"What are we going to do?" Vannah asked Cosmo as she turned away from what felt like her millionth examination of the door of the room that they had been escorted to and apparently locked in.

"I don't know." Cosmo said with a shake of his head. They were locked in, who knows where Sam and Noah were and Noah…. What had happened to that kid? Something obviously had and they needed to find a way out of this room to find out what pronto.

"Maybe those little aliens will be around soon with more food." Bobby said from where he was sitting at the room's table, finishing off a coffee cake. "I wonder what planet they're from? Are they from your planet, Cos?"

"I'm from this planet!" Cosmo shouted at his co worker.

"I'm pretty sure that Marshal Walsh is going to be demanding DNA proof of that." Vannah said with a shake of her head. "What are we going to do? We're locked in here, we have no idea where Sam is and Noah….. He looked seriously hurt."

"I know. I know." Cosmo said. Noah, he definitely hadn't looked good when they had seen him being loaded into that vehicle. He'd tried to get over to him and Sam to find out what happened, but the woman who had been herding them from the cemetery had grabbed him and….. He had no idea how in the world she had picked him up the way she did, and he really hoped she hadn't pulled anything on his shirt, with his luggage still lost.

"That lady was definitely scary. Hope she never meets Marshal Walsh." Bobby said, realizing from the expression on Cosmo's face what he he was thinking of. "She picked you up like a kitten."

"Can we focus here?" Vannah asked. "How do we get out of here, and what are we going to do about Noah and Sam? Noah looked hurt really bad, and Sam…. Did it look like someone was lagging him out of that garage like he was passed out or something?" Sam passed out, that could not be good.

"Did it look like the person who was lagged out was Sam's double? Did the two of you catch that or was it just me?" Bobby asked.

"Not just you." Cosmo said. "Pretty sure it was the guy from the cemetery that was with that lady, the one we thought was Sam." He should have caught that right away in the cemetery, and Sam would definitely be giving him a hard time over it when he found out. What was else was he supposed to think though? What were the odds of someone that looked exactly like Sam turning up in exactly the same place?

"There are two Sams? Do you think Marshal Walsh knows there are two Sams?" Bobby asked. "Because with the headaches one gives her….."

"We'll worry about two Sams later." Cosmo said. "First, we need to work out how to get out of here."

"That door isn't going to open, at least not from the inside." Vannah said. "And even if we could get it open, what would we do? We need some sort of plan."

"If we could get out, I think I remember enough about how we got up here to get back down to that garage." Cosmo said. "And we saw what way they took Noah from there. We can get out of here, we get to the garage and go and find him."

"Sam would definitely want us to get Noah first." Bobby said.

"He looked seriously hurt, though. What are we going to do if we find him and he's hurt?" Vannah said with a worried look at the other two marshals. With how it looked like Noah was hurt, she wasn't sure it would be possible for them to move him.

"It didn't look good." Bobby said. "But there are aliens, right? Aliens have lots of technology. Maybe they fixed whatever happened? Cos, are you sure that you don't know anything about these aliens?"

"I'm from this planet!" Cosmo said. Hurt, Noah was definitely hurt and it looked a lot more serious than any of them had a clue what to do about but…. "We don't worry about that right now. We just worry about finding Noah. We find him, make sure he's safe and if we can't figure a way to get him out of here, we go and find Sam. Sam can figure it out." If that kid was hurt, Sam would move heaven, earth and everything in between for him.

It wasn't much of a plan, but what else could they do? "How do we get out, though?" Vannah said. "That door isn't going to open from in here. They have it locked."

"Maybe that little alien will come around again with more food and coffee?" Bobby said. "Surely we could manage something that small."

"It's an alien, though." Vannah said. "Who knows what an alien could do? Cos, are you sure you don't know anything about this?" They had had their weapons confiscated by the scary lady that had manhandled Cosmo, even a couple of hidden ones that she wasn't sure how the lady had found so they were totally unarmed.

"How many times do I have to say that I'm from this planet?" Cosmo said. An alien, though. Vannah was right. Who knows what an alien might do even one who looked as harmless as the one providing refreshments.

"He did seem pretty focused on the coffee, and the cake." Bobby said. "Maybe if we could distract him somehow one of us could slip out and then open the door from the outside?"

"Let's go with it. Vannah, you get by the door. Bobby and I will do the distracting."

"If it's one thing you can manage perfectly, it's being a distraction." Vannah said. And was that a noise she heard? She hurried to the door and pressed her back against the wall beside it. Let this work. Noah needed them. This had to work.

The serving cart the little alien was pushing was bigger than him, Vannah realized as the door came open and the worm pushed more refreshments in. No, don't focus on anything but getting through that door without being noticed. She held her breath and jumped through as it started to close, and Cos and Bobby started to argue. Out, she was out. She eased slowly down the hall and pressed herself into the closed doorway of the next room. Now if no one came down this way before she could let her friends out.

"That worked. Can't believe that worked." Bobby said when the door slid open a few minutes later. "Does anyone want any coffee or cake for the road?"

"Eat later." Cosmo said as he hurried out with the bigger marshal following behind, half of the cake in his hand. "Okay, the garage is down. We find some stairs and we go down. Find the garage and find Noah." As he talked he winced slightly at pain he was finally noticing in his shoulder.

"Cos, are you okay?" Vannah asked. Noah was hurt, Sam was missing and in some sort of condition that made him collapse. They didn't need more injuries.

"Must have banged it or pulled something when Sheridan hit us. It'll be fine." Cosmo said. Elevators they had us in are down that way. Sometimes stairs are by elevators. Let's go and get that kid back."
