As the team traversed through the deep null and void of space, they found themselves in a universe that was mostly empty. There lay no world in sight. Even the stars seem to be faded from the surroundings. Marth walked around the little space they had in the cabin of The Odyssey while Mario sat and Kirby and the Piranha Plant were asleep.
"Where are we? Are we close to home?" he asked. "I'm not sure. These portals just kinda take us anywhere. We don't get to choose where we go. How did you think we found you?" Mario asked. "Well I had hoped we would have a proper plan on navigating these uncharted terrains," Marth said. "Yeah, well sometimes we have to work with what we have," Mario said. "Which right now is very little by all accounts," Marth said. "Hey, we still have hope," Mario said. "Yes, because drifting through endless space in an unknown universe brings much hope," Marth said.

Marth chose to take a seat right across from Mario and he deeply sighed. "You're worried about your friends," Mario said. "Very intuitive," Marth said. "Yeah, I think we're all feeling it. I'm worried about my friends and my brother. I suppose it has been a while since we've been this far apart," Mario said. "Hm," Marth groaned with a nod, "Roy, Ike. They were truly noble swordsmen, and it was honorable to fight side to side, back to back with them." "Was?" Mario questioned. "What are the chances we'll find them?" Marth asked, "We're traveling across big universes unknown of the path that lies ahead." "Hey, don't give up hope just yet. We'll find them. We just have to," Mario said. "You seem to be very confident," Marth said. "I don't think it's confidence. Not even optimism. It's more like if we just believe in the goal at hand, we'll accomplish it. We've faced tougher times before," Mario said. Marth nodded.

Marth looked up towards the window, and saw something blue fly past them. He quickly rubbed his eyes and saw the object disappear. "Hm?" Marth groaned, questioning. Marth still looked at the window and found another object, this time it being yellow fly past them. "Do you see that?" Marth asked. "See what?" Mario asked as he stood up. Mario looked at the window and found the yellow object floating alongside them. "What the heck is that?" Mario asked.

Mario opened the door to exit the cabin. He walked onto the balcony of The Odyssey and found a yellow cube floating in space. This cube was made out of four smaller cubes. "What the?" Mario questioned. Mario looked up and found a light blue object floating above The Odyssey. It was long and made up of smaller light blue cubes.

Marth joined Mario outside and found other cubic objects flying around them. They came in yellow, light blue, purple, blue, green, and red. They simply floated around The Odyssey. "What are those things?" Marth asked. "You're asking me?" Mario questioned. Mario jumped up the roof of The Odyssey. He looked ahead of the direction they were heading and found many more objects heading towards them. "Oh mamma mia," Mario said. Mario jumped back and ran back inside. Marth followed. "It's best we hang on," Mario said.
The Odyssey flew straight into the blocks. Some of the blocks crashed into The Odyssey, causing the entire thing to shake around. Kirby and the Piranha Plant woke up and shook their heads. The Piranha Plant hissed as it was angry that it was woken up and it immediately lunged and its mouth completely covered Mario's head.

Mario muffled, "AHHH! Get it off me!" Kirby rolled around the cabin. "Hold still!" Marth exclaimed as he used the hilt of his sword to hit the Piranha Plant. Chaos ensued in the cabin as The Odyssey began making a descent. The Odyssey crash landed onto a piece of one of the blocks and it slid across it. Suddenly everyone in the cabin began rolling around. The Odyssey slipped off the block and landed on another. The block managed to become balanced on itself and The Odyssey stopped in the middle of it. Everyone was thrown out of The Odyssey and Mario managed to pull the Piranha Plant off his head.

"Hey! What was that for?!" Mario yelled. The Piranha Plant snickered. "Yeah yeah. Laugh it up," Mario said. Marth looked around and found that the direction where the blocks were coming from seemed to have a large amount of these strange blocks. "They are coming from that bright light," Marth said. "Do you think there's something there?" Mario asked. "Perhaps. Shall we investigate?" Marth asked. "Sounds like a plan," Mario said. Mario turned and faced Kirby and the Piranha Plant. "You guys mind watching over The Odyssey?" Mario asked. They nodded. Mario had Marth hop on top of him and Mario jumped on the floating blocks towards the bright light to uncover the secrets behind these strange blocks.

They arrived at the edge of the bright light. Mario crouched down to look at it closer. "I can't see where it leads," Mario said. "I suppose we jump in then," Mario said. Mario nodded and they jumped into the bright light of the source of the blocks.

They landed on a transparent floor. Their steps echoed across invisible walls. "Hello?" Mario asked. Hello. Hello. Hello. "Huh? An echo," Mario said. Marth walked around and crashed into an invisible wall. "Is this some sort of prison?" Marth questioned. "It would be a weird prison," Mario said. Mario and Marth looked up as the blocks that were floating in space appeared above them. "Look at that," Mario said. "Ready?" a digitized voice asked. "Ready for what?" Marth asked. "3… 2… 1," the digitized voice said.
Strange electronic music began playing as the blocks were beginning to fall. The blocks landed around Mario and Marth. "Watch out!" Marth yelled as he lunged forward and avoided one of the blocks. "What the heck is going on?!" Mario yelled as he jumped on one of the blocks. The blocks kept falling down. Mario and Marth jumped on top of them, narrowly avoiding them. The music kept playing and the blocks kept falling. Eventually the blocks created a complete and they suddenly disappeared and the blocks above them disappeared.
"We need to get out of here," Mario said. "If we are able to get to the top, then perhaps we can escape," Marth said. "Is there even a top?" Mario asked. "Only one way to find out," Marth said. Marth lunged forward and grabbed the edge of a block and began climbing. "Oh mamma mia," Mario said. Mario jumped up above Marth and grabbed his hand to pull him up. Marth nodded, "Together it needs to be." The blocks kept falling and the music began playing loudly and faster. Mario and Marth were in beat with the music as they climbed.
As blocks kept disappearing and appearing, Mario and Marth could taste their escape. "Come on! Let's-a-go!" Mario yelled. "No doubt! No giving up!" Marth yelled. With one more lunge and yell they grabbed seemingly a transparent edge and suddenly the blocks and the music stopped. Mario panted, "Did it work?"
"Protocol: Negative. World build: Positive. Tetrisize = Commence" the digital voice said.
"Tetrisize?" Mario and Marth questioned. A blinding white light grew from the bottom and consumed everything quickly. Kirby and the Piranha Plant were sleeping in The Odyssey. Then they heard a sudden bang and quickly woke up. Kirby ran to the window and witnessed that the blocks floating in the endless void stopped. Suddenly they felt The Odyssey shake and Kirby saw every block returning to the blinding white light. Suddenly everything was consumed by a white light.

