Blazepanzer here, and a quick thank you for all who have taken the time to read my fanfic! Feel free to fav, follow, review, or just read, whatever you like.
Oh, and happy Forth of July to all of my American friends!
Anyways, enjoy! Note: Blazepanzer does not own Girls und Panzer!
Hanoashi leaned against the wall as she watched the sleeping Miho. I once called her friend, now I call her murderer...she mused, growing more and more pissed at the girl's mere presense by the minute.
"Strawberry shortcake is awesome..." the sleeping girl muttered in her sleep, rolling over.
"Don't try and act like you're the innocent schoolgirl!" Hanoashi growled quietly. Quite frankly you don't deserve to taste anything remotely delicious after what you did, much less this strawberry short cake thingy, whatever that is!
She knew what it was vaguely speaking, but given Hanoashi's SC-type-4 Diabetes, she didn't dare try it. The last thing she wanted was to get so constipated that she had to go to the ER to the the poop sucked out of her ass. It happened, twice, once when she was an infant and another time when she accidentally ate two slices of cake at a party.
"Mhm...is it morning already?" Miho yawned as she rose up.
"How can you act so carefree after what you did? Do you even feel any remorse at all?" Hanoashi asked coldly, glaring at her with malice.
"I do Blaze, I really do...every..."
"Nickname...Nickname..." Hanoashi shook her head. "You may call me Hanoashi or miss Katoni, nothing else according to the rules."
"I'm sorry," Miho whispered.
Hanoashi sighed and leaned up against the wall. "Can't believe I have to alternate between you and Akibe," she huffed. "Akibe I don't mind, given that she reacted on impulse and didn't mean to do what she did, but you?" Hanoashi glared at Miho. "What happened to the girl I loved like a sister? The Sempai I knew I could trust and look up to. The girl who's life I saved after finding her tangled in a barbed wire fence by agreeing to a blood transplant, and thus carried my blood in her body for a while."
Miho let out a quiet sigh in response. "I'm so so sorry," she whispered.
"That wasn't like you Miho," Hanoashi shook her head. "Yes, you were somewhat carefree back in those days, but you'd have never commanded me to drive the T-50 over a bridge like that, or ram it under the Maus like you did with the Hetzer."
"I...wish I had done things differently..." Miho whispered.
"I wish you had stayed the fuck away from Ooarai," Hanoashi shouted.
"Miss Katoni!" one of the guards growled, looking in the door.
"Yes ma'am, I'm sorry!" Hanoashi bowed immediately, realizing her mistake.
"One more mistake from you and you will be staying here a year before shipping out, understand!" The girl on the other side growled.
"Perfectly, again I'm so sorry!" Hanoashi bowed deeply. She only rose when she heard the guard walk off.
"Sorry," Miho whimpered.
"Just...don't even speak to me, please," Hanoashi whispered, before gazing across the room, ignoring Miho for a good hour. "Miho..." she finally sighed.
"Yes?" Miho gazed up at her.
"I'm glad they're not putting you to death though," Hanoashi sighed.
"They are sending me, Noriko, Shinobu, and Akibe to prison for life though," Miho sighed.
"What? But you're a part of the bad company program, Aren't you supposed to be free after five years, max?" Hanoashi gasped.
"We got to chose between the death penalty or five years of bad company in exchange for life in prison," Miho sighed. "That's the deal anyways..."
"Hanoashi?" The guard came back.
"Yes Ma'am?" Hanoashi asked hesitantly, her blood freezing in her veins.
"Change of plans, come with me," the guard noted, opening the door.
To her horror the guard indicated that she should lean against the wall with her hands up. Hanoashi did so, glancing at her questioningly but didn't dare speak.
"You're trial's being held today," the guard informed.
"I understand," Hanoashi nodded, felling a temporary sense of relief before nervousness flooded over her. What if I mess up? What if I don't get the bad company sentence and rather 25 years in prison? I...I can't ask Yukaro to waste that much of his life waiting for me to get out! And I'll never have the children I so desperately want either...
"Good." The guard shrugged, before grasping her by the arm and guiding her down the halls.
It didn't take long for them to reach the makeshift courtroom, usually used to try inmates if they perform a crime within the prison itself. But this trial was already strange enough as it were.
Her wrist swapped to the front, Hanoashi gazed up at the elderly gentlemen in curiosity.
