Chapter 3: A memorable event
It was a strange feeling for Kim. As far as she could remember, she had never been in love with a woman, with Josh Mankey, with Eric, who then turned out to be an android, or with Ron, but never with a woman. And it was also the woman who was her arch enemy, Shego. A whole new world of emotions seemed to open up for Kim Possible. It is said and her father wasn't tired enough to say this saying that nothing is impossible for a Possible.
But Kim doubted whether Shego would even be able to reciprocate them if she ever found out about her feelings for her. Their enmity had lasted so long that Shego probably wouldn't even consider something like that. After school she and Ron went to Bueno Nacho again. Ron was talking about the new burrito that was going to be available at Bueno Nacho starting next year. Kim wasn't listening and was clearly so lost in thought that Ron noticed. "Kim, what's wrong with you? You haven't been yourself lately," Ron began.
"What? What do you mean?" Kim snapped out of her thoughts. "Well, after Drakken and Shego escaped, you seemed so depressed and kind of out of it," said Ron. His genuine concern was obvious.
"Well, I always find it terrible not to do my job properly. What evil things the two villains do and if someone gets hurt in the process...".
"Kim I'm telling you what if Drakken and Shego come back on the scene we'll hear about it and get them," Ron said confidently. "Thanks Ron for at least always being so positive," Kim said. "Always happy with KP," said Ron and continued eating his nacho.
"Tell me, what do you do when you realize you're in love with someone but you don't know if they love you back?"
"Well I would say just talk to him about it and find out."
"Well," Kim said, clearing her throat. "And if he's a she?"
Ron whistled. "Okay, so this is a new page for me KP. But I think the same applies to this one."
He turned back to his nacho and Kim thought about Shego again.
By now it was evening and Kim was alone in her room, sitting on her bed.
It was raining outside.
Kim thought about her newfound feelings for Shego and felt despondent.
She will never be able to love me the way I could. She'd rather hate me to death than ever love me, Kim thought to herself. These thoughts made her cry.
Then suddenly her Kimmunicator rang.
She quickly dried her tears and activated the device.
In front of her was Wade. "Kim Drakken and Shego have broken into a warehouse. It's time to catch them."
All she could do was smile. "We'll be there soon Wade. This time they won't escape us".
"It's good that you're so happy. I've already organized a ride for you."
It was easy for Kim and Ron to get into the warehouse in question unnoticed.
They climbed up one of the very tall boxes to get a good view of the rest of the house with the help of Kim's "hairdryer".
She could already hear Dr. Drakken's voice: "Come on Shego here it has to be somewhere".
"I'm already looking for Dr. D. Please be patient."
Then Kim decided to venture out of cover: "Surprise! Well, what do we have there?"
"Aha Kim Possible and her little helper! Shego finish them off!" "With the greatest pleasure," said the black-haired woman and jumped up to Kim.
Kim got into a fighting stance while Shego fired her green plasma at Kim.
She dodged their fire and jumped to the nearest crate.
Shego jumped after her and now attacked with her plasma fists. Kim dodged again and this time she attacked.
Shego, however, blocked the attacks with ease.
"What's wrong with you Princess? You're slowly getting weaker," Shego said.
Kim had to admit that in the semi-darkness of the warehouse, her slim yet muscular figure, her fair skin illuminated by the light green plasma that glowed from her hands, along with her long black hair, looked really beautiful.
Shego took advantage of Kim's inattention and kicked her to the ground.
"Kimmie, why are you staring like that? Distraction in battle very bad, Kimmie very bad," Shego said, kneeling over her with a victorious smile as she clutched her hands in hers.
"You like what you see don't you Kimmie?"
And then it happened. Shego kissed her on the lips.
Kim was completely surprised by this action, but she clearly enjoyed this unexpected attention from Shego and returned the kiss even more passionately.
"Ah, I thought so," she said and put on her victorious smile again.
"Shego come. I have everything we need. Time to go," Dr Drakken's voice sounded.
"I'm sorry sweetie, but I have work waiting for me," Shego said and winked at her. Before her let go of Kim and quickly rushed to Drakken.
Kim stood up.
Shego and Drakken were gone once again and she had to free Ron from a large package he was locked in.
They had lost again and yet Kim often thought about what Shego's kiss meant, was it the confirmation she had longed for. In any case, it was the most beautiful experience she had had in a long time and it was more than just a dream, it was reality.
As they were on their way home, Ron said, "Something's strange Kim, we lost again and yet I see that you're happier than the last few weeks. What happened KP?"
"Well at least I'm glad we had some action again," Kim said, not sure if that was even a lie. Kim wasn't planning on telling him about her feelings for Shego, at least not yet.
They were silent the rest of the way.
