Now, to the point of this whole ordeal. Let us see where Ash and his friends are currently at.

The first person of interest besides the chosen one himself would be May.

"Are you certain that you want to dig up information about May? You could buy TMs with all the spare time you have." Porygon typed out in the side tab

"Yes, it will help to track down all current events and put it in the timeline, after all, this is Ash Ketchum we are talking about, I would rather prefer to know ahead of time if my mere existence caused something to go wrong in the timeline."

Porygon proceeds to show live footage of the Pacifidlog Contest

'Huh, it's happening right now, I guess it makes things more convenient.'

I opened up the timeline

'It is time to note down the events.'

I had sadly missed the first round, but that can be checked later .

I stared at the screen, waiting for the announcer to finish yapping and for the battle to commence.

'My god, this is more boring than English class.'

I waited until the first battle was announced

'Erica, not to be confused with Erika the gym leader, is up against The Jester, which is just Jessie in disguise.

This one of the better Team Rocket disguise, sure, a very low bar if you ask me, but an improvement is an improvement.

I do still wonder how everyone is so blind to not see through their disguise, it is so obvious!

Well, I guess it makes animating easier and also making the show funnier, the only problem is that this is a reality now.

I wonder, is this a Team Rocket exclusive thing or can anyone do it? If so, why has no one tried it, perhaps they did and the only reason there was no trace of it was because they were successful.

"Did that Meowth just transform into a Sunflora!..." I heard from my laptop

'Oh, I forgot I was watching this.'

It seems like Meowth has somehow magically transformed into a Sunflora, how is this possible?

It's not.

If only they used their brain cells to see that the Sunflora looked like it was made of plastic, or that it was physically impossible for any Pokemon besides Ditto, Mew and Smeargle via sketch to learn Transform.

Also, how come Nurse Joy does not see through the disguise! You are a Nurse Joy! You should know Meowth can't transform!

Now, back to the footage.

Oh wow, Meowth is now a Kirl-that is so fucking noticeable, how the hell has no one noticed yet!

Nevermind, plot armour and stuff.

Let me just add that part in the timeline.

'This is so painful to watch.'

I then proceed to watch Meowth making a fool of himself on live television

'I don't want to watch this anymore.'

I got up from my chair

"Porygon, can you write down what happens, I'll go grab a quick bite, I will be back in a few minutes."

"I am back! So What happened- "

I stared at my laptop screen

"It's been four minutes and Team Rocket has already blasted away? Well, what did I expect?"

I sat down on my chair

'It seems like the second round is beginning, finally, some decent action is about to begin.'

I was going to evaluate May's strategy for this battle.

'Not a bad opening, however, I don't think Double Slap is that appealing, but I never liked contests anyways, so I can't judge.'

I noted down what was currently happening to the timeline, there were some minor differences from the original episode, but as I stated before, this is now a reality, some stuff are too cartoony.

'Hmm, using Blizzard on Houndoom? Can't say it would be effective, but if you are using it to clash against a Flamethrower, I guess it would be understandable.'

Skitty would lose the clash against Houndoom.

'Expected. Skitty special attack stat, and all of Skitty stats are just plain horrible, it was obvious it was going to lose the clash.'

I continued watching

'With the power of plot armour, anyone can win! Sometimes I feel bad for the rivals or challengers, sure, Ash and co might be very skilled, but your chances of victory are abysmally low, only when the plot needs them to lose that you will win.'

And at last, the battle ended.

'Yup, as per canon, May won.'

Well, the next round will probably start in like fifteen minutes.

I opened up and played against a bot to pass the time.

'What the hell is the Bongcloud opening? Who names chess moves?'

'You know? Perhaps challenging a master ai was not a good idea.'

I closed the tab and returned to watch the contest.

'It is now Erica versus May, I sure do wonder who is going to win. Of course it's going to be May.

The contest battles, not to be rude, were just mid, too boring for my taste.

I gave up on watching and just copied and pasted the results from Bulbapedia.

'Welp, time to play some Solitaire.'

'Nope, nevermind, I don't understand a single bit, I am going to play Unite instead.'

"Have you considered checking on Paldea instead of stalking Ash?" I heard Porygon type on my laptop.