"Hanoashi Amelia Katoni, the charge Ami Chono laid against you has been dropped in light of evidence against her claim. However, you are still charged with one account of assault on an officer, one account of fleeing the police, and one account of fugitively. How to you plead?"
"Guilty with a caveat on the assault of an officer, and guilty on both charges of evading arrest and fugitively." Hanoashi announced.
"And the caveat is something in your legal defense or just for the record?" the judge asked.
"Just for the record," Hanoashi paused briefly. "I have no interest in actually fighting the charge."
"Go on then," the judge allowed.
"When officer Brewster arrested me, he made no notice, no announcement. He just...tackled me to the ground and tried to cuff me. I honestly had no idea that there was a warrant for my arrest nor that he was even trying to arrest me until I had fled and overheard the other officers talking about my assault on Ami and Brewster."
"And why didn't you turn yourself in?" The judge asked.
"Their language sir, it was...some of them were talking about wanting to do awful things to me and I got scared. That's no excuse for me staying on the run like that, but still...that's why I didn't turn myself in."
"Hm...if you could prove what you are saying, then you could get off on the assault charge and the other charges dropped," the Judge mused.
"But your honor...Ooarai was my responsibility, the team that is. My duty as a former team commander and the second most experienced Sensado member, it was my duty to keep them safe," Hanoashi argued.
"And you did your duty in trying to warn them, it was not your fault if they didn't listen," the Judge argued back gently, yet firmly.
"Even so, I failed to convince them and the fact that I had to leave them to fend for themselves. If that failure...my failure...if it caused them to have to face time in prison, why should I be left out?" She closed her eyes briefly before gazing up at him intently. "What is the maximum time in the bad company program?" she asked.
"Five years...but..." He paused, before letting out a small sigh. "Is...this what you really want?" he asked.
"I couldn't sleep with myself if even one of my teammates got out before me, Aside from Miho and those with life sentences." Hanoashi nodded. "Give me the max."
"Very well, but answer me this, when you rank down, who do you want to room with?" the Judge began.
"I...beg your pardon?" Hanoashi's eyes widened.
"Who do you want to room with? We know that Taeko and..."
"Taeko Kondou, sir," Hanoashi affirmed. "But why am I allowed to choose my future cellmate?" she asked, tipping her head.
"You'll see," the judge nodded. "Very well then, Hanoashi Amelia Katoni, I find you guilty on all charges, and sentence you to five years in the Blue Division 444th bad company Spare squadron, Rank 3 prisoner for the first two months, then rank two. No mandate! Dismissed!"
"Thank you sir," Hanoashi bowed, before being lead out of the room.
"Kelly?"
"Yes ma'am? Do I have a visitor?" Kelly rose up.
"Trial," the guard noted, opening her door.
"Already?" she asked.
"Yep! Don't get excited, no one ships out until all the girls are judged, so it'll be a few days."
"Right, I under...wait...shipped out?" Kelly's eyes widened. "You mean I can't stay here?"
"You're being offered a place in one of the Bad Company Squadrons if you want it. Be stupid not to take it," the guard indicated for her to face the wall.
"Mother, Father...I'm..." Taeko glanced down in shame at her parent's disappointed glares.
"Don't you dare refer to us as that!" the older Japanese brunet girl hissed. "You are no daughter of mine!"
"But mother...I..." Taeko gazed downward. "I tried to warn them..."
"Our daughter died the moment she entered that acursed type 89 tank!" Her father hissed. "You are no longer a part of the Kondou family!"
"May I at least see my brother?" Taeko whimpered, tears beginning to flood her eyes.
"What does Hatsu have with you stranger?" her mother growled, and with that, she left the door.
"I'd have rather you rotting in prison you dirty murderer, than get out in five years. I hope you see the twisted faces of those girls you killed in your dreams every night!" her father hissed, before whipping around and leaving the room.
"No..." Taeko whimpered, falling on the ground, sobs erupting from her exhausted body.
Before she knew it she felt a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Hanoashi?" she gasped gently, trying to gaze up at her.
"I'm so sorry...I heard from the guards," Hanoashi whispered.
"I...I was expecting it as well as for it to hurt...but not this much..." Taeko sobbed.
"You have me and Nova, remember?" Hanoashi knelt down, hugging her. "You'll always be a part of the Katoni family, alright?"
"But Nova might..." Taeko began to protest, but Hanoashi shushed her.
"He won't change his mind sis, if he waited for you this long..." Hanoashi smiled.
"I saw the guards take you out handcuffed..." Taeko whispered.
