Dimensional Jumpers make an Impact

June 2016

Dudley, Malcolm, Piers, Gordon, and Dennis were walking home after sneaking into the theater and watching an action movie. As they're walking home, Malcolm notices a strange golden ticket glowing in a nearby alleyway. He picks it up and shows it to the others, who are all enthralled by the strange object. Realizing that it was something magical, Dudley immediately rips it out of Malcolm's hand and tries to destroy it. But the others stop him before he can, tackling him to the ground and taking the ticket back. When they question him to why he was so scared of it, seeing that he couldn't come up with a plausible excuse, he reluctantly admits that he thinks he knows what the ticket is: magical. His friends are hard-pressed to believe him, but Dudley just claims that while he might not know for sure, his cousin most assuredly would! Curious now, the boys decide to accompany Dudley back to his house and talk to Harry.

When they got back to Privet Drive, Harry wasn't around, so they settled in and amused themselves while they waited. Dudley loaded up his favorite tv show (Clone Wars tv show) and soon the others were watching alongside him. When Harry got back, Dudley paused the movie and called him into his room. He showed him the ticket and admitted that he'd been forced to reveal the fact that he's a wizard to his friends. Though annoyed, Harry took the ticket and examined it. He quickly confirmed that it was indeed magical, but like no magic he'd ever seen before. He pulled out his wand and tried to provoke a reaction out of the ticket. What he got was a massive flash of golden light and all of the boys were transported to somewhere else.

The boys appear on the surface of Christophsis, off to the side while Bail Organa is giving his plea for aid. Confused, scared, and awed at what they're seeing, the boys flee the scene and try to find a shelter. They quickly realize that Harry had unintentionally 'activated' the ticket's magic and it transported them to the Battle of Christophsis that had been playing on Dudley's computer when Harry had entered. Harry tries to reactivate the ticket to take them home, but the ticket won't respond, no matter how much power he pumps into it. Realizing that they were stuck for the time being, the boys try to decide what to do now. Before they can fully decide, they are spotted by a troop of battle droids. Since this was an invasion, the droids are programmed to suppress and kill, so they attack the boys. Though caught off guard, Harry is able to easily destroy them and the boys grab their blasters, rocket launchers, and ammo packs.

Now seeing that the only safe place is with the clone troopers, the boys hurry out to clone army. Before they can reach the army's grouping area, the Hyena bombers descend upon the city. As they're taking cover again, Dennis spots a ship (YT-1250) off to the side that's parked on the ground. They rush to it and Harry jumps into the pilot's seat, flipping switches and pushing buttons in an attempt to get lucky and start the ship up. Piers joins him in the copilot's seat to help, Malcolm and Dennis run for the gun turrets, and Dudley and Gordon strap into the seats. Surprisingly, Harry manages to get the ship running and lifts off. Blasting off, he heads up into the sky and tries to escape. However, this act attracted the attention of the Hyenas and droid fighters who quickly launch and try to swarm them. Using only his instincts, Harry starts a frantic dogfight with Malcolm and Dennis shooting them down. Not wanting to be left out of the 'fun', Dudley goes searching through ship's containers and finds a spacesuit. Grabbing a launcher and some rockets, he exits the ship on a cable to take potshots on the Hyenas with the rockets.

Distracted by the bizarre and unexpected battle, Admiral Trench forgets about the cloaked ship as he watches the ridiculous happen before him. But he's reminded about the ship when missiles are launched and hit his bridge, destroying the ship and shutting down the droid fighters and bombers. Quite interested in the new ship (especially since he could sense a rather powerful Force-sensitive aboard), General Skywalker tries to contact the fleeing ship but is unable to reach them because their comm system had been damaged in the battle (among other things). Due to the extensive damage (including the hyperdrive), Harry is forced to turn around and land back on Christophsis. The crash-landing was quite bad, demolishing the ship almost completely. The boys only survived because they'd jettisoned in an escape pod shortly before impact. The boys quickly flee the crash site, knowing that the droids will be closing in on them shortly.

The droids do indeed come upon the wreck but are unable to determine just where the combatants have gone. At least, that's what they were able to report in before the boys ambush them, destroying them too quickly for them to get a distress signal out. Using the droids' transport, the boys head to the outskirts of the city and try to find a place to hide. They spend the next week just trying to come to grips with where they are and what they could do with this opportunity. Most of the boys want to try and change the outcome of the war, preventing Anakin's fall to the dark side, ousting Palpatine, and saving the Republic. But they realize that they don't have the credibility, resources, or knowledge of how to do any of that. The best they decide they can do is just to wing it and see how things turn out. Hopefully, they can manage to affect change in a positive manner, but for now they just want to get involved in the war somehow. It also gets decided for Harry that he should try to get some training in how to use the Force. And since Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker are both probably present on the planet right now…

With that course decided, the boys start to make their way towards the clone compound.
