After arriving at the stadium, I saw that the Class 3 races would start in only half an hour, giving us time to kill, which I knew I had to talk to Keira with Jak. But while doing this, I also decided to place something on my dad so that he'd be spied on when he met with my siblings. And when Jak saw my dad, he got a little apprehensive when he saw he was a KG officer.
"At ease, soldier," dad said, which Jak looked at him in animosity still before looking at me.
"You didn't say he was a KG soldier," Jak frowned at me.
"He said he's been trying to help people in the city while in the KG, and my eco powers saw he was truthful," I smiled.
"How can you tell?" Jak asked me.
"I use Yellow Eco to sense what they do. There's ALWAYS a tell when someone is lying. It can be as simple as blinking, moving your arms, even tensing up, but everyone has something to let me know when they're lying. My dad had no such things happen," I smiled.
"Remind me to never play truth or dare with you, then," Daxter smiled at me.
"Indeed. Dad, the short one is my boyfriend," I smirked.
"You're uh... dating a talking rodent?" dad asked.
"He used to be Elvine, but then he got turned into this form after falling in a vat of Dark Eco," Jak explained.
"Ah, right. I always keep forgetting the term for the long-eared folk around here. I always just rever to saying people instead," dad frowned as we then moved to the garage and saw that Keira was working on some machines, which also included working on a replica of the Jet Board, it being a purple variant. And she was being assisted by Diego and Jilly.
"Hmm... do we need this stuff?" Diego asked as he proceeded to show off some recycled Dark Eco.
"Careful with that stuff! Not for kids to handle," Keira said, me smirking at that. And then Keira noticed me and my group and gasped. "Oh, hi! Who's the burly one?" Keira asked.
"Um... Keira... this is Roger. He's uh... my dad," I said, Keira's eyes going wide at that and then looking at me, then back at dad, and then at me again.
"Adopted?" I then facepalmed and groaned.
"Birth defect, we've been OVER this!" I sighed in annoyance. "Anyways, he's among the list of people that's okay to meet my siblings. Dad, how about you go spend some time with Jilly and Diego?" I asked, him then going over to them and Jilly looking at me in confusion.
"Uh... what do I do with HIM?" she asked in confusion.
"Show him to our room, but if he does anything, I'll be listening in from afar," I said, her nodding at me as the trio then went to the secret elevator and went to Keira's and my bedroom.
"So... what did you want to talk to me about, Jak?" Keira asked.
"I uh... wanted to talk about... us and stuff..." Jak said before smacking his face, which Keira smiled at.
"You know, I gave up hope from looking for you guys after I'd been stuck here for 3 years... but now? I'm very conflicted," Keira admitted with a sigh.
"Why?"
"I've heard stories from passersby. That you get angry and... just change into something beastly. It's like you're a completely different person," Keira said with a frown. "But I also know that Errol was the reason... he never said a word to me about what that horrid program was like for the prisoners... and when I looked into it on my own? I should've done so sooner. No one deserves to be injected with that horrible substance," Keira sighed.
"So... what do we do, then? Are we still a thing?" Jak asked with confusion.
"I uh... I need to think on things a bit more..." Keira sighed.
"Listen, Keira," I said, hoping to be the mediator. "I don't know about what's going on in your head as of now... but Jak missed you the entire time he'd been in jail. Jak? Did you ever stop loving Keira, even when the darkness was injected in you?" I asked, him smiling.
"No... I always held onto hope. Hope that I would find you guys and get us back home," Jak said with a smirk, Keira sniffing at that, and looking to the ground.
"Y-You really mean it?" Keira asked, me simply holding her hand and her sniffing harder.
"I can sense it in his heart, Keira. He still loves you and he'd never do anything to hurt you. And you still feel love for Jak, despite everything that's happened. I can sense that much with Yellow Eco," I smirked, her then responding with that by going to Jak and hugging him with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry... I don't want to let go..." she cried, me smiling at her.
"Aww, it's okay, Keira, you're among friends here," I smiled as a couple tears went down my face. And then the computer spoke.
"Attention all citizens! The Class 3 Races are about to begin. All competitors who are signed up, please head to the arena and enter your vehicles. You have 2 minutes," the computer said, me smiling at how Keira had signed up myself, Jak, and even Maia for it, but I was wondering where she was... and then Maia appeared from nearby via floating through the air from the outside of the stadium.
"Whew! What did I miss, am I late?" she asked.