"Trial...apparently I have five years at the 444 th Sensado Bad company Spare Squadron over at Blue Division," she admitted. Rank three for two months and then I go to rank two. No mandate...whatever that means. And..."
"And what?" Taeko whispered.
"It's nothing...I thought that there was another detail, but I guess not," Hanoashi sighed.
"Taeko, I know you're not feeling good, but it's time for your trial," the guard noted.
"Ri...right," Taeko glanced at Hanoashi. "I...I hope that we get to be in the same place at least, if not cell mates," she whispered.
"There's a chance," Hanoashi smiled.
Why does she have a knowing look on her face? Taeko wondered as she was handcuffed and guided into the hall.
Stifling a sigh, she glanced up at the judge in the room, frowning as the russet haired judge glared at her.
"Taeko Kondou, you are charged with nine accounts of accessory to murder, how to you plead,"
"Guilty ma'am." Taeko announced.
"Ah great, we've got a wiseguy here!" The judge deadpanned, rolling her eyes.
"No no, I'm guilty of..." Taeko began but was interrupted.
"Ah ah ah...less speaking, more listening!" The judge mocked. "You're quite the pretty girl huh?" The judge smirked. "I bet the guards would love nothing more than to have access to you for your whole life!"
My hole life...Taeko's eyes widened in fear. You mean I'm getting life in prison! But...what about Nova? What about the promise I...
"Good, now you're finally learning you spoil brat!" The judge mocked. "Unfortunately for me and fortunately for you, I'm forced to send you to the 444 th Sensado bad company spare squadron at Blue division, rank three for two months, then rank two, with no mandate."
Wait...why is Hanoashi's sentence the same as mine? Taeko mused, before quickly ducking her head in shame. "Yes ma'am," she spoke low and respectfully.
"Even though you don't deserve it!" The woman slammed her gavel on the desk. "Case dismissed!"
Well yeah, I don't deserve this mercy, but you don't have to say it like that! Taeko shut her eyes as she was lead out of the courtroom. She reminds me of the judge of the show Judge Judy...
"Father...I'm sorry," Hanoashi whispered.
"It's okay my daughter, I forgive you fully, and I understand that you were just scared," the Irish man soothed, taking her hand gently.
Hanoashi smiled weakly at his gentle touch, the one she thought she'd never feel again. "Seeing me like this can't be easy on you though...I mean this uniform and these handcuffs..."
"It's not easy believe me," Nova sighed, before letting out a quiet hum. "But I'm just glad you and Kelly are alright. I heard that she stayed with you, right?"
Hanoashi nodded. "She and I were good company for each other...still...I...I feel so guilty that she has to stay in prison for just staying with me."
"She could have gone at anytime, yet she stayed with you. And knowing you, you'd have let her go at anytime, right?" Drake questioned.
"I...giving that I didn't want to be alone I'd have begged her to stay, but ultimately I'd have let her go in peace," Hanoashi admitted, gazing down.
"I don't blame you, no one want's to be alone."
"Father...what happened to the Matsumino?" Hanoashi asked suddenly.
Drake simply gazed down. "I promised Rikona that she'd be the one to tell you, I'm sorry but you'll have to wait for her."
"Okay, but something tells me it's bad, right?" Hanoashi asked.
"It's bad, like so bad I don't want you associating with any of them more than three years your senior," Drake hissed.
"Then it's really bad if you don't want me associating with Aunt Shelia," Hanoashi sighed. "Guessing you don't want me calling her aunt anymore?"
"Rikona doesn't even want to refer to Shelia as her mother, bites anyone's head off if they do," Drake admitted.
"So, did Rikona look for me while I was on the run?" Hanoashi asked.
"All I'll say was that Rikona didn't even know you had a warrant for your arrest until a week ago and you can make what you will of that until you see her," Drake spoke in a tone that offered no argument.
"Alright...alright," Hanoashi nodded. "Do...you know about Nova's relationship with Taeko?" She asked hesitantly.
"The girl he dated in America and now want's to marry? The one who, like you, tried to warn her teammates that they were heading for disaster? Don't worry, I wholeheartedly approve of his choice, in fact I'm looking forward to welcoming her to the Katoni family," Drake smiled.
"Well...her family just disowned her about an hour or so ago," Hanoashi noted, her voice dry with anger and sadness for her friend.
"I'll let your brother know. He'll want to lock in their marriage covenant as soon as possible, given she's probably worried that he might change his mind..."
