Horn of Libris
Hi guys, welcome back to the eighth chapter. I have decided to change Prisma a bit, instead of her just being a pack-class, I liked the idea of her being a hybrid between a pack-class and psi, she has the head, neck, and body of a pack-class and the claws and tail of a psi-class, she walks on four legs. So I went back and edited the last few chapters with Prisma and changed a few things, so she is now officially a hybrid dragon, I hope everyone is okay with that.
Before I start the chapter, here's a bit of a description of Prisma, just in case you want to know what she looks like. I should have done this in earlier chapters, so I apologize for not doing it then.
Name: Prisma
Class: She is a hybrid between a psi and pack-class.
Description: Has the head, neck, and body of a pack-class, but has the claws and tail of a psi-class dragon.
Bone Color: A mixture of black and purple.
Father: Unnamed Pack-class dragon (Unknown fate)
Mother: Unnamed Psi-class dragon (Unknown fate)
Skills: Is stealthy like a pack-class, but can be cunning like a psi-class. Loves teamwork and can be temperamental at times.
Scale Color: Her dorsal side is a burgundy color, with the streak going vertically down her body a light blue color and the ventral side a dark purple. She has orange eyes.
Personality: Prisma is the offspring of a psi-class dragon and a pack-class. Her mother, a psi-class dragon, had her eggs destroyed by a rampaging pack-class who did not approve of the eggs from two different dragons. But Prisma's egg was saved by being rolled out of sight and was taken to a stable owner, where she hatched and grew up abused and tortured all for being a hybrid of two vastly different dragons. She never knew her parents and after escaping her cruel life, crashed into Iris Penn and Beau when they were out shopping one day. She was brought back to the stables and her wounds were treated by the family dragon vet, Gwen. She did not trust the humans at first, thinking they would hurt her or keep her locked up, but Beau and Fracshun managed to convince her to give the Penn siblings a chance, as he knew they were good people and his family. Over the two weeks she has been at Penn Stables, she sparked up a friendship with Iris, becoming close as the two of them suffered badly at the hands of someone who they thought loved them, Iris with her mother and Prisma with her owner. The two grew close and Prisma allowed Iris to ride her when Beau was in trouble and a stampede of frightened dragons wreaked havoc in the city. Prisma's wounds are nearly healed, but she will forever have the scars that show her cruel upbringing.
Human rider: Iris Penn
Friends: Beau, Fracshun, Cyrano, Artha Penn, Lance Penn, Parmon Sean, Mortis, Kitt Wonn.
Enemy's Moordryd Paynn, Word Paynn, her former owner, wraith dragons, Propheci, and his dragons.
Gear types she can use: Red, black, light green, light blue, grey, and turquoise gear types.
Onwards we go!
It was a sunny day and out at the crew tents near the all-city track, Khatah, and his partner, Sarjo, were practising their teamwork for the Horn of Libris team race on Khatah's blue draconium energy dragon Shock-ra. Khatah was magged into the air by his dragon as Sarjo directed Shock-ra. After doing an impressive flip in the air, Khatah was placed back on his dragon's back and gave his friend a thumbs up.
Artha stood on the side of his saddle watching the practice with Parm and Lance beside him. "Aw, drac! Check out that teamwork!"
"Oh yes! Khatah and his Inner Order crew are the world champions at the Horn of Libris tournament every year. They never lose!"
Artha adjusted his helmet slightly. "You're just trying to talk me out of racing today, Parm."
"Why would I do that?"
Beau suddenly magged Parm up into the air with a cheeky grin on his face. Parm squealed and yelped at being up so high as Arth chuckled. "Because you're afraid of heights."
Parm was dropped rather unmercifully back onto the saddle, painfully with his legs spread out, so he landed in a very painful spot, falling to the ground with a thud. "This is a big-time race, Parm. And I wanna do well, show Khatah I can hang with him."
"Come on, we can do this! We just have to focus!" Parm shook the dizziness from his head as Lance watched him, and knelt beside him. "Instead of panic." The boy giggled.
"Did you scare Parm by magging him into the air again?" Iris asked as she walked over with Prisma following her. It was the first time the hybrid had been out around other dragons since she was taken in by the Penn siblings.
