F3: Welcome to chapter 3 of my Neptunia story. We last left as IF and Uni defeated a rather large monster and are returning to Lastation with many questions in both their minds. Neptunia is property of Idea Factory and Compile Heart. With that Let's Dive In.
Chapter 3: New Powers.
In Lastation Noire had just returned from her meeting with Blanc and immediately got to work finding out where this dimensions Rei Ryghts was hiding but much to her luck their was so far no signs of Rei Ryghts in Lastation at least not yet. To further her search range to had her orcale create pictures of the woman and had them being handed out to every person in Lastation and hopefully someone would recognize the woman their looking for.
Speaking of her orcale next to her is a young girl; which at times gets mistaken for a boy; that has short silver hair with cobalt blue eyes and wears a black suit like outfit with a blue and black shorts. She wears of below the knee black socks and black shoes with blue line designs and silver circles in the center.
This is Kei Jinguji. Lastations Oracle.
"So anything yet about her whereabouts?" Noire asked.
Kei only shook her head "I'm afraid not. We're only getting a few tips here and there but it's rather inconclusive." Kei answered.
Noire hummed as if trying to come up with something else "Then we're going to need a different plan if we're going to find Rei." Noire replied.
Just then the door opened revealing both IF and Uni but Uni was sporting a bandage wrap around her left leg which got Noires attention.
"Uni what happened?" Noire asked going to her sister.
"Me and IF were investigating an energy source in the abandon subway and when we got to the lower level but when we got their it was a share crystal but I for some reason when I tried to grab it... the share crystal actually hurt me." Uni said.
"Huh? How can a share crystal hurt you?" Noire asked.
"I'm not sure but that's what it did." IF said confirming it.
"Then what about that injury on your leg?" Noire questioned.
"We ran into a serpent. I wasn't fast enough to dodge it's poison attack and got onto my leg. After we beat it IF patched me up and got the poison out." Uni answered.
"And the share crystal? What happened to it?" Kei asked folding her arms.
"Well... that's kinda hard to explain. The share crystal glowed bright and next thing I know it was gone." Uni replied.
"Share crystals don't just vanish. Did it get destroyed during your fight?" Noire asked.
However Kei did remember something she saw earlier and decided it was time to bring it up with Noire.
"Lady Noire. Their is something I want you to see. Lady Uni you as well." Kei replied as they headed toward Noires office with IF joining them.
Once in Noires office Kei showed them all what she found "I was keeping an eye on our shares and I noticed something... shall I say percuilar that might be addressed." Kei said as she brought up a screen showing the percentages of the current nations. However the three of them noticed a fifth share energy.
"Another share energy. Could that mean another goddess?" Noire asked.
"I'm unsure of how this occured but it would seem that it has yet to gain ground as it stands with five percent of the total amount of shares." Kei added.
Noire hummed to herself before she spoke "Well... it doesn't look like it's a big deal yet but do keep me posted if anything changes. We still need to find Rei Ryghts as well." Noire stated which got both Uni and IFs attention.
"Why do you need to find her? Didn't she nearly destroy our dimension." Uni replied.
"Actually from what I recall that was Rei from the Ultra dimension. This one must be a native from here right." IF added as Kei nodded.
"That's correct however we're having difficulties finding her as she is being rather elusive." Kei said.
"We let the guild know incase they come up with any information about her whereabouts but so far no luck. I was planning on heading out myself and look for her personally." Noire replied.
"Let me join you sis. It be better with the two of us looking." Uni said but the sister gave her a questioning look.
"I don't know... what about your leg?" Noire asked.
"It's fine sis. Really." Uni said confidently but Noire could tell that she was lying but didn't want to call her out on it as she sighed.
"Alright... but the moment it starts bothering you we'll head back here immediately okay." Noire said as Uni gave a firm nod.
"Well I better be going too. Good luck on your search." IF said as she left the oracles and the goddess alone.
Though after she exited the basilicom she looked at her hand that appeared during her fight with the serpent as she wondered what had happened. She decided to ignore it for now as she decided to head back to Lowee for now.

Meanwhile in Planeptune Neptune had informed Histoire about what the meeting with Blanc was about and who they were looking for.
"So this Rei Ryghts are you certain she's the person were looking for?" Historie questioned.
"Yep. It's kinda hard to miss that one horn on the side of her head Histy." Neptune replied.
"I'm doing a search of the those that match your description. It shouldn't take too long for me to finish." Historie replied and just after she said that she got a hit as a screen appeared in front of her but she had this rather disappointing look at her face after seeing the information.
