Chapter 6: Robin
(Later in Gotham City, night…)
Later that night we came to an abandoned building where multiple women were being held captive.
This was to be versions when Batman branded that kidnapper from BvS but in this timeline the man was being beaten half to death…
…by Robin.
He wore the same type of armor as The Dark Knight but in red and green and a mask over his eyes like Catwoman.
After leaving the force John Blake dawned a mantle of his own to finish what Batman started and protect Gotham.
Out of rage and disgust Robin pounded the kidnapper to the ground with his baton.
"There are innocent women down there. And a low life like you deserves a high penalty." Robin said.
"Please… I'll let them go. I swear…" The man said.
"You're gonna do a lot more than that." Robin said.
Robin grabs him by the throat and slams him on the wall.
"Tell me what you know about the Joker." Robin said.
"Nothing honest! I never went back after he mussed in. I don't want anything to do with that clown." The man said.
"What scares you more? Me or him?!" Robin said.
Robin punches him down and stomps his boot.
"I swear I don't know!" The man said angrily.
"Then tell me what you do know we'll start here." Robin said.
"I heard he was planning to see the kids in Chamberlain, Maine." The man said.
"What kids?" Robin asked.
"I don't know their names! A lot of talk goes around that they are students at Ewen High School. Making a deal on something big I swear that's all I know!" The man said.
Robin had a feeling who he was talking about and that's when chained him to the wall where the two police officers from the movie come in to find the trapped women in the cage and later the pero chained up and beaten.
Robin however was already outside and he looked through the window at the cops tending to him…
And leaped away.
(Later at GCPD…)
On GCPD we join Senior Commissioner Gordon for the first time since Rises.
He stood by looking at the rebuilt Bat-Signal but had not been lit up since Harvey Dent's death, not even for Robin.
But then Robin appeared behind him which started Gordon.
"You remind me of him." Gordon said.
"Of Batman?" Robin asked.
Gordon nodded then went straight to the matter.
"So…what did you pick up?" Gordon asked.
"The goon you tipped me off was just a low life. He knew nothing." Robin said.
"Damn. We're seriously under staff at the GCPD." Gordon said.
"Then perhaps you should have called us Jim." A voice came.
Robin and Gordon looked to see where that voice came from…
"After all, we're to help." The sheriff said.
It was the sheriff's man and the officer's girl.
"After all, we're here to help." The sheriff said.
"Doyle?" Gordon asked.
"Someone you know, Commissioner?" Robin asked.
"This is Sheriff Otis Doyle. Chamberlain Police Department from Commissioner Stewart Murphy in Chamberlain, Maine." Gordon said.
"Why are the feds here?" Robin asked.
"They're here on behalf of Bruce Wayne." Doyle said.
Both Robin and Gordon were stumped in confusion which, last they saw Bruce Wayne and Batman, he died saving the city…or they thought he did after flying off the bay with the reactor.
"Wayne? But that's impossible that he died during Bane's invasion here." Gordon said.
"Bane?" The officer girl asked.
"Actually he was under the CPD. Bane had a hit on him so we moved him till it was safe for him to return. Now it is." Doyle said.
"Doubt it. A criminal we put away years ago is loose again he nearly tore Gotham apart last time." Gordon said.
"Guess it's a good thing we're here now." Doyle said.
"Look thanks for the offer of help but we'll handle Joker." Gordon said.
"The Joker?" The officer girl asked.
"Joker's not your only problem Jim. A bigger threat is growling not only in Gotham but all over the world. And your…young friend here could use more help than you can give him." Doyle said.
"I only work with Gordon Doyle." Robin said.
"That's a damn shame. Gotham is your city and I respect that but I promise you there will come hurricanes you won't protect it from alone. Officer Alyssa Barrett will take any you have." Doyle said.
Doyle walks away as Alyssa walks up with her eyespad.
"What a nerve." Robin said.
"That's not the worst of it. Don't tell these people anything. We'll catch Joker ourselves." Gordon said.
Robin nods.
"Whoa…I thought she was gonna bite your heads off theme." Alyssa said.
"I like to see him try." Gordon said.
Gordon walks off leaving Robin with Officer Barrett.
"So intel confirms you've been chasing Joker leads for half a year now. Any leads?" Alyssa asked.
Robin nods no with his arm crossed.
"I'll…take your word for it." Alyssa said.
Alyssa typed on her eyespad but as soon as she looked up Robin pulled off the disappearing act Batman did before…
Alyssa…was impressed…