Iris had been rather unsure about bringing Prisma to the track as she was unsure about how her friend would go around other dragons with her scars on full display and the fact that she would get looks from both people and dragons due to her mixed heritage. Beau and Fracshun had assured her that they were there with her and that if she wanted to go home, to just mag Iris to her saddle, something the pair had come up with in case Prisma wanted to go back to the stables if being out in public became too much too soon.
Beau grinned. "How are you doing, Prisma?"
"Alright, so far. Thank you, Beau." Prisma gratefully thanked the red and blue dragon for his concern and looked around. A green bull-class was walking past and saw her, he stopped and stared. Beau noticed and snarled.
"What are you looking at?"
The green dragon quickly walked away, not wanting to anger Beau anymore by staring at Prisma. The hybrid whuffed indignantly and returned her attention to what the teens were saying.
"This isn't the Katah from your favorite video game. This is the real Katah." Parm explained as he rose from the ground, dusting his clothes off in the process.
"You wanna race like your vid-game gooro, you gotta think like him, stable boy." Kitt walked up to them. "Face it, you're not exactly the best dragon racer out there."
Artha gave her a raised eyebrow as Beau huffed and gave a pout at that comment. "And you'd have better luck magging a practice dummy than your frightened friend over here and…"
"Hey!" Parm was rather insulted by her words before he thought about what she had said and realized that she was right. "Well, uh, actually, she's got a point."
"Look, you're a really good mag-jumper, Artha. And I'm the best racer in the city. If you wanna have a chance today, be my partner?" Kitt offered her hand as Artha hopped down from the saddle. He smiled and took her hand, Beau rested his paw on top of theirs and it made them all laugh.
Prisma's POV
As she watched the teens laugh, Prisma stood by Iris and Beau. She noticed Wyldfyr, Kitt's red magma-class dragon approach from her right. "Hello, I'm Wyldfyr." he introduced himself with a dragon smile.
"Prisma." was all she said as she looked around the area. She was wary because her former owner could find her if she wasn't careful.
"I have never seen a dragon like you before, Prisma. What class are you?" Wyldfyr questioned, looking over her strange body shape.
She hissed at him. "If you must know, I am a hybrid of two different dragons."
"A hybrid? What class were your parents?" Wyldfyr asked, mystified by this news, he's never seen a dragon like Prisma before.
"I am part pack-class and part psi-class."
When he heard the class, psi, his eyes narrowed and he bared his teeth. "What!? Your half psi-class!" he wasn't very fond of psi-class dragons as his mother had been killed by a rogue psi-class when he was a hatchling.
(I have no idea about his parents and am just going to go with this. I hope it is okay.)
He snarled, tail lashing, and Prisma growled, looking ready to pounce on him when Beau got between them, drawing everyone's attention to them. Kitt walked up to her dragon's side. "Wyldfyr, what is it, boy?"
He hissed at Prisma, and Beau snarled at him. "Enough, Wyldfyr, she is not a bad dragon."
"She is half psi, she can not be trusted!" the red magma roared, crouching down as his eyes narrowed.
"Leave me alone, you big yellow-bellied newt!" Prisma screeched angrily. How dare he judge her just because she was half psi. She growled and magged Iris to her saddle, which meant that she wanted to go home. Iris knew what she wanted right away.
"Artha, we're gonna head home. I knew this was a bad idea." then her eyes rested on Kitt, who was patting her dragon, trying to calm him down. "Control your dragon, Wonn. Next time, don't let him judge my dragon just because she is different!" with that, Prisma turned and galloped away from the teens. Kitt had a look of confusion on her face before it morphed into one of anger.
She scoffed. "You need to keep your sister in line, Artha."
But that was the wrong thing to say as he snapped. "You can't say that, Kitt. Wyldfyr didn't like Prisma and I think it might be because she's a hybrid. So don't you dare tell me to keep Iris in line when she hasn't done anything but protect Prisma from people who saw her as a monster!"
He walked away, leaving Kitt and her dragon alone. The racer scratched her dragon under the chin.
