They didn't spend every night together and Gibbs missed it, he liked knowing Kate was upstairs waiting for him when he finished for the night.

He'd chosen walnut and ash for the board and pieces, he'd already cut the board squares and small blocks for the pieces sketching in an outline for each chess piece, board first then the pieces, he was sure he'd have it finished by Christmas. Kate's present was finished and hidden under a blanket in the corner.

He knew she was there, she was quiet but he knew when she entered his house, the tapping of Toni's nails on the floor gave it away. Kate would be down in a few minutes after she'd changed into her pajamas, whatever they were for the night, and settle herself in the chair next to the small black and white TV, she would either draw or read. She tended to steal his shirt or wear the LSU jersey she'd gotten from Abby, he smiled seeing her bare legs descending the steps, it was his Marines tee shirt. "How's it going?" she knew what he was working on.

Holding his hand out he pulled her in front of him so she could get an up close look at the board held together by clamps as the glue dried. "Was gonna start the pieces while this dries," he wrapped his arms around her waist tugging her against his body "but I'm thinking I'll call it a night." he added when she dropped her head against his shoulder. Kissing the underside of his chin she took his hand, grinning he let her lead him up stairs hitting the light switch and closing the door behind him.

Lifting Toni onto the bed Gibbs joined Kate pulling the covers over both of them, resting his arm at her waist he rested his hand against her stomach lightly brushing his hand over the cloth that covered her. Resting his head behind hers on her pillow Gibbs murmured "Move in with me." Lightly smiling Kate covered his arm and hand with her own, she'd promised herself she would move at his speed, she just never imagined he'd move as quick as he was.

"Okay." she agreed.

"No fight?" Gibbs pulled back a little so he could see her whole face, it wasn't the response he'd thought he was going to get.

"No fight." wiggling until she laid on her back she rested her hand over his before turning her head so they could actually have a face to face conversation. "What?"

"Didn't actually think you'd agree so quick." he admitted.

"You just know when it's right." Kate softly smiled reaching up to cup his cheek with her free hand she lightly pucker her lips which he took as a hint to kiss her.

Pulling back from the kiss Gibbs said "Small stuff through the week, the rest on the weekend."

"Actually my big brother Danny is moving here, he was going to stay with me until he found a place he can take over my house and I really won't need anything but my desk set and reading chair."

Gibbs had heard of Danny, he of course knew him from her file too, Rachel had also mentioned him he was the brother that stuck by both of the girls when they had arguments with their parents. "Is he going to be here for Thanksgiving?"

"Possibly, he has some things to handle before moving." Kate wasn't going to talk about what things her brother was dealing with and she wasn't going to rush him into handling things either.

"Invite him to Ducky's, you know he'll want him there." Gibbs settled back onto the pillow.

"Yes." Kate knew Ducky wouldn't want anyone's family alone for the holidays, she closed her eyes sensing the conversation was coming to an end.

"Rachel and him, here for dinner." Gibbs yawned.

"M'kay." Kate murmured cuddling close.

"Damn it." Gibbs mumbled rolling away from Kate to grab his ringing cellphone, flipping it open he quietly gruffed "What!" glaring at the time on the alarm clock 5am at least it was close to time to get up.

"Dead Marine Boss." Tony grumbled.

"Location?"

"Rock Creek Park."

Closing his phone Gibbs grumbled getting up and heading for the shower, he hadn't minded the late night/early morning calls when Kate had joined the team, it was an excuse to see her, now the calls were taking him away from her. After watching him walk to the bathroom Kate tossed the blanket off, grabbing his robe she pulled it on as she left the bedroom with Toni hot on her heels, she wasn't going to let him go to work empty handed. He found her in the kitchen pouring a pot of coffee into a large thermos, leaning down he kissed her. "Mornin'."

"Morning, I made you a breakfast burrito" it was wrapped on the counter behind her "and coffee." closing the thermos she handed it to him as well as a travel cup.

"Could get used to this." Gibbs dropped another kiss on her lips as she handed him the foil wrapped burrito.

"See you at work Gunny." Kate smiled heading back up stairs to take her shower and get ready for work.

"Lunch if we're not busy." Gibbs called locking the door before closing it.

For Abby seeing Kate with her Caf-pow meant one of two things, Gibbs was at a crime scene or Kate wanted to girl talk. "Got a second Abby?"

Taking the Caf-Pow Abby took a quick sip before answering "For half of my favorite power couple, of course." taking another drink Abby waited.

Kate fiddled with the lid on her travel mug "Gibbs asked me to move in with him and I said yes...oh!" quickly putting her cup on the table Kate practically pulled Abby into her so she could pat the younger, taller woman on her back as she coughed on her drink. Waving her hand as she continued to cough Abby caught her breath Abby glared at Kate while she managed the cough, taking another sip.

"One," Abby cleared her throat, holding up her index finger the Goth said "don't do that again." Kate nodded biting her lip "Two," the second finger shot up "are you serious?"

Nodding again Kate answered "He asked me last night and I said yes."

"Wow." Abby smirked teasing "So much for taking it slow, wait are you?" Abby glanced down at Kate's stomach.

"No, and we haven't discussed that yet Abby." Kate shook her head, she'd already decided she wanted Gibbs, yes she wanted kids but she wanted Gibbs more.

"Well we need to." Kate couldn't help but chuckle with Abby's use of 'we', Abby rolled her eyes pointing out "It's a serious conversation Kate, I love you two together but what if he doesn't want to have kids, he doesn't have any with any of his ex-wives." the others, excluding Ducky, didn't know about Shannon and Kelly. Kate had realized that when she'd made the comment of 'four wives' and Gibbs had corrected her with 'three ex-wives'.

Kate decided to tell Abby something she'd decided on from the beginning "I want him Abby, kids or no kids I want Jethro."

"Again, wow." Abby blinked not knowing what else to say.

Gibbs stayed quite in the hall outside the room, Kate wanting kids had never been a secret but he hadn't known she'd give them up for him, turning Gibbs headed for the elevator.