"Pardon?"

"Have you considered checking Paldea's current situation to figure out if the plot of Scarlet and Violet has Already happened or is in the process of happening? Have you also considered checking on the main protagonist of Galar, who knows, the events might have already started. It might also be best if you determine the current timeline of Galar, it would be quite useful if you determine if the timeline is Sword or Shield, perhaps even a mix of the two."

Huh, Porygon makes a…actually good point, I guess I got tunnel vision on Ash that I forgot that other world ending threats exist.

Let's start on Galar, as I am in Galar, that should be more of a priority to me.

'Time to hop back on the BattleNet it seems.'

"Require assistance in acquiring the more confidential information?"

I would rather not make an enemy of the current region I am living in, and also I can't think of anything important or useful to hack into.

"Let's save that for Paldea."

I searched for Team Yell first.

'Well, the first indicator is if Marnie is ready to take on the gym circuit yet.'

I continued searching, sadly, I did not end up with anything useful.

'Well, all I could find is the random stuff that Team Yell does and Pier, that literally it.'

So, after gathering my sources and evidence, I have concluded the answer to the question, which is "Am I screwed?."

The answer is, maybe.

I could either be completely unprepared and basically become an NPC, or I am like, five years before the plot begins, could be either one.

All that I know is that if the former is true, I am getting hell out of Galar, one plane ticket and I am gone.

Thus, I must continue to gather information to reach a conclusive answer.

I swapped to checking on Hop, perhaps he would be easier?

"Let me help, I can check on the protagonist, you check on Hop."

Well, that does make things faster.

'First things first, we check Leon's official page.'

After some snooping, I found multiple photos of when Hop was young on Leon's twitter page, or this world equivalent.

'I would say "Awww!" but then again, I never liked babies, I always wanted to punch them.'

I continued digging and found a tweet of interest.

'That is somewhat alarming.'

The tweets say that Hop has been training to get into the gym circuit

'Alright, it did not confirm if Leon was going to give Hop an endorsement yet, I should be fine…for now.'

"I come back with news."

Well, that was faster than I thought.

"Well, to start off, which is the protagonist?"

"It is Gloria."

"How about Victor?"

"...give me a moment."

Please don't tell me that I am in the adventure timeline.

"I have found people with the same name, however, they do not look the same."

Welp, that is a relief.

"Anything else to share?"

"Yes, from what I can tell, the plot has not started yet, but it might soon. I am finding some sources that reveal a certain sword dog, however, I cannot fully confirm."

That is quite alarming.

"My best prediction is that we have at best, 5 years, at worst, 1."

Hmm, considering my luck, I might have either one to three years to prepare, which is not much, but it's something.

To be honest, I just realised now that to someone on the outside I look like a deranged stalker.

I have a feeling that the court won't take "I am a faller from another dimension where Pokemon is just a game and merely just making sure that my existence does not screw up the entire timeline! I swear I am not a stalker!" as a valid reason to search through a person's entire social media and life.

Still, who cares? I mean, who in the world would try and hack into my laptop? Why would they? Blackmail me?

"I also went ahead and checked on the Crown Tundra, it just required a bit of bypassing, nothing illegal though, just a few third party extensions."

"So, what did you find?'

"Absolutely nothing of interest, not a single of sighting of Calyrex, Spectrier or Glastreir, nothing, it is safe to assume that the events of the Crown Tundra are not happening anytime soon."

'That's good, even though that won't affect me, that is still good to know.'

"And the Isles of Armour, well, it never was a threat in any way in the DLC, and all information regarding it is in public spaces."

'Nice to know.'

"Also, Sada is dead."

WHAT THE FUC-

"I have found her obituary, that means that Turo is alive. That means that the likelihood of the timeline being Violet is nigh certain, the only reason I said it is nigh certain and not 100% is because there could be a small margin of error, as with so many worlds, there is a possibility of a role swap or something similar."

Alright, who the hell talks about normal stuff and then casually states a dead person?

Still, I am very thankful to know this information, but still, who continues a conversation like that?

"Thanks for the information, but I have a question? Have there been sightings of Paradox Pokémon?"

"Yes."

"How many?"

"Yes."

"Future or past?"

"Yes."