"And getting married as eairly as possible is the best way he can reassure her," Hanoashi finished. "About...me and Yukaro, you okay with us?" She dared to ask.
"More than, I've always trusted him, and having him as a son-in-law is something I've been looking forward to every since I noted you two had such strong feelings for each other."
Hanoashi let out a small blush. "Thanks Father," she smiled, jolting as the buzzer sounded.
"Don't worry bout things, alright? Just serve your time, obey the rules, and you'll be fine," Drake smiled as he released her hand and walked out.
"I will father, I will," Hanoashi whispered as she felt a small sensation on her arm as the guard guided her out of the cell.
She felt a lot better, at least until she found herself being lead down F hall. "It's where we house the prisoners who are heading on out," the guard noted.
"Mmm.." Hanoashi nodded in understanding, gazing uncertainly at the doors. With one being opened, she was shoved in, with the door being shut. Sighing as she realized that she only had a bunk and a toilet, she sat down, and stared at her hands.
Easier said than done though, she sighed, before gazing out of the window.
Four days of boredom.
That's how Taeko felt, sitting in her lonely transfer cell. She still worked in the Laundry with Kelly, and on Computer Repair with Hanoashi, but aside from eating and the free yard, she really never got to talk to the other girls.
"Taeko Katoni?"
"Yes sir?" Taeko rose up, feeling a small rush at her new last name. Better than those Kondou...no, don't think about them! You and Nova are married now under the dis-ownment marriage exception law, so you're a Katoni now! You needn't think of those child abandoning parents of yours!
"It's time," the guard noted. "You'll be heading on out to Foruc detention center for the day, and flown to the Blue Division carrier from there tomorrow morning." she added.
"Right," Taeko nodded as she door opened.
"Go on ahead to the dressing room, you're to wear the clothes you came in as well as taking your belongings you brought with you." the guard noted.
Trying not to puke at the idea of wearing the clothes she had when she was arrested, Taeko followed Hanoashi, Saori, Ayumi, Aya, Akibe, Miho, and Kelly into the room, keeping her distance from Miho.
Ariving in the room, Taeko headed to the locker, which to her horror, was next to Akibe's. I'm still not too sure about you! Taeko growled, quietly taking her prison uniform off, before placing her surprisingly clean in comparison to the blood stained shirt she had last seen.
"I haven't worn something this light in weeks," Akibe mused.
"Same," Taeko sighed, deciding to at least speak to her. "Are...you adjusting to prison?" she asked, gazing at her old friend for the first time.
"I'm just glad you didn't get life Taeko...me and the other's did," Akibe smiled, before frowning. And...I'm sorry about the finals."
Gazing at her, Taeko did realize for the first time that Akibe was actually sorry. The former volleyball player had been trying to apologize to her during the court yard sessions, but Taeko had up until now shoved her away. "It was an impulse, I know that deep down you didn't mean to fire on those girls."
"Maybe...but even knowing that doesn't make me feel any better." Akibe sighed. "Nothing ever will."
"In time...maybe we'll learn to forgive ourselves," Taeko sighed placing her elbow pads on.
Akibe placed her knee pad on, letting out a long gusty sigh. "You deserve another chance at life, to laugh and have fun. Me though...life in prison is what I deserve. Especially after I failed to head both your and Hanoashi's warning. Speaking of...what is she like? I was supposed to room with her but..."
"You'll find out as you'll be riding in front of her in the transport," she guard noted. "Alright girls, you all ready?"
The girls collectively nodded. Arriving at the transports, Akibe was paired with Hanoashi, Taeko herself was paired with Saori, Kelly was paired with Miho, Aya with Ayumi. These are the girls which the 444 th Sensado Squadron contracted huh?
To her horror she was strapped into a roiling chair, along with Saori who has gazing at her, scared and daunted at this new form of restraint.
"Right, as long as you speak quietly, and don't start fighting, you may speak with each other during the transport," the guard announced as Taeko felt herself rolling into position, before feeling a slight sensation in her rear.
"Ah that, the locking mechanism locks in to the bottom of the chair to prevent you from rolling around during the long dry drive. Enjoy the ride girls!" the guard laughed.
Taeko sighed as she felt herself rise in the air about two feet, and then forward into a three wall room. A small barred window gave her a way to speak to and see Saori, who was too deep into tears for conversation at this point. She had no choice but to glance away from her russet haired sempai."
