I don't have much time Eddie! You promise me right this second that you won't come down here! PROMISE ME, EDDIE! Ann begged her ex-husband over the phone.
I promise Ann, Eddie Brock will not come down there! Eddie said as the venom symbiote entered the phone line.
The other! Ann screamed as the symbiote bonded with her once again. Ann hated this thing, it fueled her ego and released the darkness she kept inside.
Talk to me alien, why has Eddie sent you to me?! Ann demanded.
What? Eddie wants us to meet him where?! That horrible place?! Then we've got a long trip ahead of us. So we better be on our way then. Ann communicated with the symbiote as it shared Eddie's message and memories.
She-Venom somersaulted towards the window and escaped custody as she bounced off a police car before running across the rooftops, heading for Brooklyn.
Ann knew she could use the other's powers to web swing but this was only the second time she'd bonded and she didn't want to give into the power no matter how addicting it was.
Yet she could feel the symbiote convincing her it was the right thing to do. But the more she saw of Eddie's memories, the more she felt disgusted and the symbiote didn't help in the matter as it suppressed the emotional impact but Ann remembered it so clearly.
Killing the low level thugs in the sewers, it was a horrible feeling yet she knew deep in her heart, she was tired of being damsel in distress and the symbiote used it to its advantage.
However, a small part of her believed the symbiote could be used for the greater good as she admittedly loved the feeling of wearing the alien costume.
She-Venom stopped on one of the rooftops.
Once I return you to Eddie, never bond with me again! Ann demanded.
What?! No, I don't like you or the power, you made me go berserk that day! I know Eddie did this for me but what you two have done together… I can't forgive him for his actions. Ann argued with the other as she did her best to resist the influence.
You want me to web swing?! I can't do that! You're telling me it's easy? She-Venom looked down towards the ground.
Absolutely not! I will not fall to my death today, alien. I know we're in a hurry but it doesn't mean we have to do it now! Ann argued but the symbiote "encouraged" its host to embrace the power.
She-Venom gulped for a moment but decided for whatever reason it was worth a shot. She'd just hoped the alien would save her if it all went wrong.
She-Venom leaped over the ledge and was falling at high speed, feeling the wind blowing against her. Her heart beated rapidly as she was afraid of splattering like a pancake but she did what the alien showed. She aimed her hand towards the building on the other side of the street, a white webline fired from her hand and stuck to its target. Next she knew she was "flying" through New York.
This is amazing! She-Venom screamed from the top of her lungs as she quickly got the hang out of it. For a moment, all her troubles disappeared from her thoughts. No Eddie, no symbiote, no police, she felt free.
Meanwhile, Ben Reilly a.k.a Spider-Man was following her.
"Where is she going?" Spider-Man thought.
Williamsburg Bridge some time later
Going to Brooklyn are you? And transferring to a subway, too! Don't you know that the mayor is cracking down on fare-beaters? Ah well, at least he leaves the costumed villains, mutant wackos and alien symbiotes to me! Spider-Man talked to himself as he landed at the back of the train.
Mama, look! It's Spider-Man! A kid said as he saw Spider-Man outside the window.

That didn't matter, the symbiote saw the opportunity to end him. "No, we don't have time for this!" Ann yelled inside their shared mind.
Woah! Spider-Man barely dodged She-Venom's attack as she webbed him up and pulled towards her.
I'm flattered but I'm not feeling like dancing tonight. Spider-man jokes.
Oh you should, because this will be your last! She-Venom roared as she clawed her enemy but Spider-Man used the opportunity to get free from her webbing.
Where's Eddie, She-Venom? Spider-Man asked.
None of your business! He shall be pleased to hear today's the day Spider-Man died. She-Venom retorted as she continued to be on the attack.
Easy there, I was in the midst of fixing my costume, but I'll maybe forgive you if you turn yourself in. Spider-Man suggested.
Better, we'll buy you a new one once you're gone. Spider-Man's spidey sense triggered as he dodged an incoming bridge.
Where'd she go? Spider-man looked around but She-Venom was gone.
Surprise! She-Venom choked Spider-Man before kicking him down to the train roof. Spider-Man tried to free himself but She-Venom stomped him really hard on the chest as the sound of cracking was heard.
Say hi to Uncle Ben for us! She-Venom mocked as she was about to finish him but suddenly she froze.
What are you doing?! She-Venom talked to herself. She-Venom's mask opened up halfway.
NO! I'm not killing anyone today! Ann screamed as she regained control and let go of Spider-Man.
I don't want to fight you Spider-Man. She-Venom holds her hands up.
Normally I wouldn't trust my enemies who say something like that but I have a feeling you're telling the truth. Spider-Man replied as he accepted She-Venom's hand.
We're meeting Eddie so the symbiote can return to Eddie. She-Venom revealed.
Good, he and I have unfinished business. What about you? Are you going to share the alien with him? Spider-Man asked.
God no! Ann is done with Eddie, Ann doesn't want to be a killer. We hate wearing the alien, all it's done brought us pain and suffering. She-Venom ranted.
You could have fooled me with the way you control the symbiote. I'm not like my clone, I believe you can use it for the better. Spider-Man expressed.
Are you kidding?! We're barely in control, we feel our other wanting to take over anytime soon. Sorry to burst your bubble Spider-Man but we cannot be superheroes. She-Venom responded as she left the train, swinging away to her location.