"That impure breed can't be trusted, Kitt. She's half psi." Wyldfyr snarled.
Beau had enough. "THAT'S ENOUGH, WYLDFYR! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE PRISMA LIKE THAT! SHE WAS ABUSED, YOU YELLOW-BELLIED FOOL! SHE'S BEEN TRYING TO FIT IN AND BE LOVED CAUSE SHE NEVER HAS BEEN! HOW DARE YOU JUDGE HER!"
He roared loud enough to shake the ground and the teens covered their ears from the force. Beau snarled again at the red dragon. "Don't you come near Prisma unless you want to apologize to her for your unfair judgment!"
Everyone was on edge and the race was due to start in half an hour, if Kitt and Artha didn't get their act together, the race would not be happening.
After a while, Kitt got over her pride and apologized to Artha for her words. Artha accepted the apology but made her promise to apologize to Iris, to which the girl agreed. Now she was seated in Beau's saddle with Artha behind her, standing on Beau's back.
"Okay, Artha. Launch now!" Beau growled and magged Artha up into the air, he wobbled on the stream. "Find the mag-energy stream and balance on it." Kitt directed from below.
"I'm trying." Artha began to topple forward on the mag-stream as his balance gave out on him. "I'm crashing!" he crashed into a tent, hard as everyone winced from the fall. "I'm bruising."
Artha picked himself up as Parm began talking about Katah. "Did you know that Katah is the best and most precise mag-jumper ever!? 98.7% variation. He won his rookie level even before he finished the racing academy." as Parm was fangirling about Katah's achievements, the man himself walked up behind the tech expert.
"Uh, Parm?"
"Yes?"
"Did you know that Katah is right behind you?" Artha pointed out, causing Parm to freeze and spin around, looking up to see his idol staring at him with a raised eyebrow.
Kitt decided to have a little fun with him. "Say hello, Parmon."
"Hello Parmon." he gave a weak wave to the other racer.
Katah bowed to him. "Hello, my name is Katah, but you already knew that. It's so great to meet my fans." Parm stuttered on his words, unsure about how to answer his idol.
"Well, good luck, you will need it." Katah winked at them before leaving. Kitt didn't look impressed.
"Race like him, just don't be a dork like him."
After their interaction with Katah, it was time to line up as the race would be starting very soon. The four racers, consisting of Moordryd, Cain and his dragon Coershun, a sky-class dragon, its rider and their partner, another psi-class dragon, its rider and their partner, and finally Beau with Kitt and Artha.
They lined up along the start line and waited for the gates to go down. The track lit up green, then the gates dropped and the race began! The four dragons ran along the track, headed for a large pyramid structure with many locked gates only accessible by mag-jumping and hitting a target that opened the gate, allowing the racers to go higher on the pyramid until they reached the top, where the horn of libris trophy sat, awaiting the winners!
Shock-ra and Sarjo were in the lead with Katah balancing on his dragon's back. He was magged into the air and skillfully hit the target, unlocking the gate and letting them up to the next level.
"To the next target, Cain! Hurry!" Moordryd ordered his friend, who steered his dragon towards another target with Beau right behind them. Coershun magged Moordryd up to a target and the teen hit it, letting the trio up to the same level as Shock-ra.
"The next target is ours!" Kitt told Artha and Beau magged him up past three long bars. Artha hopped up the first two bars easily, but when he got to the third one, he tripped and fell forward with a scream, slamming into the target with his head. But it still got them up a level. "Well, that's using your head." Kitt joked and Artha grinned sheepishly before he was pulled back onto Beau's back a bit too painfully.
The racers were halfway up the pyramid now, with Shock-ra and Coershun in the lead and Beau one level below them! My father's wraith dragon is in position. Moordryd thought to himself with a smirk. "Now Cain!" his friend pressed a button on the controller he carried in his hand and the two-legged wraith dragon ran past them, heading for Shock-ra.
Parm spotted it with his binocs. "Oh no. There's a wraith dragon on the track." he pressed his comm-link on his helmet. "Artha! You're all in danger," he warned his friend.
