18th of June, 2024.

I went and visited Mio and Shinji because guess what? Their son was born on the 27th of May! And of course, I knew that this was the man, the myth, the legend:

Shido Itsuka.

Or in this case, Shido Takamiya but I'll use both of those surnames just for plots sake.

"Congratulations on the kid!" I exclaimed, smiling at Mio and Shinji.

"Thank you Scara!" Shinji replied happily.

"He's adorable... he already looks like his dad." I replied with a warm smile.

"But seriously you two, I'm happy for you both. We've come from Shinji almost being gunned down to you two having a child. I really do relish in you two being happy and healthy." I said sentimentally.

"Scara, you've done so much for us. We will always be in your debt. Please, if you ever are struggling with anything, come to us." Shinji replied with a smile.

"He's right. Hell, we still talk about when you lived with us all those years ago. It truely was so much fun." Mio said happily.

I kneeled down to Shido, who was sitting in his baby chair.

"Hello Shido.. I am your uncle.. Uncle Scara." I said with a gentle tone, as I softly brushed the back of my hand against his cheek. The sounds Shido made were just... SO ADORABLE!

"It seems he likes you Scara." Mio said with a giggle.

To think that one day, Shido will grow up to be a straight womaniser." I said with a chuckle.

"Ohhh don't even go there. My little boy may have to woo a few girls, but you know what? I wooed the one that made everything possible." Shinji said with a smirk but his tone was still gentle.

When I say Mio blushed like a tomato, she literally blushed like a tomato.

I simply smiled at the romantic interaction between them, feeling truely at peace. Sure, I won't have this feeling to myself, but it's nice to watch Shinji and Mio having their little flirtatious moments.

"I heard DEM retreated out of Japan temporarily. Was that your doing Scara?" Shinji asked with curiosity.

"Nothing fools you Shinji. Yes, I did that. At least we won't be seeing them for a while." I replied with a hint of relief.

"Thank the heavens. I swear Westcott has an obsession for Mio. It makes my blood boil." Shinji said with a hint of annoyance.

"Believe me my beloved, I'd want to kill him slowly for even having the idea of me being his lab rat." Mio stated with animosity.

"He'll get what's coming in due time. For now though, we can focus on our daily lives with no danger." I mentioned with a smile.

"That and Shido won't risk being hurt." Shinji stated with a hint of relief.

"I say we take Shido for a walk along the very beach you two had your first date on." I stated, teasingly.

"Sounds.. G-great." Mio said with a heavy blush on her face, Shinji not fairing much better.

We all then went to the same beach where it all began all those years ago but this time, Mio and Shinji brought Shido with them; I think this'll become their family's most memorable spot.

"Ahh.. the nostalgia." Shinji mentioned with a happy sigh.

"Even after all these years, I still love it here as if it's my first time here.." Mio said with a smile.

"I'll give it to you both, this place is beautiful." I stated with a contented tone.

"This place.. is gonna be our family momento. This was where me and Mio realised we were in love with each other." Shinji recalled.

"One day Shin, our little Shido will understand why this place is so important." Mio mentioned with a gentle smile.

"You got that right." Shinji replied enthusiastically.

I would watch on as the two sat beside each other with Shido on Shinji's lap as they looked off into the horizon, the sunset making this moment all the more romantic and beautiful with its colour pallete.

"I truely am blessed to be here. To witness those 2 have a child and start a family together. If only the Date A Live series ended on that note instead of how it actually ended." I thought to myself, my gaze shifting to the sunset as I took in the serenity of the moment.

"Scara, what are you thinking about?" Shinji asked with curiosity.

"I'm just thinking about my future. Nothing personal or major." I replied with a gentle tone.

"As long as you don't die, then that's fine. Remember, you're a dear friend to us and an uncle to little Shido here." Shinji stated with an assertive tone.

A small grin appeared on my face after Shinji said that. It's almost as if the very idea of being Shido's uncle is actually appealing. It feels... warm and comforting.

"You're right about both of those things Shinji." I said with a smile on my face, my arms down my sides as I went to stand beside the new founded family.

"It really is starting now. Shido is now born, the main character of the series. 2032 is gonna be when things get interesting.. with Kurumi Tokisaki. Then in 2035, Kotori Itsuka will become a spirit and in theory, Origami Tobichi will be there too. As for Tohka, Yoshino, Yuzuru, Kaguya, Miku, Natsumi, Mukuro and Origami if I don't see her during 2035's massive fire, they'll come around during 2040. When 2040 hits, I'll try and be within Ratatoskr's staff list." I thought to myself as my hair gently swayed in the calm wind while I looked at the beauty of the sunset.

Honestly... these 2 have earned my undying loyalty.

Now, before you rush to read chapter 8, I will be taking longer to write these pages. Writers Block just has to exist.

I'm also replacing the high school idea with something else. If I just did the Highschool idea, there'd be way to many OCs to keep track of.

Now, onto Chapter 8! For the "Family Bonds" Arc shall begin!
