Charlie groans as she lays on the ground, feeling how soft it was. Charlie opened her eyes, seeing the blue sky above her. She looks down and notices the green grass she was on. She looked around, seeing the trees, and the sun, shocking her even more.
"I'm...on Earth?" She asked, confused.
Charlie heard about Earth from her parents. But how did she get here? She stood up and started to walk around. It was quite peaceful. Charlie walked until she spotted a town. While not as big as Pentagram City, it did look like a nice place. Charlie walked over to the town and saw a sign that had its name.
"Welcome to Superbia Town."
"Superbia?" Charlie asked, confused.
She kept walking until she entered the town. No one seemed to notice her, but Charlie was more surprised on how the town looked. No crimes, no fights, no misdeeds. She knew that Earth had its own laws to follow, but this was so strange to her. She kept walking until she spotted two teens talking.
"Come on, Eric! You promise!"
"I know! But I was waiting for this for a long time, Ashely."
"Fine! I'll get someone else to take me!"
Ashely walked away, making Eric sigh. He soon headed his own way, Charlie still watching.
"Well, Dad did say that humans are different," Charlie told herself.
"Excuse me."
She turned and saw the girl walking up to her.
"I don't think I seen you around. Are you new in town?" Ashely asked.
"Yes, I just came here," Charlie said, seeing the girl look over her.
"Why are you dressed like a bellhop?" Ashley asked.
"Well, I ran a hotel. I'm...um..on vacation?" Charlie said, not sure if she would believe she was a demon.
Plus, she having trouble remembering how she got here. The human girl seems to believe her.
"Cool. I'm Ashley, Ashely Carman." She said, holding out her head.
"Charlotte, but you can call me Charlie." She said, shaking her hand.
"Charlie? Huh, never met a girl using a guy's name." Ashley said before shrugging.
"So, what was your friend promising you about?" Charlie asked.
"Eric told me a few days ago he would take me to the short to buy the new plushies that just came out today. Of course, he chooses to spend time at the comic book store instead. Stupid Moron." Ashley groans.
"Plushies?" Charlie asked.
"Yeah. Want to come?" Ashley said, hoping she would.
Charlie was still unsure about what was going on, but she decided to give it a try.
"Sure, I don't have anything planned." She said, making Ashley smile.
"Great! Come on, you'd love the plushies!" Ashley said, grabbing and pulling Charlie down the street, surprising the she-demon.
Eric notices the two and was surprised that Ashley found someone to take with her. It was clear that the girl was new and had no idea what she was dragging herself into.
"And yet another person I need to save." He said, following them.
A bit later,
Charlie was surprised to see the many plushies that were made in the store. She found a few of them cute and even noticed that some of them looked like Razzle and Dazzle for some reason.
Ashley went on about the plushies, explaining who they were and where they came from. She found the new plushie and showed it to Charlie.
"They called this one Lucifer. He's a goat that tricks and does bad things to his friends. But he's so cute he gets away with it most of the time." Ashely explains.
'Huh, that sounds almost like my dad.' Charlie thought.
"And who's this?" Charlie asked, pointing to another plushie that had a halo above its head.
"This is his twin, Michael. He spends most of his time trying to stop his brother and fix the mistakes that his brother left behind. To many, he's a fan favorite because of that." Ashley told her.
Charlie blinks, finding that name familiar for some reason. Like she knew that name.
"So, which plush are you getting?" Ashley asked.
"Not sure if I can get anything. I'm kind of out of money." Charlie said, blushing.
Mostly because she was unsure if Earth would take hell's money. Ashley smiled and handed her the goat Lucifer plush as she grabbed the Michael goat plush.
"Oh, they're selling them for free. They had extras and wanted to sell them to people who couldn't buy them. I already have a Lucifer goat plush." Ashley said, smiling.
Charlie looked at the goat plush and smiled.
"Thanks." She said.
After that, Ashley showed her around the town. She explained a few things she knew about it and its History.
"So why is this place called Pride Town then?" Charlie asked.
"Huh?" Ashley asked confused.
"Superbia is Latin for Pride. I'm familiar with Latin because my dad taught me." Charlie told her.
"Wow, I didn't think there was anyone that knew Latin. Lots of people said it's a dead language." Ashley said.
Charlie smiles sheepishly, not sure how to explain it. However, Ashley shrugs and smiles.
