Before I even begin with this one-shot. I want to apologize for not being active here as of lately. From the break up, to major health issues, writing has been the furthest thing from my mind. But, that is going to change, I have big plans for some stories. One is a potential cross over with the anime Solo Leveling, which has become a very beloved anime for me. Another is an extremely dark angsty fic that involves Natsu being tortured by a dark guild. I will put a fair warning, I will be holding nothing back when it comes to it.

The last is a fun little song fic. If none of you know what that is, it can be used in two different ways. Using the songs meaning to make a story about it, or it's basically the guild discovers that Natsu is a very talented musical artist. I enjoy reading them myself, because I like to imagine the scenes in my head of Natsu actually singing these songs. It's just harmless fun, writing the guild's reactions to certain songs. Anyway, that's what I got upcoming for the future.

Again, I'm sorry for not being around much. I'll try my best to make it up to you guys, promise. Without further a do, here's the third of many One-Shots with a Dragon and a Scarlet Knight.

The sun shined bright in the skies of Magnolia. Many citizens were in a rush towards a guild hall everyone knew and loved, Fairy Tail. A guild that has stood the test of time, defeated many dangers that put this town in ruins. But even with overwhelming odds, they never gave up even when everyone else did. Zeref, Acnologia, many threats squashed by none other than Natsu Dragneel with the help of his friends, and family.

So what was this guild up to nowadays? Well...

"Welcome everyone to Fairy Tail's annual singing competition!" Makarov's voice boomed off the walls of the guild as many members groaned in agony.

"What's the point of this? We all know Mira is gonna win, like she does every year!" Gray voiced his opinion with a scowl, as many others agreed to his statement, knowing full good and well that Mira was the best singer around.

His voice was silenced by an armored hand, smacking him into the wall of the guild leaving an imprint of his body. "Be quiet while the master speaks!" Erza shouted, as she turned her stern glare to the others who hesitantly took a step back.

The smaller older man coughed into his hand. "Erm, yes thank you Erza. Anyway! Mira will not be competing this year, she'll actually be a judge to ensure this is much more fair experience for others that aren't so experienced in the musical arts," he glanced over at Gajeel with a sweat running down his brow.

"Hey! What's that look Gramps? I have more talent here than most of these losers!" Gajeel grit his teeth slightly in irritation.

"Keep telling yourself that metal head," Gray retorts with his eyes rolling to the side with his arms crossed. "I bet Natsu can at least sing better than you."

"What was that ice breath?!"

"You heard me tin can!"

"Knock it off!" Erza grabbed the two of their heads and collided them together as they were both sprawled on the floor. "No fighting, understood?"

"A-aye mam!" They both exclaimed causing the whole guild to chuckle at their reactions.

Natsu, who was in the back heard Gray's words, which caused the dragon slayer to bite his bottom lip nervously. Others noticed, but took no worry of it knowing others felt the same as him when it came to singing in front of a large crowd.

"Alright brats! take a seat and when you're called, come up on the stage and show us your voice! I, Mirajaine and a special guest Jason from sorcerers weekly will be the judges of this competition," Makarov grinned mischievously as the three took their seats up front.

"Soooo COOOL!" Jason practically was jumping out of his skin in excitement of his favorite guild.

"Do your best everyone!" Mirajaine cheered with a beaming smile as she too took her seat next to Makarov.

Team Natsu took their seats together. Erza sat next to Natsu, while Gray and Lucy were on the other side, while Happy sat on the table, munching on some fish he pulled from his green back pack.

"This is gonna be a train wreck," Gray said rubbing his face.

"Hey, you gotta sing too Ice boy," Lucy giggled softly at his reaction, realizing that he had to do it too.

"Crap..." he muttered under his breath.

Erza rolled her eyes at her team mates before turning to Natsu who looked like he was gonna burst out of his skin. "Nervous Natsu?" She asked with a soft smile, gracing her beautiful mouth.

Natsu chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, a lot of people showed up for this."

"You'll do just fine," she put her hand on his shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I belive in you, Natsu."

He couldn't help but smile, a tiny blush on his cheeks from her words. "T-thanks Erza," he stuttered slightly, turning his attention back to the stage. Don't wimp out Natsu, this is your only chance to tell her how you really feel by the only way you know how! 'Don't screw this up!'

As many participants were called to the stage, some worse than others. Some that surprised even the master himself, which only made him smile realizing that his kids had so much more potential than they all let on. After Gajeel's ear piercing performance, he retracted that statement. 'Maybe not everyone.'

Finally, it came down to one more person. "Natsu Dragneel! you are the final contestant, come on up and show us what you can do!" Makarov gestured with his hands for the dragon slayer to come on stage, which he almost fell out of his seat getting up.

Sweat ran down his forehead as he passed his fellow guildmates, feeling his team's eyes in the back of his head. With a deep breath he took his step on stage, facing the judges. 'I guess it's time to show them my secret' he thought as all eyes were now on him. Out of the corner of his eye he could still see Erza's bright smile, pushing him forward to continue.

"So what do you got for us Natsu, my boy?" The old master asked with a curious expression on his face.

