"Hey sweetie." Santana kissed Brittany's cheek as she walked into the kitchen, she'd taken a shower after Finn had left. "Babies are sleeping, Q is on her way back with Beth, so go pick first movie."
"Okay." Brittany headed to Santana's room, that was where Santana kept her favorite movies, stopping Brittany looked around asking "Where's Finn?" she'd been playing on her phone in the living room while Santana was dealing with the babies because Finn was helping then she went to the kitchen for a snack.
"I sent him home, told him go enjoy his movie night with the Berrys'." Santana said closing the door "It's time to take care of them myself."
"You can do it." Brittany said as she headed up the stairs.
Santana lightly smiled at her girlfriend's back, Brittany was definitely her personal cheerleader. "Thanks Britt."
Rachel sat next to Finn with a notebook and pencil, she was taking notes about the characters to ask him or her dads later she didn't want to interrupt the movie he seemed really into it. She knew Finn wasn't into the science, he'd told her as much when she asked questions about how the different characters flew, his answers had been magic, the sun and a ring.
"So you kicked him out?" Quinn asked feeding Beth her bottle.
"I did not, I sent him home, he can't stay here forever." Santana rolled her eyes "He needs to get his room set up like we did mine so they can stay with him too."
"You've seen his room, I don't think they'll fit," Quinn shook her head "maybe his mom will have them in with her?"
"We should help him, he helped us." Brittany said holding up two movies for them to pick from, one a musical and one animated.
"We should," Quinn agreed "whichever one you want B."
"You pick sweetie." Santana glanced in the playpen at the sleeping twins taking a quick picture before heading to the kitchen for snacks.
"I think this one, the babies like singing, this one has more songs." Brittany held up the musical, putting the other case down she put the movie in before taking her spot on the couch next to the end table, she needed the room for her snacks. Getting settled with her blanket and pillow Brittany took a picture of Quinn feeding Beth, Brittany would say the other girl looked calm, she didn't know how else to say it.
His phone was on speaker as he cracked the eggs into the bowl "So breakfast for dinner's a real thing and not just something she's trying to pull on me?"
"I promise." Tina chuckled. "So what are you making?"
"Omelet and some fruit, Squirt likes berries so I've been grabbing some here and there." Puck said tossing the shells in the garbage before picking up the fork to beat the eggs, holding his hand over one of the two pans he nodded satisfied with it "I prepped my spinach and tomatoes before I called you, I just gotta sauté them real quick before I toss the eggs in the pan." Puck explained while dumping the sliced cherry tomatoes and spinach in the pan, he'd washed them before cutting and slicing them.
"I want to see it when you're done."
"What like take pictures?" Puck chuckled carefully pushing the mix around to cover it in the oil.
"Yes." Tina chuckled as well.
"Alright, but that's not normally what I send chicks pictures of." he teased, he didn't have to see her to know she was rolling her eyes but still smiling, he could hear it when she asked.
"What time is your mom home?"
"Fifteen minutes, I got this." he promised.
"You have to tell me everything tomorrow..." hearing a muffled "Fifteen minutes." Puck assumed Tina had covered the phone to answer her parents. "How's it going?" her unmuffled voice asked.
"I'm going to start the eggs, my pan's good, not too hot." he held his hand over the second pan, pouring some of the mix in he continued to talk to Tina as he grabbed the mixed berries from the fridge giving them the same treatment as the vegetables, he couldn't remember if he'd done it when he'd brought them home. Leaving them draining in the sink he returned to the stove reminding himself "I got this, just like class."
"Exactly like class." Tina agreed.
"Take some of these and put them here." Puck said before biting his lower lip as he transferred the sautéed vegetables to the egg pan "And fold." Tina waited and giggled when she heard his excited "Yes." she'd seen his fist pump and dance when he managed his first good omelet fold to know he'd done exactly that. Turning the heat off on his vegetable pan puck moved it off the heat, he didn't want to burn it, his attention back on his omelet he checked it "Puttin' it on the plate." he said, she could hear the nervousness in his voice, this was the first meal he was cooking for his mother. "Got it!"