"There's a wraith dragon lose! We have to warn Katah!" Artha exclaimed and saw the next target, he was magged into the air and hit the target with his blocking-staff, allowing them to get to the next level. "Nice action, flyboy." Kitt praised as he was brought back to his dragon.
Now they all were on the same level. "Do it, Cain!" Moordryd ordered and Cain made the wraith dragon slam into Shock-ra, reducing his speed. "What's happening? We are slowing down." Katah wondered why they were slowing down, unaware of the wraith dragon.
The mind-controlled dragon slammed into Shock-ra again, knocking him down and sending him sliding across the track on his side. Beau was coming up fast and his eyes widened in shock, slamming on the brakes to try and slow himself down, but it was all in vain as the two dragons collided hard!
The two parties were a bit dizzy from the crash, but no one was hurt. "Katah, are you alright?" Artha questioned, wanting to make sure that Katah was okay. The older man shook his head and glared hard at Artha. "You did this, Artha Penn!" He accused the teen with a sneer.
Artha recoiled from the accusation. "Me?" he hadn't done anything but try to warn him about the wraith dragon. The sounds of cheering drew their attention to Cain, Coershun, and Moordryd, who made it to the trophy and Moordryd was magged up to it and grabbed hold of it. "Yes! I win!" he declared, leaving Katah and Sarjo in despair at having lost the race for the first time.
The man whirled around to face the teens. "I am Katah, horn of Libris champion, and you have ruined everything, Artha Penn!"
Back at the tents, the group approached Katah, with Kitt still in Beau's saddle. Artha held his helmet under his arm. "Sorry, Katah, I was only trying to…"
"Sorry, that is all I get?"
Artha didn't understand what was so important here. "It's just a trophy, you can win it back next year."
"It is not just a trophy! I have to get it back! I am the great Katah, and it is my responsibility!"
"Responsibility? What are you talking about?" Artha asked, confused.
Katah waved him away with a growl. "Ah, you would not understand, you're just a kid. What do you know about being a hero?" he walked off with a huff, leaving the teens confused.
"A hero?" Kitt dismounted the saddle and walked up beside Artha. "Like I said, a dork."
It was nighttime at the stables and the group, including Iris and Prisma, were all sitting in Beau's stall. Once they had returned to the stables, Kitt had approached Iris and asked if they could talk alone. Iris permitted and the two girls walked a little way before Kitt spoke, apologizing for her dragon's behavior at the tents. Iris eyed her for a moment before she accepted the apology, also saying her apologies for telling her to control her dragon more. Kitt offered her hand to Iris, asking for a friendship. Iris was a bit reluctant but agreed to a friendship with Kitt since she needed more than just a dragon as her BFF.
Wyldfyr had approached Prisma and apologized for his behavior earlier, explaining that his mother was killed by a psi-class dragon when he was a hatchling. Prisma took a bit longer, but she accepted, albeit grudgingly.
Artha was leaning against Beau while Iris was leaning against Prisma. "You heard what he said. Getting the trophy back, and responsibility. He's obsessed with the horn." then her green eyes widened and she gasped slightly as she realized Katah might do something terrible.
"I think Katah's going to go after Moordryd!"
Artha stood up. "There must be more to it if Word and Moordryd went through all that trouble to cheat and get it." he pointed out.
"The Inner Order crew vs the Dragon Eye crew, that would be a terrible street war." he gasped. "Maybe that's Word's plan!"
"You have to do your Dragon booster thing, so we can got after 'em!"
"We?" the boys asked, looking at her.
"Timeout." Artha did a timeout gesture with his hands. "You're not part of 'we'."
"Yes, I am. I'm one of the team now." Kitt said with an air of confidence that made Iris roll her eyes. "Besides, Iris could use another girl around here apart from Prisma," she added, looking over at Iris.
The violet-haired teen looked at her brothers and Parm, who were looking at her, waiting for her to speak. "Well, I suppose she's right, I do need another friend."
Artha and Lance were fine with that answer. They wanted their sister to have more friends than just them and Parm, so having Kitt around might help her get out more.
"Uh, why don't we just stay here and call dragon-city security?" Parm suggested, getting back on topic.
