Chapter 4: SSE and QRF

Both teams had cleared out their compounds and were about to SSE. "All stations, you are clear for SSE '', Ross said. "Pepper collapse over watch point, I'll meet you on the first floor", 30K said. Ross and Kozak had started to bag and tag documents, laptops, and you name it. Pepper had met 30K downstairs and began to SSE. Around 5 minutes later, both teams got a transmission. "This is Jackson to Team 1 do you copy". "Copy loud and clear Jackson send traffic", Ghost Lead said. "On ISR I have a visual on at least a dozen Zarzagoa cartel members and 2 technical trucks moving on your current position". "Shit", Lead said. "Copy that Jackson '', Lead said. "You do have a 75th Ranger QRF led by Staff Sergeant Jacob Foley, codenamed Hunter 2-1 on standby if this doesn't go well", Jackson said. "Copy that Ross out". "This is Griffin to Team 2, be advised you have an enemy QRF of at least 20 enemy foot soldiers and 2 technical trucks, advancing on your position", Mitchell said . "Copy that Griffin '', Pepper said. "I also have a QRF of Rangers led by Sergeant Daniel McCoy to assist", Mitchell said. "Copy that Griffin, Pepper out".
Pepper and 30K had finished SSE and were locked and loaded. 30K still had his SCAR except on his back he had an RPG-7. Pepper still had his M110 but was also equipped with a M4 for close range. Ghost Lead and Kozak had also finished SSE. Kozak and Lead were on the second floor. Kozak was armed with his Vector along with a Barrett M82A1. Ross (Lead) was armed with his Mk18 but also had a Scorpio. The fight had officially begun. Kozak and Ghost Lead's QRF arrived first with someone initiating on the 3rd floor with a RPG-7, completely shattering the 3rd floor. "Open fire", Lead said as he quickly fired 2 shots into a cartel member. Kozak began returning fire with the M82, having the cartel hide behind the technical trucks. When a soldier tried to get on the technical, Kozak or Lead shot them off. Lead and Kozak had moved to the second deck following the RPG blast. "RPG, get down !", Kozak said as an RPG ripped right past the two. At this point, the building most likely was going to fall. Meanwhile, 30K and Pepper were holding their position on the top floor (2nd floor) of their compound. 2 technical trucks had been destroyed by the duo. Suddenly the building 30K and Pepper were in was hit by a RPG round. "Shit, this building is gonna fall", 30K said. All of a sudden the building started to tilt towards the cartel members. "Oh mierda, vuelve (oh shit get back)", a cartel member said as the building started to fall. "Grab onto something", Pepper said. As 30K and Pepper held on to the banister, a couch fell and knocked Pepper and 30K into the rubble. Ghost Lead and Kozak had fought vigorously, eliminating all 22 QRF cartel members. "This is Ghost Lead to Griffin, we're clear". "Copy Ghost Lead, Pepper and 30K are getting surrounded, I'm calling in your exfil", Mitchell said. "Copy that Griffin". Within 5 minutes the duo were taken by Gyps helicopter codenamed Venus to a Ghost Recon FOB in Mexico. Back at Monterrey, 30K and Pepper were surrounded.