Hanoashi meanwhile felt a wave of calm rush over her as she felt shadow's engulf her, the fourth wall of the transport vehicle closing up.
"Hanoashi...I...I'm so sorry that we didn't listen to you," Akibe whispered.
"It was my and Miho's responsibility to ensure you and the other's knew what you needed to know in order to tank safely, effectively, and well within the rules. I don't blame you for the panic attack," Hanoashi reassured her. "Still don't think you should go unpunished for it, but I think just the five years should be enough in your and Shinobu's case," she added.
"Miho and Noriko?" Akibe dared to ask.
"Miho, definitely not. Akibe, you may or may not know this, but Miho is what us in the co-ed league refer to a Panzerborn. It means one who was born either in a prestigious Sensado family who intents on maintaining their Sensado prowess though the generations or those born to inherent a Sensado participating academy. The point is that Miho...she knew she was being reckless, and not only that, she was warned."
"Noriko was my friend though..." Akibe whispered.
"Yes, and Miho was my friend too. But us commanders are to be held to a higher standard, and while I don't think that Noriko deserves the whole life in prison like Miho, she does deserve longer than the regular cremates do." Hanoashi affirmed.
"How long?" Akibe asked.
"Maybe...seven years?" Hanoashi mused. "No more than a decade though. But I'm not in charge of the sentencing though."
"I...I think that we'd have done better with you in command...you seem strict, but fair," Akibe nodded gently.
"Maybe..." Hanoashi let out a small sigh. "But I'd have had no interest in fighting to save Ooarai."
"Why not! We would have been your friends, your teammates..."
"And many like sisters to me, I know," Hanoashi agreed. "It's not that I'd be unwilling to fight for you, rather it's the fact that schools, their owners, faculty, and in schools with them in such power, their student council's responsibility to keep the school approved by the government and their financial backers. And if they fail to do that, it's not on their Sensado team to bail them out. In fact, we've been through this before."
"What do you mean?" Akibe asked, her eyes widening.
"Yamanobo Co-ed acadamy, consisting of three Stugs, Three Panzer III's, and two Panther's," Hanoashi began. "Due to Yamanobo's rapidly shrinking population, the Ministry of Education declared their intentions to shut their school down. They tried to fight it by telling the officials that if they won the nationals then their school would stay open."
"Did they win?" Akibe asked.
"Let's just say they ultimately lost worse than we did," Hanoashi shook her head. "Oh yeah, they won the finals, but as it turns out they never actually had the promise from the Ministry of Education. In other words, if we assume that the ministry of education was like a parent, the student council of Yamanobo academy was like a young child who ran into their parent's bedroom while she was watching a western, shouted that if they got all A's on their report card that she'd buy him something expensive, say a video game console or new computer, and then ran out."
"In other words, the mother would have no obligations to actually buy it, just how the ministry of education had no obligation to keep Yamanobo open," Akibe nodded in understanding. "And you think our student council did the same thing?"
"Let's just say that it doesn't make sense to close down a school ship, and then to promise to keep it open if a school just won the Nationals. Now if the deal was that they had to win the nationals or at least two smaller tournaments on top of agreeing to take the students and programs from the other schools closing down, then maybe I could see that. After all, I suspect that if the Ministry of Education was going to close down a lot of ships then a lot of students would become school-less, and thus keeping one low performing school open, at least temporarily, would be useful for lessening the shock on the schools remaining open," Hanoashi finished with a small sigh.
"I guess so...wait...you said that Yamanobo lost worse than we did," Akibe asked. "What exactly did you mean by that?"
"Well, their academy closed in 1968. As a result, Kuromorimine brought the tanks and the entire Sensado team to there academy, which was a big issue because while both Kuromorimine and Yamanobo were co-ed at the time, both had a larger number of males on the team. This influx of males caused the more...sexist girls on the team to conspire...and well...in 1969 the Great Schism happened."
"Great Schism? What's that?" Akibe asked.
"The worse incident of fratricide in Sensado history, even worse than what we did at Ooarai," Hanoashi shuddered.
"You mean us, right? Akibe asked. "I mean you had nothing to do with..."
"Like I said before, my responsibility as the second most experienced Sensado practitioner and a former team commander was to make sure that you and the others had the know how to operate your tanks safely and effectively. I failed at that miserably," Hanoashi shook her head. "Anyways, the girls managed to steal guns and capture fighter aircraft, namely Japan's secret Mig 17-AS jets which were held in reserve for carrier defense. Many men died, girlfriends holding them in their arms while the Schism girls let them watch their boyfriends die before tying them up and torturing them as traitors to feminism."
