Chapter Six: A Race Among Friends
Rover stands outside Taoqi's home in the light of the night street. Stars sparkling overhead yet all she felt was concern. When she woke up atop Sanhua, she had realized she broke her expectations of Taoqi who wanted her back before nightfall.
She felt it best to just be honest and confess what happened and hope that she would understand. With a hesitant pause between each, she knocks on the front door. After the third, it opens and Taoqi grabs her arm and pulls her inside.
"Ah!" She yelps as the door was flung shut behind her, Taoqi wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug.
"Rover! I was worried you had run away…" She says, relieved. Rover gulps, gently hugging her back.
"I um…met another member…" She speaks.
"Oh?" Taoqi fakes her surprise, Sanhua having suggested to keep Rover in the dark about their conversation.
"Conductor Sanhua…" she states with shame. Taoqi smiles warmly, pecking her lips sweetly.
"Oh Rover, you act like I wasn't expecting others to get a hold of you when they found out." She says comfortingly, "It's all part of our process. After all even Conductors like me need to let loose once and a while."
"That's true but…You told me to be back before the day was out…"
"I did, but you have a good reason for being late. After all," She cups her chin, "You couldn't say no~ You didn't say no, did you?"
"I…didn't want to…" Rover says, catching her poor wording, "to say no, that is."
"Oh~?"
"I wanted…to help her too." Taoqi smiles at that, patting her pet on the head.
"My good girl, so kind~ You're going to be a great Cadenza."
"Cadenza?" She looked rightfully confused.
"Mhm, your title as a pet for accepting your role."
"Just…it felt, like the right thing to do. Sanhua said before she doesn't see other people like she does me so…"
"So, you wanted her to experience the pleasure and perceive it as it really was." Rover nods as her master finished her statement.
"Am…I to be disciplined master?" Rover asks softly, a faint hint of both worry and excitement in her gentle words.
"No, you did very well today. I'm proud of my little Cadenza~" Taoqi kisses her forehead.
"T-Thank you…" She blushes.
"Let's get to bed, I do have a task for you tomorrow." She says, relaxing her embrace. Rover would nod, walking with her mistress and lying in bed with her. She wraps the Director's arm in a tight hug against her bare skin, earning a grin.
"Good night mistress." She says.
"Rest well my little Rover." She rubs her cheek, and the pair retire for the day properly.
Morning came rather too soon for Taoqi, having been up later than usual fretting over Rover's absence. She groans as she sits up in bed, not feeling her there but the first look to the side eased her sudden worry.
"Good morning, Master~" Rover smiles, kneeling beside the bed with a plate of freshly made breakfast for her. Knowing Taoqi's energy conserving habits, it was a hot bowl of porridge sided with a couple slices of toast and a fried egg between them. She smiles wide.
"It is now~" She coos, accepting the plate from Rover and resting it on her lap, "You didn't have to."
"But if I didn't, you'd have had to trouble yourself with it." She whines.
"True." She chuckles, digging into her meal, "Mmm, very good. I'll have to show you my personal technique for porridge, so you can make it exactly how I like~"
"Okay, I'll give it my all~" She smiles.
"As for today, I have work to do at the office. You, however, will be spending it with dear Baizhi." She says after a few bites.
"Why?"
"Because she's been interested in your body after all~" She teases.
"O-Oh, I thought that had just been a…slip of the tongue." Rover says, recalling the first time she met the analytical scientist, "But given this new revelation I guess it probably wasn't at all."
"Exactly." She finishes her breakfast, setting the plate aside as she swings her legs over the side of the bed, sitting properly on the edge, "So will you be a good girl and be my fellow Conductor's plaything for the day~?"
"Y-Yes master." She nods.
"If I hear good things from her…" She brings her leg around Rover's head, pushing her against her crotch, "I'll have a sizeable reward for you~"
"A-Ah…" She breaths deeply, "Y-Yes master…I'll do my best~"
"Good girl~" She stands up, "Get dressed and give her a call." Taoqi starts to put on her own clothes after. Rover gets into her garments as well, and as she reaches for her terminal is hugged from behind, "Have a lovely day, don't rush. I'll be waiting for you here once she releases you." She whispered gently.
