Author's Note: Fives and Hardcase drag Echo and Rex on a hunt for dates while on leave on Coruscant. Rex doesn't seem to care for some... odd reason.

INT. OFFICE - DAY

Rex sits at his desk writing up paperwork. He looks out the window. He should be out doing something. It's not often that he gets to have leave while on Coruscant.

Fives and Hardcase barge in with Echo. Fives is literally dragging Echo by the arm.

FIVES
Rex!

REX
(rolls eyes)
What do you need?

HARDCASE
We need you to come with us!

FIVES
We're gonna go find some dates and have a night out on the town. Wanna join?

Rex stares at Echo who has finally freed himself from Fives' grasp.

REX
Why?

HARDCASE
Why?! Because you could use a lady.

Rex stands up to protest with both fist clenched on the desk. Fives copies his position at the opposite side of the desk.

FIVES
You're coming with whether you like it or not! ...Captain, sir.

REX
(folds arms)
Why do you want me to come?

ECHO
He claims you've been... edgy lately.

FIVES
You need loosening up!

REX
I do not!

HARDCASE
(laughing)
He so does.

FIVES
We'll find you the perfect girl, Rex!

Hardcase makes his way around the desk and grabs Rex by the arm.

HARDCASE
I got him! Let's go!

Fives grabs Echo again and they head out the door. Rex rolls his eyes even harder.

REX
I don't need any girls!

ECHO
Me neither, but Fives insisted I come!

FIVES
If you don't find girls of your own, at least the two of you could be dates.

REX
WHAT!

ECHO
Fives, we're brothers.

FIVES
I meant you'll be there for each other. If I've got a date, don't stick around.

Fives huffs confidently.

EXT. CORUSCANT STREETS - EVENING

Fives, Hardcase, Echo, and Rex stroll down the street in their civies. Fives nearly drools at every girl they pass. Rex and Echo cautiously look at each other.

REX
I don't like this idea.

ECHO
I'm only doing it to humor Fives. Who knows? Maybe something fun will happen.

REX
Seeing Fives embarrass himself in front of girls is entertaining enough.

Echo laughs.

HARDCASE
You never go out when we're on leave, Rex. All you do is sulk inside.

REX
I do not sulk! I happen to like it inside.

HARDCASE
*Boring*.

ECHO
He likes his reports better than women.

Hardcase and Echo roar with laughter.

REX
Not true. The right woman would be better than my reports.

ECHO
(raises an eyebrow)
You have one in mind?

Rex stares down at the floor.

REX
That's none of your business.

HARDCASE
Oooh. Rex has a secret girlfriend!

Before any more teasing or questions can be asked, Fives approaches the nearest lady with the worst looking sexy smolder you've ever seen. He sticks out his fingers as if they were guns.

FIVES
Hello there.

The lady's eyes widen as she slowly backs away, right into a wall. She then turns and runs the other way.

ECHO
Wait till we get to 79's, Fives. It's torture watching you flirt with real girls.

FIVES
I'm great with the ladies!

ECHO
You've only ever been out with the ladies at 79's, who are *paid* by the Republic to entertain the troops.

FIVES
(fuming)
You try and do better!

Echo smugly approaches two nice looking women. One is human and one is Twi Lek. He chooses the Twi Lek, to which Hardcase responds with an "oooh." Echo walks up to her with the cutest smile he can muster.

ECHO
Excuse me? I couldn't help but notice how stunning you are. Would you like to go out with me tonight?

Echo pulls out a perfect pink rose from his pocket and gives it to her. Fives' jaw drops. The Twi Lek blushes and nods.

TWI LEK
Meet me at the cafe down the street at 8.

The two girls walk off, giggling. Echo stands there staring after them, pleased with himself for actually landing a date, but also hiding his face from his brothers. He can feel his face turning a deeper shade of red. Hardcase puts at arm around Echo's shoulder.

HARDCASE
Well! We've got a ladies man here!

FIVES
How!? I'm supposed to be the ladies man! Not... Echo!

Rex stands in the background keeled over laughing. Fives notices.

FIVES
Rex! It's not funny.

REX
Don't worry, Fives. If Echo can do it, so can you!

Hardcase, Echo, and Rex are all laughing now. Fives does not look pleased.

FIVES
C'mon. We're going to 79's right now.

INT. 79'S - NIGHT

Fives walks in with his arms stretched out, as if welcoming every lady on the planet Coruscant into his welcoming, loving arms.

ECHO
Put your arms down. You look like a drunk.

Behind them, Hardcase quite literally pulls Rex through the door.

REX
I'm not interested!

FIVES
Shh! Those girls might hear you!

REX
(pointing at Fives)
He's not interested either!

Fives stuffs his hands over Rex's face, hoping he'll shut up. Rex peels Fives' hands away as Hardcase approaches them. He's linking arms with two beautiful ladies.

HARDCASE
Gentlemen, gentlemen, please stop. There are ladies present.

Echo hides a laugh behind his hand as Fives immediately swoops over to one of the women.

FIVES
Can I buy you a drink?

REX
The GAR's drinks are free, Fives.

FIVES
Let's go somewhere quieter.

Fives leads her over to the noisy bar. They sit down together.