"That's terrible!" Akibe gasped.
"It gets worse," Hanoashi shuddered. "Those Mig 17's, they flew out and attacked any other co-ed team they could, some tanks were bombed in the hangers, others were bombed while out training, bringing the incident from an isolated school ship incident to an international incident."
"Is...that why the co-ed and male schools are so unheard of?" Akibe asked.
Hanoashi nodded. "Two weeks later our hundred thousand man volunteer force came back from Vietnam, reduced to just under nine thousand men. Between the Great Schism and this loss of life, it was decided by the men to leave Sensado, and many of the surviving girls left. Kuromroimine was left alone as a result of many of their own student's dying in the process." Hanoashi shook her head. "A massive mistake as all it did was give Kuromorimine all the ammunition they needed to dominate over the other schools."
"But male and co-ed Sensado teams exist now...how come?" Akibe asked.
"Well, in 1982, with the cold war heating up, Japan decided that she needed to rearm further. Not to world war II levels as that's be seen as too provocative let alone much much too expensive, so a training program similar to the American JROTC programs was enacted. Some sought to get men training in fighter aircraft and some in tank warfare, which later became instrumental in testing our at the time new type 90 tank."
"But not the co-ed league, right?" Akibe asked.
"With the fall of the Soviets, there was no longer a need for the program, however the boys in the program liked tanking, and as thus the government agreed to buy back their newer tanks in return for Sensado regulations world war II tanks. Five schools accepted the offer, with nine other's eventually joining the ranks of the main tournament capable academies, or schools with at least twelve tanks. In 1995, The co-ed schools began building on a near identical program, though hosting their own separate tournament." Hanoashi let out a small pause. "As of now only nine girl's High school are tournament capable, albeit my old school, Nishmari, won't be entering the tournaments until next year."
"Why's that?" Akibe asked.
"Namely due to the fact that that both male and co-ed academies require a half year's worth of training and study before they can even fight in a practice match, and a full year's experiences to enter the nationals."
"We really could have used that," Akibe sighed.
"Rikona, Antony wants you again," one of the guards noted.
Letting out a small sigh, Rikona rose and walked out of the cell as soon as she was decuffed, placing her Blue division three strike uniform on. Aside from having a shield with three lines on it, the uniform was nearly identical to the school uniform. Letting out a quiet sigh, she slammed her door shut in frustration.
"Maus damn you Mark Antony," she hissed, before turning and making her ways through the hall, again.
A riving at his house, he was waiting for her. "Good afternoon love," he smiled in his slow, dry monotone voice.
"Go...good morning," Rikona nodded, not realizing her mistake as she forced herself to remain calm, simply nodding at him as she let herself in. "So, what's this about?" she asked as he walked past her, sitting on his computer chair.
"The new Spares are being brought in, and I must say that they are a rather...interesting group," Antony smirked.
"Hanoashi's among them?" Rikona dared to ask, sitting on his love seat.
"Well now, let me see..." Antony smirked, taking out his Lenovo Thinkpad T520 laptop, and logging on.
"Mark, just tell me!" Rikona hissed.
"Patience beauty," Antony drawled.
Rikona sighed deeply and rolled her eyes in response.
"Such a rude response for such a cutie," Antony laughed.
Rikona shot him a death glare.
Antony smirked. "Now...her last name was Matsumino..."
"Don't you dare!" Rikona hissed, jumping up, but pausing herself before she could actually strike him.
"I'd love to see you try it dear," Antony smirked.
"Her last name is Katoni," Rikona muttered, crossing her arms across her chest in anger, her legs crossing soon in addition.
"Ah, here she is...Taeko Katoni," Antony smirked.
"Hey, what the heck!" Rikona jolted.
"I'm not kidding, come look at this," Antony shrugged.
Rikona let out a small hiss as she rose up, her light green eyes widening as she saw the girl's name on the list. Is...she one of Hanoashi's distant Katoni cousins? Neither of us spend any effort trying to reach out to them...
"So...you had another cousin?" Antony laughed.
"Um...well..."
"Let's see her picture then," Antony mused. "Ah yes...You have pretty cousins, albeit none quite as pretty as you, my dear."
