"Aileen?" Edie dodged around a Jeedangian lagging cots in to set up proper beds for the sick agents, and another frowning at a human suit. "I checked the holding cells and some of them are empty that I don't think are supposed to be empty. Do you think we need to search the building?"
Aileen shook her head. "Unless they just broke out in the last hour or so, they'll be long gone. See if you can find a roister of who's supposed to be in the holding cells so we can figure out who we're missing."
"Ask a worm to help you." X said as he paused in explaining to the Jeedangian peacekeepers the pain in the ears aspects of human disguises. "They've actually turned out to be really helpful during this. Zed might have to give up some of his good coffee if he manages to live through this mess."
"They probably do know a lot about the building." Aileen said with a shake of her head before continuing to question her partner. "How do the cells that aren't empty look? I would really like it if they don't look like they're about to become empty." They did not need more prisoners escaping to add to the chaos.
"The cells look fine to me, not that I'm an expert." Edie said. "It looks like the food supply is automatic so the prisoners that are still there have been getting fed, anyway so there's that we don't have to worry about. I heard plenty of complaints and Jeebs does not seem happy but I didn't see anything that makes me think another jail break might happen any time soon."
"Jeebs should be glad to be locked up." X grumbled. "The holding cells are the last place his brother would think to look for him." And did he see his mother chatting with Elle's mom? Why did he think he might need to pay a visit to the holding cells for safety soon? "I think I've covered everything I know on how to pretend to be a human. Any ideas of where in the world we need to start sending people?"
"Maybe." Aileen said. She wasn't even going to think of what it said that X's explanation of how to be human seemed to have taken approximately five minutes. They were definitely going to have to do a whole lot of neutralizing anyway. "We definitely need to get Drekk into custody first before we end up with a repeat of the Great Chicago Fire. We do not have thecresources to cover up something like that at the moment, and I don't want to risk human fire fighters ending up in the middle of a Drekk caused blaze."
"We need to get him into an open area." Zeredon said as he joined them. Of course, given the city, open areas were more than a bit limited. "Would the icers actually hold him if we can get him somewhere open? It's been awhile since I've had to deal with his species."
"They should, especially if we can hit him with multiple icers at once." Aileen said after a moment's thought to recall what Kay had told her about Drekk. Okay. They needed an open area and. "Drekk knocked over the bank here, and people have reported seeing him here in this area." Aileen touched marked areas on a map that X had been working on. "It looks like he's trying to move into Manhattan."
"Which definitely isn't good." X said. "I don't want to think how many banks he could manage to knock over there. Or Wall Street could end up all over the street." Really, why couldn't Drekk just rob places without literally knocking them over? Not that robbing places was good, but at least if he didn't literally knock them over during the robbery it would cut down on the property damage.
"Central Park." Aileen said after studying the map again. "If we can shut down the trail around the reservoir and get him there, it's open enough that we can limit the potential for human casualties and fires."
"There's a fountain in there." X offered. "Elle made me go to see it once. I'm pretty sure it floats. It might be something we could use against Drekk."
Aileen nodded. "That could definitely help. Okay, we need to put people here, the last place where Drekk was reported. And we need more people at the reservoir to get that trail closed down." If they could, it would be better if they could do this during the night to try to limit exposure, but she didn't think they could risk the wait. The longer Drekk was out there the bigger the risk that there would be a major fire that they didn't have the capacity to deal with. "We find Drekk, we herd him into the park and to the reservoir, surround him and take him down. Multiple icers on him at maximum power."
"That sounds like it should work." Zeredon said and X nodded too. I'll take the reservoir."
"And I'll handle the teams trying to find Drekk." Aileen said. "X, come with me. Edie, stay here and go keep going over those records. We need to know who got out of the cells and who we need to bring in after we get Drekk back in custody." Did they need to leave people here to manage security for the ill agents too?
Before she could ask someone about that, Zara called. "Don't worry about leaving anyone here for us. We've got security here covered. We have loads of sharp and pointy things, I don't know how many times we've had to take down patients that have been out of control, and well over half of the people I called in have more than a little experience with being under fire. We've got this under control. Take as many people as you need to get Drekk. We've got this."
Aileen nodded. "Let's move, people!" She called. "We are not letting this city burn down while the MIB's out sick!"