Well, it seems like around ten years before the events of Violet begins.

I would be alarmed, but one, I am currently dealing with Galar and two, it only affects Paldea, so…it's their problem.

"Porygon, I have a future member in mind if we ever go to Paldea."

"?"

"Put Iron Bundle on my very small watch list."

"Why, if I may ask?"

"Uber."

"Understandable."

Out of many Paldean Pokémon, Iron Bundle was one of my favourites, only below Clodsire.

It is one of few Pokémon I will actively try to find, which is quite a high bar.

"Also, have you considered continuing your education here?"

Hmm?

"This world standard of education is far higher than our world, it is also cheap."

"That does sound enticing, although I already finished most of my education with only my higher education left unfinished, so I see no reason to go to school."

"You could go to Uva Academy to spy on the main protagonist."

"Too lazy."

"You don't have anything productive to do, why not consider broadening your views?"

"Unite."

"...fair."

After that, I just sat there in silence, I had completely run out of ways to continue this conversation.

"Want to cheat on Super Mario Sunshine?"

"Boot up the emulator."

"How did you die twice with invincibility?"

"This never happened."

"We have been playing for quite a while, I think it is best if you stop."

" What else do I even have to do today?"

"..."

'Don't blame me if your eyes burn, I'm going back into my Pokéball."

Sometimes it feels strange thinking to myself, like why am I thinking to myself? I know there is an answer for that, but I don't major in psychology so I can't answer that question of mine.

I have been playing for far too long, I should stop soon, but that is when I lose.

The people playing Unite here could be ranked from kids playing for the first time and tryhards that will use all forms of microtransaction to win.

Which can also be said for our world. Even in other worlds, tryhards always exist.

Luckily, I am always on the team with the tryhards.

I paused playing after I won and went on GoGalar to browse their wares.

'Let's see…TM64 for three pounds!? What a steal!'

I quickly ordered the TM.

"Wait, which region is this from?.'

I checked the location of the listing.

'Ah, it's Unova.'

Well, the shipment fee cost more than the product itself, costing ten dollars for normal shipments and thirty-three dollars for same day shipment. How do they actually manage to do same day shipment? My best guess was teleportation.

'TIme to continue my search for criminally cheap items that I can buy."

I added the tag "Lowest price."

"Ah yes, a TM for Destiny Bon-wait what? There is a TM for Destiny Bond? For only five dollars? That is going in my cart."

I quickly found another item of interest.

"Perish Song for only a dollar? People these days seemingly don't understand the importance of moves like these."

I kept going.

"Momento for-no wait, that is just garbage. But Defog for only ten? That is a good deal."

I decided that this was enough TMs for now.

'Hmm, a limited edition summer Totodile plush for four thousand dollars? If I remember, the currency in the Pokémon universe is based on Japanese Yen, so, using what I know, that would be around twenty five dollars or nineteen pounds.'

The plush was in not so great condition, but a plush is a plush, so I added it to my cart.

'Time to check out now.'

And then I clicked on the check out button.

'Annnnnd done.'

Time to get back to playing.

"GG, you did well." I typed in the chat

I had finally lost, I had met my match.

It was one of the best games I had on Unite, a full match, competent players, and actual planning. That's all I can say.

'Good my eyes feel dry, I should of bought eye drops along with the TMs'

Besides my eyes feeling like someone had thrown sand in my eye and added glue. I was also somewhat worried about my gym battle with Kabu, not because I believed I could not win, I definitely could, but the real worry was time.

I had spent around at least a week doing nothing productive, which leaves me with only a few more days before the end of this month.

I was running out of time, but not too much time, if you get what I mean.

I still had a month, which is enough time to prepare for the next gym, but not enough to fool around that much.

I should definitely plan on challenging the gym in the next three days.

I'll give two days to hope that I meet Chairmen Rose or miraculously get a Dynamax Band.

If neither option happens, I will heavily consider getting an additional Drifloon to learn Destiny Bond for good measure.

'For once, I pray for the gods of whatever religion, yes, including the belief of Pastafarianisem, for them to bless me with plot armour.'

For those people going say that these is no TM for perish song or destiny bond, yea, your right.

There is none.

But, logically speaking, there should be.
