"Well then. Perhaps I'll see you another time, dear?" The man speaking had gently grabbed her hand and kissed it.

Weiss wanted to roll her eyes terribly and gag at the constant nickname and poor flirtatious lines he'd say, but she had to keep up a look so as not to damage her father's relationship with these people. However, this suitor was surely the worst of them all. Weiss put on an empty smile and gave a curtsy bow. "We shall see. I have a busy schedule so it'll be difficult to find time for another rendezvous. You have a wonderful night now."

Weiss kept up the smile until they walked out of the mansion. As soon as they were gone from her sight, she dropped her facade and sighed in relief of his absence. She walked through the halls, a chilling cold stare on her face as she made way for her bedroom. She opened the door and dropped onto her bed, releasing a groan. "Why does Father have to keep pushing for me to pick a suitor?"

"That's businessmen for ya."

"AH!"

Weiss, with practice and precision, grabbed her weapon, Myrtenaster, and pointed it at the intruder. The perpetrator held his hands up in surrender, though a smirk was plastered on his face. "Whoa, I surrender!"

Weiss looked at the boy in question with disbelief. "What are you doing here, Kol?! You can't be here right now!"

The teen shrugged nonchalantly. He hopped down the window while moving the tip of her rapier with his finger. He walked closer to drop onto her bed in relaxation, putting his hand behind his head and a grin on his face. "What? I was bored and thought I'd stop by to have some fun. That no good?"

Weiss placed Myrtenaster aside and started to pull on the teen's shirt, trying to get him to budge. She gave up when your efforts bared no fruit. She then placed her hands on her hips. "That's not the point, idiot! You're not supposed to be here at all! How did you even get passed security?!"

"I told you, I was bored," the boy chuckled. He sat up and stood off the bed, looking around to spot anything of interest. "So what should we do? Got any games?"

"What you should do, is go home," Weiss demanded with a glare. She looked out the window to see if anyone was around so that Kol could exit without problems. Knowing the coast was clear, she turned back towards the boy. "No one is around. Now get going."

"Aw come on! I'm not getting through all that just to leave this early," Kol whined. Weiss crossed her arms, insisting that he leave, but of course, he didn't listen. Instead, he walked over to her door, opened it, and looked around. Before he could continue, he was pulled back by the collar of his shirt by Weiss.

"What are you doing?!"

"Give me a tour," Kol insisted. "Out of all the times I've been here, I never got a proper house tour."

"Maybe because you're never supposed to be here!" Weiss hissed. Kol started using his puppy eyes and silently begging Weiss to entertain him. Weiss was finding it difficult to decline his wish, and in the end, gave in. "Ugh! Fine, but if someone sees us, I'm throwing you in the cellar myself."

"Yes! You're the best, my little Weiss Cream," Kol gave a kiss on her head and giggled. He knew how much Weiss hated that nickname, but he couldn't help it. Weiss gritted her teeth with a blush on her face. Before Kol could do or say anything else, Weiss dragged him by his ear, giving the poor boy immense pain as revenge.

After exiting the room per his request, she let go of him, allowing him to rub the pain away. She started walking ahead saying nothing. Kol jogged to catch up. "So what happened today? Guessing your Dad tried to hook you up with someone else again?"

Weiss gave a solid elbow to his gut, making him lose the air in his lungs. He managed to keep beside her, though the discomfort of the blow bothered him. "Putting it that way makes it sound more disgusting."

"Well it's basically what he's doing," Kol muttered under his breath. He continued to take in the scenery of the mansion, seeing the giant hallways and spacious rooms. Weiss didn't give any words as she showed him around, and of course, would drag him into hiding spots since he was too awed to remember he had to hide from everyone else.

Eventually, they made it to the garden. Kol, while taking in the scenery, could tell Weiss was very perturbed. He frowned but kept a small smile on his face as he decided to try again to learn what was bothering her. "I know I'm being a real bother, but something else is bothering you. Want to talk about it?"

He took Weiss's hand in his, giving it a soft and gentle squeeze. Weiss looked at their hands, then into his eyes. She sighed as she squeezed his hand. "I'm just tired of all this," Weiss uses her other hand to gesture to everything around her, "I'm tired of being this… tool for my Father to use at his convenience to grow the company. He's been throwing out candidates for betrothal one after another. To make things worse, they're all terribly egoistic. I just want to take things at my own pace, make my own decisions," her hand tightens around his more, "with you."

Kol smiles contently with her words. He leads her by the hand through the floral maze. Taking in the beauty as they made their way to the center of the garden. Kol managed to lighten up the mood for Weiss by doing poor imitations of the candidates trying to court Weiss and mocking her Father. Things became more calm as they relaxed in the center of the garden.

It became silent as they sat on the bench together, looking up at the shattered moon. "...Weiss?"

"Yes?"

"You can't keep going on like this," Kol states. Weiss raises a brow as she looks over at her boyfriend, "...When will you accept it?"

"What are you talking about?" Weiss asks with concern and skepticism. She starts to feel uneasy and sick, and a weird feeling in her gut begins to rise more and more as she stares at Kol, as if she remembered a big detail she'd forgotten amongst the blissfulness. "No… NO!"

Within the blink of an eye, Kol's image was gone, his content smile being the last thing left in her mind before disappearing. "No no no! Kol! This isn't funny!"

"I love you, Weiss, and I know you love me too, but you have to let go," Kol's voice echoed.

"What are you saying!?" Weiss screamed desperately. Her head started to hurt immensely. Before she knew it, the scenery had changed to a dirty, trash-filled alleyway. Her pupils constricted as she knew exactly where she was. She turned around slowly, taking in the horrid sight. Kol's body lay there lifelessly, his eyes drained of color and bruises everywhere on his body.

Weiss awoke with a yell. She was breathing heavily and sweat rolled down her face. She could feel tears trying to break out, causing her to hold her hands against her eyes in desperation to hold them in.

"Weiss? Everything okay?"

Weiss looked up, seeing the face of her partner, Ruby Rose hanging on the side of her bed. Across she could see Yang, also looking at her with concern, and her respective partner, Blake, giving a more blank stare, but the concern was there. It was then that Weiss remembered where she was.

"...Y-yes, I'm fine… Just a bad dream."

Her teammates all look at each other, silently asking if they should pry further. They all decide to leave it for now and wish Weiss a good rest. Meanwhile, the heiress sat up and pulled out a necklace from under her pajamas. She opened the locket attached to it, revealing a photo of her when she was younger, alongside the boy in her dreams, Kol.

Weiss let a few tears escape as she clenched the precious item close to her chest.

"I miss you."
