Coffee mug cupped in both hands Santana leaned against the kitchen island her eyes closed "Good morning sister." Quinn called entering the room "Are you once again thanking your ancestors for coffee?" Quinn chuckled watching Santana drink her coffee with her eyes still closed.
"Yes, just like you thank the guy that first decided to fry bacon." Santana said finally opening her eyes.
Covering her yawn Quinn nodded in agreement before ducking into the refrigerator, their kitchen was stocked with their favorite mortal foods but their private wine cellar held the food and drink of the gods."So breakfast meeting with their club's security guy or just regular meeting?"
Stretching Santana shook her head "I mean they'll be donuts and coffee but I'm looking over blue prints and installing better cameras and equipment."
"Don't forget we have the dance class tonight." Quinn called over her shoulder.
"It's in my phone." holding up her cell phone Santana continued to drink her coffee. "Security guy might need your match making skills so if you want to come by the office feel free."
"I will." Quinn nodded, Santana always sent Quinn people's way, she didn't like to deal with the love stuff but Santana didn't want them suffering the loneliness she had endured either.
"I'll make sure you have at least one maple bacon topped donut." Santana promised taking her coffee with her back to her room to get dressed.
Having lived many centuries, with many identities, the girls could easily live very comfortably as could the other gods. It was easy to see which side of the penthouse was Santana's and which was Quinn's, while they shared the common areas and their styles blended their personal bedrooms were a stark contrast starting with the halls that lead to their rooms. On Santana's side it was a mix of ancient Mayan and Aztec the Greek stayed in the living room, she kissed her fingertips, reaching out as she walked to her room she tapped the Mayan icon hanging on the wall that represented her mother Mayan love goddess Ixchel. Truthfully her mother was more than just a love goddess but it was what she was known for most in modern time, it was her beauty that had brought Ares to her, eternally youthful she was the most beautiful of her gods, Santana had inherited her features including her coal black eyes and sable hair.
Quinn smiled she didn't have to watch Santana to know what she had done, the Latina did it every time she went down the hall, Quinn had a modern photo of her with her mother on the wall that lead to her room, Quinn didn't like the nude or partial nude statues of her mother in their house so their weren't any, there were a few busts that were simply Aphrodite's head but nothing nude.
Quinn prepared breakfast while Santana got showered and dressed, it was how they always did things, they would eat breakfast together and then Quinn would get ready while Santana loaded the dish washer.
Carrying her suit jacket Santana walked straight to the coffee pot for a refill, hanging the jacket on the back of a chair she waited, she knew Quinn would have something to say. "Your hair looks beautiful today Santana." Quinn smiled, normally the Latina wore her hair pulled back in a hi ponytail, but it was down, loose and wavy. "And your shirt is perfect." Both girls perfected red, though Santana's was always the deeper and darker of the two, but it was a good color on her.
"Thank you." Santana joined her at the table, "So how did you get rid of Wheels last night?"
Quinn shrugged knowing Santana meant Artie "I aimed him at a blonde, not his soul mate but once I find her I'll send her his way."
"You're too nice." Santana sipped her coffee before digging into her breakfast.
"I'm a goddess of love of course I'm nice." Quinn said digging into her bacon.
Santana shook her head swallowing before saying "You and I both know love gods can be petty and cruel, you're the only one that is happy when other people and gods get things."
"Untrue I was just as bad as them..."
"And now you're not." Santana argued "You've grown and changed the others haven't they're the same as they were centuries ago."
"It's because I have you, we've both changed, you're not as bitchy as you used to be."
Santana gasped in mock shock "How dare you, I am so a bitch."
Quinn laughed kissing Santana's cheek "You'll always be my bitch." Quinn knew Santana would always protect her.
"Damn right." Santana nodded. "Nobody messes with my girl, now go get your ass dressed, we've work to do."
"Fine." grabbing bacon from Santana's plate Quinn headed for her room.
"You look like a kindergarten teacher." Santana said pulling down her sunglasses.
"I look approachable." Quinn chucked puling down her own, elevator doors opening they stepped in "Cab or car?"
"Cab." Santana shrugged poking the button with her perfectly manicured nail. "I think I'll ask her to coffee."
"Coffee's good." Quinn nodded glancing at Santana's travel mug, "Today or?"
"I'm not sure." Santana admitted "I haven't thought that far ahead, stop it." Santana poked Quinn catching the smirk on the blonde's lips.
"It's just amusing to see you who plans out everything not have a clue what to do." Quinn chuckled.
"I start thinking about what to do with her and then I just start thinking about her." Santana mumbled.
"That's love for you." Quinn nodded.
"Have you figured out how to find yours?" Santana asked trying to move the conversation off of her.
"I'm sure I'll find him." Quinn shrugged.
"Oh my gods, you've already found him." Snatching off her sunglasses Santana moved to stand in front of Quinn "When and where dear sister?"
Shoving her own sunglasses up Quinn rolled her eyes "Remember that party years ago with the fairies?"
Santana nodded "No!" Santana gasped "Seriously? A fairy?"
"Worse." Quinn wrinkled her nose.
"What's worse than a fairy?" Santana asked confused and trying to remember the other party guests, eyes wide she started laughing "A satyr?"
"No but just as bad he's a minor god of sexuality, he's so..." Quinn shook her head "I mean really who has a mohawk these days?"
Trying to get her laughter under control Santana moved back to Quinn's side "Priceless. Does he know?" Santana asked before shaking her head "Of course he doesn't or he'd be up your butt."
"I am giving him time to mature, he's too much like a satyr for my taste too vulgar, he was trying to sleep with everyone." Quinn shook her head. "The only thing I have going for me is he's not of our gods, he's from the Norse, but I'm not as familiar with their lines as I am ours."
"I will look into him for you." Santana promised suddenly serious.
"Thank you sister." Quinn nodded pulling her sunglasses back down, putting her own on Santana straightened up as the doors opened causing Quinn to smirk, the Latina was back to business. "Are you sure a cab's okay?"
"Cab is fine, if you need a car today just borrow a company car." Santana shrugged as they walked to the building doors greeted with the usual.
"Good morning Miss Fabray, Miss Lopez." from the receptionist.
"Good morning." Quinn replied while Santana just nodded.
"Cab today ladies?" the doorman asked holding the door open.
"Yes thank you." Quinn smiled, Santana nodded sipping her coffee.
