Tony would say the new year started off well, Ziva had said she'd enjoyed sharing Hanukkah with her American family, she'd like to think they learned a lot about each other, though to be honest she knew quite a bit since she'd had files on team Gibbs before joining it. Abby was being friendly with Ziva and unbeknownst to the others McGee had turned his latest book into the publisher.

But what the team had enjoyed most was capturing the men after a hard week of searching, they'd kept mother and son in a safe house until then, Dwight had been happy about missing school until Kate had showed up the first morning with all of his classwork and homework for the first week. Paired in two they split the shots searching for the men and watching the safe house.

Kate's time was taken up working with Cassie Yates, they'd both agreed on the man so Cassie brought him in and Kate watched as Cassie somehow broke the narcissist, even taking a quick break to talk to her. Jenny stayed back watching through the multiple cameras as Kate fed Cassie the information she'd need to handle the man, including the room exit and slight break with Kate who had fries in the observation room. The Profilers were working out, though she was curious as to why Kate hadn't been in the room with Agent Yates.

Gibbs wasn't taking his Saturday in the basement, he was actually laying on the couch with his head resting in Kate's lap, she knew even though he couldn't hear the baby he was still listening, his ear was pressed to her non existent belly. Smiling she played with his hair as she watched her movie, he was reading the first Thom E. Gemcity, a book called 'Alpha Foxtrot' it was based on their first meeting, McGee hadn't been a part of the team but he'd heard enough about it from the others and then of course research followed. "We need to tell Director Shepard." Kate said without looking away from the movie.

"We need to tell your family and the team first." he didn't want the team finding out at work.

"All the books say after the first trimester," Kate agreed, one of her sister-in-laws had almost lost their baby during the first trimester and spent the entire rest of her pregnancy on bed rest.

"Then that's what we do." he nodded. "What time are they coming over?"

"Mmm?" Kate glanced down, it took her a moment to realize what he'd asked, glancing at the small clock on the mantel she said "Around 6, so 45 minutes."

"Pizza or Chinese?" he sat up.

Kate grimaced holding her stomach "Chinese, baby didn't like the other one." her stomach had rolled at the word pizza."3 weeks, they just have to behave themselves for 3 more weeks and then we'll tell everyone." she'd been around 7 weeks when they'd found out.

Gibbs couldn't help but chuckle as she spoke to her belly for that last part, "I'll call and grab the table top you get the cards."

"Thank you." she muttered poking at her non existent belly "Behave, no nausea."

The group showed up before the food, it wasn't the whole group, Ducky was with his mother and Jimmy had a date, but her siblings and the team showed up. Abby the first to arrive with beer, Rachel and Danny were next with wine, while Ziva and the boys showed up with snacks.

"Katie?" Rachel held up an empty wine glass after pouring herself one.

"Not tonight." Kate held up her glass, it looked like bourbon, Gibbs knew better, it was tea.

"I'll be your wine buddy." Tony held up his hand.

"I thought I'd try something new."

"Count me in." Danny said helping Gibbs get the green poker top for the table.

"Oh this is good." Tony nodded seeing the bottle.

McGee took the money from Gibbs heading to the door when the bell rang, they would eat dinner first and then play poker.

Holding up the shrimp fried rice Tony offered it to Kate, shaking her head Kate held up her own container, "Your loss."

"Just thought I'd try something new." Kate shrugged.

"Ziva?"

"I am trying this, chicken lo mein." she held up her container, she wanted to try them all before settling on a go to.

"I have the veggie spring rolls." Abby held up her hand so someone could pass them to her.

Once everything was handed out they gathered around the living room quietly eating, the wind down from a case varied from person to person but this time it fell on their game night so they knew it wasn't going to be a normal noisy night. Once they were finished they put their left overs in the fridge, they'd all saved room for the snacks at the table which Ziva was helping Kate put out.

"So how is the search for an office going?" McGee asked Danny.

"Location is what I'm looking for the most, near good food places that deliver or are in walking distance.

"I'm surprised you're not looking for a place you can have a kitchenette." Tony said grabbing one of the bowls of pretzels.

"I think when I'm able to expand, have a partner, then I'll get an office that has a breakroom with a kitchenette." Danny said taking his place at the table.

"Gonna be the only law office with homemade gourmet snacks." Tony chuckled, Danny did as well.

"Right now I send food with Rachel and Katie." Danny said sitting next to Rachel.

"Wait you send food with Kate? We haven't gotten any." Tony glared at Kate who just laughed.

"Do you really think they make it out of my house Tony?"

"Boss!" Tony gasped, Gibbs shrugged with a smirk.

"I'll make more." Danny laughed.

Once they were finished they gathered around the table to play Texas Hold 'em, "I think she cheats." Tony looked right at Kate who just chuckled and dealt the cards, she knew he was just teasing.

"You have a tell Tony." Ziva said accepting her cards.

"I do not." he huffed.

"You do," Gibbs chuckled as Kate explained "everyone does, it's just a matter of learning them."

"What's Gibbs's tell?"

"You have to learn that on your own." Kate chuckled accepting the yogurt covered pretzels from Ziva, Kate knew if Tony seriously played he'd be difficult to beat but he was just playing for fun.

It was quiet with some teasing as they played, Abby bowing out early as she had Habitat for Humanity in the morning, McGee saying a meeting with his landlord followed shortly after with Ziva, Danny and Rachel were the next to as they were carpooling. Tony helped clean up. Snacks went into containers while the table top folded and went into what Abby, Kate and McGee referred to as the Harry Potter cupboard.

Tony held up Kate's glass asking "You wanna tell me what's really going on or would you prefer I guess?" he gave the glass a little shake.

Kate sighed, "Do the others suspect?"

"Nah." he handed her the cup "But I know you, if you're not drinking wine or coffee you prefer tea, you haven't been around Gibbs long enough to start drinking bourbon. So is everything okay?" he nodded to her belly.

"It's fine, just early." she admitted, then explained when Tony's eyebrows scrunched "I'm eight weeks, things have a higher chance of happening in the first trimester, then other weeks."

"So when were you going to tell us?"

"After I passed my 1st trimester." Kate leaned back against the sink taking the glass from Tony. "Aside from this what gave me away?"

"You changed up your food orders, you've had more headaches than usual and the whole throwing up thing is a red flag," he added with a chuckle "not to mention you keep protecting your stomach."

Kate couldn't help but chuckle as she put the glass in the sink with the soapy water. "You spot all that but still can't spot my tell when we play cards?" she teased.

"I'm sure if I was looking I could." he grinned. "So what do you want, a little Gibbs or a little Kate?" Tony asked.

"Don't care as long as they're healthy."

"Whelp secret's safe with me." he stepped close opening his arms for a hug "You need anything when Gibbs isn't around you call me." it wasn't a question.

"Thank you, I will." she promised.