"Right on time, now let's go race," I smiled widely as we proceeded to the race track and we got into our race bikes, us waiting at the race line for the last competitor, where I saw it happened to be Jinx, us then getting the dings to happen before we rushed off the track and proceeded to first place as fast as we could!
And it was at this time that I saw that the Class 3 races were a team race, with us going against two opposing teams! One was Errol's racing team of KG members and the other was from a racing team for... Osmo?
"I didn't know that Osmo was into racing, too!" Daxter smirked as I saw that Osmo's team consisted of Ximon, Brutter, and a random face that I didn't recognize for a change... that is, until their name popped up when they got too damaged to carry on and they had to rush off the track when their car got destroyed.
"Um... Cousin Zeke? What's he doing here?" I asked, but I really needed to stop being surprised. But it was a question that needed answered. Why were all of my family members appearing in this world?! Let alone Zeke, who was the reason my Aunt Gertrude ended up trying to blow up the school, due to Zeke getting expelled for knifing a student because he was THAT kind of bully.
Regardless, I didn't let that affect my driving, as I saw that Jinx was fast on Praxis's side, but not fast enough to compete with me and Jak. But Maia seemed to be struggling a tiny bit, but she then got the hang of it and, by the end of the extensive 5 laps, Maia managed to net 4th place as Jinx got 3rd, Jak 2nd and me 1st! And after this, I heard the computer speak after.
"Congratulations. You have won the Gold record for Best Lap, the Gold Record for Best Single Time, and the Bronze Record for Best Combined Time," the computer said, me smirking at how we then got a payout of 21 orbs and we then got the trophy and went back to Keira's garage after.
"When is this city gonna provide some challenge, huh?! Hehe!" Daxter smirked as Keira then looked at Maia with a smile, her tears having since dried up.
"Love the new look, Maia. Too many pumberries?" Keira asked, which Maia blushed even pinker at.
"Yeah... I managed to become a sage of Light Eco from this old lady in the bazaar. At least I don't look like I did on those wanted posters anymore," Maia smiled.
"Hey, good racing out there, today," said the voice of Ashelin as she appeared, me looking at her with a smile.
"Hey, Ashelin. Uh, have you met Keira?" I asked, Keira nodding at that.
"Yeah, we have," she said, animosity running high.
"Okay, why pissy all of a sudden?" I asked, Keira giving me a glare after.
"I accidentally destroyed one of her trophies when I was younger, when I was 15. I was a rebellious teenager," Ashelin frowned.
"So... what's your age now?" I asked her.
"19, why do you need to know?"
"You don't look it," I frowned, Ashelin smiling.
"Keep talking, 'Adora', and we'll see how far I can kick you," she smirked at me.
"Okay, sorry..." I sighed.
"By the way, thanks for helping out with the eco tanker. You saved a lot of lives. Is uh... 'Diego' still around?"
"Yes, he's hanging out with my dad and Jilly... and from what my Scout Fly is telling me, he's actually treating them really nicely," I smiled, which made Ashelin look at me in confusion.
"Your dad? And who is he?"
"His name's Roger and he's part of the KG, I guess? I trust him enough that he won't blab."
"I'll make sure of that," Ashelin frowned as she then looked out towards the exit. "I'm not my father, you know? Every day I look down at the city from that ridiculous palace... and imagine a better place... by the way, I'd watch out for the KG from here on out. I can't protect you from them if Praxis were to catch on," Ashelin said as she then walked off and I looked at the others with a sigh.
"Whew, talk about tension..." I sighed.
"Yeah, tell me about it. She's always sashaying everywhere, acting all high and mighty," Keira frowned.
"You do remember what she said, right? That she hates living at the palace?" I frowned.
"She's trying to get under your skin, I just know it. I don't trust her as far as I can throw her."
"And how far would that be?" Daxter asked, Keira then stepping on his tail, resulting in a loud yell after. We then disbanded after so that Keira could calm down... and I saw that I was getting a call on my phone from Pecker.
"We sense that the stars are aligning. Come to the tent, we have something to show you," Pecker said in the message, which all four of our quartet proceeded to the eastern bazaars and went to Onin's tent, where we saw she was speaking with Pecker and Kor about something.
"It's simply ludicrous! At his age, he's no match for the Metal Head Leader!" Kor frowned. And then I spoke up.
"Ahem, hello," I smiled.
"Oh, you four. We were just talking about Samos's plan," Kor said, me frowning at them.
"Onin says she is very pleased with what you did, Dory," Pecker said as I looked at her hand movements and saw that what I did in specific was rescue Taryn from Baron Praxis as well as saving the bazaar from the Metal Head sneak attack.