"It does not appear that this person exists here in Planeptune." Historie stated.
"Aw man. So much for that." Neptune replied.
"However I've been known to be wrong. Prehaps she doesn't want to be found. Which their is only one way to find her." Historie mentions.
Neptune groaned a bit but she had a feeling what her oracle was going to say.
"Welp. Time to bust out the running shoes. I'll have to physically look around Planeptune and try and find information about her right." Neptune said.
Historie nodded "Yes. I'd have Nepgear join you but she's currently busy with a project for Planeptune at the moment." She added.
"No worries. Just leave this up to little old me. I'll find what we need and be back by lunch time no problem." Neptune said with a cheerful look as she ran outside the office and straight of the basilicom and immediately started her search.
Neptune started her search in the downtown area of Planeptune and started showing people the pictures that she had of Rei but no one has seen her. She even check with the mouse owner of the game shop in town and no such luck their either but she said she would let Neptune know if anything ever came up... and any pre releases on any games that were coming out soon.
In the hours that had past Neptune had been to nearly every place in Planeptune and she all came up empty as the sky was now a bright orange as it was approaching evening.
"Find where Rei Ryghts I said. Look around Planeptune I said. Man this is a lot harder than I thought. Guess even I can't catch a break." Neptune said as she was completely tired as she sat down on a bench to rest her tired feet as she watch the sky and clouds go by. Her thought went back to the video Blanc showed them which was rather distrubing even for her. A bunch of scientists creating a life and like they were trying to play god.
Just that thought alone sent shivers down her spine and that doesn't happen often to her. Though her train of thoughts were shattered when something... someone came into her view that she never thought she'd see. It was Linda or Underling for some. She has light grey skin, green hair, and pointy ears as her eyes were closed.
She wears a black choke collar on her neck. She wears an opened, hooded jacket and a tube top, revealing her chest and belly. Her jacket is a grey color with black trimming on the outside and red on the inside with mouse ears on the top of the hood. She wears grey, baggy pants with strings and is colored black on the waistline. On her feet are dark combat boots with a white belt and black strings.
The girl was currently laying on the grass enjoying the suns rays as if she was taking a nap or something.
"Wait... isn't that Underling or... what was her name again. Oh who care's this is my big break. If anyone would know anything about where to find someone it's definately her." Neptune thought as she got up from the bench and carefully and stealthfully approach the sleeping girl.
She knelt down and poked her cheek as if trying to wake her up but to no avail. She groaned as she poked her twice again trying to get a reaction out of her. Finally getting tired of her not waking up Neptune decided the only best option to wake someone up.
She looked left and right making sure no one else was around and once the coast was clear she raised a palm to the girls face and delievered a solid slap to the cheek as her eyes widen revealing red eyes.
"OW! Damn it! What the hell!?" Linda shouted sitting up from her spot in the grass looking around for the perpetraitor only to find her face to face with Neptune.
"Heya. How's it going?" She asked cheerfully.
"Ugh. The heck do you want? Can't you see I was enjoying some me time you little imp." Linda said.
"Geez don't need to get all grumpy. I mean I know we all get grumpy from getting woken up from our naps but come on." Neptune said.
"If your going to bother me than go somewhere else." Linda replied.
Though that's when Neptune had an idea. Linda must have connections throughout Gamindustri so she might actually know where to find Rei.
"Hold on a minute. There is something I want to ask you if you don't mind that is." Neptune said as Linda groaned at this.
"Fine. What do you want?" Linda said.
"I know you were apart of ASIC once back so you must have connections everywhere right. Theirs actually this person I'm looking for." Neptune added.
"Okay... who is it?" Linda asked.
"Her names Rei Ryghts. She about six foot tall, long blue hair, only one hair on the side of her head." Neptune described the woman.
Linda only stood their a moment before she spoke up but with a grumble in her throat.
"No." Linda stated.
"Great so you think you can... wait. What!?" Neptune said rather shocked at her answer.
"Sorry can't help you with that." Linda answered.
"B-B-B- But why? This is really important that we find Rei." Neptune said getting close to Linda.
"Look I said no. I can't help you find Rei. She doesn't want to be bothered." Linda said which made Neptune look at her more closely.
"Wait a minute. A person only says that if they know something. You know where she is don't you." Neptune replied knowingly.
Linda was now sweeting bullets trying to figure out a solution to get away from the purple haired goddess and luckily she knows this ones particular weakness.
"Um... oh hey! There's a pudding cart right over their!" Linda called out pointing behind Neptune as the purple haired goddess turned with stars in her eyes.