"Does she look Irish-Dutch to you Mark?" Rikona deadpanned. "Clearly she married Drake's son, Nova, she added pointing to her personal info portion of the profile page."
"Ah...the other beloved cousin you tried to keep from me." Antony shook his head. "It's kinda naughty for a wife to keep secrets from her husband, now don't you think?"
"Jerk!" Rikona spat.
"So cute," Antony remarked.
"Hmmph!" Rikona looked away.
"Even cuter," Antony laughed.
"Could you at least tie me up or something I'd like?" Rikona asked.
"Come come now, if you're this standoffish when we just talk, why would you think I'd even consider tying you up. And as much as you may have loved that hobby in the past, I'm afraid I cannot allow you to do that nowadays, babe."
"Liar, you have no issues with the guards handcuffing me," Rikona hissed.
"Well...you are still technically serving a five year prison sentence, even though I can call you to my house for a bit of husband and wife...activities so to speak." Mark then let out a sigh. "But I suppose that once you get out I can consider the leather toy handcuffs if you insist."
"Well it's something," Rikona muttered sourly.
"But in all seriousness Hanoashi is listed here, apparently they dropped the charge of assault on Ami Chono," Antony noticed.
"How long?" Rikona asked, crowing more curious. "How long is she going be be held as prisoner here?"
"Five years, the first two months as a third strike, with you as her cell mate," Antony mused.
"Guess she doesn't have a mandate like me then," Rikona nodded. "Thank Maus, I don't want her in the third strike pens like I'll be for the next five years."
"Four years and nine months, love," Antony pointed out silkily. "And why does it matter if you have a mandate if you get to be called in to have fun with me once and a while?"
"I suppose I could use a bit of a hug..." Rikona gazed downward. Why is it that when he speaks to me it infuriates me, but his physical displays of affection causes me to actually like him?
Setting his laptop down, Antony walked up to her and gently embraced her.
"Mmm...thanks, this is much better," Rikona sighed, wrapping her arms around him, which was a tad difficult considering he was 167 centimeters and she was 187 centimeters.
"By the way...I'm meeting with Hanoashi first," Antony informed her.
"And you always manage to ruin these moments," Rikona sighed. "May I ask why?"
"Because given that she's going to be a commander of our most important Spare squadron tank, I want to get a good gauge on her. How she acts, how she feels, that sort of thing. And also, I want to get her okay to be married to you, after all."
At once Rikona dropped her hands and dislodged herself from his embrace, only for him to gently grasp her hands. Sighing, she gave in. "First, you're way late given we got married a bit over three months ago. Second, even if she said no, it wouldn't matter given that I'm only married to you as a punishment for my crime, in exchange that me and my cousins under twenty and above twelve get another shot at life."
"Yes...Shelia,"
"Don't...mention...her...Hey! Wha..." Rikona's anger melted as he hugged her.
"Well...it doesn't matter now, we're married, so..." Antony smirked. "But what I was going to say was that I had asked for an arranged marriage with you for the past few years and she said no."
Rikona shuddered. "Just how long have you been lusting after me?" she asked.
"Now now, if I just listed after you I would be quite the scum bag, huh?" Antony soothed.
"Really..." Rikona grew limp, hating herself for it.
But he simply let her go as apposed to actually trying to do something to her. "You're a beautiful brunet with an amazing personality, Rikona," he mused.
"I am rather tall though..." Rikona whispered.
"The more of you to live, dear."
"What if I get fat tho?" Rikona challenged.
"Then don't wear a dress that makes you look fat," Antony joked.
"Piss off!" Rikona hissed.
"Mommy, daddy, please stop fighting!" Antony mocked.
"I'm...going back to my cell," Rikona muttered, growing tired of his antics. Her eyes narrowed as he didn't challenge or insist that she stay longer, and she whipped around, and walked out the door, making her way to the misprision.
The nerve of him! Rikona ranted as she was directed to the exercise room. As she had no cell mate, her exercises were different from the other girls, of which there was just Alice, Mika, Asuga, and Fusae.
Gazing at her cousins, she let out a small sigh as neither of them actually talked with each other. Alice had been temporarily paired with Asuga where as Fusae had been paired with Mika.
Hanoashi had been fearful when she learned that she'd be flying straight to Blue Division via private helicopter rather than traveling with the other's. None the less...strapped to the chair and then placed into transport cuffs, she didn't have much choice in the manner.