"You're welcome," I smiled. I then interpreted some more. "Uh huh... time to show my brains as opposed to my wit and brawn, huh? Okay, how so?" I smirked.
"Beat this test and the way to the Tomb of Mar will be revealed," Pecker smiled, me then focusing as Onin then proceeded to have me enter the minigame... and I saw that she was needing me to poke different pieces of eco that emerged from a small scrying bowl in front of her, me connecting them in pairs to get more points as well as seeing that they were parts of the time stream... and that some of them looked to be cracked in places... and when I matched bigger comboes, they manage to repair. And of these time streams, it consisted of what the events should've been, which were completely undamaged, as well as events from this current adventure that were fractured... and then cracks were formed from both this timeline and my own, which included my family and friends!
And after getting to the final combo parade, I gawked at how the final timestream revealed what exactly was happening for me and my family to have been sent far into the future. Apparently, just my mere presence has made it so that multiple timelines had been formed, with there being three alternate timelines in total. One where I was to be married to Jak and where we'd end up ruling over Spargus in the third game's finale, but Haven would be lost without us and get taken over by Vegar!
The second timeline was of Baron still being in charge of Haven, but all of us in the Underground had managed to defeat the Metal Head Leader and stop the war. But we all started to revolt against him until he died, which would result in a ton of lives lost.
The third timeline, however? It was the one I was currently in, where everything had gone as such so far... but anything after? It all depended on if I allowed Krew's plan to succeed or not with the Time Cutter. If it succeeded, he'd end up getting warped across the galaxy and become a crime boss across timelines, resulting in bad things for numerous differnet worlds, consisting of Ratchet and Clank's universe, Sly Cooper's, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, a team up with Eggman in Sonic's universe, even going as far as becoming a part of Skylanders and becoming the biggest threat they'd ever seen, even bigger than Kaos!
But if Krew's plan didn't succeed or, at the very least, he was killed off before the Time Cutter could be used by him, then the end would be the proper way it should've been, with Haven City being saved, Baron Praxis dethroned and replaced with Ashelin, Jak's younger self going to the past with the Shadow, Korraquon being killed, and me finally learning how to use Light Eco without issue, thus starting my journey to Sagehood of Light Eco! And that it'd be Jak's younger self that'd teach me the basics before being sent back in time!
"Whoa... far out..." I gawked. So that meant that Krew had to be killed off, because it did say he was still going to sell out the city to the Metal Heads, even if it resulted in innocents being killed. Definitely something that I didn't want to happen.
But after learning this? I knew the thing I'd want to change. Do not give Krew the Precursor Stone. Instead, I'd sneak into the Tomb of Mar via invisibility, take the Precursor Stone, and use the powers of green, blue, and yellow eco to create a fake version that Praxis would steal and would stay disguised as such via the very same cloaking technology as Diego's bracelet! I just needed to ask Errol for the tech and I'd get it done quick!
"Behold! The Seal of Mar is now complete!" Pecker smiled as Jak held it in his hands. "Onin says that you will use this seal to reveal a contraption that will lead to an ancient light tower. There, you will take the artifacts you discovered at the Mountain Temple to activate it. Many old songs and tales exist telling of the ancient tower showing the way to Mar's Tomb. I sing one of these songs for you," Pecker said, me immediately noping out and disappearing and proceeding to call Errol up.
"Errol? Dis is Adora. Ah've got an important mission fer both of us. It'll require cloakin' tech, a stone of some kind, and it's all based on Mar's Tomb. Meet me at da statue of Mar in 5 minutes wid de stuff, please," I said in my accent to his personal caller as opposed to the guard device. And after, he spoke into it.
"I'll be there," he said as I then proceeded out of the lower parts of the bazaar and went to the statue, seeing Errol was there in only 4 minutes.
"Now you're the one being early," I smirked at him as I got my armor plated on.
"Yes, I am. Is there a reason this stuff needs done now?" Errol asked, me nodding.
"Don't say a word to anyone, especially the Baron. The tomb is about ready to be found, and inside lays the Precursor Stone. I need to forge a fake that looks believable enough for Praxis to try and steal. He'll take the fake one, I take the real one," I said, Errol smiling at that.
"You sure you aren't a criminal? Because that's devious!" he smirked at me.
"When we get the stone, I'll defend it with my life, but we need to pretend that the stone taken by Praxis is the real one. I'll then look into it to try and find out what to do with it... but I've seen the future. At some point in the coming days, not sure when, but the Metal Heads will invade the city before the due date of the deal," I said, Errol gawking at that, but staying quiet. "We need to make sure we get as much Eco as possible to lure Korraquon out into the open and then use the Eco to lure him out. Once we do so, I'm going to try and use some of the power in the stone to destroy him," I smirked, which Errol smiled at.
