Chloe watched Sabrina fiddle with the web-shooters while she sewed up tears in her costume. After accidentally piercing one of hers with her weird "stingers," she didn't want to have that happen again.

She heard a knock on her door. She and Sabrina quickly shoved everything spider-related under the bed in a panic. And opened the door to Mayor Bourgeois, Chloe's father himself.

"Oh, Chloe! You're okay! I was so worried when I saw that Shocker blasting his way through- YOU'RE HURT!" Mayor Bourgeois pointed to a pair of bruises Chloe had on her arm.

'HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THOSE!? Must've got them from Shocker. Okay, just gotta come up with a good lie. No big deal.' Chloe thought.

"Uh, I tripped on my way back from the mall."

'TRIPPED?! What kind of ridiculous excuse is that?' Chloe screamed mentally at herself.

"Ok." Mayor Bourgeois calmed down.

"Sooooo, daddy..." Chloe started. "Why did you talk about Golden Weaver like that?"

"Because, Chloe, the last thing Paris needs is some immature child running around in a costume. Golden Weaver is irresponsible and juvenile." Mayor Bourgeois said.

Chloe's heart sank a little.

"But what if she has good intentions?" Sabrina asked.

"Good intentions? Pfft." Mayor Bourgeois put his hand on Chloe's shoulder. "She is a shameless egotist that only fights lawbreakers to fuel her own pride. She has no good intentions."

A phone began to ring. It was the Mayor's.

"Sorry." Mayor Bourgeois picked up and began to talk. "I'm sorry, Chloe, they need me at City Hall." Mayor Bourgeois began to walk out the room. "I'll see you soon!" He closed the door, leaving Sabrina and a very unhappy Chloe alone.

Chloe sat down on the couch. Getting dragged down by her father of all people...

Before Chloe could continue to mope, a hexagonal orange portal opened, and Miles walked out again.

"Hey Chloe. You ready, or did I come at a bad time?" Miles said.

"Ready for what?" Chloe asked.

Miles motioned to the portal with both hands. "I did say I was gonna teach you somewhere else."

Oh.

She was going to another universe.

"Wait!" Chloe and Sabrina ran to Chloe's room, and Chloe walked out wearing her Golden Weaver costume. "Ta-da! Better than that bland mask you were making me wear."

Miles rolled his eyes and put on his mask. "Cool suit. Try to keep up!" And then he jumped through the portal.

Chloe looked to Sabrina. "Sabrina, if Daddy asks-"

"Don't worry, I'll think of something." Sabrina said.

Chloe hugged Sabrina (with enough strength to make her wheeze, due to Chloe forgetting she had super-strength for a second). "I'll be back later!" And with that, Chloe jumped through the portal.

It felt like being on a roller coaster.

No, scratch that. A water slide. With a roller coaster, you just go up and down. Chloe was going up, down, left, right. Basically every direction.

Then the portal spat her out somewhere. It was kinda dark. And metal. But something was off.

Chloe looked up to see her hair floating. "Are we upside down or in space?"

"Upside-down." Miles said. "Don't worry, it just takes getting used to."

There was a loud. humming sound, somewhat startling Chloe.

"What was that!?" Chloe exclaimed.

"The elevator." Miles deadpanned.

"Oh."

After a few seconds, the elevator opened to a place of mismatched and random beams with dozens, maybe even hundreds, of people in similar costumes to Miles and Chloe, with the two themselves being upside-down.

"Welcome to the Spider-Society!" Miles exclaimed. "Oh, forgot to give you this." He handed Chloe a rubber band looking bracelet.

"What is this?" Chloe asked.

"Day pass. Don't want you glitching." Miles said.

"Glitching?" Now Chloe was confused. Isn't that what happens when a video game malfunctions?

"Universes can tell when someone doesn't belong in them. When you go into another universe when you aren't native, your atoms start to get erased from existence. Which causes you to glitch." Miles explained.

Slightly panicked, Chloe quickly put on the day pass.

"Yeah, it's not cool. Don't worry, I'll get you a watch soon," Miles said.

"MILES!" Four voices yelled in unison.

Surprise and slight fear appeared on Miles' face. Before he could even move, four figures hug-tackled him to the ground.

The first was a blond girl with a tooth gap and a white and black spider-suit. The second was an Indian boy wearing a red and blue spider-suit. The third was a black girl wearing purple with a spider-suit design that looked like it escaped from a Tron movie. And the fourth...

Chloe honestly had no idea what she was even looking at. The guy changed colors every two seconds. Combine that with the punk jacket, and you had a crime against fashion that made Chloe want to throw up.

Miles clawed his way out of the pile of spider-people. "Way to greet a man, guys."

