I know everything runs off an eternal cycle. Everything has a balance. Everything has a purpose. Yet… what happened here? What happened on that Fateful Day, there was no purpose to it. No reason for it. It…. It… It was cruel. No cycle demanded for this to happen.
But…
But…
This story is far from over. This universe still stands a chance because one beacon of hope stands.
As the destruction that laid waste to this universe settled, a single star shone upon the universe. From this star, a hero arrives to follow along the paths of destiny.
"Oh?" Kirby questioned. Kirby landed on a piece of debris. He looked around. "Oh?" he questioned. Kirby walked on the piece of debris. His body squeaked with every step he took. He continued to look around. "Oh," he said. He tried to see if anyone could hear him. He wanted to know if there was anybody left. He walked around on his floating piece of debris. He then remembered something.
Kirby had been flung into the air as he was caught by the warp star. "You are our only hope! Live to fight! Fight to live!" he heard. Tabuu's beams were chasing Kirby. Kirby moved the warp star around and dodged the beam. "AHHHH!" he screamed as the Warp Star distorted the reality surrounding Kirby and disappeared moments before the beams consumed Kirby.
Kirby closed his eyes and tilted down. Then, Kirby began to sense a warmth. Kirby opened his eyes and looked up. Ahead of him laid a bright white light. A bright light that swirled like a vortex. Kirby's eyes blinked as the light reflected off his eyes. "Oh?" he questioned.
"hero…"
"Oh?" Kirby said as he looked around.
"hero…"
"Hero… Hero…"
"You must traverse beyond the confines of your home. Tabuu's forces must be stopped. Save the fighters. Destroy Tabuu. This is your mission. Go forth, hero."
"Hero… Hero…"
"Hero…"
"hero…"
"Oh?" Kirby said. Kirby looked at the bright vortex in front of him. "Hm!" Kirby said. Kirby ran forth and jumped straight into the vortex.
Kirby stands as the beacon of hope for the fighters of this universe. Although, their current fate lies in the enemy's grasp. In Tabuu's hands.
Mario, a fighter with a heart of fire, and an uncorrupted soul finds his trophy lying in the middle of darkness. Using a little amount of his power, Tabuu slowly corrupts the trophy. Using this power, he corrupts the fighters and makes the fighters into his puppets. With this, Tabuu has an army of heroes and villains. He sends his newfound minions to do his bidding and to accomplish his most terrible dream. The destruction of everything.
Kirby flew through the vortex. He spun around as he traversed the vortex. "AH!" he yelled. Kirby heard a loud noise. A cosmic noise of tears like ripping clothes. Then Kirby was spat out of the wormhole. Kirby tried to navigate his new surroundings but he found himself floating in a deepless void known as space.
Kirby heard another tear behind him and the noise of the Warp Star came through and the Warp Star launched itself from the tear of reality and reunited with Kirby. Kirby grabbed onto the Warp Star and navigated through this new space. The stars from beyond quickly became a blur as Kirby traversed through space.
Kirby traveled through this new galaxy. Kirby rode on the Warp Star, seeing if there was any place to set his destination. Yet, as time passed on, Kirby slowly saw his energy deplete. He was falling into a slumber. Kirby slept as the Warp Star traveled through space. What felt like seconds to Kirby, quickly became hours. Then, Kirby awoke.
Kirby blinked multiple times. He was slanted and quickly felt he was heating up. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. He noticed he was no longer riding the Warp Star. He looked around and saw the Warp Star above him, trying to catch up. "Oh," Kirby said. Kirby looked down and found himself descending quickly. "AH!" yelled Kirby. Kirby was spinning quickly. Kirby quickly moved forward to the Warp Star. Kirby and the Warp Star fell through the clouds.
"Oh," said Kirby.
Below, Kirby saw a canyon. The Warp Star caught up to Kirby and Kirby descended into the canyon slowly. Kirby hopped off the Warp Star and looked around. The burning sun heated the land. The entire canyon looked desolate. There was little green all around the canyon, and the sand was drier than usual. The canyon walls were red. The gust whistled and took the sand with it. "Oh?" Kirby said.
Standing at the sides of this canyon lies two bases. Two bases that were obviously man-made but they've been around for so long that they seamlessly blended into the environment. At one of the bases, on the west side, two soldiers stood. They both wore highly advanced armor, yet the colors they wore were maroon and orange. The maroon soldier was named Simmons, and the orange soldier was named Grif.
"Hey, Grif?" Simmons asked. "Yeah?" Grif said. "You ever wonder why we're here?" Simmons asked.