"I understand." Rover shivers at her warm breath against her ear.
"Be sure to lock the door behind you, I need to get going." She sighs, patting her on the behind. Rover nods as she watches Taoqi leave for work, sighing sadly and then grabbing her terminal to call Baizhi.
"Rover, good morning." Rover hears her voice but not a display. She then could hear the faint sound of gagging through the line.
"Good morning Baizhi. Mistress Taoqi told me you…were to have me for the day." She says, the sounds of what had to be Chixia blowing her already turning her on.
"I'm happy to hear you haven't fled. I'll send you our location, Chixia and I are outside the city today." She says, "Don't keep us waiting." The call ended before Rover could state her agreement on instinct, soon receiving the coordinates to them. It wasn't far, just northeast of the city by the coastline. Rover takes a breath and sets out after making sure the door is properly locked once leaving the building.
After exiting the city from the north gate, it was an immediate right turn along the beach. As she approached the coordinates, she would keep her eyes open for the pair. Reaching a large rocky arch, Rover hears skin striking skin near her, a sound she was all too familiar with in recent time. Turning the bend, she saw Chixia with her ass in the air, bent all the way forward so her arms rested on the floor with her head in them, and legs spread to the sides on the tips of her toes as her Conductor was making solid use of her, both still mostly clothed.
"Welcome Rover." Baizhi glances at her out of the corner of her eye, already noting Rover's legs gently pressed together.
"H-Hey."
"Mmm~! Hiii~" Chixia moans as she shivers, Baizhi pressing their hips together as she filled her loyal Cadenza.
"Ah…" The Conductor breaths, pulling out. Rover learns that they had been using Chixia's pussy, the desire to run to Taoqi and do the same pounding in her chest as the redhead stands upright, getting her shorts back on.
"W-Was I late?" She asks.
"For the first round, yes." Baizhi says, tucking her member away under her dress, "But we have all day Rover, do not fret. I would be a fool to not have a plan for our time together."
"My mistress is always prepared~" Chixia purrs.
"Chixia, be a dear and do a quick walk around." Her owner commands, but with gentle care in her tone.
"Yes ma'am!" She stands up straight, walking off to do a sweep around the area likely for any disturbances. Baizhi turns her gaze upon Rover, the latter feeling like she was being analyzed for experimentation. She walks up to her, looking into her eyes.
"I can see you are excited Rover." She smiles.
"A-A bit…I guess." Rover says, not able to determine what it was about her stance that made it seem at the level Baizhi seemed to imply.
"I admit, I was expecting more hesitancy." She comments, walking around her slowly, "A welcome surprise. You hardly batted an eye seeing what you did." She leans up to her ear from behind, "Did it warm you, seeing two close friends engaging in such activities?"
"I…yes…" she admits, "But, I wonder about something." She says, looking to her right around the edge of the arch above at Chixia walking back from her scouting stroll.
"That being?" Baizhi prods her for the question.
"Do you and Chixia…do this as more than just a Conductor and Cadenza?"
"There are feelings of mutual affection, yes, that go beyond a mere beneficial relief of stress." She smiles at the crimson gunslinger as she approaches.
"If I hadn't felt some kind of love for her, do you think I'd have willingly stayed as her Maestro?" Chixia grins with loving joy.
"Maestro?" Rover blinks, a new title rising.
"When a Cadenza willingly stays loyal as a Conductor's sole pet, they become their Maestro." Baizhi turns and holds Chixia's hands gently, "And nothing had made me happier to hear of it." The pair kiss deeply. Rover smiles warmly.
"I guess it's late but, I'm very happy for you both." Rover says.
"Aww, thanks Rover~"
"Now, was the coast clear my dear?" Baizhi asks.
"Of TDs yeah, but it looks like some of the fishers from nearby were making their way over here."
"I see. Let us relocate in that case."
"Where should we go to?" Rover asks.
"Not far, there is a decently concealed glade close by we can continue our activities in." Rover felt her pulse quicken slightly at the implication, "However, first I would propose a small challenge to you both."
"Oh?" The two grew interested.