Mario and Marth opened their eyes and witnessed the sun. "What the?" Mario asked. Mario looked around and realized they were now hanging off a mountain. "Oh mamma mia!" Mario yelled. "Go! Go!" Marth yelled as they climbed back up quickly and found solid ground and they took deep breaths.

` "Marth, you alright?" Mario asked. "Yes. I believe so. What happened?" Marth asked. They stood up and looked around and found the environment was now made out of blocks. The grass was green blocks. The stone on the mountain was a plastic gray. "So what exactly did we do?" Mario asked. "What you did?! Oh what you did messed things up for me!"
Mario and Marth turned around as a block appeared behind them, floating. The block looked like it had wires attached like it was some robot. Suddenly a blocky head appeared along with blocky arms with block fingers on their hands. The head appeared like a TV screen with a cartoonish face.
"I'm sorry. Who are you?" Mario asked. "Who am I?! Well I could ask you that question," the blocky person said. The block person landed on the ground and suddenly from nowhere appeared a suit that it had on. "But allow me to answer your question! I am the ruler of this land! The God of Tetriminos! Tetro!" he yelled. "Tetro! Tetro! Tetro!" his voice echoed.

Mario and Marth simply looked at each other. "You look more like a robot-" Mario said. "DON'T YOU EVER CALL ME THAT!" Tetro said in a devilish voice. Marth took out his sword. "What is it you want?" Marth asked. "What I want?! I had that until you two messed up my perfect world! Now! Now! I want revenge!" Tetro yelled.

Tetro twinkled his fingers around and suddenly two blocks came and squash Mario and Marth by their sides, capturing them. "Hey! What the?!" Mario yelled. "Hehehehe! You see, unlike most predators, I like playing with my food. I believe a big ritual sacrifice will suffice for my revenge," Tetro said. "We will get out, and you shall face the consequences!" Marth yelled. "Me? Consequences? That's adorable," Tetro said.

Kirby walked outside of The Odyssey. His steps tapped on the plastic green block that made the new floor. The Piranha Plant hopped out of The Odyssey and hissed. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. Kirby looked around. Kirby made movements to the Piranha Plant telling him to follow and the Piranha Plant groaned as it hesitantly followed Kirby.

As they walked across this bright plastic land, Kirby couldn't help but wonder where Mario and Marth had arrived, while the Piranha Plant couldn't put much care into this and just wished to go home. As they walked forward they heard noises as if something or someone was digging. Kirby immediately kicked the Piranha Plant away and jumped as the spot they were in was dug away. From the hole Steve jumped out. He had blue eyes but he still looked like himself.

The Piranha Plant spat out a spike ball from his mouth and Steve turned around quickly and smacked the spike ball back with his pickaxe making the Piranha Plant duck into its flower pot. Kirby got up close and spun a kick and launched Steve a bit back. Steve got out his sword and stabbed his sword into the ground and caught himself. Steve used the sword to lunge himself forward and he ran on the ground and kneed Kirby towards the Piranha Plant. Kirby landed on his feet. The Piranha Plant dropped on its pot and extended outward and bit Steve on the hand. The Piranha Plant moved around and smacked Steve multiple times until Steve kicked it in its head. Steve then took out his bow and shot out multiple arrows. Kirby got in front of the Piranha Plant and opened his mouth and ate the arrows. Kirby transformed and became a block version of himself.

Steve only continued to run forward now with his sword. Kirby summoned a sword of his own and clashed with Steve. Kirby resorted to kick Steve upwards. The Piranha Plant appeared above Steve and kicked him down with its pot. The Piranha Plant then spun its pot and kicked Steve in the head. "AHHH!" Kirby yelled and he lunged himself at Steve and impaled him with his sword. Kirby jumped backwards and landed by the Piranha Plant as Steve turned into a trophy and Tabuu's energy left Steve.

Kirby ran towards Steve and reawakened him. Steve sat up and said, "Hi, I'm Steve," with a wave. The Piranha Plant took a whiff and snarled at Steve. "Huh? What's wrong with the plant guy?" Steve asked. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. The ground began to rumble and the three of them turned around and saw vehicles heading towards them. "What are those?" Steve asked. The vehicles quickly surrounded them. They were also made out of plastic blocks. In the vehicles were these block like people, similar to Steve but with a single plastic-like color.

"Hello, I'm Steve," Steve said. Suddenly they grabbed blocky spears and held them at the group and everyone held their arms up high in surrender. "Well, this isn't good," Steve said.