Grif responded with, "It's one of life's greatest mysteries. Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of... some cosmic coincidence or, is there really a God... watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don't know man, but it keeps me up at night."
They both stared at each other in silence until Simmons broke the silence.
"Grif? What are you talking about?" questioned Simmons, "I'm talking about why we're in this canyon." "Uh… yeah," Grif said. "What was all that stuff about God?" Simmons asked. "Uh…. nothing," Grif said. "Seriously, do you want to talk about it?" Simmons asked. "No… no," Grif said.
At the other base on the other side of the canyon, three blue soldiers stood by a tank. Each respectively wore light blue, teal, and blue armor. The soldier in light blue was Tucker, the teal soldier was Church, and the blue soldier was named Caboose.
"So then I was like there is no way to pick up chicks in a tank," Tucker said. "Tucker? What the fuck are you babbling about?" Church asked. "Don't you remember that one time when I went back in time and saw the Red Team's Sargeant when he was still a private?" asked Tucker. "Tucker, for the last time, you didn't time travel!" Church said. "This is great. Church is Church, and Tucker is Tucker, and Caboose is I who is Caboose," Caboose said. "Caboose, shut the hell up," Church said.
Kirby walked through the Blood Gulch. He had no idea what any of the bases were for, and he still had no clue on where his friends were. Then suddenly Kirby was kicked as one of the soldiers wearing pink armor tripped. This soldier was named Private Donut.
"Hey! What was that?" asked Donut. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. "Hey! Some weird alien ball. Huh? That's nice. Goodbye mister pink alien ball," said Donut. Donut ran towards the blue base. Kirby tilted his head, confused about the encounter with one of the soldiers.
Meanwhile, in the Blue Base…
"Okay, Caboose, go inside and protect the flag until the general gets here," ordered Church. "But Caboose thinks the general doesn't get here for another seven days," Caboose said. "Caboose! Go!" Church ordered. "Okay. Okay," Caboose said as he left. Church and Tucker turned the other way. "Hey, ever wonder what the Reds are planning," Tucker said. "Well yes, which is why we should pay attention and stop talking to each other!" Church said. "Well, no need to be rude about it," Tucker said.
Donut then walked behind them. "Hey! Sir! Can I ask you something?" he asked. "Goddammit Caboose! Go inside! Now!" Church exclaimed. "Caboose? But…" Donut said. "I swear if you're not inside by the count of three!" exclaimed Church. "Hey, what did I do?" Donut asked. "One!" yelled Church. "Oh come on. Give me a break," Donut said. "TWO!" Church yelled. "Okay. Okay. Sheesh," Donut said as he walked inside the blue base.
Meanwhile, in the Red Base…
Outside, standing by the base were Simmons, Grif, and two other soldiers. The one in red armor was the leader, Sarge, and the other soldier was a Spanish-speaking robot, Lopez.
"Okay, so you sent Donut to the store, to get some headlight fluid and elbow grease, even though there are only two places in this entire canyon?" asked Sarge. "Yes," Simmons and Grif said. –-Estos pendejos (These idiots)- Lopez said. "Grif, I'm blaming you!" Sarge said. "What? Why?" Grif asked. "Because you could've talked Simmons out of sending Donut out on the base," Sarge said. "Yup. I am the victim here," Simmons said. "Oh come on," Grif said. -Debemos seguir a Donut (We should follow Donut)- Lopez said. "I don't know what Lopez said, but I think we should follow Donut," Sarge said. "That's a genius plan, Sarge," Simmons said. "Kiss ass," Grif insulted. "To the Warthog!" Sarge commanded. "You mean the Puma," Simmons said. "Oh shut up!" said Grif.
Meanwhile with Kirby…
As Kirby traversed the canyons, he heard something on the canyon walls above him. Once finding the path that led him to walk on the edge of the canyon walls, he found himself seeing another figure. It wasn't like the soldier he had encountered earlier. This figure seemed familiar.
"Oh?" he questioned.
The figure was wisping with energy. Kirby had recognized this figure to be Mario, but something seemed odd about the plumber. Something strange was felt just by the air around him. Kirby walked towards the plumber.
"Oh?" he questioned once more.
Mario had heard him, and he turned around. He wasn't the plumber Kirby knew. His clothing was more dusty and dark. His eyes were a solid blue, with no pupil. His skin was solid blue, similar to Tabuu's. He wasn't Mario. He was a puppet created by Tabuu. Kirby quickly got into his fighting stance. The Mario Puppet flamed his hand and got ready to fight. He showed no expression, except the longing to fight.