"So when will the tomb be revealed?" Errol asked... and then we heard some explosions happen from above us, me then gasping as the statue had been hit by a giant beam of blue eco that slashed through the head of the statue! I used the blue eco from the fountain and rushed myself and Errol out of dodge before the rubble could hit us, and luckily, it didn't hit anyone after as we all got out of the way just in time! "Whew... that. That is when the tomb is revealed..." I sighed after catching my breath, Errol then looking at the newly revealed door and gawking.
"The tomb's been under our noses this whole time? Right in front of the palace, no less? I never would've guessed!" Errol gawked with a small chuckle, but quietly. "Okay, while you go in there and do your plan, take these," Errol smirked as he then gave the stuff to me. One for the cloaking technology and the other for a crystallized Metal Head skull gem! It was more like amber than it was squishy! And after using the cloaking tech on it, the stone was now looking like the Precursor Stone itself, me hiding it in my bag before anyone else could see. And then?
"Commander Errol, this is Baron Praxis! Meet up at the statue outside of the palace in t-minus 5 minutes! I know where the tomb is now, thanks to Torn. Until further notice, Ashelin is on house arrest," Praxis said, me looking at Errol and him looking back at me.
"What does that mean?" he asked, me frowning at him.
"I'll text it to you when I find out. I'm going to do some digging," I said as I then rushed into the tomb and Errol then cleared out. I then waited inside of the tomb after letting down my armor and then hid via Dark Invisibility, me then texting Torn on my phone to find out why the Baron had Ashelin on house arrest and why he knew the tomb had been revealed so fast.
"It's... my fault... Baron threatened to kill Ashelin for spying. His own daughter! I couldn't risk that, even for the Underground... don't tell anyone... just try to protect them as best you can. They don't deserve any of this," Torn said, me smiling at that.
"Don't worry, Torn. Baron wants to fight? I'll fight harder," I texted him back before then forwarding Torn's text to both Errol AND Ashelin! And this happened before Kor, Shadow, Tess, and kid Jak came in through the elevator. And after? I got a message from Ashelin... good thing that I had it on silent as of now and that it was able to turn invisible so long as I touched it with my skin.
"He did WHAT?! I'll try to sneak out as fast as I can before he finds me," she said with concern.
"Look for a guy called Roger. He'll help you," I texted her. And then I got a text from Errol.
"He's gone TOO FAR! What do you want me to do? I'll do anything from here on out if he's threatening his own goddamn daughter!" he said, me gawking at that. Errol was definitely on our side now, no matter what.
"Whatever Baron tells you to do, don't do it. I think he's going to have you kidnap my allies in the Underground and arrest them, most likely to kill them at a later date. Don't let him do that," I said, which Errol agreed with.
"I'll do it," he texted back, me then staying silent as the cutscene played out when Jak, Dax, and Maia emerged from the door.
"You did it, Jak and Maia! You actually found Mar's tomb!" young Samos gawked.
"Great! Now what? We send this poor kid into the meat grinder?" Jak asked in annoyance.
"Long have I awaited this day... when I can finally hold the fabled Precursor Stone in my hands..." Kor said, me frowning at his big smile.
"Be cautious, child. Mar's tomb will be fraught with peril, and only Mar's heir must face them alone," Shadow said as Daxter then tried to give the kid a pep talk. Badly.
"It's okay, kid! You can do it! It's just a grim, dark, sure-to-be-filled-to-the-brim-with-painful-death, old tomb... I wouldn't go in there." Dammit, Daxter, if I wanted to talk, I'd do so right now! And then the Oracle woke up from me walking forward.
"Welcome, heir of Mar. Finally, the chosen one stands before me. Enter and begin the tests of manhood," the oracle said as the kid was then going to be escorted in as I proceeded to move into the tomb. "NO! This child is too young to face the tests!" And then the door started to close on its own, me rushing down the stairs on the jetboard to make as little sound as possible and, once I got to the bottom, I then waited at the very edge by the giant double doors, needing to play the patient game. I then sighed and proceeded to play a tiny volume of music on my side, it being at a very low volume. So, what did I do? I proceeded to hold the phone by my ears so I could listen to the songs. And I waited like this for Jak and Daxter for roughly 10 minutes as they completed the trials before the two lights managed to make the door open up.
