The group scouted many areas of Everspring Mountain in search of Princess Senki. To their dismay, they couldn't find her.

"Poor Senki-chan..." A saddened Ageha said. "Just where could she be?"

Ringo, the Faelandian pixie, also frowned. "I hope the princess is safe -gogo."

Just the thought of Senki going missing heavily concerned Sora, to which she replied "Me too."

Komugi whimpered. "I can't track her scent -wan..."

Soon they stopped upon hearing a phone ringing. It was Ageha's.

"Huh?"

"What's that noise -gogo?" Asked Ringo.

"It's my cell phone. Let me check..." Ageha checked her phone to see who was calling. "Ah! It's Preme's number!"

"Who's Preme -gogo?" Asked Ringo, who would then receive a nudge in the arm from his sister.

"Ringo! You're asking too many questions -gogo!" Said the snappy Ichigo.

Ageha immediately answered the call.

"Preme-chan, I'm sorry! We didn't make it to the camping spot yet. A friend of ours is missing and..."

Sora and the others remained quiet to hear the conversation.

Ageha suddenly perked up with excitement. "Oh?! You found Senki-chan? Thank goodness!"

Her relief was contagious, and everyone smiled wide.

"Ah!"

Preme, however, was surprised to hear this. Her eyes widening as she observed the sleeping princess. Puca stayed by the princess' side, putting the cloth in cold water and placing it on Senki's forehead.

"S-Senki?"

"Yeah, yeah! We've been looking everywhere in the mountain! We're glad to hear that she made it to the camping spot!" Ageha replied, her upbeat tone swiftly returning.

Preme turned away, pacing forward just a few steps from the tent.

"I see. But she has a cold."

Ageha's expression quickly changed. "Eh? A cold?"

"Oh no!" Exclaimed Ringo. "Princess Senki can get easily sick -gogo!"

The others exclaimed as well, worried. "Eh?!"

"Unlike us pixies, Faelandian fairies are more sensitive..." Explained Ichigo. "...especially if it rains -gogo!"

"Her weakness is water." Said Matilda, who frowned. "If a Faelandian fairy gets caught in the rain, they lose their power of flight. As for Princess Senki, she loses both her flight power and her Fairy Energy. She is also prone to colds."

Ageha gasped. "That's terrible!"

The knight held a small pouch in her hand and sighed.

"I cannot fathom that she forgot to carry this Fae Dust..."

"Everyone." Sora spoke with strictness in her voice. "We have what Senki needs, so we'll head to the other side of the mountain and find the camping spot right away!"

"We will let her rest and will provide what we have when she wakes." Said Preme.

"Okay! Let us know everything!" Ageha replied.

"Yes."

Shortly after ending the call, Preme realized something as she approached to check on the ill princess.

"What's wrong -puca?" Puca floated by her side.

"The fairy." Preme spoke, her voice deep and serious.

"She's the one with Nightmarina's Curse.

As I suspected, this fairy...

...is Princess Senki of Faeland."

Puca gasped, eyes widening. "Princess Senki -puca?!"

A silent nod. Preme reminisced the very moment she met her enemy...

FLASHBACK

It was not long after the duo arrived at Everspring Mountain that she appeared.

Nightmarina, the Faelandian fairy of the most terrible of visions, was their opponent.

"Haaaa!"

Cure Supreme and Cure Puca launched a powerful attack towards her. The attack stunned her, and she was pushed to the soil, but she regained herself with a power of similar strength.

Dungeon Energy.

Cure Supreme and Cure Puca landed safely on their feet after the attack. Nightmarina pulled an entire tree off its roots on the soil and launched it at the two.

Supreme and Puca extended their hands forward, channeling energy to their fingers before shooting blasts of cyan and pink lightning at the incoming tree, destroying it.

"Just what are you planning -puca?!" Puca yelled.

"Whatever it is, we won't let you do it!" Cure Supreme yelled as she stood on a battle stance, prepared to face the enemy.

Nightmarina scoffed. "You're incredibly stubborn."

Floating up, Nightmarina summoned Dungeon Energy, her piercing icy eyes behind black eyeshadow glaring at Cure Supreme.

"You."

In a swift movement, Nightmarina rolled her hand into a fist to attack, but Supreme dodged her punch with her arms and fought back by kicking the other's arms away.

But when the dark fairy saw an opening, she took ahold of her arm, widened eyes and a creepy smirk ensuing.

"Supreme!" Puca screamed.

"Your power intrigues me, Cure Supreme...

Let me see your past..."

Preme's pupils shrank as the fairy's power infiltrated her memories.