Kirby charged forward, but the Mario Puppet dodged by jumping into the air. The puppet threw down fire that combusted the ground behind Kirby and launched Kirby forward. Kirby rolled down the hill until he managed to catch his fall. The Puppet immediately landed on the ground and ran towards Kirby. Kirby summoned his trusty mallet and once the Mario Puppet got closer he gave the imposter a good ol' whack and launched him back.
Kirby jumped up into the air, spun around, and smacked Puppet Mario into the ground. Mario jumped up, leaped forward, and blasted more fire that launched Kirby back into the outer open of Blood Gulch.
Kirby shook his head and saw that Puppet Mario was heading towards him until he heard a couple of gunshots from the East Side of the Gulch and those shots smacked Mario towards the Western part of the Gulch.
"Oh?" Kirby questioned.
"SHIT!" Church yelled.
Kirby looked to his side and saw Donut who was carrying the blue flag and crouching.
"Hey! Hey! Don't shoot! I bought the flag fair and square!" Donut yelled.
"Stop taunting us! You're getting on our nerves!" Tucker yelled. "Tucker! Don't tell him that!" Church yelled.
Another soldier was behind them. She wore black armor, meaning she was a mercenary for hire. Her name was Tex.
"You boys are ridiculous," Tex said. "Don't judge and charge!" Church yelled. "Do not worry Church. I got me a tank," Caboose said as he drove the tank. "Hello, and thank you for activating the M808V Main Battle Tank. You may call me Sheila," the tank said. "Hello. Sheila. Big Tank Lady," Caboose said. "Auto Target: Engaged," Sheila said.
The Red Team on the Warthog stopped beside Donut. "Donut! Get in!" Sarge ordered. "You got it, Sarge!" Donut yelled as he hopped on. "Drive! Drive!" Grif yelled. —¡Ya voy! (I'm going!)- Lopez said. The Warthog burnt rubber and took off. "Lopez! You're going in the wrong direction!" Simmon yelled.
"Boom boom goes the tank," Caboose said. "Firing," Sheila said.
Sheila began firing and Lopez narrowly dodged out of the way. "Go! Don't let those Reds get away!" Church yelled. "It all comes down to this. Red vs. Blue! The prophecy is coming true," Sarge said. Prophecy?! What prophecy?!" Grif yelled. "Shut up, Grif! That's what the prophecy told me to say, at this exact moment," Sarge said. "Charge!" Tucker yelled as he fired upon the Warthog.
Kirby stood up and saw Puppet Mario walk from the Red Base towards him. He held fire in both of his hands and again, the only expression on his face was his longing to fight. Puppet Mario threw his fireballs but Kirby ducked below as the fire flew by him. Puppet Mario charged forward, jumped up, and punched the ground moments once Kirby jumped away. Kirby charged and kicked Puppet Mario in the chin and launched him back. Kirby charged forward again. Mario blasted fire at Kirby but Kirby's round body became engulfed in flames as he sucked up the fire. Kirby was quickly engulfed in flames as he was transforming. On top of Kirby's head, a hat similar to Mario's appears and that's his transformation.
"Hm!" Kirby muttered as his hands lit up with fire.
Meanwhile with Red Vs. Blue…
"Okay, I'm going to use the Warthog as a battering ram on the Blue's tank!" yelled Sarge. "What?!" the Red Team exclaimed. "Today's a good day to die!" Sarge yelled. "Nope! Today's not a good day to die!" Grif yelled. "Move Lopez!" Sarge yelled as he kicked Lopez out of the Warthog. —Ay dios mio (Oh my god)- Lopez said. "Let's do this!" Sarge yelled. Sarge drove the Warthog and was driving it towards Sheila.
"Hey, is that the Red Team's jeep?" Tucker asked. "Move! Move! Move!" Church yelled. Church, Tucker, and Tex jumped out of the way. "Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap," Caboose said as he jumped out of Sheila.
"AH!" Sarge yelled, bravely/stupidly. "AHH!" The rest of the Red Team screamed in fear. "Everyone, jump out except Grif!" Sarge yelled. "What?!" Grif yelled. The entire Red Team jumped out of the Warthog as it crashed into Sheila.
"Collateral damage: Received. Bleh," Sheila said as she was knocked out. "How did that even work?" Tex questioned.