"Dragon-city security doesn't go down to squire's end, besides, they don't know where Moordryd Paynn's dragon eye compound is." Kitt pretended to study her nails as she side-eyed the boys. "Do any of you?" she asked coyly.
The boys all looked at each other, none of them knew where Moordryd's compound was. Kitt smirked at her victory, so the team would need her after all!
"Does this mean we have to follow a girl?" Lance asked, causing Iris to glare at him. "Excuse me?" she gave her brother a raised eyebrow. "What is wrong with Kitt leading us to the compound?"
Lance looked away, but he wasn't happy about it. "Aw, yuck, it does! We gotta follow a girl." he rolled his eyes and Iris smacked him lightly upside the head.
"Ow, Iris!?" he rubbed the back of his head, glaring. "That was for being rude, Lance Penn." Iris admonished him sternly. Her brother kept rubbing his head but remained quiet for the most part.
With that information, the teens saddled up their dragons and followed Kitt through the city. They decided to head to higher ground to get a scope of the compound.
On a building overlooking the compound, the five teens peeked over the edge of the building. Beau then pushed his large head between them, forcing the teens to duck. Artha grabbed his dragon's cheek and yanked him down so they weren't seen. Prisma lightly smacked his head.
"Keep low, Beau, lest you want them to see us!" she reprimanded her friend with a hiss.
Artha peeked his head back up and as he scanned the compound, he noticed Katah and Sarjo creeping along one of the bridges outside the compound, preparing to sneak inside and steal the trophy. "Katah!"
The two men looked up and saw a hole in the wall above them. Sarjo turned around and gave a hand signal to Katah, who ran towards him, at the last moment, Sarjo braced himself and grabbed Katah's hands, the two lifted into the air by the momentum of Katah's jump and they flipped up into the hole, landing on the edge easily.
Kitt and Iris had poked their heads back over the edge with Artha. "We'll have to go in after them. I gonna need your help with some of those maneuvers." she looked at Artha, who looked at Iris.
"Will you come with us, Iris?" he asked his sister. Kitt frowned, why did they need Iris?
"Why are you asking Iris?"
"Cause she is an expert at sneaking around, we'll need her help with this mission," Artha explained to the blue-haired girl, who still looked a bit confused.
Parm and Lance stood with Beau and Prisma. Lance knew about Iris' sneaking habits since she would always sneak around on eggshells when she was living with her mother as a young girl and even now when she snuck up on her brothers, they got a massive fright due to her being so quiet. Lance walked up to Iris. "Be careful in there." he hugged his sister, who returned the hug.
"I will, Lance. You guys stay on comm-link just in case we need help." Artha, Kitt, and Iris were magged down to the same bridge Katah and Sarjo were on.
Kitt stood by the wall as she waited for Artha to finish stretching. Once he was done, Kitt asked, "Ready?" the boy ran towards her as Iris stood back and watched as her brother and Kitt performed the same move as Katah and Sarjo, only Kitt was able to land perfectly on the wall, Artha missed the edge entirely and crashed into a garbage can, his legs sticking out. "Nice landing," Kitt praised sarcastically.
"Gee, thanks."
She helped him out of the garbage can and both climbed back onto the wall, kneeling and holding out their hands for Iris, who ran towards them and leaped up, grabbing hold of their extended hands and she was pulled up onto the wall.
Inside the compound, Sarjo and Katah made their way towards the doors leading inside, they were stealthy, but not stealthy enough as Sarjo was pinned to a large speaker with green trapping gear. "Sarjo!"
Suddenly, two spotlights were shined on Katah, exposing him to the compound and three members of the Dragon Eye crew began to surround him. Katah wasn't deterred and charged for Cain, intending to kick him with his martial arts skills, but a drain whip wrapped around his chest, yanking him to the ground! "Well, what do we have here? The famous Inner Order crew, stealing? What has this world come to?" Moordryd questioned.
Despite his energy being drained, Katah glared daggers at the teen, who just smirked at him. "Take them away. Lock the place down. There could be others." he ordered Cain and two other members, who took the pair to be locked up for the time being.
Alarms started to go off from the break-in by Katah and Sarjo, the whole place was now on high alert for anyone else that might be lurking nearby.