The ride, meanwhile, was short and uneventful compared to her history lesson with Akibe. She seems really nice, hard to believe that she fired into the Maus like that. Then again...she was in an extreme situation and people do have a tendency to react irrationally in those kinds of situations. If only they'd headed my voice, or the girl's league required half a year's instruction like the coed and male leagues do...this whole situation could have been avoided.
Arriving in the prison, she was placed in a waiting room, her hands cuffed to a table. This is different...I wonder what this is all about?
To her shock however the police walked out and a boy not much different than her in age walked it.
"Hanoashi Amelia Katoni, the legendary detracker in the flesh, surprised to see you arrested at all, let alone here..." He began, circling around her.
"..." Hanoashi didn't have much to say really. He sounds so...irritating! Here's hoping he's just here to talk and not try anything...Is he a fan though...I mean he knows of my moniker of detracker due to how many tanks my team detracted during last year's summer nationals at Nishmari...
"You must be wondering why I, Mark Antony..."
"As in the Roman general and consul Mark Antony?" Hanoashi interrupted.
"Ah yes...very perceptive," Antony circled around again, stopping in front of her. "May...I call you Blaze...Hanoashi is quite the mouthful after all..."
"Do the guards even allow nicknames?" Hanoashi asked, growing quite frightened by his pretentious, tone, and choice of wording.
"Only between visitors and prisoners, not between students and prisoner or prisoners and prisioners." Antony walked up to her.
"You know," he began...
"What are you doing?" Hanoashi's eyes widened as he grasped her hands.
"Hm...not quite as soft as Rikona's, but then again you have been on the run for quite some time," Antony quietly withdrew his hand form hers.
Hanoashi made a withdrawing motion, only to flinch as the cuffs kept her to the table. "What's all this about Rikona?" Hanoashi growled, glaring at him.
"Ah yes...my wife...I know she and I were already married, but I wanted your blessing on out marriage," Antony more or less stated than asked.
"Creep! I don't even know you!" Hanoashi hissed. I hope Rikona is not married to you jerk! She added silently.
"Well...you will get to know me, cousin in law," Antony sighed, walking to the door before opening it. "Send her through processing," he nodded.
Hanoashi glared at where he exited while the officer male same in, briefly rubbing her shoulder before delatching her from the desk, guiding her down the hall, gently shifting his hand down her arm when he thought he could get away with it.
Yukaro, where are you! Hanoashi hissed inwardly, trying her best to not retaliate against his clearly inappropriate PDA.
Thankfully, he transferred her to an female officer, to took her into some sort of dressing room. "Three strike Hanoashi Amelia Katoni, please take off all of your clothes, then grab your daily prisoner uniform and your panties from your locker. The everyday uniform is the clear rain-coat looking dress, your Sensado uniform is the Blue Division uniform and the swimsuit is your exercise uniform." The guard informed her.
Sighing as she took everything off and carried it to her locker, she gagged as se saw her everyday uniform. It was a long sleeve clear coat, with a built in breast pad and a plastic colored groin area. The dress would go halfway between her knees and waist. Sighing, she placed on one of the provided pairs of panties and the uniform, grimacing as she felt the plastic rub against her skin. "Um...what about my civilian clothes?" Hanoashi asked.
"Just put them in the box below the locker, we'll place them in the proper storage." The guard yawned.
Doing so, Hanoashi soon found herself up against the wall, being handcuffed.
"It's getting late, so you'll be sent to your night cell," the guard nodded, guiding her through the halls.
"Night cells?" Hanoashi asked.
"Yeah, third strikes only get to spend the days with their cell mates," the guard laughed, before pulling on her arm. "Here," she notated.
Hanoashi gasped as she saw the cell. "Do I really have to be chained to the bed like this?" she asked as she was lead in.
"Yes, they auto-release at 6AM in the morn," the guard undid her cuffs. "Just...try and endure it for the next two months," she urged.
Sighing, Hanoashi sat down, before laying down, placing her arms and legs in the slots, winching as the guard clasped them shut. As Hanoashi watched the guard leave, she let out a gusty sigh.
And I have to stay like this for two months? She could feel the tears fall from her face and just barely avoided letting out sobs as well.
I hope...I hope this program is canceled...and I'm just glad that Yukaro isn't seeing me like this...or Nova. But...what about Rikona...is she really married to that creep! And why would she choose him out of all the peoeple in Japain to be her husband?
The shadows from the bars barely managed to take her mind off of this bed bondage to allow her to fall into a rather pitiful sleep.