"Sorry, man." The Indian boy said. The pile dispersed, and only now were they acknowledging Chloe's existence.

"And you must be the girl Miles is mentoring? Charlotte, was it?" The color-changing guy said.

"CHARLOTTE!?"

"Relax, he's kidding." Miles pointed to the blond girl, Indian boy, black girl, and whatever that thing in the jacket was in that order. "Chloe, this is Gwen, Pavitr, Margo, and Hobie."

Pavitr looked to Chloe's wrists and noticed something abnormal. "Did ya break your web-shooters or something?"

Chloe looked at her wrists. "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about this." Chloe stuck her arms out, focused...

SHAKT!

...and the stingers came out her wrists, this time without piercing her modified web shooters, much to the surprise to others.

"What the?!"

"Huh?!"

"Oh God, not another Kaine."

Miles stared in mild surprise. "I did not know you can do that."

Before anyone could say any more snarky remarks, Miles' watch buzzed before someone's face appeared on it.

"Hey Miles, Miguel says you and the others gotta come over. Got a mission."

Miles groaned. "Man, I just wanted to go to the training zone. C'mon guys."

Everyone groaned a little, walking while Chloe followed them, confused.

Gwen walked a little slower to talk to Chloe. "He didn't tell you about Miguel, did he?"

Chloe tried to remember. When Miles tried to tell her his story, she blanked out for most of it. So, she had no clue what happened.

"No."

Gwen began talking to Chloe a little quieter. "A while ago, we used to believe in something called 'Canon Events.' Basically, Miguel told us certain things had to happen for the sake of our universes. Most importantly, the death of a police captain."

Chloe's eyes widened in shock. Death of a police captain?! Like Sabrina's father? She was feeling horrible just thinking about it.

"Miles was NOT a fan. He ran back to his verse... and ended up proving Miguel wrong. He managed to save his dad while keeping his universe together. The two have had bad blood ever since." Gwen explained.

Chloe just went blank for a second. Talk about a lot to digest.

The six walked into a dark area barely illuminated by computer screens. There was some platform that looked like it floated in the air. And on that platform was one singular person, standing in the dark.

"Creepy..." Chloe joked.

The man in the dark lowered the platform so that the spiders could see him. He was a Latino man wearing a dark blue and red spider-suit with a skull like spider symbol on his chest.

"Meet Miguel O'Hara." Hobie said.

"Oh, finally, you've managed to get he- Wait, who is that?" Miguel pointed to Chloe.

"Chloe Bourgeois." Chloe did a mock bow.

Miguel rolled his eyes. "Alright, listen you six."

The screen lit up to show an old, bald man in an odd, black, mechanical flight suit with two large wings.

"Adrien Toomes, also known as the Vulture of Earth-6014. Like other anomalies, he got thrown onto another Earth after Kingpin's collider debacle. And you six are gonna clean it up." Miguel said.

Gwen groaned loudly. "Another Vulture? Fine," she moaned.

The six walked out of the room, before Miles started typing into his watch. In seconds, a portal opened.

"Last one there's a rotten egg!" Pavitr put on his mask and ran through the portal quickly, with the other five following quickly.

After coming out of the other end of the portal, Chloe put on her mask and swung up to a nearby skyscraper.

Miles, who had his mask on, swung up to the top of a water tower, with the others following seconds later.

"We splitting up or sticking together?" Spider-Punk asked.

"I vote split up." Spider-Byte said.

"Me too." Spider-Woman said.

"Alright then, we'll split up. We go three directions, if anyone finds Vulture, we call the others for backup. I'll go with Spider-Woman, Spider-Byte goes with Spider-Man India, and Spider-Punk goes with Golden Weaver," Spider-Man said.

Golden Weaver looked at the fashion atrocity that was Spider-Punk. What did she do to deserve this?

"Ight. C'mon Goldy, let's go," Spider-Punk began to swing away, while Golden Weaver followed.

While the two swung, Spider-Punk proceeded to ask a slightly odd question.

"Is it true you're French?"

"Huh?" Golden Weaver asked.

"You French?"

"Yeah?"

She shouldn't have answered. Now Spider-Punk was messing with her by bombarding her with questions.

"Is it true French people really like wine?"

"Are y'all actually super elegant?"

"French people are arrogant. Yes or no?"

Golden Weaver groaned. Why was this guy basically interrogating her?

Wait, she recognized that accent anywhere.

He was British.

That explained everything.

"I will give you five seconds before I web your mouth shut," Weaver moaned.

Spider-Punk did not stop. If anything, he got WORSE.

'Please Vulture. Wherever you are, just reveal yourself please,' Weaver begged mentally.

The two swung to the top of a tall skyscraper with a glass top. Still no Vulture in sight. How long is this gonna take?