In a misty vision was an entity. She was dressed in a black gown, she had red eyes and carried with her an immense power of creation and destruction itself.

Chuckles were heard from Nightmarina, a sinister smirk growing as she glared at her opponent.

"I've found her... the one and only true Precure and a fine addition to my curse."

Puca gasped, summoning energy to release the other from Nightmarina's grasp. "Supreme, hang in there -puca!"

"Fragmented memories of Supreme Beta, come to your master!"

Eyes widening, Supreme felt a dark aura leaving her. Then, the aura turned into a surge of darkness.

Before she knew it, Nightmarina was struck by the pink lightning, her hand letting go of Supreme, releasing her.

She took this chance to attack with another beam. And then, the fairy disappeared in leafy particles.

"Supreme!" Puca went to her aid, but Supreme was fine.

A slight twitch of her hands indicated she was starting to shake, however.

Something seemed off.

Looking around, Preme yelled.

"What did you do?!"

Nightmarina's voice echoed in the wind...

"Just wait and see, Cure Supreme. You'll soon meet my precious vessel... the carrier of Nightmarina's Curse...

...Princess Senki of Faeland."

The area that surrounded the two began darkening, as if nighttime quickly arrived. A cold wind began to blow, and Nightmarina's power of darkness intensified.

Supreme held Puca's hand, the other looking around frantically as darkness reigned in the area.

The noises, the trees, everything around them became distorted. The sky turned pitch black with tints of red and dark purple.

"Puca!" The frightened Cure Puca cried, hugging Cure Supreme. She hugged her back to reassure her.

She remained strong, but deep down in Supreme's heart, she felt something she had never felt before...

Fear.

"And she will bring forth nightmares!"

The vision ended with a loud thunderclap.

CRASH!

"Gah!"

Preme jolted awake and sat up, panting heavily. It was the first time she had a nightmare, and she felt on edge. Her heart beat many miles a minute, and her hands were shaking.

"Preme!" Puca also woke up to check on her. "Are you okay -puca?!"

Preme looked down at herself, soon noticing she was feeling her own rapid heartbeat.

"My heart... my hands..."

She clutched her hands into shaky fists, her voice shuddering.

"I'm... shaking..."

"Puca?" Puca's eyes stared at the other with concern.

"Is this... is this what it feels to have bad dreams?" Her voice broke.

"Is this what Princess Senki feels?"

Fingertips gently placed upon her neck, Preme felt a lump growing in her throat. That, and tears began to appear.

She was crying.

"Is that... the reason she felt scared of me?"

The rabbit fairy didn't hesitate to give Preme a warm hug.

"It's okay -puca." She spoke softly. "It was just a bad dream -puca."

"...?"

Preme slowly returned the hug, a warm smile eventually growing. Her anxieties faded away as a tear streamed down her cheek.

"Puca. Thank you."

Withdrawing from the hug and wiping her tears away, Preme turned to Senki, placing a hand on her forehead. She immediately frowned.

"She's still feverish..."

The rabbit fairy held the wet cloth in her paws. "I prepared the cloth -puca!"

Smiling, the other gently took the cloth to place on Senki's forehead. The fairy princess opened her eyes a tad.

"Preme?" She mumbled, and was greeted with a soft smile from the other.

"It's okay." Preme said quietly. "Go back to sleep."

Senki slowly closed her eyes and returned to sleep.

Sitting back with an arm rested on a pillow, Preme thought aloud.

"I begin to understand."

"Puca?" A head tilt from the rabbit fairy.

"All of us have the same feelings.

Us, Princess Senki, and everyone else...

We come from completely different worlds, but our feelings are equal.

We're different, yet the same."

"I understand, too -puca." Puca smiled. "I felt as happy and excited as everyone else to begin this adventure. I'm sure Princess Senki felt the same -puca!"

Preme stared down at the sleeping princess.

"She said she'd leave to protect Sora-san and the others. She'd leave us, too, if she got the chance.

But I must protect her.

Is that... love?"

The rabbit fairy smiled. "Yes -puca! Princess Senki loves us too! You see, Preme, it's the bonds of friendship that bring us together -puca!"

Preme smiled warmly.

"I see. She loves everyone to the point she'd leave to protect us from Nightmarina... to face this struggle alone.

She must be a brave Precure."

A wave of drowsiness soon took over. Her head bowed down, and her eyes felt heavy. A little groan escaped her throat.

Puca stared at her. "Are you sleepy -puca?"

Preme let out a sleepy chuckle. "I guess so..."

Almost immediately, the rabbit fairy yawned, lying down on her sleeping pad to rest for the night. "Me too -puca... Zzzzz..."

