William was going over to the foundling home. It had been a few days since Izzy had regained her memory. Everyone in Avonlea knew … they also knew that she was still in love with Felix King. He just had to know more about him. What made Izzy love him so much? He knew that whoever he asked, it would be rather odd to ask about Felix King. It would be obvious that he was asking because he liked Izzy. Why would he just ask out of curiosity? He considered asking the people in town, but he knew that by the end of the day the entire village would know that he had asked. He decided to ask Felicity Pike, Felix's sister. He knew that it would be awkward, but he felt as if she was less difficult to approach than some other people. He also knew that she was rather close to Izzy.

William took a deep breath, he waited a minute and then finally knocked. He could hear the children playing. All of a sudden he heard someone yell, "I'll be right there!" He waited patiently at the door. Everyone was obviously preoccupied by the children. All of a sudden Mrs. Pike flung open the door.

"Mrs. Pike?"

"Oh … Mr. Taylor. Is there anything I could do for you?" Felicity secretly knew. She guessed that he was going to ask about Felix. She knew that this was going to be rather awkward.

"Yes, in fact there is," he was beginning to get nervous, "I was wondering if you could tell me about …" he paused. He felt embarrassed to ask.

Felicity knew that her assumption was correct, "Felix," she said, finishing his sentence.

After William nodded Felicity opened the door wider, signaling for him to come inside. Once she went inside she asked Gus to play with the children outside. Gus knew that this was serious and didn't ask any question. Once the children were out of the house Felicity led William to the parlor where they both sat down.

They were silent for a minute until Felicity finally got up, "Mr. Taylor, if you'll excuse me, I am going to get a photograph book. To be honest I don't know where to start when it comes to talking to my brother. I believe that it will be beneficial for both of us to see pictures of him."

William waited patiently until Mrs. Pike finally came back. He looked at the large book in her hand. I didn't realize that they had so many pictures. Felicity, who saw the slight shock on his face said, "My uncle Jasper has a camera. They moved to England a little over a year ago, but luckily for us he was able to capture our childhood."

Felicity sat down close to him so that he could see the pictures. She opened it up to the first picture. She smiled, "Furthest to the left is my cousin Andrew, next to him is my cousin Sarah (she is in France for school), I am standing right next to Sarah, next to me is Cecily, and kneeling down below Cecily was are farm hand at the time (Peter Craig)," she sighed, "and kneeling in between Andrew and Sarah is Felix. He was nine when we took the picture."

Felicity showed William every picture. She reminisced over all the wonderful times that the King cousins had together. She even laughed at the things that seemed tragic at the time. She told William of Felix. By the time they got to the last page of the photo album he felt as if he knew Felix King personally. He had never met him, but he felt as if he watched him grow up. He listened as he heard Mrs. Pike gave stories to the pictures of Felix. He heard the stories change from those of a boy, to a young man, and to a man. A man who made many mistakes, but set them right. A man who was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but was perfect for Izzy…It hurt to think that, but it was true. He knew that Felix King and Izzy loved each other. Moreover, no matter how much it hurt, he at least knew that Felix was, and would be good to Izzy.

"Mrs. Pike, you have been so kind to me already, more patient than you should have been. I had to know who Mr. King was. I will confess that when I came here I had hoped that I would find out that he was no good for Izzy. If I am being completely honest, part of me still wishes that was what I found out. But that simply isn't true." Felicity smiled, but before she had the chance to speak William continued, "I am going to cut my visit short. I am going to return to New York. I would just like to thank you for taking the time to talk to me."

With that, he got, and began to walk out of the room. Felicity walked out with him. She watched as Mr. Taylor walked out the front door. He slowly turned around, "Please…tell Izzy goodbye for me." Felicity nodded, so he continued on his way. He was never heard from again.
