2 days ago lily couldn't talk in full sentences. now she can? Something weird was happening and he was gonna get to the bottom of it
he also decided to put a orange cloth around his left wrist to differentiate himself from any potential metal sonics
he headed outside and lily playing with cream and a human like girl he wasn't familiar with

"hey Lily who's your new friend?" Lincoln asked
"hello I'm Sage daughter of the greatest human mind in the world." Sage said
"dr. Eggman?" Lincoln asked

"well his cousin is here if you want to say hi." Lincoln said

they looked up and saw dr. Eggman in the eggmobile

"how was the time outside?" Dr. Eggman asked

"of course." Dr.eggman said before noticing Lincoln "aren't you the robot that destroyed my swifty bots."
"wow you remembered me and actually figured out I wasn't sonic bravo you are smart." Lincoln said
suddenly Lincoln jumped up and grabbed the doctors shirt collar
"but let me make one thing clear if you try and hurt Lily I will rip out your heart." Lincoln said
"wasn't planning on it." Dr.eggman said "threaten kids and steal their candy sure. But actually hurting them? Never! Villains need to have standards."
"good glad we're on the same page." Lincoln said jumping back down
"father." Sage said "I have just been told about "sleepovers" may Lily and cream come over for one?"
"that's up to their parents." Dr.eggman said while thinking (please say no.)
cream ran to her house and asked her mother and came back
"she said it was ok!" Cream said
Lincoln looked to the doctor then to Lily who was giving him puppy dog eyes before sighing (to the best of his ability)
"fine. But I'm coming too for supervision." Lincoln said

Lincoln, cream, and Lily showed up at the lab
"if this isn't the place I'm going to be very confused." Lincoln said before knocking
after a few seconds Sage answered the door
"hello friends and brother of friend." Sage said "welcome to my place of residence."
Sage let them in and they saw dr.eggman working on his computer
Lincoln did a "I got my eyes on you." Gesture to the doctor before carrying lily's stuff to sage's new room where the girls would be
"there you are." Lincoln said "I'll be down stairs if you need me."
"what about my father?" Sage asked
"what about your father?" Lincoln asked
"he's smarter than you." Sage said
Lincoln knew he couldn't argue with that
he went downstairs and the doctor working on a different robotic sonic
"what are you doing?" Lincoln asked
"well seeing how you act I decided to make improvements to the current metal sonic." Dr.eggman said
"I act like this because I used to be human!" Lincoln said before immediately covering where his mouth would be
"what?" Dr. Eggman asked confused

"sit down and I'll explain it to you." Lincoln said
the doctor sat down and then Lincoln explained it to him
when Lincoln was done eggman looked between a mix of horrified and angry
"she did that to a two year old child!?" The doctor said "and you her brother!?"
"yup." Lincoln said
"wait then how is lily able to talk in full sentences?" Dr.eggman asked
"I don't know how exactly but I do know it has something to do with the phantom ruby." Lincoln said "and I'm worried."
"I see." Dr.eggman said "well then I'm going to make some hot chocolate for them."
"alright." Lincoln said
after he was done making it Lincoln helped the doctor take it upstairs
while sage and Lily drank it with zero issues cream was confused by it
"that's some interesting coco. What's in it?" Cream asked
"want to know my secret ingredient?" Dr.eggman asked
"if he says love I'm out of here." Lincoln said
"is it nutmeg?" Cream asked
"close it's actually a spoonful of garlic powder." Dr.eggman said
(thank god I don't have a stomach) Lincoln thought to himself

at this point it was late and everyone (minus Lincoln who didn't need sleep and plus sage who wanted to try sleep) were getting ready for bed
suddenly they heard the sound of claws scratching against metal
the defence mechanism immediately kicked and robots began to attack the intruder but they were getting torn apart
"Sage what's going on down there!?" Dr.eggman asked
Sage accessed the security cameras
"it's sonic but something is different." Sage said
the phantom ruby let out an "eep"
"what did you do?" Lincoln asked
"I may have turned Lily into a werefox yesterday and she bit sonic..." the phantom ruby said
Lincoln face palmed
"okay I'll hold him off you fix his mind." Lincoln said before running down stairs
"HEY!" Lincoln yelled getting the werehog's attention "fight me!"
Sonic rushed in and grabbed lincoln, slamming him against the wall
lincoln responded with a headbutt
sonic tried to punch him but Lincoln blocked it with his retractable wings
"I forgot I had these." Lincoln said to himself
he then used the wings as a shield against sonic but he grabbed both ends and began pulling them away from each other
this left sonic wide open for a punch in the face from Lincoln sending him flying
the phantom ruby then used this opportunity to grab sonic's head and use it's power to give sonic full control over the form
sonic passed out for a moment before getting up
"what happened? Why am I in egghead's base?" Sonic asked
"you kinda sorta turned into a werehog so I gave you full control of the form." The phantom ruby said
"why are you here?" Sonic asked
"Lily and eggman's daughter Sage are friends." The phantom ruby said "and you're interrupting their sleepover."
"oh! Sorry I'll leave!" Sonic said before leaving
Lincoln simply sighed

"so lame-o I hear you've been giving these guys the silent treatment while I've been gone." Ronnie said
however bolt did not back down if anything being called "lame-o" pissed him off
"my name is bolt..." bolt muttered under his breath
"what was that lame-" Ronnie Anne began before bolt grabbed by the throat
"I said my. Name. Is. Bolt." Bolt said "now we can act like children and kill each other or we can talk like the intelligent creatures we are."
bolt dropped Ronnie Anne and she took a minute to catch her breath
Lincoln's friends were confused they had never seen Lincoln act like that before even if they were friends Lincoln knew better than to fight Ronnie Anne but this one just grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up
"now then the choice is yours." Bolt said
Ronnie Anne threw a punch
But something caught it
it was a blue robotic hedgehog with glowing red eyes
"metal cease this instant." Bolt said sternly
metal let go of Ronnie Anne's fist
"so terribly sorry about that he's rather protective considering i built him from the ground up." Bolt said "me and Evan built him in our free time."
"who's Evan?" Clyde asked
"a friend." Bolt said "now since metal interfered with that I'm giving one more chance to make your choice."
Ronnie Anne looked to Clyde who shook his head
"fine we'll talk." Ronnie said

they went to a park bench and sat down
"now then to make things easier I'm going to need your names." Bolt said

"what do you mean?" Clyde asked
"the small intelligent one, Lisa was it? Decided it would be a good idea to put Lincoln's conciseness into a robot what she did not know was there was already a mind in that robot body. Me." Bolt said
"wait you're a robot?!" Sid asked
"yes and no." Bolt said "this body is organic but my conciseness was an Ai."
"so Lisa is just building a machine to swap you back!" Clyde said
"not quite. You see I wasn't the only one swapped the youngest "lily" was also put in a robotic body and she acquired a powerful gem which not only made her organic but upgraded Lincoln's mechanical body and then they fell into a wormhole." Bolt explained
"then Lisa must be trying to find him!" Clyde said
"Lisa is banned from science." Bolt said
"do you at least know where he is?" Clyde asked
"I'm not sure if you'll like my answer." Bolt said "now then I must be going. Farewell."
bolt left the stunned group behind
yeah he did a good job at breaking the news to them

also bolt built a metal sonic just in case Lisa tried murdering him in his sleep