"Really where? Oh I love to have me some pudding right about now!" Neptune cheered looking around for said cart unknowingly to her that Linda brought out her pipe as she winded up like a bat and swung with all her might at the goddess.
Her pipe connected with Neptunes backside and sent her comically flying into the air shouting.
"YOU TRICKED ME!" Neptune shouted as she flew through the air directly right toward Planeptune Tower.
Linda only sighed "Sorry kiddo. She doesn't want to be bothered." Linda said before she walked off.

Meanwhile in an undisclosed location the young girl had returned to her base as it had many camera screens all over as it was watching all over Gamindustri and the best part is that the CPU's don't even know about it.
"Remote hacking into Leanbox's satalite was completely genius now I can keep track of all those CPU's and that IF girl. Though she's going to find out real quick about her new skill and boy will she be in for a treat. But probably should test it." She said as she raised her arm and began muttering a chant.
"Monster of skies, monster of fire, heed my call as I summon you. Hear my words and come to me!" The girl chanted as a magic circle appeared in front of her as it glowed bright. Suddenly a large monster appeared before her as it has four red wings, black scales all over its body expect for it's underbelly. It has a smooth tail with a spike like mace at the end. It has blood red eyes and it face has two horns sprouting from it head. The monster had no arms but it had two powerful legs.
The monster roared to its summoner.
"Oh yeah! Croire you've done it again!" The girl now identified as Croire smiled at her monster.
"Alright buddy. Find yourself a good village somewhere in Lowee and do your stuff. No doubt IF will be heading back home. Just give her a little detour will yah." Croire stated as the monster roared before taking flight out of the cave she was hiding in.
"Oh this is going to be great. Wonder what you'll do IF? What will you do?" Croire asked looking at the screen where IF was currently in the forest the connects Lastation with Lowee.
IF slashed at another monster that tried to attack her defeating it quickly as she rode onward to Lowee.
"These monsters are becoming a bit more active. I don't want to be here during the night. I may have an hour left before the sun sets." IF said as she throttled the accelerator going faster. However a bone chilling roar came from above her as look directly above to the giant winged beast flying.
"Is that some kind of dragon!? Wait where is it going?" IF asked as she saw it flew somewhere deeper in Lowee. Against her better judgement she went after the monster following it to the best of her abilities.
She followed the monster to a small town within Lowee territory that only had very few homes in it as the monster landed and started wrecking the place. The people their began to panic and flee from their homes just from the sight of the monster.
"Quick! Someone alert the CPU!" One of the villagers shouted.
"Even if they get word out. Blanc wouldn't make it in time. The village will be destroyed by then." IF thought as she watched the villagers flee.
She had no choice but to step in as she whipped out her pistol and fired shots at the beast as they bounced off it's scales. The monster seized it's rampage before looking right in IF's direction.
"Hey! Overgrown lizard! Trying fighting me!" IF shouted and she put her pistol back in the holster before whipping out her katars. All the villagers could do was look on seeing the traveler take on the dragon.
The two stared at each other daring one another to make a move though IF was doing her best not to panic and run away from the monster.
The dragon reared up and roared at IF before charging at the girl. IF raised her arms as she conjured her spell.
"La Delphinus!" She chanted as holy circled appeared over the dragon and rained down holy shots on the dragon. While the dragon did suffer damage it wasn't much to slow it down.
IF quickly dodged out of the way from the monsters charged causing it to trip over itself and crash into a home.
IF winced as the home was destroyed.
"This monster will just cause more damage. I've got to get it to follow me." IF thought as she ran back to her bike.
"Hey! You want me than come and get me!" IF shouted as she zoomed off. Luckily the monster did follow her as it took to the skies flying above her. The villagers watched as the monster left their village to chase after the adventurer.
IF rode away from the village as the dragon flew above her. The dragon opened it's mouth and shot out a fireball at her. She glanced behind her to avoid the fireball as it exploded behind narrowly missing her. The monster shot more fireballs from its mouth but IF skillfully avoided each one. However the dragon one last fireball and this time it hit its mark just hitting the back of the bike sending herself and her bike flying into the air.
IF landed hard as she rolled on the ground as her bike crashed completely burned from the fireball.
The dragon landed on the ground at it roared at it's prey. She got up off the ground looking at the monster that stood in front of her.
"Okay. I got it away from the village. Now what?" She thought.
The dragon was preparing to attack again at it breathed in before unleashing a stream of fire at her. Casting a quick spell to boost her speed she dodged the fire breath of the creature and quickly sped toward it. Using her katars she slashed at the monsters skin but it didn't do anything to its scales.