Perched on a massive statue of Moordryd's head. Artha, Kitt, and Iris were peering down at the chaos. Spotlights were searching for potential robbers as the crew members were running around and searching. Kitt looked over at Artha. "So, what do we do now, Dragon Booster?" she asked.
"Psst!" Artha and Kitt looked behind them to see Iris holding open a panel that led into the statue itself. "This way." she directed and both teens crawled over to her, making sure to avoid the spotlights and the trio crawled inside the statue.
They now stood where the eyes were and looked like the eyes had iris's as they listened in on Moordryd below. "Is the horn safe?" Word asked once Moordryd had activated his wrist-com.
"In the vault as you…commanded," Moordryd said with a tilt of his head in the direction of the vault. "Good. I'm sending a team of wraith dragons to escort you and the horn to my location. I caution you, do not use the horn of Libris, you do not want to call a grey-bone dragon unless you know how to control it. An angry Libris will be ready to start a battle, I want him to start a war!" as this was being said, the trio made the eyes move left, then middle, and then finally cross-eyed until Artha stood on the same side as Kitt while Iris stood on the other side.
"Drac, this Dragon Booster thing is serious," Kitt spoke softly as she looked over at Artha. "You have no idea."
In their temporary prison cell, Katah threw a small barrel at the window, trying to see if he could break the glass, but the energy around the area sparked and didn't do any damage at all.
"Hey?" a voice called softly and Katah turned around to see Artha, Kitt, and Iris peering down at them from the ventilation. "Up here."
Katah did not look happy to see them. "Oh great," he said with an eye roll.
"Great? I came here to help you."
"I don't need a kid to help me, I am the great Katah."
"You have no idea what you're mixed up in, Katah. The Horn of Libris is more than just a trophy. We don't know all the details, but we heard Moordryd say that if the horn is used, some grey dragon named Libris will appear." Artha explained as Kitt poked her head in.
"And start a dragon-human war. Is that important enough?"
Katah slumped forward slightly. "So, now you know why I must get the trophy back, why my crew is counting on me." he patted his chest for extra emphasis.
"We are here together, heroes don't work alone." Artha extended his hand for Katah, who thought it over before deciding it was better to work with the teens and he grasped Artha's hand with a smile. He and Kitt helped them up into the vents.
"Alright, we'll follow Iris. None of us know this place well, but we can sneak around and who better to lead us than the master herself." Artha complimented and Iris blushed at the compliment but nodded and led the way through the vents.
Outside the compound, Parm was explaining something tech-related to Lance while the dragons stood nearby. Prisma was worried for Iris's safety and wanted to go inside.
"I don't like this, Beau. What if they get hurt?" Prisma worried for her rider, Artha, and even Kitt.
The red and blue dragon nuzzled her gently. "They'll be okay, Prisma, I promise," he assured her just as Lance said, "You do know that I'm ten, right?"
Back inside, the group of teens split up, Kitt took Sarjo back outside while Katah, Artha, and Iris continued to the horn. Artha got ready to kick a grate down, but Iris stopped him. "We are meant to be sneaking, not announcing ourselves to the entire compound!"
The boys understood her logic and she walked in front of them, grasping hold of the grate with both hands. Katah helped and together they lifted the grate out of its place, leaning it against the wall and stepping out into a hallway.
But even with their silent entrance into the hall, alarms still sounded around them. "They must be motion sensors!" Iris exclaimed as Cain and the same two members from earlier, plus one other, came charging down the hall towards them.
"Run!"
The trio ran down the hall as the crew members chased after them. Outside, the alarms could be heard and that had Parm and Lance worried. "Oh, this is very bad. I'm afraid Artha, Kitt, and Iris are in grave danger."
"Not on our watch!" Beau and Prisma said in unison as they charged for the wall and leaped clean over! "Beau! Prisma!" both boys called for the two dragons that had gone after their riders.
A banging sound was heard and a vent fell in front of them, showing Kitt supporting Sarjo. "Over here, help me with Sarjo? I'm going back in to help Artha and Iris."
"We're coming with you." the boys would not be left out of this one!