Evidently, not long.

Just then, both Golden Weaver's and Spider-Punk's spider-sense went off at the same time. Just then, a large black blur smacked into them both with two large metal claws.

CRASH

The two superheroes were sent crashing through the roof and to the floor, groaning in pain.

Weaver and Spider-Punk looked up. Black wings, bald, flight suit. Yep, it was the Vulture.

"Great, another insect in my way," Vulture said. Then randomly, he suddenly distorted into a mess of random colors. That must've been the "glitching" Miles talked about earlier.

Spider-Punk spoke into his watch. "Found the birdy. And oh boy, is he mad."

"Maybe it's because he saw your awful outfit," Golden Weaver said.

Vulture dove down for another swoop. Luckily, without the element of surprise, the two spiders dodged the attack quite effortlessly.

Then, suddenly, the feathers flew out in all directions. And they were BLADED.

Weaver looked around the area. Civilians were still around. Dammit. She had to be careful. One wrong move and someone's dead.

The Vulture swooped down Weaver again, trying to take the hero's head off with his wings. Weaver jumped up, landing on the supervillain's back.

Vulture tried to fly to the side, intending to drive Weaver into a wall, but fortunately, a quick web from Spider-Punk just meant he crashed into a wall himself.

Vulture flew out of his dent growling in anger. In anger, the criminal sent a couple feathers flying at an innocent civilian.

Weaver moved fast. She launched a web at the civilian, pulling him out of harm's way.

Unfortunately, that left her open.

Vulture stuck hard. He grabbed her with his metal talons, before throwing her into a wall with enough force to break it. Oh, she was going to feel this in the morning.

"Stupid Spiders always getting in my w-AUGH!"

Spider-Punk launched a web into Vulture's face. The bird-themed villain tried to crawk the web off. Leaving him off to a kick in the face by Golden Weaver.

Vulture finally managed to claw the webbing off his face. "Just when I thought one Spider was annoying enough, I face two!"

Suddenly, a bunch of webs rained down, gunking up Vulture's wings.

"What about six?" Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man India, and Spider-Byte all jumped down from the hole in the ceiling, with Spider-Man landing directly on Vulture's back.

Spider-Man made two web-lines attached to Vulture's wings and began to fly him around. "Ride 'em cowboy!"

Then, at the last second, Spider-Man jumped off, resulting in Vulture crashing into three pillars.

The six superheroes walked to Vulture, who was now basically an unconscious heap.

"Easy peasy." Spider-Woman joked.

Spider-Byte opened a portal, that was for some reason on the floor. Spider-Man India tied up Vulture and picked him up. Then he jumped into the portal.

The other four jumped seconds later, with Golden Weaver being the last. Weaver looked to the spooked civilians.

"Sorry about that little kerfuffle, everyone. Au revoir!" She did a mock salute, before falling back-first into the portal.

The Spider-Squad landed back at Spider-Society HQ and took off their masks.

"Another easy adventure for Spider-Man," Pavitr said, hands behind his back.

Everyone in the group except for Chloe glared at Pavitr the moment he said that.

"My bad."

The six heroes walked into a dark area full of jailed villains where Miles put something on Vulture's wrist before putting him in a cell.

"So, how was your first multiversal mission Frenchie?" Hobie asked.

Chloe responded to Hobie with a glare at first, but then...

A happy chuckle.

"Do you guys do this often?" Chloe asked happily. She could get used to things like this.

Miles shrugged. "Nah, anomalies don't show up often. Most of the time we just hang out."

Just then, Chloe's face went from joy to panic. It felt like she had been gone for hours. And if she was gone for so long, her father wouldn't just be suspicious, he would be SCARED SOULLESS.

"Uh, Miles? Can you portal me home?" Chloe asked.

Miles typed a few things into the watch, and then a portal opened behind Chloe.

Chloe walked back into the portal while waving to the other Spiders. "See you later."

Chloe landed on a roof somewhere. She was home in the busy streets of Paris, but she wasn't home at the hotel. And the sky looked darker than before, so it was certainly later.

Chloe speedily swung to her home. She had to get there quick.

After a couple minutes, she managed to get to her room at the hotel. Phew, piece of ca-

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Crap.

Chloe quickly wore her normal clothes over her spider-suit and peeked open the door a little. It was just Armand.

"Miss Bourgeois, are you alright? Your father hasn't seen you for hours now," Armand said.

"Just fine. I was just doing something somewhere far," Chloe lied.

Armand nodded and closed the door. Once Chloe was 100% sure he was gone, she made a hammock made of web and laid in it.

Shockwave-launching thugs, runaways scattered across the multiverse...

She was kinda excited about what was gonna come next.
