"I tried to get your homework but someone got to it before me."
"It was Sue, she came during lunch with everything," Santana told Finn "told me to send it back when it was complete." yawning Santana asked "So anything new at school?"
"Finn's taking home ec. with Puck and Tina." Mercedes volunteered before telling the baby in her arms "Daddy's trying to learn how to cook so he doesn't poison you, yes he is." Santana held her stomach as she chuckled with Quinn at the other girl's antics.
"I made eggs, it was supposed to be an omelet, it was more like scrambled eggs." Finn said honestly.
"Were they edible?" Santana asked.
"They were." Finn grinned nodding.
"Then you can already cook better than a few of my primas." Santana shrugged.
"How was your day?" Quinn asked rocking side to side with the baby held to her chest.
"Abuela came to visit, we watched game shows and telenovelas. What about you?" Santana asked.
"Beth did not want to get up this morning but I did manage to get the little grouch up and dressed before I had to go to school."
"Are you sure she's not Santana's?" Mercedes teased.
"I hope she pukes on you." Santana muttered glaring at Mercedes who just laughed.
"They are the perfect blend of you two." Quinn said peaking at the dark brown hair under the beanie.
"Hopefully they will have neither one of your tempers, cause damn." Mercedes had seen them both in action.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Santana scoffed quickly placing her hand over her lower abdomen "Damn it."
"I can't image what you're going through." Quinn shook her head.
Lifting her arm up Santana smirked "Not much." they had her hooked to an IV.
"She won't use it." Finn shook his head.
"Snitches get stitches." Santana glared at him.
"San!" Brittany gasped, Quinn and Mercedes laughed.
Santana shook her head opening the small bags on her lap, "You guys already got them presents."
"We plan on being the favorite uncles, so we need to start spoiling them now." Matt explained. "That and we figured once you take their hospital bracelets off you might need a way to tell them apart.
Santana shook her head smiling at the matching silver ID bracelets with the girls names engraved "Thank you."
"Soon as they get old enough we need a play date." Mike said picking up Lily.
"And by playdate you mean?"
"Video games." Matt said picking up Lyla.
"Movies, we'll bring Breadstix." Mike added sitting down.
"Obviously." Santana nodded with a smirk.
"Mom says it'll be a while before you're back on your feet so if you need a hand with anything..." Matt nodded in napping Brittany's direction "let us know."
"Take her to see the ducks tomorrow?"
"We will." Mike nodded. "And I'll make sure she has the mix you make so she can feed the ducks."
"Peas and corn is the easiest mix, there's a container in our freezer in the garage with it." Santana explained "I'll tell Mami and I'm sure she'll let you get it."
Marley was surprised that Santana wanted to seer her but she followed Unique down the hall to Santana's room, "Hello ladies, come in." Santana covered a yawn. Unique held out a small stick balloon that said 'Congratulations', taking it Brittany smiled, Santana held one baby while Finn held the other. "This is Lyla and Finn has Lily."
"They are gorgeous, they will be heart breakers." Unique gushed.
"They're so tiny." Marley whispered not wanting to wake them.
"Not for long, they eat a lot." Santana chuckled.
"Santana and Finn were chucky babies." Brittany offered.
"Fat, we were fat." Santana corrected getting a laugh from Finn.
"At least they have hair." Finn smiled at the baby in his arms, both girls had dark brown hair like he did but were darker like Santana, so far they were looking like a decent blend of the two.
"This is true." Santana nodded. "So how was school? And keep in mind I have already talked to Quinn and Mercedes."
"Oh, um...aside from that it was fine." Marley promised.
"I wonder what her problem is aside from the obvious of being a bi..witch." Santana corrected herself, she was trying not to swear in front of the babies, at least with Brittany in the room.
"There's a boy..." Unique supplied.
"He's not following me." Marley denied.
"He is." Unique argued "He's been hanging around the parking lot in the mornings but I've not seen him in any classes yet, I have seen him watching her."
"And Bree doesn't like it." Santana nodded "I need a picture of this boy."
"Done." Unique held up her phone, getting up as she pulled up the picture she showed Santana, leaning Finn peaked at it.
"He's shown up and watched practice a few times," Finn recognized him "but he leaves after a couple minutes."
"I'll do some digging." Santana nodded, she'd seen him at practice too, he wasn't watching the Cheerios but the football players. "For now I've asked Matt to keep an eye on you, he says he'll walk you to classes and things like that, obviously Mike and Finn will help out as well." Finn nodded. "Plus with you being in Glee it's in Sue's best interest to keep Bree under control."
"Think she actually will?" Finn asked.
"If she wants her Cheerios to make Nationals and be champions again, she will, how's your mom?"
"Sh...she's fine." Marley was surprised that Santana asked.
"When do you get to go home?" Unique asked.
"A few days, they want to make sure I'm healing correctly and then my parents are having a nurse come and babysit me," Santana rolled her eyes. "once I'm healed I'll be able to come back to school."
"But even then the doctor said you have to take it easy." Finn reminded.
"I can still do whatever lame dance number Schue comes up with." Santana snorted then grimaced, Finn did too out of sympathy. "You use those muscles a lot more than you realize." she muttered.
"Should we get the nurse?" Marley asked.
"No, it just twinges." Santana shook her head before nodding to Lyla. "Would you like to hold her?"
"A...are you sure?" Marley stuttered.