"Okay, gig's up, now to go inside the tomb..." I said as I then went into the room with the Precursor stone and let invisibility down, which I saw Daxter right there on the ground.
"What the?! Where'd you come from, Dory?!" he asked in shock.
"I hid myself in plain sight with invisibility, and now I'm going to do something eventful. Don't wait up," I said as I then went to the Precursor Stone and heard the Precursor speak.
"Welcome, chosen one. Many eons have passed since the age of the Precursors died and the new age began of the Hora'quon, or as you know them as, Metal Heads. Even now, the Metal Head Leader wishes to devour the last remnants of the Precursors. Behold, the Precursor Stone!" the oracle said, me then going to said stone and seeing that it was embedded firmly into the statue... that is, until I touched it... at which point, it unlocked immediately! I then proceeded to place the fake into the hole and hid it in there and placed the Precursor Stone in my bag.
"Don't tell a soul, pretend the fake is a real one, okay, Dax? You too, Oracle," I said, the Oracle agreeing with a simple hum.
"Why?" Daxter asked as I then went back to the main area as Jak appeared. And once he got over the pit? It was then that Baron came in with his spiderbot!
"Well! Thank you idiots very much for leading me straight to the stone! Your foolish Underground friends were no match for my guards above!" Baron shouted.
"Hah! We'll see about that, you pompous fatass!" I shouted at him, which he growled at me.
"YOU! I've been meaning to find you for the longest time, you little runaway! How did you even escape the prison?!" Baron asked in anger.
"I had some help, same with Jak. Meanwhile, if you even DARE try to take that stone, then I'm going to send some major pain to both you and your overgrown battlebot," I smirked at him.
"But how did you get in? I didn't see you enter," Jak said with surprise.
"I use invisible skills. You'll learn them from the Oracle in due time, I'm sure," I smirked as Baron growled.
"I'll be sure you never get that chance! Now give me the stone!" Baron shouted.
"ABOMINATION! THE PRECURSOR STONE WAS NOT MEANT FOR TAINTED HANDS!" the Oracle shouted as the doors then closed behind us and Baron started to drill at the latches holding the fake in place.
We then entered the boss fight, where I did end up getting a shot to the arm (AND IT HURT LIKE A BITCH!) but I quickly healed myself with a health pack nearby. And after he got the stone, I then proceeded to smack the Baron's pod by jumping on top of it and shooting some blaster shots at the engine port on the very back of it!
"Cut that out! Get off of my pod!" he shouted.
"Not until you give me the stone back!" I shouted at him, Baron then responding by exiting the spider pod and me gawking at how I had to escape with blue eco before the pod exploded! And Baron had managed to escape with the stone in the process... but luckily, not the fake.
"Dammit! He got the stone!" Jak growled.
"Ahem. No he doesn't," Daxter smirked as I then revealed the real deal.
"Y-You tricked him? That's the real one?" Jak asked.
"Do NOT say a WORD to ANYONE about this. It is crucial to the plan that nobody but us knows that the stone is a fake. Only myself, you, Daxter, and Errol know about it," I said, Jak growling at that.
"You're trusting Errol with this information?!" he asked as I then showed him the text messages between myself and Errol, including the part about Torn selling out the Underground to protect Ashelin. And Jak looked at me after in surprise. "I... I don't understand. He was the worst person ever... and now he's helping us?" Jak asked in disbelief.
"As I said, nobody knows. Not even Torn or Keira. If anyone else finds out, the whole operation is a bust. We need to make sure Baron doesn't know that he has a fake stone made of crystallized skull gem. He needs to believe it's real. Until further notice, leave the Precursor Stone to me. We need to find out what the Baron plans to do with it and we need to find out how to lure out the Metal Head Leader so we can end him before he ends us," I smirked.
"Okay... okay, I'll trust you on this. But if anything happens to anyone, I will never forgive you," Jak said to me.
"Understood," I said as I then texted Errol on the way out of the tomb. What did I text him? "What happened while I was in the tomb?" I texted him. His response?
"The Baron managed to get into the tomb and I had the guards arrest the Underground members... that is, until we exited the tomb and I commanded them to release them. They tried to speak up against me, but I stopped them by saying something truthful. That the Baron threatened to kill his own daughter in order to get the Precursor Stone. And then I asked if they wanted to follow a man who'd kill his own child. They disbanded after. And others heard."
I was surprised by this news, but then texted back.
"I have the parcel in hand and the Baron has the pseudo-stone. Meet up with me at the Slums by the Fortress," I said, him speaking after.
"Will do," he said after.
