Alec, Janet, Cecily, Daniel, and Felix were sitting silently in the parlor when they heard a knock on the door, "I'll get it," Cecily said.

Izzy waited patiently at the door, until finally Cecily answered it, "Cecily, I have come to tell your family some news," as she began walking into the house she continued, "Father and Muriel are moving to Halifax!"

Everyone tried to act as if everything was fine, they wanted to give Felix the chance to tell her the news, "No…to Halifax? I can't believe that they are moving! They have never mentioned it before." Janet said bewildered.

"Oh I know, but it would be easier for Father's job and that way Father and Muriel could be closer to Morgan."

Felix began, "You are moving too?" he knew that it made no difference because either way he would have to leave but he didn't want her to think that he didn't care whether she left Avonlea or not.

"No, Father has decided to let me live in the house, that way I can run the store. Besides, I could never leave Avonlea."

Felix walked towards her, "Well, I have some news myself. How does a walk sound?"

Izzy smiled, "A walk sounds just wonderful!"

Everyone knew what this walk was going to involve. Just before Felix left he looked at his father, who shot him a sympathetic look.

Once they were out of the house Izzy gave Felix a kiss on the cheek, "So, what's the news?"

Felix panicked, "Uh…well, I'll tell you in a little bit," changing the subject entirely he continued, "Let's walk by the lighthouse."

Izzy was a bit confused but she decided not to question anything. Instead, she just told Felix of the predicament that she was in earlier with her father and how she could never leave Avonlea…or Felix. Felix tried to listen but he couldn't focus. I didn't know how he was going to tell her that he would have to leave.

Once they finally got to the lighthouse they just stood there watching the waves rise and fall. Felix stood behind Izzy with his arms wrapped around her waist and her head leaning against her chest.

Izzy was beginning to get concerned. Felix said that he had some news but he had hardly said a word about anything, "Felix, what is wrong? You said that you had something to tell me but you haven't said two words. Tell me, what's wrong?"

Felix dreaded the fact that he had to tell her but he knew that he had to. He turned her so that she was facing him. He let out a sigh, "Izzy…you obviously didn't get the paper. You see, there was a certain headline. One that affects me," he paused for a moment, "A draft is being issued for men between 20 and 45."

Izzy froze. She couldn't believe what she had just heard. She began shaking her head and started mumbling, "It can't be," over and over again. "No…it can't…you can't…this can't be true," she said hysterically. All of a sudden she ran. She didn't know where to, but she just had to get away…from everything.

Felix didn't know what to do. He was running after Izzy as fast as he could, but she somehow managed to stay ahead of him. He was hoping that she would turn, but she just kept on running straight. Felix kept on yelling after her, "Izzy! You have to stop, you'll run straight off the cliff! Izzy!"

But Izzy couldn't hear a thing that Felix said. All she knew was that she had to get away from everything. If she had known that she was going to run off the cliff she would've stopped, but her eyes were filled with tears so that there was a film over them. She was hysterical.

All of a sudden she ran right off the cliff. As she kept on hitting the dirt as she was falling she managed to yell, "Felix!" Then she fell into the water. Felix began running faster than he ever thought possible. Felix looked over the edge of the cliff and saw Izzy floating in the water unconscious. Without thinking twice he jumped right into the water.

He didn't feel the pain when his body hit the water, all he knew was that he had to save Izzy. As he floated up to the surface he looked around hoping to spot Izzy. Once he did he swam straight towards her. He was terrified when he saw that her head was bleeding, she must have hit her head on one of the rocks. As he held her in his arms, making sure that her head was above the water he began to panic. He couldn't climb up the rocks, at least not with her. He began frantically looking around, trying to find a spot that was closer to the water. All of a sudden he spotted a sandbar about 50 yards away. He began swimming towards it while trying to keep Izzy's head above the water while using a handkerchief to cover the part of her head that had a big gash so as to stop the bleeding.

When Felix finally reached the sandbar he lifted Izzy up in his arms and started running as fast as he could to Dr. Snow's office. She was still unconscious and her head was still bleeding.

When Felix finally got to Dr. Snow's office he found that the door was open and barged straight in, "Dr. Snow!"
