"It's around 10 PM." Ponyboy's mouth dropped open as he looked at the clock. "Two-Bit you liar!" Ponyboy whispered shouted. Two-Bit held a goofy look on his face and batted his eyelashes. In actuality, it was just 6 PM. Or; Ponyboy goes to the library, and shenanigans ensue.

In the blaze of memory, the embers of trauma never truly fade. For Ponyboy Curtis, every spark ignites the flames of the past.

This is my thought on the Outsiders, 10 years from the events of the book. I have rewritten this a couple of times and I'm pretty happy with this one.

As Steve anticipates the upcoming anniversary of his most pivotal moments, he finds himself exploring the circumstances that contributed to his decisions. At the same time, he also takes a step further in exposing his childhood trauma for the horror it was, which leads to deeper spiritual questions that bring a concept he's never considered to the forefront.

With graduation only a few months away, Ponyboy Curtis is closer than ever to being able to taste freedom from Darry and the gang, but is that what he really wants? After attending a party, Pony stumbles upon something he wasn't meant to, and now he is not only haunted by a man who wants his blood, but by the guilt of lying to his family. Cindy Winston makes a last-ditch effort of extending a hand to her brother. She just has to be sure he won’t take her whole arm with him.

Very few things got under Darrel "Darry" Curtis' skin, and on the off chance that something did, he didn't often let it show. If anyone wanted to get underneath his skin quickly, targeting his brothers would be the best way to go. Try as he might, Darry couldn't always keep his cool, collected mask on when his brothers were brought up, even in passing.