"Yay."
"And next." Tina stayed on the line for the remaining omelets, two for himself because he needed to keep football weight, and a cup of mixed fruit for everyone.
"Thanks Tina."
"You're welcome, next up is the cake." she chirped. "Bye Puck."
"Bye, I'll send pictures." he promised before hanging up, hearing the lock on the front door clicking Puck quickly took pictures of all three plates for Tina, sending them as he went to meet his mom at the door. Puck to Tina: Fingers crossed
"What is this?" his mother asked when he helped her with her coat and purse.
"A surprise." he gestured her to the small dining room table that they rarely used for anything other than homework. "I didn't tell you I drop Spanish," her head snapped looking up at him with a scowl, "I don't need it, Santana's teaching me, I traded it for home ec. I thought that'd be better since I have Beth." her scowl faded, it was a better choice. "She wanted breakfast for dinner," he gestured to his sister "so I made it."
"You made breakfast for dinner?" his mother asked confused.
Pushing her seat in after she sat down Puck went to the counter grabbing his mother and sister's plates "Tina said it's a thing." he said placing both plates on the table before pushing his sister's chair in as well before going to get his own, his sister had put the silverware, napkins, orange juice and glasses on the table for him. Checking his phone before he sat down he grinned at Tina's response. Tina to Puck: They look great, I'm so proud of you!
Brittany to Puck: Look who's here for movie night
Santana knew he was with Rachel but wanted to shoot him the text before she forgot Santana to Baby Daddy: Britt wants to know when we're getting your room set for the babies, we want to help
Still watching the movie Finn pulled his phone out of his pocket checking it, "Santana." he explained to Rachel's fathers when they looked his way, they of course both nodded, he could see the slight frown from Rachel but he reminded himself she was trying but still had jealousy issues. Finn to Santana: Mom wants to switch rooms, could use all the help I can get
Santana to Baby Daddy: We can do it Tuesday instead of tutoring, I'll text Glee group
She didn't expect immediate responses as it was around dinner but she was sure the phones would go crazy the second dinner was finished.
Finn to Santana: Thanks
He didn't put his phone away but he did silence it knowing what was coming, his phone vibrated a moment later, he didn't look knowing it was the text Santana had mentioned, Rachel's phone pinged which lead to a muttering.
"Trying to watch a movie." grabbing out her phone she was ready to angry text back, seeing what it was she gave a quiet "oh." with a glance at him.
Santana to Glee: Hey we're gonna help Finn with getting the babies room ready at his house this Tuesday, Wheezy tell Shane, I don't have his number
Finn felt his phone vibrate on his knee the same time Rachel's pinged again, it was about time for the mass responses, Rachel scrambled to turn off her ringer.
Mercedes to Glee: I will watch my babies as always
Quinn to Glee: You mean telenovelas with Abuela
Kurt to Glee: Blaine's not in the group text
Santana to Glee: Don't have Bow tie's number or Lips you people who do tell them.
"Really Lips and Bow tie?" Quinn looked up from her phone, Santana shrugged.
"The boy has Steven Tyler, Jagger lips." Santana said in her defense. "And it was bow tie or hair gel cause wow." Brittany giggled. Their phones going off the girls went back to reading the text messages.
Mike to Glee: We're in
Unique to Glee: Us too
"I don't understand, if they knew what earth would do to him why didn't they just all come to earth?" Rachel asked confused.
"They didn't believe Jor-El, and he and his wife only had enough material to make a pod for Kal-El." Finn explained reading the texts, Santana knew he probably wouldn't answer until his movie was over
Finn to Glee: Thank guys
"But why wouldn't they come to earth before that? Knowing they would be super powered, it doesn't make sense."
Finn shrugged, he couldn't remember having read a reason why they didn't but then he hadn't read every Superman comic book. "I just know a little about a lot of them," he admitted "even my favorites, I mean I know more about them but it's still like when they came out, who created them, who's writing and drawing them now, their powers and weaknesses." Finn watched Rachel quickly scribbling down everything he'd just mentioned.