"Grif, I told you not to jump out!" Sarge yelled. "Did you really expect me to stay in the jeep?" Grif asked. "Yes," Sarge said. "Sarge, incoming Blues," Simmons said. "Team! Prepare for the plan. Donut, scream like a girl," Sarge said. "Can do," Donut said. "AHHH!" Donut screamed. "Grif, you'll be my human shield," Sarge said. "What?" Grif asked. "And Simmons and Lopez, shoot at 'em!" Sarge ordered. "Yes sir!" Simmons said. —Si Señor (Yes sir)- said Lopez.
"Okay team, here's the plan," Church said, until he was interrupted. "Nevermind that. Attack!" Tex exclaimed. "Yeah!" the Blue team yelled. "Oh come on!" Church cried.
The Red and Blue Teams began to shoot at each other. Either one side was better at dodging, or both sides were terrible at aiming. "This is it! The final battle! The battle for the century!" Sarge yelled. "Whatever old guy!" Church yelled. Sarge and Church charged at each other. They both were punching each other in the helmets.
"Humph!" Tex yelled. —Te enseñaré porque me llaman Lopez el pesado. (I'll show you why they call me Lopez the heavy — Lopez said. "Whatever Spanish robot," Tex said. Tex got up close and kicked Lopez in the groin. —¿Por qué me dolió eso? (Why did that hurt me?)- asked Lopez. Tex then punched Lopez in the face.
Simmons and Grif hid behind a rock as Tucker was shooting at the rock. "Come out Reds!" yelled Tucker. "Okay, on the count of three, we go," Simmons said. "Wait, is it on three or after three?" Grif asked. "Nobody goes after three," Simmons said. "Oh, okay," Grif said. "Okay, one," Simmons counted. Grif stood up. "Two," Simmons said. Grif began walking away as Simmons looked over the rock. "Three," Simmons said as he turned around, "Oh what the hell?!" "Ah ha!" Tucker yelled as poked out of the rock. "Take this!" Simmons yelled as he slapped Tucker in the face with his weapon. "Ahhhh!" Tucker yelled in slow-motion. "Why did he do that?" Simmon questioned. "For dramatic effect," Tucker said. Simmons then punched Tucker in the face again.
"So, you are a Red," Caboose said. "Yup. And you are a Blue," Donut said. "Want to be friends?" Caboose asked. "Sure," Donut said. "Traitor!" Sarge and Church yelled. "Okay, fine," said Caboose and Donut as they began beating each other up like an old cartoon with the cloud and sound effects.
Meanwhile with Kirby…
Kirby blasted fire at Puppet Mario. Puppet Mario caught the fire. "AH!" Kirby yelled as he charged in. Kirby jumped and boosted his jump with more fire. He spun in the air and kicked Puppet Mario in the top of his head. Puppet Mario grabbed Kirby midair, spun around, and threw Kirby towards a rock. Puppet Mario blasted more fire. Kirby jumped out, landed on his feet, and blocked the fire from reaching him. Grif just so happened to be running back to the Red Base.
"Huh? What is that?" he questioned. Kirby blasted more fire back and launched Puppet Mario back. "Whoa? Is that a plumber and a pink alien fighting?" asked Grif, "So cool." Kirby launched himself forward. He generated more fire to push himself further and faster. "AH!" Kirby yelled. "Whoa," Grif said in awe. Kirby punched Puppet Mario in the face and launched him at the rocks. "AHHHHHH!" Kirby screamed as he let out a final fire blast so powerful that it would make the sun jealous. The fire blast directly hit Puppet Mario.
Puppet Mario shined as he fell to the ground. Puppet Mario became a trophy. Kirby ran back up to the trophy, hoping to reawaken Mario, but as he approached, he stopped. The trophy became engulfed by a blue light that dissipated. It wasn't the real Mario.
"Oh?" Kirby questioned as he transformed to his original form. "Whoa. That was awesome little dude! You are a dude, right?" Grif asked. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. "Whatever. I got to show you to Sarge. Maybe I'll finally get respect," Grif said as he grabbed Kirby and ran back to the Red vs. Blue battlefield.
Finally, with Red vs. Blue…
"AH!" Sarge gave a yell. "AH!" Church gave another yell. Sarge and Church continuously kept punching each other. "You dirty Blues!" Sarge gave an insult. "You bloody Reds!" Church yelled.
Simmons was on top of a rock, shooting his rifle. He was missing his shots, but he still was keeping Tex at bay. "Hey! Why are you doing this? You aren't even Blue," Simmons stated. "The pay's good," Tex said. Tex launched herself to the top of the rock and punched Simmons. "OW!" Simmons yelped.