Artha, Iris, and Katah ran down the hall as the dragon eyes chased them. They entered a room and slammed the door, holding it closed with their bodies, but even that wasn't enough as the dragon eyes tried to get inside and capture them, and with the door crooked, it wouldn't close properly!
"Hold them back, I will get the horn!" Katah ordered them and left.
"You? What about us? Katah?" Artha yelled as the man disappeared around a corner. On the other side, Cain and three of his crew members were trying to get to the brother/sister duo.
"Come on, get those stable brats." Cain sneered before twin roars of fury sounded behind them and they were blasted away by Beau and Prisma. Iris noticed the gold and mixture of purple and black glow behind the door. "I know those glows! Artha, it's Beau and Prisma!" she revealed to her brother and both of them opened the door to see their dragons waiting for them.
Iris ran over to Prisma, hugging her snout. "Hi, girl. Thanks for coming to get me." she thanked the hybrid, who purred and she was magged into her saddle as Beau did the same for Artha.
Katah crept towards the room where the horn was located in the vault. He made his way to the horn, reaching out to grab it, he could almost touch it with his fingers when a drain whip wrapped around his wrist, starting to drain his energy as he screamed. "Looking for something?" Moordryd questioned, cackling as his whip continued to drain Katah's energy.
Artha and Beau transformed into their booster forms and jumped into the room, snapping the line of the whip as Katah lay on the floor. "No!" Moordryd had the horn under his arm.
"Katah, are you alright?" Iris asked as Primsa leaped into the room with Beau, the black and gold dragon gently nudging Katah to wake him up. While that was happening, Moordryd snuck away and locked the door behind him, preventing the others from getting out via the door.
"Scales, the door's locked!" Iris snapped.
"But not the walls." Dragon Booster answered. Outside, Moordryd ran towards Decepshun and mounted her saddle with the horn, he heard a roar and saw Beau smash through the wall with Iris and Prisma behind him.
"You got the trophy, Paynn, but you just lost the race."
Moordryd smirked at him and held up the horn. "Don't do it, Moordryd! You can't control a grey-bone dragon!" Iris tried to talk him out of blowing the horn to call Libris, but he didn't listen to her. "Neither can you!" with that, he blew into the horn, producing a shrieking screech that echoed all around! Iris slapped her hands over her ears, the sound was horrible!
Suddenly, a roar, much louder than a normal dragon roar, sounded from outside. Iris's blue eyes widened in horror, Libris was coming!
"You've just caused another war!" Iris growled to Moordryd, glaring.
"Well, I know what I'm doing now! Getting out of here!" Moordryd put his helmet on and urged his dragon into a run, but Katah, having recovered from the energy drain, tackled the white-haired teen from the side, knocking him out of his saddle and onto the ground, his helmet fell off in the chaos and the horn slid over the edge and landed with a thud onto a lower level of the compound.
"This is not over, Paynn!" Katah declared.
The teen laughed. "No, but it will be shortly."
A small puddle of water that Lance stood in front of rippled with each mighty thud of footsteps that sounded like it was heading toward the compound. Lance stared at the water in confusion, not seeing the massive grey dragon that loomed overhead until the shadow covered him completely. Libris broke part of the wall, sending debris raining down and scaring the young boy. Libris roared and Lance was frozen with fear!
"LANCE!" a voice screamed and he was grabbed by the arm and pulled out of the way as Libris placed a massive foot down where he had just been standing.
Parm and Cyrano were being chased by Libris and the large dragon's eyes glowed green as he focused on the draconium within Cryano and Parm. Kitt and Wyldfyr raced up and Kitt had her dragon crash into Libris' foot, enraging him. He snarled and started to chase her, his eyes took on a red colour and he used the red draconium to mag Kitt from her saddle and throw her to the ground.
Seeing the danger, Iris quickly set Lance on a high ledge. "Stay here and don't move." Prisma took off and slid in front of Kitt, roaring.
"If you want her, you'll have to go through me, Libris!" the cross-breed screeched. Libris roared back, his right eye changed to purple while his left became black.