Thrill World Amusement Park, Brooklyn
The symbiote wasn't happy with Ann's decision as the symbiote was back in control as they arrived at their location, looking for something specific.
They call this the house of horrors, not very scary at all. She-Venom commented as she destroyed everything in her way.
Of course it might have been more effective before the park closed down and got all run down! Now where's that hatch… Aha! Just where I remembered it to be! She-Venom opened the hatch and jumped down.
What in the blue blazes is down there? How does she exactly know where to go? What connection could Ann Weying have with an abandoned amusement park? Of course! My clone told me all about this place! This is where my "parents" were held captive by Venom. Ann was here too. Spider-Man recalled.
Uh oh, something else is down there and something else is outside too! Spider-Man realised danger was to come.
House of Horrors Storage Room
Iniquitous perfidy! Betrayed by a low poltroon! Ah Jomo or whatever your real name is. I bestowed my trust upon you and you had the gall to traipse into my sanctum sanctorum wearing a radio transmitter! Who do you report to, traitorous dog? LD-50 asked as he polished his baseball bat.
You're going down, LD-50! They're going to drop you a hole up in marion and lay a concrete slab over it! The agent retorted.
Roach! Proceed to the surface with your flame thrower and incinerate any and all who would intervene! Whilst I am engaged in the odious interrogation of this nefarious informer! LD-50 instructed.