HARDCASE
Well, since Echo has a date later, and you don't want one, she's all mine!

Hardcase throws his arms up in the air in victory, then smugly slides his arm around her shoulder. He heads to a table near the back of the room.

Echo and Rex stand awkwardly near the front door.

ECHO
I guess your my date for now.

Rex rolls his eyes. He looks beyond bothered as he walks towards a table. Echo follows him.

ECHO
What's wrong, vod?

Rex slumps down at an empty table, making sure to face away from Echo and his pestering questions.

REX
I don't want to be here, okay?

ECHO
Why not? Why do you like your paperwork better than a good time?

REX
I don't *like* my paperwork.

ECHO
Then what is it?

Rex sighs and turns to face Echo. He stares at him hesitantly for a while. Echo eagerly leans in closer.

REX
A cheap time isn't my idea of fun.

ECHO
Well, me neither. But I've never seen you out on a date.

Rex fidgets and looks down at his lap.

REX
I would go out, but... well... Echo, do you ever think about what things will be like when the war is over?

ECHO
...Yes. You're getting off track.

REX
No, I'm not. What does your dream life look like after the war? And be serious.

ECHO
Okay, well... I guess I would, I don't know, work a job in either teaching or mechanics. And... a family would be nice-

REX
-That's it. A family.

ECHO
(perplexed)
You want a family?

REX
Well, not right now.

ECHO
(chuckling)
I never thought you would want that.

REX
Why?

ECHO
You're so... You're the guy who could kill ten thousand Separatists in twenty minutes.

Rex gives him a look.

ECHO
You know what I mean. I didn't know you were looking for *the one*.

Rex looks back at his lap. Echo pats him on the shoulder.

ECHO
I applaud that. So... have you met her?

A loud crash is heard at the back of the room. Rex and Echo look up to see Hardcase standing next to an overthrown table. Hardcase yells at another clone. His date cowers in the corner.

HARDCASE
You slimy piece of scum! Don't talk to her like that!

Hardcase pushes the clone into another table. The table breaks in half. Rex and Echo stand up.

REX
I'm glad we don't pay for this.

From the bar, the sound of glass shards echo around the room. Rex and Echo look over to see Fives falling to the ground and his date holding a glass above his head.

ECHO
You get Hardcase, I'll get Fives. Meet you outside!

Echo runs up to Fives, leaving Rex to deal with Hardcase.

REX
Hardcase!

HARDCASE
Captain! You outrank this man! Put him in his place!

REX
Hardcase, drop it. Let's go.

HARDCASE
Go? But I was just getting started!

He points at both his date and the rude clone.

REX
Echo and Fives are waiting outside. Let's go.

Hardcase dramatically lowers his arms and looks at his feet.

HARDCASE
(whines)
Fine.

Hardcase follows Rex out the door.

EXT. OUTSIDE 79'S - CONTINUOUS

Rex and Hardcase approach Echo and Fives. Fives is still unconscious and is lying in Echo's lap. Echo tries jostling his head to revive him.

REX
If Kix were here, he'd cringe.

ECHO
Wake up! Wake up!

Echo pulls down Fives' eyes as he wakes up.

FIVES
(drowsy)
Huh?

ECHO
What happened?

Fives lets out a singular, confident yet drowsy chuckle.

FIVES
Ha. I told her what I thought of her.

ECHO
Which was?

FIVES
That holozine said ladies love being called... tomatoes.

Rex and Echo both look horrified. Hardcase looks confused.

REX
YOU WHAT!?

FIVES
(chuckling)
I think she liked it.

ECHO
He's delusional.

Echo props Fives over his shoulder and stands up.

HARDCASE
I don't get it.

ECHO
I'll tell you when you're older, Hardcase.

They all walk down the street as Hardcase stands in place looking offended. He runs to catch up with them.

HARDCASE
Is it a dirty joke?

REX
No, it's just rude.

HARDCASE
Then why-

FIVES
-Shut it, Hardcase. It's over between me and her.

ECHO
And he's desperate, too.

FIVES
Am not!

ECHO
I know of a great place to get girls.

Hardcase and Fives look at Echo, waiting.

ECHO
But it's my secret, so you can't tell anyone else where we're going.

FIVES
You have a secret place where you meet girls?

ECHO
Not girls. A girl.

HARDCASE
I knew he had a secret girlfriend!

FIVES
You think everyone has a secret girlfriend!

ECHO
Jealous, Fives?

Still slumped over Echo's shoulder, Fives crosses his arms.

REX
But I thought you had a date later tonight?

Echo playfully bumps into Rex's side and winks.

ECHO
(whispers)
You can have her. Maybe she's the one.

Rex's face slushes pink.

REX
(mumbling)
Believe me, she's not.

FIVES
Not into Twi Leks, Rex?

REX
You heard that?

FIVES
I thought you like ladies with head tails.

Rex's eyes grow wider than Tatooine's twin suns. Fives knows he's onto something.

REX
What is this secret place of yours, Echo?

Fives stares at Rex suspiciously, the determination to find out Rex's secrets growing.

ECHO
Follow me.

Echo carries Fives and leads Rex and Hardcase down the block.