Chuckling again, Preme tucked the tiny fairy in a warm blanket, then stroked her head gently.

"Good night, Puca."

It was her turn to lay down on her own sleeping pad, tucking herself in a blanket and slowly closing her eyes to drift off to sleep once more.

The soft rustling of the leaves and the whooshing of the nighttime winds was their lullaby.

THE NEXT DAY...

Soon the sun rose and a new day began. Birds chirped and leaves quietly rustled. It was a calm morning.

Puca was snoring. Preme was still asleep.

However...

"Epic epic!"

Senki's loud voice alerted her.

"...!"

Preme sat up and looked at the sleeping pad that was next to hers and Puca's, and noticed Senki wasn't there.

She was already awake.

"Princess Senki!"

"This camping spot is the best!"

Preme left the tent to find Senki nearby. Senki had her arms stretched out as she admired the chosen camping spot and felt the morning breeze.

"It has such a nice view of the sky!"

"? ? ?" Preme blinked twice at the other's demeanor.

"Miss Fairy is awake -puca!" Puca chimed joyfully.

"And the trees!

I love the trees!"

The princess swayed side to side in utmost joy. She had always enjoyed nature, and the camping spot certainly was the cherry on top.

"Princess Senki."

"...?" The princess quickly shifted her gaze to Preme, who approached with a blanket in hand to offer to her.

"Ah! Good morning, Preme!" Senki waved and smiled.

"What are you doing?" Preme raised a brow. "You're supposed to be resting."

"Resting?" Senki tilted her head.

Preme nodded, unfolding the blanket to cover the other with. "Yes. Come now."

But Senki stepped back. "But it's a bright day! Perfect to fly!"

Preme insisted. "Come on, Princess. You still have a cold. You need to rest, otherwise your cold won't get better, and your Fairy Energy will be exhausted."

". . ."

A prolonged sigh escaped the young princess, before realizing what the other said, and her expression changed to one of shock and impression.

"EH?! H-h-h-how do you know about that?! Did you meet the other Precures? Because I don't recall them mentioning either of you!"

"I contacted our friends, they told me about you." Preme explained, and looked away with a frown. She remembered how Nightmarina saw the visions of Supreme Beta and used her fragmented memories to bring a curse upon the other.

"Nightmarina did as well."

A slight gasp from Senki when she heard that name.

"Nightmarina? You saw her too?"

"Yes." Preme nodded, expression shifting to a more serious one. "It seems we have a common foe."

Looking down at the ground, Senki took a moment to ponder over what happened recently.

"So... how did you find me?"

Preme also remembered that moment. She and Puca had already seen her before.

"We saw you when you ran away and followed you. You fell ill, and we brought you to the camping spot to recover."

Senki looked away. "I see.

I'm sorry. I was so excited to begin this adventure with my friends.

But... I left them... to protect them."

A hand took rest on Senki's shoulder, and upon looking up at Preme, she was met with a warm smile.

"...?"

"Do you not remember what I said? I'll be the one to protect you from Nightmarina. You don't have to worry."

Fully unfolding the blanket, Preme let it fall over Senki's shoulders to protect her from the cold breeze.

"Now please, lay down and rest. You don't want your cold to worsen."

A nod. "Yes."

But it was then when a wave of pain and uneasiness reached the princess, and she clutched her chest.

"Ngh!"

"...!

Princess Senki, are you okay?" Preme held her shoulders so she would not collapse. "If anything hurts, just tell me!"

But the dark energies took control of Senki, which caused her to harshly push the other away.

"Leave me alone!"

Preme gasped, falling to the ground. Senki was being influenced by the same surge of darkness that froze her.

"Puca!" The rabbit fairy flew to her aid.

"Don't worry, I'm okay." Preme reassured the other.

The surge of dark magic grew a black aura around Senki, resulting in a powerful burst.

"Aaah!"

Preme and Puca watched in terror as the aura intensified and took the form of a new monster bit by bit.

An Insomnion appeared, stomping its large feet on the soil.

"Insomnion!"

Puca's eyes widened. "Another one -puca?!"

"! ! !

Princess Senki!"

The surge disappeared. Preme ran to catch Senki in her arms before she could fall to the soil.

Senki fainted.

"Nightmarina's Curse..."

She looked down at Senki, then up at the monster.

"...manifested."

In a haste, she set the unconscious Senki down on the sleeping pad and held in her hands her very own transformation device.

It was time to face and purify the Insomnion.

"Insomnion!" The monster clutched its hands into fists, a battle was about to begin.

"Let's go, Puca!"

Puca nodded. "Puca!"
