This is my first fanfiction, I hope it is okay. Sorry it is a bit short.
Lisa lent against the lamppost, watching the svelte brunette seemingly waltz away, her brunette locks and black duster coat being picked up by the slight breeze.
Already, all she could picture in her thoughts was the moment they'd just shared before, fleeting but intense. It had left her with warmth rising up her body, her heart beating that little bit faster.
She let out a sigh, a mixture of relief and frustration.
Relief, as she honestly wasn't sure if that moment has lasted even a second longer that she would have been able to stop herself from breaking the tension and kissing her.
Frustration, as all she wanted right now was to see her, have her in front of her, the warm tickle of of her minty breath tantalisingly near, those sparkly green eyes, dark and beguiling and yet full of empathy, scanning her body, those soft blush lips, so close.
This wasn't meant to happen. She wasn't meant to let these feelings become so raging and palpable. Not when the person was someone she'd interviewed, someone who'd lied to the police, someone she shouldn't be liaising with outside of her professional work.
And yet here she was, leaning into the tenderness she had so kindly offered her, allowing her to see the softer side that hid beneath this hard faced, no nonsense façade.
And that was only even more intriguing. Who was she? Beneath the glamour, beneath the power, who was this woman.
Flashback to just before
'Look if you ever wanna chat about things, outside of your work, I'm here' Carla said softly, standing up and placing a hand on Lisa's shoulder.
I appreciate it Carla, look I wouldn't normally do this, but life has just been a bit much lately', Lisa said, turning to face Carla as they reached the door.
'Look, what we've spoken about, it goes no further, I just know how hard it can be, having no one to talk to' Carla said as Lisa shook her head lightly.
'Look you've been great' Lisa found herself catching Carla's eye, and the pair hesitated for a moment, their eyes locked for a little longer than expected.
Her eyes, eventually left Carla's are trailed down to her lips.. sucking in a breath Lisa let out a sigh.
'I'll see you around Carla'.