"Iris, Prima, both of you stand down now! Libris is using your own draconium against you, if you fight, he'll fight! That's why the grey-bone dragon is so dangerous, he uses your own power against you!" Dragon Booster called to them, urging them to back down.
Prisma snarled, but she backed off, knowing it was the safest thing to do. Libris' eyes returned to normal before the sounds of fighting drew him to look over at the stage where he saw Katah and Moordryd sparring with each other. Seeing the fight, Libris approached them, growling.
"Katah, Moordryd, stop fighting!" Dragon Booster shouted, trying to get the pair to stop, but they didn't listen until Libris was towering over them, snarling menacingly.
"Forget the horn of Libris, Katah, this isn't about you and the horn, this is about us and Dragon-City and the whole world! We need your help right now! Stop fighting!" his words got through to Katah and he dropped his staff honorably.
Moordryd looked like he was going to drop his staff, but when Katah turned away, he raised it to hit him. Libris turned his full attention to the teen and his eyes changed to black. Moordryd shook with fear and finally dropped his staff. Beau let out a loud and ferocious roar. "LIBRIS!"
Libris turned his attention to Beau and faced the black and gold dragon. "I won't fight you." Dragon Booster declared, refusing to fight. Libris unleashed a massive roar that shook the ground!
Beau glowed and his star mark shot out a stream of golden energy that split into seven streams and each stream went into Kitt, Parm, Lance, Moordryd, Artha, and Iris.
Each of them began to glow their respective color, red for Kitt, blue for Lance, green for Parm, black for Moordryd, gold for Artha, and finally a mixture of black and purple for Iris. Streams of their energy flew out of them, flowing into Beau as he glowed brightly and transferred the energy into Libris.
Beau began to glow the different colors, first blue, then red, green, black, purple and black, gold, and finally grey. While that was happening, Libris screeched, trying to break free as Parm explained what was happening. "Beau is trying to balance Libris' energy."
"Libris is too strong!" Lance cried.
Once all the colors had vanished, Libris, breathing a little heavily, lowered his head down to Beau, looking much calmer than he had been before.
(Again, no idea what they are saying, but I'm just winging it, lol!)
"You restored my balance. Thank you." a grateful Libris thanked Beau for restoring his energy balance.
"You're very welcome, Libris."
"I am sorry for causing so much damage."
"It's alright, Libris, me and the Dragon Booster can clean things up here."
"The black and gold dragon of Legend!" Libris bowed to Beau, who stood tall and proud before the massive dragon ran off.
"Drac!"
"You restored his energy balance!" Parm grinned as he, Lance, Kitt, Iris, Artha, and their dragons all watched Libris leap over the wall and disappear. Dragon Booster grinned and patted Beau's head, proud of him!
After the whole Libris fiasco, Katah held the horn in his arms as Kitt called out to him. "Katah!?"
The other teens, including Iris, walked over. "Are you alright?" Parm asked him.
"Where is Dragon Booster?" Katah asked, the teens looked around, pretending to wonder where the hero had gone as Kitt just shrugged her shoulders.
"Hey guys," Artha called as he walked over with Beau.
"Artha, are you okay?" Iris asked, happy to see him again. "I'm fine, Iris. The Dragon Booster made sure me and Beau were safe."
Artha then saw the horn. "Oh, it's the horn of Libris. You know, we should get this to Dragon-city security," he suggested and Katah agreed with a nod of his head.
"Where were you? You missed everything. We just stopped the grey-bone dragon with Dragon Booster." Kitt asked with a coy look.
"Ah, I missed him again? Scales!" Artha put on a show to convince Katah that he had missed the hero and not been there for the fight.
"Yeah, he also said we made a pretty good team," she added, which got, Lance, Parm, Iris, and Beau all nodding their heads.
"Oh, really, he did? When did he say that?"
Katah took this moment to apologize for his actions. "I owe you an apology. Artha, you were right, heroes need help to be heroes, united we stand!" he held out his hand in the middle of their little circle and everyone put their hands in together. "Divide we…" Beau put his paw in, but it proved to be too much weight and they all fell inwards, bumping heads.
"...Fall!" Artha finished with a groan before everyone started laughing.
All done, please enjoy!