"Hee yah!" Caboose yelled as he flipped Sheila over. "Hey! No tanks!" Donut yelled. "Her name is Sheila!" Caboose yelled. "Well… Uh… We have the Puma," Donut said. Donut ran over to the Warthog. "Eeeegh!" Donut struggled to flip the Warthog over. "Hey, you need help?" Caboose said. "N-no, I g-got this," Donut said, struggling.
Grif then ran in. "Sarge! Sarge!" Grif yelled. "Not now Grif!" Sarge yelled as he was caught in a headlock. "But Sarge! I found something cool!" Grif yelled as he took Kirby out. "AH! Grif! What is that?!" Sarge exclaimed as he got out of his headlock. "It's… uh… What's your name, little pal?" Grif asked. "Kirby," Kirby said. "See," Grif said. "AH!" Sarge exclaimed.
"What is this, Reds? A distraction?" Church asked. "Distract your ass Blues!" Sarge yelled. "ERGH!" they exclaimed as they clashed heads. "This can't be good," Grif said.
They were about to start fighting again until Sarge's and Church's helmets began vibrating, meaning they were both getting a call.
"Whoops. Excuse me," they said.
The battle quickly came to a halt as Sarge and Church took their time to take their calls.
"Simmons? Simmons?" Grif asked with a whisper. "What do you want? You left me," Simmons said. "Look at this," Grif said as he carried Kirby up. "Okay. Cute," Simmons said. "Oh come on, don't tell me you're that angry," Grif said. "I am and now I'm going to stop talking to you," Simmons said. "Oh come on," Grif said. "..." Simmons said nothing. "Oh. Drama," said Donut. "Shut up!" Grif said. —Esta es mejor que mi telenovela (This is better than my soap opera)- Lopez said.
"So, why can't we kill them?" Tex asked. "Because Church is on a call," Caboose said. "Ugh! But I want to spray blood on the floor," Tex complained. "I detect you are etching to kill," Sheila said. "Come on guys. Let's just wait till we get orders from Church. Also, why did we make him the leader again?" Tucker asked.
"WHAT?!" Sarge and Tucker screamed. Sarge and Tucker ran back to their respective teams.
"Grif! Let that thing go!" Sarge commanded. "Ugh, fine," Grif said as he released Kirby. "Oh?" Kirby questioned.
"Okay team, I got big news," Church said. "Well spit it out!" Tex yelled.
"Fellas, we gotta make preparations because…" Sarge said. "What's with the suspense? Say it now," Simmons said.
"The Master Chief is coming to Blood Gulch!" Sarge and Church said.
"What?! Master Chief! The real Master Chief! Oh my god! I gotta comb! Take a shower!" Grif said excitedly.
"Oh yeah! Finally, I can show Master Chief my kick ass moves," Tucker said. "Okay, so there is going to be a ship sent here," Church said.
"And I'm going to board that ship and I'll bring Master Chief here," Sarge said.
"So I'm going to trust the rest of you to prepare our base to get it ready for Master Chief," Church said.
"Sarge, when is the ship arriving?" Simmons asked. "Oh, I wonder if it'll have cup holders," Donut said.
A ship slowly descended and landed in between the Red and Blue teams.
"Okay, so this ship only fits one," Sarge said.
"So I'm going to go enter, and I'll be back with Master Chief," Church said,
Sarge and Church walked towards the ship and smacked each other on the helmets. "Hey! Watch it!" they exclaimed. "What do you think you're doing?!" Sarge asked. "I'm going on my ship!" Church exclaimed. "Well this one's mine! Get out of here!" Sarge yelled. "No! This is mine!" Church yelled. They were moments away from battling each other again until… "Poyo!" Kirby exclaimed. "Huh?" they questioned. Kirby had hopped onto the ship and it closed once Kirby was in. The ship immediately took off.
"There goes one brave soldier," Sarge and Church said. They then looked at each other again. "You know, I'm betting I can make my base better! So better Master Chief will join Team Red!" Sarge exclaimed. "Oh yeah! Well ours' will be one hundred times better than yours'! And Master Chief will be Team Blue!" Church yelled. "Nuh uh!" Sarge exclaimed. "Yuh huh!" Church yelled.
"How long do you think this will go on for?" Grif asked. "Probably at some point in the next chapter," Simmons said. "AH HA! You talked to me," Grif said. "Shit!" Simmons exclaimed.
Kirby flew on the one man ship into the deep depths of space. Kirby looked around as he was coming up towards a big ship. This ship looks like it could fit an entire nation's army. "Oh?" questioned Kirby.
Little did Kirby know, it was on this ship he would find an ally. For the story is only beginning. The Spartan awakens.