"Yes." Santana nodded "Brittany can you?" Santana nodded from the baby in her arms to Marley.
"She's feisty." Brittany giggled getting up, carefully taking the baby sleeping in Santana's arms she gently placed the baby in Marley's arms, taking it as a cue Finn offered Lily to Unique.
"Yes." Unique softly clapped before taking the baby from him, smiling down at the baby in her arms she murmured "Hello baby." taking his phone out of his pocket Finn took pictures of both girls with the babies. "I know you have plenty of offers but we would also be willing to babysit these angels."
Santana snorted quickly holding her stomach "Only if they take after Finn, I was..." Santana thought of a word that wouldn't get her in trouble with Brittany "high spirited." Finn chuckled getting a scowl from Santana.
The visits were short but the rest of the Glee club took their turns as they had done with Quinn until it was just Rachel in the room with Santana, Brittany and Finn. Brittany held Lily while Finn handed over Lyla to Rachel. "When they get old enough you should take them to the zoo." Rachel smiled down at Lyla.
"Me and Puck were talking about that." Finn admitted glancing at Santana.
"They will love the zoo, whenever Mami and Papi had a day off together they took me, when they get old enough we should get them lifetime passes that way they're covered when either of us take them." Santana could see Finn was ready for her to react badly. "It was the first thing I bought myself when I had enough money." when Quinn had seen Santana's lifetime ticket, she had talked with Santana about getting one for herself and Beth as well. "They decorate for all the holidays, they'll be too little to enjoy Christmas this year but next year will be great."
"We have to get them Christmas pictures this year, babies first Santa pictures." Brittany said quietly but Santana could hear the excitement in her girlfriend's voice.
"We could go together." Finn suggested, he wanted to go.
"Puck and Quinn too." Santana agreed "The Unholy Trinity the next generation."
Rachel couldn't help but chuckle "You should get them matching dresses with Beth, it would sell it even more." Santana smirked nodding.
"Then it's settled we meet up for pictures when Santa comes to the mall." Santana looked at Finn who nodded.
Seeing Santana yawn Rachel said "I should get going so you can sleep." offering the baby back to Finn she gave Santana a smile.
Knowing both Rachel and Santana were trying Finn quickly and carefully picked up Lyla giving her to Santana "I'll take you home."
"They really are beautiful Finn." Rachel smiled up at Finn.
"Thank you, I'm just glad they're healthy." Finn smiled.
"I'm sure Santana is as well." Rachel agreed. "It was nice of Coach Beiste to let you guys off practice."
Finn chucked leading Rachel to his truck "I think she knew none of us would be able to concentrate." reaching out Finn took Rachel's hand "Thank you for coming, it means a lot." glancing down at their clasped hands he said "When we go to the zoo I want you to come along too."
"I wasn't hinting." Rachel shook her head suddenly worried he took her suggestion the wrong way "I just know I've always had fun when I've gone with my dads."
"I know," Finn softly smiled explaining "because you said 'you' and not 'we' when you said it."
"I am learning it is not all about me." Rachel blushed.
Brittany was napping when Maribel peaked in, "I heard you had a busy day."
"Glee club came to visit, Sue stopped by during lunch, she brought my homework." Santana gestured to the folder on her table. "Brittany's taking a nap and then we're going to do homework, Papi said he'd take her home when his shift ended."
"How are you feeling mija?" Maribel sat at the foot of the bed resting her hand on Santana's ankle.
"Tired, achy." Santana admitted "Scared I'm going to drop one of them."
"You're doing okay, I promise, all new mothers feel like this." Maribel gave Santana's ankle a squeeze.
"So it's not because...you know." Santana couldn't bring herself to say it.
"No mija, it's not because you are young, I was the same way with you, so was your papi."
"Wait, Papi?" Santana eyed her mother "But he's a doctor."
"And you're his baby." Maribel chuckled "We were just as bad as you and Finn."
"Brittany's not scared to hold them at all." Santana shook her head.
"Brittany has a little sister." she reminded. "Santana anytime you are feeling overwhelmed you just tell me, don't wait for me to ask."
"Okay." Santana nodded. "Mami can you do me a favor, can you talk to Ms. Rose, I think Marley's..." Santana sighed, she knew the signs so it wasn't think, she knew. "Marley's not eating like Quinn and I didn't eat."
"Do you have her number?"
"I don't but she's the lunch lady at school if that helps."
"I'll take Mrs. Chang with me, we'll talk to her, it's not something that's easy to hear." Maribel nodded.
"Thanks Mami, she's really sweet."
"You would have been a good big sister to right little sister." squeezing Santana's ankle Maribel stood up.
"She's nice." Santana shrugged.
"Like Brittany." Maribel agreed "I understand."
Hearing a light knock on the door mother and daughter watched it slowly open, "I didn't mean to intrude."
"You're not, I was just leaving." Maribel smiled, leaning she kissed Santana and then the babies on their foreheads, giving Coach Beiste's arm a squeeze and the woman a smile as she passed her.
"Hi Coach." Santana smiled as the woman closed the door behind her.
"How's she doing?" Beiste nodded towards the sleeping blonde.
"Everyone's watching out for her at school, but I know she misses me." Santana softly smiled at Brittany. "The boys are going to take her to the pond tomorrow, she likes to feed the ducks." waiting for Beiste to sit Santana asked "How are the guys doing? Finn okay with the whole lineman thing?"
"The boys are good, and you were right Finn's a good lineman."
