Chapter One: The Return to Kalos

Its been five years since Ash Ketchum beat Leon in the Pokémon World Coronation Series. He decided to visit some friends in the Kalos Region.

"Ash, come back soon ok?" His friend Goh said to him at the airport, "Cinderace and I are really gonna miss all the adventures we took."

"Don't worry! We will definitely come back here." Ash said with his usual confidence, "when I come back we'll have another battle!" "Ok Ash, but remember that I will be way stronger, I hope the battle won't be too hard for you." Goh said, copying Ash's confidence. "The Pokémon master may be the strongest, but the next battle won't be easy!"

"Good thing, easy battles are really boring. A challenge will help me." Ash said, "I sure will miss Galar." An hour later, Ash was on the plane. Thinking of many adventures he will have in Kalos.

Ash didn't tell any of his Kalos friends that he was going there, he wanted that to be a surprise. He was going to visit Clemont and Bonnie first, Clemont was the Lumiose City Gym Leader, so he suspected that they would be there. And they were, Clemont was battling a challenger when Ash came.

"ASH! Hi Ash! You're back!" Bonnie yelled in excitement. "Clemont, Ash is back! Come on and say hello to the pokémon master! Did you even hear me?" Clemont however was trying to focus on his battle, as hard as that was, Ash hasn't been inside here for 5 years!

The challenger however turned around the second she heard the name 'Ash' and Ash remembered that he was famous. "ASH KETCHUM?! HERE?! Can you and pikachu sign this please." She held out a paper and pens so that Ash could write his signature. "Wow I really am that famous? I have to sign an autograph, so I am!" After Ash signed it, he asked Clemont where Serena was. Bonnie giggled at that, "I think someone remembers a very special occasion. I just hope that i'm right, Serena has probably been waiting for this. "

Clemont didn't think anything, "I think she came back to Vaniville Town a week ago, now that she is Kalos Queen she decided to stay and relax for a bit. Should I call Serena and let her know you're here?" "No thanks," Ash said quickly. "That will be a surprise."

"Ash? Can I help with the surprise?" Bonnie asked. "Um... sure!" Ash replied, but he was curious why Bonnie wanted to help. "What kind of surprise were you thinking of Ash?" "Something very special and memorable." Ash said dreamily, but he didn't know why. "I have an idea," Bonnie said, trying to hide her giggling. "But i'll need some time to prepare so is 1 day enough?"

"A day I guess is enough." Ash replied, even though he a day felt like months.

"But Ash, can you first come with me?" Bonnie walked towards Clemont's inventing room, and it looked like Bonnie and Dedenne had something important to ask him. "Ash, do you have a crush on Serena?"

Ash blushed and quickly said, "I won't say anything Bonnie." But Bonnie knew what that meant and just smiled. "Thats just fine by me, do it Dedenne." Then Dedenne started tasing him with a small thunder shock, making Ash feel slightly shocked. "Bonnie, i'm still not talking." Ash said to her, very mad. "Alright, Ash." Bonnie said before taking out her phone and watching some videos.

After a very long time, Ash said. "Make Dedenne stop, please!" "Then do you admit it?" Bonnie asked.

"I can't, I don't feel like it, ok?!" Ash responded, blushing even more.

"Dedenne, you can keep doing it until you're tired. Then Squishy can have a turn until Ash stops being stubborn." Bonnie said, while staring at Ash.

Ash was furious.

"You know-" Ash started, but Bonnie interrupted him. "I know what?" Asked Bonnie in her most innocent voice, looking at him sweetly.

"Fine, I do." Ash said, feeling embarrassed. "But why would you wanna know that?"

"I just wanted to know if you felt the same way Serena feels for you. You definitely had all the signs, but I wanted to hear you say it yourself." Bonnie said happily, and she saw Ash's face light up.

"Wait, Serena-" Ash's heart was beating.

"Don't tell me you forgot that Serena kissed you before she left to Hoenn, really Ash?"

"I need to plan a very special surprise, something she will never forget Bonnie. But I don't even know where to start." Ash said disappointed, he wanted something perfect for Serena.

"Oh well I already know it needs to be romantic, so I think I have no choice but to show you my secret place." Bonnie sighed, "the things I do for love."

Bonnie lead Ash to the forest, and then went off the path and walked for 10 more minutes. "Remember Ash, this place will be a secret for only you, Serena, and me. So if you tell anyone else I will never forgive you, or if i do it will be after Dedenne paralyzes you."

They arrived at a ring of cherry blossom trees, in the middle was a fountain. "Is this good enough, Ash?" Bonnie asked. "It's perfect!" Ash said, shocked at how Bonnie knew of such a nice place. "Thank you, Bonnie." "I knew it was a good idea to try to tase you," Bonnie said giggling before she switched to a serious face. "Remember not to tell anyone, ok?" "I wouldn't dream of telling anyone else." Ash replied.

Bonnie described a plan. "Now in order to have Serena come here, I was thinking of hosting a picnic but me and Clemont cancel at the last moment, then it will be just you two. Serena will be so happy!"

"Thanks again Bonnie," Ash said before turning back to the gym.

"Of course, anything for love." Bonnie said the last part to herself, sighing dreamily. "It will be perfect!"