The monster roared and swiped it's tail at her hitting her hard knocking her away hitting a nearby tree. It roared at her again like it was going for a killing blow as it was ready to roast her alive.
IF winced as she felt her body ache from the impact and stared down at the monster as she got up from where she was but her body was screaming at her in pain.
"Okay... now what?" She asked herself before looking at it's mouth opening up creating the gas needed to light it's fire.
"Wait... that's it! If I can't penetrate it's body from the outside. Then I'll just have to attacks it's insides. It'll cause a chain reaction killing it from the inside." IF thought as she used what she had to charge at the dragon going for one of her fire base skills but instead her hand was gathering purple poison energy into a sphere.
The monster was ready to breath it's fire at the girl but noticed the girl had suddenly gotten close to him. IF raised her right hand to his mouth and fired her spell at him point blank.
"Bite on this!" IF shouted and the purple sphere was launched into the monsters mouth and exploded on the inside.
The monster roared in pain as it thrashed around as a hissing sound can be heard from with in the monster. Suddenly its feet gave out as IF managed to get out of the way as it crashed to the ground flailing miserably. The webbing on its wings were beginning to dissolve from the poison and even the skin was being pulled away and revealing bone at an alarming rate.
IF watched this happen and was rather confused as she was intended to use a fire skill and not something like this. The dragons thrashing ceased as it went stiff before letting out its final breath as the dragon was now all but bone.
She looked at the monsters skeleton before at her hand wondering what she had done.
"What was that? A poison attack. I... didn't think I would have a skill like that." IF said to herself.
Suddenly she heard voices coming toward her and noticed that it was villagers that she saved.
"The monster has been slain!" A woman shouted cheerfully.
"All thanks to this young girl!" A man cheered and suddenly IF felt herself blushing at the comment.
"Oh... it was nothing really." IF said trying to be bashful about the situation.
"Nonsense. If you didn't show up that dragon would've destroyed our village. Thanks again young miss." The elder of the village said.
"Well... just happy to help." IF said.
"Come we must celebrate!" The elder cheered making the other villagers cheer.
"Th-That's not nessecary! Really!" IF said trying to get out of this situation.
"We'd be delighted if you joined us. After all you did defeat that dragon." The woman said.
IF was rather stuck in rock and a hard place. One she planning on heading back to Lowee to get some rest but on the other hand she did help the villagers out and they wanted to repay her. Plus it be a long walk back to Lowee without her bike.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay for some dinner. Though my bike is completely torched." IF said looking at her burnt bike.
"Leave that to us miss. We'll have it running up in a jiffy right fellas!" A rugged looking man stated.
"YEAH!" His crew shouted as the four of them lifted up her bike and began taking back to the village as they all headed back to the village.
Once they've returned the villagers held a small feast for IF as she accepted their offer. It was a great feast and she quickly made friends of the villagers. They shared some stories between each other including one she shared about her best friends and their adventures.
After about an hour the workers had her motorbike fixed to it's original condition and it got cleaned as well removing any of the burn marks it had on it.
Even though she couldn't stay their as she had to get back home. She waved goodbye to the villagers before riding off toward Lowee as it was already late. Though in her mind she was still thinking of when she learned a poison based skill. Something she would have to check on later.
Meanwhile back in Planeptune a certain goddess was hanging upside down from Planeptune Tower her arms folded acrossed in a distasteful matter.
"I hate this. I can't believe I got tricked by my one simple weakness. Pudding. Curse me and my dumb weakness." Neptune said completely not liking how she got up the tower.
Much to her luck Historie floated out onto the balcony and noticed above her that Neptune was their.
"Oh um... hi Histy. Could you possibly get me down from here. Pretty please." Neptune asked nicely.
Historie only sighed "How did you get up their?" Historie asked.
"Well funny story. I ran into Linda and tried to get intel from her and she tricked me with a comment of pudding." Neptune answered sheepishly.
"I see... and did she tell you anything." Historie added.
"Well... not really. But I have a feeling that she knows about where Rei Ryghts is hiding." Neptune said.
"That's some good news. That just leaves trying to find her again." Historie replied.
"Great! Though um... could you possibly get me down from here. I'm starting to feel sick." Neptune said. Historie floated above where her foot got caught and loosened it allowing Neptune to fall onto the balcony.
"Thanks." Neptune groaned dusting herself off.
Now they know of a person who might know where Rei Ryghts is but they now have to find Linda again. Histories thought went back to the share signal that appeared yesterday and what could be behind it.
