what their son wanted more than anything else was to provide for his and all the people of Remnant.
As soon as he could speak, Momo had asked to begin training so that he could protect and aid his people. He often snuck out of the palace to mingle and chat with villagers and was always ready to help when he heard news of draughts, food shortages and bandits.
Worrisome to any parent to be sure, but the prince was born with an incredibly strong aura and superhuman strength ever since infancy…and he had yet to discover his semblance.
Suffice to say, whereas opinions omn the Schnee children were divisive and controversial, the prince of Mantle was beloved and adored by his people. So, it no doubt came to a surprise to all when he decided to leave his homeland to study aboard, reasoning that while his was well taught at home, he needed to see the world to better help it.

Last but certainly not least, we turn to Ruby Rose herself.
The second daughter of Taiyang Xialong, born of him and the legendary Summer Rose; a humntress so great and revered the royalty of Vale would call on her. The younger and beloved hal-sister of Yang Xialong, Tai's daughter through his first love Raven…and apprentice of Raven;s brother, Qrow.
A girl who identified better with her beloved corgi Zwei and weapons she'd design and build, Ruby was nonetheless born with a kind heart and a devoted sense of protecting others. Ever since she was a child, she'd dreamt of following in her parents footsteps seeking little reward beyond knowing she helped others.
What she never could have dreamed was just how important she actually was in the grand scheme of things.

And then came the start of the new year at Beacon Academy, wherein these five would meet and start a chain of events that would forever change the world.