"Much as I wish I could enjoy both, I can only handle one of you at any given time." She says, "The first to reach the glade with three Gemberry flowers shall have first rights to me." Baizhi smiles to herself as she sees both girls look at each other with a sense of competition, "Rover, you shall go to the north. Chixia, you get the west. The grove is directly northwest of here, I shall share the coordinates with you both once I arrive."
"Yes ma'am!" They said, walking into their starting points as Baizhi points them out to the pair.
"Ready?" She holds up her hand, ready to snap her fingers, "Set." They prepare to sprint, "Go!" and with a snap the two girls dash off.
Rover makes her way around the nearby small settlement instead of rushing through it, keeping her eyes peeled as she works to recall where she could find some Gemberry flowers in this area. Making her way forward, she gets the coordinates for the grove, which she had moved past a fair way. She pauses, coming to a stop, and turns around to make her way more calmly in the direction of the goal.
"Won't matter if I find any if Chixia beats me to the finish." She says to herself as she walks and hears the sound of stone footfalls from the other side of a hill. She focuses, using her terminal's sensor utility to scan the area. She saw not only a nearby Stonewall Bracer, a TD made of rocks, but also a Gemberry cluster. Just the amount she would need, "That rock head's right on top of them…" she creeped around the hill, which sloped off sharply to reveal the Tacet Discord sitting directly in front of her target.
She thinks for a moment. Stonewall Bracers were one of the more common Elite class TDs, while dangerous it was also very simple minded. She decided if anything it would be best to take it down regardless in case a passing hiker or trader stumbled upon it first.
She takes the element of surprise by force, grappling out into the air from her vantage and striking down with full force on her opponent. As expected, this didn't hurt it too much as it pulls itself to its feet whilst Rover sneaks in a few more quick hits before flipping backwards to evade a heavy swing of that powerful arm.
Its bellow was more akin to grinding earth as it charged forward, a simple roll to the side proving enough to dodge as it lands flat on its front past her.
"Got you!" She focuses her energy into a single point, a black wing forming from her shoulder as she detonates a small but powerful burst of energy right on top of the Bracer, which easily took it down. She dusts herself off and turns to examine the berries, "Good, still intact." She smiles, harvesting them carefully before hurrying away towards the grove. Looking at the coordinates, she made her way around to the single path up the large hillside.
"Oh no you don't!" She hears Chixia who was approaching at a healthy speed at the same time, her own haul in her hands. It became a neck-to-neck race to the finish line, both running at full steam as Baizhi rests on a fallen log in the grove, one leg crossed over the other.
They both slid to a stop before her, each unsure who won from the headrush of competition and panting, looking at Baizhi as they present their tribute.
"Hmm, it appears to be a tie…" She ponders, then gives Rover's flowers a look before nodding approvingly and moving over to Chixia to do the same. Both waited in earnest, "Chixia."
"Y-Yeah?" She frowns as Baizhi turns one of the Gemberries around. It was short two petals, "Aww dang it!"
"Rover is the winner." She declares, "You both arrived together, but her petals are all intact." Rover looks at the slightly upset friend beside her.
"…Conductor?" She starts.
"What is it?" She asks.
"Where were you…wanting to take me?" She asks, hoping for the answer she expected.
"Why, your womanhood of course."
"But…I wanted my first to be with…" she was surprised with herself, reserving her virginity for her mistress.
"Oh." Baizhi nods, "I see, so Taoqi has not opened your flower to others yet."
"May I, concede victory to Chixia?" She offers.
"Hmm, but I already helped myself to hers~" Then her eyes light up with an idea, "Hmm, a change of reward." She smiles, "Rover, would you like to help yourself to the loser~?"
"W-What?" She blinks, Chixia blinking as she stares at her lover.
"So now the winner takes all~?" She smiles.
"Indeed." Baizhi turns to Rover, "It is not uncommon for a Conductor's Cadenza to enjoy time with their fellows in rank." She takes the flowers from Chixia, who is then pushed gently towards Rover. Needing no further encouragement, she walks up to her.
"What do you say Rover…want a chance to be on top~?" She purrs. Rover's lips curl up into a grin.
"Well…I think I do~"
