Sofia took a deep breath with her eyes closed. She could hear the cheers and hollers of everyone outside. When she opened her eyes, the reflection from the mirror was what greeted her
There she was, wearing the honorary Master Sorceress robe given to the most few chosen that has excelled in the field of magic. And among those few chosen was Sofia herself who has proven time and time again her prowess in sorcery and her dedication of proving so in her years of studying in Hexley Hall
And today was the day where she would officially be inaugurated as Enchancia's very own first Master Sorceress in the history of the kingdom. The honor is given by the council of Magic themselves along with the legendary crest of spellmakers
"Sofia?" a sudden voice from behind the door was heard and it got her attention "It's time." The voice whispered
The princess stood up and answered the door. And there greeted her was the castle's young Royal Sorceress with a robe quite different to hers
"Good Morning, Calista" Sofia smiled at her, in which the teenager only responded with a look of admiration. She then leaned in for an embrace in which Sofia eagerly took
"You finally did it, Sofia. You made your dreams come true" Sofia could hear Calista whisper to her as she held the younger sorceress in her arms
When they finally pulled away, Calista's smile was then replaced by a melancholy expression.
"What's wrong, Calista?" Sofia asked
Upon noticing her concern, the Royal Sorceress shook her head sideways and forced a smile "Nothing nothing at all, Sofia… it's just…" she hesitated, as their gazes met
"If only he was here to see you now. He would be very happy for sure"
The implication of the man she's talking about also hit Sofia on the inside. It had been a long time ago ever since that happened, and till this day – she still often thought of him… and that day

"W-What's going on?"
Sofia cried out upon seeing a couple of guards hold down a shackled man with his wrists restrained with locks.
She turned to her family whom had a sad look on their faces
"Mom… Dad… what is happening?"
"This man is charged for the act of treason in the kingdom of Enchancia. He will be exiled from the kingdom and to never return again and we will take care of the rest" one of the ministers of Magic answered as Sofia turned around
"W-What… you mean when he tried too…" the memories flashed back to Sofia on that time where he tried to overthrow the kingdom – but changed his ways out of the goodness of his heart
"Mister Cedric is not like that. He's changed!" Sofia reasoned out "Please let him go"
"Laws are laws, Sofia…" King Roland answered "Especially those written in the council of Magic where Cedric is bound to"
"Dad, can't we do something about it!?" Sofia turned to the King in a desperate manner
"Sofia… there's nothing we can do" it was Miranda this time who explained to the princess "Cedric has to answer for his actions"
"But he's not like that. We all know Cedric, he couldn't hurt a fly" Sofia reasoned out
She then turned to the minister of Magic "How long is Mister Cedric gonna be imprisoned for?"
The man uttered out a chuckle and smirked "Imprisoned? The way we do things is different."
He took a step to the side to reveal a spell being done to Cedric which took out a certain sphere of energy from his chest
"What's going on? What are you doing to him?!" Sofia cried out
"His essence will be taken indefinitely and destroyed into smithereens. Since he violated a sacred code among Royal Sorcerers – he won't be needing it anymore"
"In other words… his magic is no more." The minister added
The prisoner was then escorted to a trolley nearby. But before that, Sofia ran to the felon and held both of his hands
"Mister Ceedric… what will happen to you now?" Sofia's voice shivered and she was on the verge of tears
The man forced a smile and held her cheek "Don't worry about me, Princess. I can handle this"
"Is it true they will be taking your magic away?"
Cedric hesitated and closes his eyes. He nodded
"No… I can't let them do that to you!"
"Promise me this, Sofia" he spoke softly and looked into her eyes "You will fulfill your dreams and become the greatest Sorceress ever."
"That is OUR dream, Mister Cedric. Side by side and hand in hand!" her tears now raced down her cheek "That we will be the greatest Sorcerers ever!"
Cedric leaned in and planted a kiss on her forehead before the guards finally pulled him away and to the cargo where he is gonna be transported away. Sofia just stared helplessly as Cedric forced another smile at her as the wagon started running
Sofia stood up and tried to run after them but James was quick to hold her back and prevent her from doing something stupid
"Let me go, James!" Sofia yelled in desperation
"You know I can't, Sof. You'll make things more complicated then" her brother responded
Upon finally calming down, the princess fell to her knees. Her tears now streaming endlessly on her face
"Noooo..." Sofia sobbed as she watched the cargo take Cedric away and further. The figure of the carriage slowly disappearing from the distance
"Mister Cedric…"
.
.
.
"Behold… Sofia the Sensational!"
Hearing her name being announced woke Sofia up from her daydream to see she was getting called to get up on the podium and accept the honorary. When she finally made her way to the center, she was showered with praises and cheers by everyone.
Sofia caught a glance of her family and friends attending with proud expressions on her face. Her heart was graced with joy upon seeing this
"Congratulations, Princess Sofia. You are now a Master Sorceress!" Merlin walked over to her and handed her the Conjuror's Crest and the Mythical Wand exclusively given to Master Sorcerers
The hailing and respect she was getting made her feel honored. It was Sofia's finest moment for sure.
But somehow… something was missing. Right beside her is a certain person that should've been there… with her – accepting the same honorary as she is. It has been almost ten years, yet, he never fared away from her thoughts. The hope of seeing Cedric again remains active to this day

.
"I know you're always with me, Mister Cedric" with her eyes closed, a tear fell to her cheeks as she whispered in her thoughts with a heartbroken look on her face
"I will carry out our dreams for us"

"Does that mean Enchancia is out of the question for a lick now? I heard they got trinkets and treasures held up in one of them chambers. We'd be lords if we can get those!"
"You should already know now that Enchancia is off-limits, boy." A certain elderly man nagged in response
"What…why!?"
"Because.." he turned to a certain person in a corner reading the newspaper
"Nah, I actually agree with the kid" suddenly the man in particular stood up and his raspy voice got everyone's attention. He then crumpled the newspaper on his hand and tossed it away "I say we get at it."
"You mean Enchancia?"
"Yeah."
"Are you certain?"
"What the kid's saying is true. They do got all kinds of treasuries and valuables there. And I used to know that place from top to bottom. I know my way around there, I'm certain we'd be leaving with the fortune of a lifetime"
"That is your hometown.."
"Was. Things have changed now."

.
"And what about the girl?"
The man smirked and turned around, revealing his long jet black hair, face graced with a beard – and deep brown eyes as he pulls out a certain steel weapon from his holster that looked odd and unlike the usual primitive stuff

"I'll deal with her."
