Hey fans, I'm sorry for the late upload, I had a little writer's block and also I was working on 'Animals We Have Become' and 'Turtles and Transformers'.
Some scenes in this chapter feature characters and Events from Tyroth Darkstorm's Fanfic 'Mutant Vigilanties' and my fanfics 'A Dangerous Captive' and 'Sharks and Ninjas'.
If you haven't read them, I suggest you do otherwise you may not understand or get the references in this chapter.
Chapter Sixteen
Waking up
Hours passed in the Foot's Laboratory.
Dr Arden barely stopped to rest as he was so focused on his project.
He worked hard on the details as sparks flew up from Hanako's body.
All the while the other scientists watched him as well as typed on computers putting in commands as well as handed him the tools he need.
They were all shocked by Hanako's appearance after she had been salvaged from the destroyed warehouse and they along with everyone else at the Headquarters felt a sense of pleasure knowing that Pandora was deceased, yet some did fear that the Hamato Clan would retaliate, especially Raphael and Monalisa as they knew they would be feeling the hunger of vengeance.
"If this goes well." Dr Arden smirked as he hovered over Hanako's body "Imagine what else I can do! Especially with those deceased! Or even with Shredder should he never awaken from him coma."
He looked over to the stasis coffin that still held the alien head of Shredder within before looking back at Hanako.
The burnt side of his face wrinkled horribly and the flashes from the sparks on the table as he worked on Hanako's body made him look even more hideous.
"Hopefully she will be an improvement over that traitorous Coral! Just like I was an improvement after Stockman and Chaplin!" he snarled as he thought of the Coral snake, formally Izo Ren who had turned on them those years back as well as Chaplin and Baxtor Stockman.
He kept on working until he finished the final pieces and stepped back.
He smirked as he gazed at his handiwork.
There on the table lay Hanako, her body was completely transformed.
Her whole body from her neck down to her feet was black and grey metal and steel, and wires were attached to parts of her that fed chemicals and electricity into her.
Her eyes had been replaced with synthetic optics and she had claws on her fingers.
The only parts of her that remained that she was once human was the left side of her face which was scared and burnt almost like Dr Arden's own face and her ebony hair.
Dr Arden licked the burnt side of his face as he admired his work then took out his phone to text Arashi and Boss Kodama to come down and look at his masterpiece.
At the same the Venomous Five, despite being told they were dismissed, they couldn't help but linger behind from the next room to watch the Doctor at work.
Komodo Dragon was standing by the door looking in whilst the others stood behind waiting impatiently.
"Well?" Cobra hissed "What's going on in there?"
"Yeah! What's happening?" Gila Monster asked.
"Shut up you morons!" Komodo Dragon growled "I'm trying to listen!"
Cobra hissed yet Black Mamba kicked her foot, and she bared her fangs at her black scaled rival.
Nile Monitor growled at the snakes to pack it in then walked over to Komodo Dragon.
"Do you think the doctor has made a good idea?" he asked, "Apart from us, his other experiments were either a failure or turned on us!"
"Failures like the Vampire Bats that Halloween?" Komodo Dragon asked "Or the Dragon clones and Hybrids after he kidnapped Tyroth?"
"Cannon Fodder!" Gila Monster snarled.
"And what about those mutant Meg Sharks? And the Sea creatures before they were slaughtered by those turtles and those lizards?" Black Mamba remembered "From when that freak professor requested to join us?"
"Uggghh!" Nile Monitor hissed "I still got a vile taste in my mouth from that experience!"
"Even though his failures were delicious?" Cobra asked as she salivated at the memory.
"Mmmm, that I can agree." Black Mamba said, "I do remember how good traitors tasted!" she licked her lips.
"Likewise!" Gila Monster hissed.
"Guys!" Komodo Dragon snapped looking over then stepped away from the doors.
As he did that, a male scientist opened the door and the five reptiles stood to attention.
"V5." He said, "The Doctor wants you back in the lab," he reported "Right now!"
Komodo Dragon nodded and bowed and the other Venomous Five followed suite before walking back into the laboratory.
No sooner did they do so than they saw Hanako's body on the table and they gasped at the sight of her.
"Yeesh!" Cobra hissed.
"Sure not the pretty princess we saw before!" Black Mamba commented.
"Put together like Frankenstein's Monster!" Nile Monitor stated.
Dr Arden looked over at the reptiles and glowered.
"None of your lip!" he snarled "Keep your forked tongues behind your teeth! Master Arashi and Boss Kodama will arrive soon!"
The Venomous Five growled and hissed but they obeyed Dr Arden and stepped back just as the doors opened and Izo Arashi and Boss Kodama arrived.
"Doctor?" Arashi asked "How is progress on Hanako?"
Dr Arden smirked.
"I have managed to put her together, Master, though as you will see, she is not what she looked like before..."
Arashi walked over to the table to observe the now completely cyber-formed Hanako, Boss Kodama not far behind.
He stroked Hanako's head as well as the burnt skin.
"Pity you're not going to be as use to me in the bedroom anymore." He sighed looking at her now metal covered breasts and the fact she had no crotch "But you will still be of use to me in this new form, if you live again."