You cut that poor man loose or pay the consequences! She-Venom threatened as she clung to the wall.
Dawg! It's She-Venom! I heard all about her on the radio! She trashed the main cop shop!
I'm utterly unimpressed. What does she think she is, The Avengers? This upstarting bimbo is nothing compared to them! Blow her away! LD-50 ordered as everyone started shooting.
Listen Ann, if you're going to get into the hero line of work, you have to remember to get out of the way of the bullets! Spider-man scolded as he dragged She-Venom away from the bullets.
We don't need your help Spider-Man! She-Venom yelled. We deal with bullets our own way! And we deal with the scum who prey on the innocent by EATING THEIR BRAINS! She-Venom easily deflected the bullets with her tendrils before she attacked the goons.
No, alien, stop! Ann tried to regain control but the symbiote was in full control, punishing Ann for not killing Spider-Man.
Urgh! Now, I 've got to save these drug and weapons dealers from her! Spider-Man facepalmed as he wished some days weren't filled with people asking to get killed.
You can run but you sure can't hide! She-Venom joked as she easily threw the goons everywhere.
Ann! Can we talk? Spider-Man tried to reach Ann but She-Venom ignored him.
"This is impossible! How can I dodge bullets, protect the bad guys from She-Venom and protect She-Venom from the bad guys all at the same time? What happened to the days when being a superhero was easy?" Spider-man thought.
Ann! Ann! Are you in there?! Ann! It's me, Eddie! Ann's ex-husband shouted as he crashed through the gate with the stolen motorcycle.
Just then, Roach with his flamethrower appeared from the manhole and incinerated Eddie into flames.
LD-50 said to incinerate any and all and this sucker fits the ticket!
Who? She-Venom looked at who got burned.
Argh! Ann, help me! Eddie begged.
Eddie? EDDIE! She-Venom yelled as she dropped what she was doing and rushed to Eddie's aid. Eddie! Don't die! She-Venom screamed.
Scope this out, Jelly! Roach put his flamethrower to that dude and sent him to crispy critterville! That stench is rude, man smells like burnt bacon!
Ann… I need the other! Only the alien can save me!
She-Venom began to leave Ann's body but Ann herself hesitated to do so. Yes, without Eddie's intervention, she would've been in custody but after seeing all the destruction and wrongdoings Venom had caused, she pondered if it was really a good idea to hand the alien back. But she thought it was too late, the alien was in control and not her and did she really want to wear it permanently?
Just then the goons interrupted the process, making She-Venom angry. Time to teach you what fear really looks like! She-Venom rushed towards her enemies ready to snap their heads off.
In the nick of time, Spider-man intervened as he took hold of her arms from behind. Let go of us! She-Venom struggled to get free.
Ann! Remember what I told you before, you can control the alien and become better than Venom! It's not too late to change. You just gotta remember who you are! Spider-Man said as She-Venom used her tendrils to escape his hold.
Shut up, we've had enough of your speeches! We will never stop till the day you die! She-Venom sent Spider-Man crashing down into one of the attractions as she hurried back to Eddie who was in a critical state.
Don't worry my love, you'll be healed soon. She-Venom reassured its main host.
"Remember who you are! Spider-Man echoed in Ann's mind."
"Can I really become a superhero? I'm scared I'll be just like him. I don't want to have the alien on me, I don't trust it." Ann hesitated but then her short time with the alien throughout the day flashed before her eyes. "Then again, its powers are really useful and the people I can help" Ann knew then and there what she wanted.
Once again, the symbiote felt itself losing control to its host. What are you doing?! Don't you want to save your lover? She-Venom questioned as it fought for control.
Lover? Eddie is not the person I married, he's long gone!
We saved you! And this is how you repay us! He needs us! She-Venom demanded.
No! You belong to me now and we will do things different from now on! Ann ordered as she suppressed the alien .
Ann… What are you doing? Eddie reached out for the symbiote.
I'm sorry Eddie but I can't let you become Venom again. She-Venom said.
Ok, you bitch! I'll give you a whole of nine millimeter holes! Waste him boys! One of the goons ordered.
Oh boys, you should have learned by now, the fault isn't in the ammunition, it's the ones who use them. She-Venom witted as she webbed a goon and used them to slam his friends.
LD-50? This is Roach, we got a problem, She-Venom beat our guys. Roach informed in fear.
Can't anyone do one thing right! Doesn't matter anyway because I brought the cavalry! Now get off the line! LD-50 shouted as he appeared with several monster trucks and brought some serious firepower.
I see someone changed their mind. Spider-Man commented as he recovered. What can I say, I had a change of heart. She-Venom replied. Are you sure you're up for this? The alien woman asked her temporary partner. Me? It should be me who should be asking you that. Spider-Man remarked..
Both attacked one of the incoming trucks as She-Venom easily bent the chassis using her superstrength while Spider-man webbed them up. Check it out, your number #1 fan is coming! Spider-man pointed towards LD-50.
Funny. She-Venom rolled her eyes as she swung over to the leader. Remember me? It's time we finish our business.
You watch your mouth hahah. LD-50 smiled as another monster truck passed by and one of the goons launched a rocket, hitting She-Venom really hard.
Urghh! She-Venom groaned in pain.
Finish her! I only want to see her corpse once we're done with her! LD-50 demanded.
Time to get ourselves into a neutral corner, She-Venom. Spider-man bantered as he dragged her away from the danger.
Sir! We need to move the drugs and guns to another safe house. A goon suggested.
Ugh! Fine! Our time is better spent in the speedy removal of our "merchandise" from these costumed clowns anyway! Move it folks! LD-50 screamed over the comms.
Back at the house of horrors, one of NYPD's Venom task force agents arrested dealers front and center.
I said drop it! Detective Clark ordered as he shot one of the escaping goons. Where did he go?
There's a hatch that leads down into the bunker that LD-50 uses to store his drugs and weapons. That guy with the flamethrower is probably on his down to warn his boss and make his getaway! Spider-man deduced.
Meanwhile, She-Venom looked at the now deceased Eddie Brock. I'm sorry it had turned out like this but I couldn't let you and the alien reunite. I promise, I'll take good care of the symbiote. Ann promised.
This is the hatch huh? What's this puddle? Gas? Clark pondered.
Spider-man touched the fluid and smelled it. It's jellied gasoline! One of your bullets must have punctured the flamethrower tank. Spider-man figured it out.
I want this merchandise removed now! And exercise a good amount of caution in dealing with those barrels of ephedrine and ether. They're as volatile as they are expensive! LD-50 stressed out.
Yo, Boss! The traitor Jomo cut himself loose and blew!

The cops are up in the haunted house LD-50! They're gonna be comin' down the tunnel any second! Roach warned.

If there really is a big stash of guns and dope down there then we had better go and stop those bad boys before they split with the goods! I'm willing to ignore the presence of a known felon and a notorious costumed vigilante in the best interests of the public if they will help apprehend these dirt-bags! Clark gave the two heroes a choice.

Uh-oh! We better get out of here! Spider-Man commanded.
Spider-Man, Clark and She-Venom all escaped in the nick of time before Spider-Man and She-Venom fleed from the scene so as to not get caught.

Thanks for the help Ann. Spider-Man complimented the newly inducted superhero.
How do you deal with this all the time? What did I step into?! Ann half-hearted joked as she sat down on the ledge of the rooftop.
I'm sure you will get the hang of it sooner or later. I'm just relieved that I won't have to deal with Venom anymore. Spider-Man said as he breathed with relief.
Yeah… I don't think I could have done it without your encouragement. I was scared, these powers showed a side of me I never knew and I thought I would become someone I didn't want to be. But I know now I can control the alien. Ann said.
Well if you need any help, you know where to find me. Spider-Man said as he was about to leave but Ann quickly gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and thanked him one more time.

Spider-man swung away and before long, Ann lost him as he disappeared into the distance. A superhero huh? Never thought I'd put that on my CV. Watch out New York, there's a new crime-fighter in town! Ann declared as she summoned her mask and swung home.