Natsu swallowed the lump that was forming his throat as he hesitantly spoke. "A song I wrote called Neon," he responded as he noticed many eyes go wide around him at this new information.

"No way Natsu wrote a song!" Gray's voice was heard, but was quickly silenced with a smack of Erza's fist.

"Well, go on Natsu. Let's hear it," Makarov leaned back in his chair with a grin as the others stopped talking to listen.

The salmon colored mage walked up to the guild's piano, taking a seat. He took one more deep breath before the next moments that would shock this entire guild. His fingers gently glided across the keys, closing his eyes as his voice was heard.

When there's no one to turn to

I'll be the one to say, "It's alright"

Leave the highway to find you

To follow the pieces you leave behind

Give me a reason to lighten the dark

Why would you hide when I know who you are?

It's true

True

I know all your secrets, don't run from your scars

So, why would you change when I love every part of you?

You

To say the guild wasn't in shock was an understatement. His voice was so gentle, but yet it brought comfort that all the women in the room bathed in happily. Erza's mouth was slightly agape at the start of his performance, let alone seeing he could play an instrument. Before anyone else could say a word, he continued.

So, if there's shadows in your heart when you're weak

I'll light the road in neon

In neon, in neon

I'll be the one to hear you out when you speak

Just let it go, carry on

Carry on, carry on

And if you knew

That you are the one who gives me strength

If you show yourself like I do

You wouldn't wonder, you wouldn't wonder

So, if there's shadows in your heart when you're weak

I'll light the road in neon

In neon, in neon

Like the city streets

Natsu's eyes opened as he turned his head to look directly in Erzas way, a deep blush enveloping his cheeks with the brightest smile he could give anyone. Erza's brown eyes stared back into his onyx ones with a blush slightly forming on her cheek, realizing this song was for her. Some girls had tears in their eyes, especially Mirajaine who covered her mouth in pure shock.

"Holy shit Salamander..." Even Gajeel himself was at a loss for words.

"It's so beautiful!" Lucy wiped the tears from her eyes, smiling brightly up at Natsu who seemed to be in his own little world.

When you feared every cross-road

And you question the cloud, the sky

Just know

You'll be able to say that you faced your fears

Don't waste your tears

Distant memories left too fast

So give me a reason to lighten the dark

Why would you change when I love every part of you?

You

So, if there's shadows in your heart when you're weak

I'll light the road in neon

In neon, in neon

I'll be the one to hear you out when you speak

Just let it go, carry on

Carry on, carry on

And if you knew

That you are the one who gives me strength

If you show yourself like I do

You wouldn't wonder, you wouldn't wonder

So, if there's shadows in your heart when you're weak

I'll light the road in neon

In neon, in neon

Like the city streets

So, if there's shadows in your heart when you're weak

I'll light the road in neon

In neon, in neon

Everyone was stunned in silence, staring wide eyed, some tears in their eyes at Natsu who turned towards the audience. He began to get nervous at their silence. 'Crap, did I screw up?' He thought as he rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous chuckle.

Without hesitation the crowd, judges and the guild roared in applause, many standing up to clap their hands.

"That was amazing Natsu!" Mirajaine shouted with tears in her eyes.

"I have to agree with Mira, that was a spectacular performance Natsu. We had no idea you could sing like that!" Makarov beamed in pride.

"S-so cool!" Jason cried comically.

Natsu gave a toothy grin, realizing everyone loved his song. The crowd parted to show Erza who had tears in her eyes, but a bright smile never leaving her lips. "N-natsu... was that..?"

"For you, yes," he nodded his head with a deep blush. "I didn't know how else to show you how I feel, so I got a little.. creative."

She climbed onto the stage, walking up to Natsu. Without warning, she threw her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly with tears flowing down her cheeks. "That was beautiful... I.. I feel the same way."

They pulled apart for a moment as everyone in the room phased out of existence that only left Natsu, and Erza. His hand gently touched her cheek with a warm smile. "These are the only tears I want to see from now on," he spoke softly with a warm smile that pushed any darkness she ever had away.

Their eyes closed before they both leaned in, pressing their lips together. Nothing else mattered in that moment, not the guild, not anyone. Time felt non existent to the couple as they soon pulled away, hearing the cheers and whistles around them. But their eyes never left each other's.

"I think it's obvious who won this," Gray gave a wide grin, giving his rival a thumbs up in approval.

"Natsu is our winner!" Makarov cheered as the crowd went wild once more.

"I hope I get to hear more of that angelic voice of yours," Erza leaned her head on his shoulder, her hand interlocked with his.

Natsu looked down at her with a wide toothy grin. "Of course, my Knight."

She looked up at him as he looked down at her. Their lips met once more, signifying the start of something new, and all it took was a little music to truly show how much Natsu Dragneel loved Erza Scarlet.

The song that was used Is Neon by Livingston. I honestly thought the lyrics really fit with how Erza feels about herself, but Natsu is telling her she can be open to him. This is why this ship is my favorite. Nobody knows Erza as much as Natsu does. Sick of the lame excuse that they are family, so it's incest, no it's not. Anyway, I really hope you enjoyed this cute one-shot, and I'll see you all in the next one. laters. :)