"So, she has been modified." He said, "Yet will she live again?"
"That remains to be seen Kodama..." Dr Arden said, "Putting her together was the first challenge, but now we're ready to begin the procedures to bring her back."
"Do you think she'll remember anything?" Arashi asked.
"Or even remember us?" Kodama chimed in.
"Even I do not have their answer." Dr Arden said as he looked Hanako over.
"Even with all the connections and wiring I have done to reactivate her brain; I cannot know what might happen."
Arashi nodded understanding.
"Very well William." He said, "You may begin the next stage."
Dr Arden nodded back at his Master, then turned to his fellow scientists.
"Ready the power!" he said to which they nodded and started to throw switches and the machines began to whirr and light up as the wires connected between them and started to feed into Hanako.
Dr Arden licked his teeth and narrowed his eyes as he watched.
"Work...work... work..." he whispered to himself.
The Venomous Five hung back and blinked as many flashes appeared and the machines whirred.
"The Master has created the lady Frankenstein Monster!" Cobra hissed.
"Quiet spitter!" Komodo Dragon growled.
After a few minutes the machines died down after the procedure was completed and there were some hissing and fizzing sounds, then all went quiet.
Dr Arden glared and looked at Hanako still laying on the table.
Arashi and Kodama also watched in anticipation then they saw Hanako twitch and stir, then she gasped as she took her first breath and arched her back.
"Hanako?" Arashi asked in shock.
Kodama meanwhile blinked and stepped back, but Dr Arden grinned in excitement and looked to the celling.
"She's Alive!" He cried "Alive! She's Alive!"
He started to laugh manically in triumph.
"I did it! I did it!" he cheered to the heavens "I can bring back the dead through science!"
Hanako meanwhile after she had taken her first breath, she opened her now cybernetic eyes and they glowed a red blood red...
Meanwhile on a plane high in the sky, Kemeko lay on Leonardo's lap whilst the turtle stroked her hair.
Yet her peaceful slumber didn't last long as she jerked and opened her eyes.
"NO!" she cried.
Her cry caused Leonardo to jump, and he looked down at his adopted daughter.
"Kemeko?" he asked "Lotus Blossom?"
Kemeko looked up at her father and blinked.
"Dad?" she asked.
"Are you alright Lotus?" Leonardo asked concerned.
"I think so..." Kemeko said sitting up and clasping her hands, her face was pale and there was a cold sweat on her forehead.
"The nightmares?" Leonardo asked in a worried voice "They're not back, are they?"
Kemeko shook her head.
"No..." she said "But...I'm still worried about Pandora."
Leonardo sighed.
After they had been told of Pandora's disappearance, they wasted no time in preparing to return.
They hadn't done the long trek like they did going to the Home of the Ancient One, but rather they found the nearest road then hitchhiked in the back of a delivery lorry which they knew would lead them to Tokyo and back to the international airport.
They then had to make their way to their plane which would fly them back to Chicago which meant trying to get to the aircraft then get onboard without the airport staff seeing them.
Luckily it was night-time when they arrived at the airport, and it was easier to the stick to the shadows until they made it to the plane.
All the while, Kemeko was clutching at straws as she thought of the possible fate of her cousin.
"She can't be dead dad; she can't be dead!" she kept saying "I know my cousin! My honoured sister! She's out there! She's still out there!"
Leonardo didn't know what to say, and he felt bad as he always knew what to say to his daughter when it seemed like the end of the world.
But this time he felt helpless, as he didn't know the answers to any of her questions, and he wanted as much as her to know if Pandora was dead or alive.
He stroked Kemeko's hair again.
"Lotus." He said, "I hope and pray to the Gods and the powers that be that Pandora is alive and out there," he said, "I cannot promise anything yet child, but when we get back to Chicago, I will do what I can to find her, we both will, and we will bring her home."
"You hope so daddy?" Kemeko asked.
"I do." Leonardo said.
"Then I will hope too." Kemeko said "I will pray and hope that Pandora will be found, I love her so much! Despite her recklessness and her antics, she's always been there for me! She's looked after me and protected me!"
"I know sweetheart." Leonardo said, "She is the most loyal person we know." He stroked Kemeko's hair, particularly the white streak that hung in front of her forehead, yet Kemeko looked down and he saw a couple of tears fall which he reached out and caught.
Tears filling his own eyes, he prayed again.
"Ancient One, Yoshi, Tang Shen, Karai, Chaplin, hear my prayer, watch over Pandora..."
Meanwhile, Kemeko stared at her hands as the tears fell.
It was true, she was scared that something had happened to Pandora, but there was something else.
Despite the nightmares about Shredder and her dead mother had been banished along with her guilt over what had happened at the Foot Headquarters, but she couldn't shake away the feeling of dread she had inside.
There was something stirring, something related to the Foot, yet she could not be certain, whatever it was, it wasn't pleasant and if she knew what it was, she had to be ready for it and so would everyone else.
He's done it...Dr Arden has brought Hanako back to life, and as a Cyborg! What will the consequences of this experiment be?
Also, Kemeko and Leonardo are on their way back to Chicago, and Kemeko's got a terrible feeling something else is about to happen...