"Pretty cool though! How much did your dad teach you?" She asked.
"A bit, actually," Charlie said before telling her the words she did know.
Ashley listened and tried a few words herself. Charlie helped her as they kept walking, not seeing Eric following them. He had to admit he was surprised to see the new girl speak Latin and even started using a few words himself.
They kept walking until they came to a nearby church. Suddenly, Charlie felt sick and almost fell to her knees.
"Charlie?" Ashely asked, surprised to see her look unwell.
'What was that? Why do I feel so sick?' Charlie thought, fighting to stay on her feet.
"Ashley."
The said girl looked up and saw the head priest walking up to them, noticing that Charlie was trying not to fall over.
"Who is this? And is she alright?" He asked.
"This is Charlie. She's new here. And I think so. She was fine a minute ago." Ashley said, checking on Charlie.
"I'm sorry, did you say her name was Charlie?" The Head Preist asked.
"Yeah. She said that her full name is Charlotte but she prefers if others call her Charlie." Ashley said, recalling the full story Charlie told her.
"I see." The Head Preist said before checking on Charlie.
"Are you alright, my child?" He asked, touching her arm.
Charlie felt something burning her arm but bit her lip to stop herself from crying out.
"I'll...be...al...right." She said, trying to ignore the pain she was feeling.
"I better get her home," Ashley said, making the Head Preist nod.
Ashley carried Charlie away from the church, unknowingly causing her to feel better the more they moved away. Ashly ends up carrying her to her house, setting Charlie down on her steps.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah. I never had that happened before." Charlie said, feeling the sickness fade away.
"It was strange, it was like the church thought you were a demon or something," Ashely said, not knowing she hit the nail on the head.
"Do you believe in them?" Charlie asked.
"Well, I never met one. I can't say for sure if I believe everything that is said about them." Ashley said.
"And let's hope we never do."
They both looked up and saw Eric walking over to them.
"Eric? What are you doing here?" Ashley asked.
"I saw you drag that girl away with you. I had a strong feeling that you were going to overload her mind with plushies." Eric said.
"Come on, Eric. I'm not that bad!" Ashley said.
Eric walked up and placed his hand on Charlie's forehead.
"Hmm, a bit warm but doesn't look sick." He said as he saw what happened at the church.
"Surprised your makeup is holding up." He added.
That causes Charlie to remember something. Hellborns were supposed to take up a human form when coming to earth, and she has been walking around in her true form!
"Y-Yeah, the band is water-resistant. The best in town. It won't come easily." Charlie said, nervously.
"Really? Wow." Ashley said.
Eric nodded, believing her.
"So, do you have anywhere to sleep tonight?" He asked.
"Um..." Charlie said, not sure how to explain herself.
"She told me earlier that she didn't have money. So, she can stay with me." Ashley said.
"Are you sure?" Eric asked.
"Come on, you know your parents are trying to get you to have a girlfriend. If take Charlie, they'll think that you finally got one!" Ashley told him.
"Um, actually. I'm Bisexual." Charlie said, surprising them.
"You're what?" Eric asked.
"Bisexual. I like both genders. And I'm already in a relationship with another girl." Charlie said, shocking them more.
"Wow!" Ashely said, surprised.
"Well, I guess that's good," Eric said, sighing.
"What do you mean?" Charlie asked.
"It's like Ashley said, my parents are trying to get me to have a girlfriend. They tried to hook me and Ashley up, but we're better off as friends." Eric said.
"Yeah. Eric's nice, but he's not my type." Ashley added.
Eric rolled his eyes, not bothered by that. Ashley then places her hand on Charlie's shoulder, smiling.
"Come on, you love my parents." She said, looking ready to bring her inside.
"Sure," Charlie said, getting up.
"Um, see you later?" She said to Eric.
"Sure." He said, holding out his hand.
Charlie shook it, wondering if she would get home at some point.
Okay, sorry to cut the first chapter off here, but I was getting to the point where I didn't want to continue anymore.
So, as you can tell from the story title, Charlie finds herself on Earth, with little memory of how she got there. While she heard stories about Earth, it was her first time there. She soon meets the two humans that would become her friends. Also, I couldn't think of a look for the two, so feel free to come up with your own ideas.
This is only the start of the story and Charlie's new friends are unaware of her true nature for now. As for villains, I don't got any right now. And I am thinking of add more people as the story goes, but I need more time.
