many scenes taken from 6x13. TW for undertones of rape. the following chapters will be more original, I just felt like I needed to include this to set the scene.

Sure, Xavier seemed weird and unsettling right off the bat to Sam, but she hadn't known the extent of it until now.

"So, tell me what you told Brooke Davis about those sketches," he'd asked the next morning.

"I didn't tell her anything, 'cause I don't know anything," Sam had desperately tried explaining. "Look, I gave Brooke the sketches. That's all. I didn't rat you out. I didn't even know you took them. It was all my fault anyway. I was the one shooting off my mouth."

"Oh, so, you're feeling guilty now," X smirked.

"Brooke was good to me."

"Right. Because she took you in? Put you up in that big house? Saved you from what? From being like us?" X had taunted. "I used to like you, Sam. I thought Jack had caught himself a nice piece. But I don't like people who forget where they belong."

"Dude, lay off," That's where Jack had intervened.

"Somebody grew a pair of balls last night," X hit Jack hard across the face. That's when Sam panicked and tried to run.

"Brooke tried to run away, too," he sneered and pushed the young girl back onto the air mattress.

That's when it hit Sam. He was the one who'd attacked Brooke. How had she not put together the pieces sooner? X was a dangerous man, more so than she'd initially thought. And now she was in his house, face to face with him.

"I think you two need to take some time to think about what a couple of idiots you are." That was the last thing he'd told the teenagers before locking them in the basement.

Now, Jack was escaping and she was thankful for that, but Sam was trapped alone with psycho Xavier with no way to escape.

"GET THE HELL OFF OF ME!" Sam screamed at the top of her lungs, squirming wildly trying to fight against Xavier's hold on her. "JACK! JACK!" she watched him escape out the window and bolt away.

"Jack's not gonna get you help," X sneered and pushed Sam harshly onto the air mattress. He pulled out a roll of duct tape and Sam looked up at him pleadingly.

"Please," she begged tearfully, but Xavier ignored her cries, pinning her down as he aggressively pressed a long piece of tape over her mouth. Sam wriggled and fought against him, but he easily grabbed both of the young girl's wrists to prevent her from ripping off the tape.

"What? Cat got your tongue?" He taunted menacingly, and Sam continued to cry and squirm frantically. X dragged the panicked girl up the stairs, dragged her through the house and into a coat closet, then he pushed her to the ground.

"You know Sam," X said while he tightly bound her hands and ankles together with the duck tape. "This will be a lot easier for you if you quit struggling and embrace what's happening," he let out a small chuckle. When he was finished constraining her, he raised his hand and softly brushed her cheek. Sam looked at him fearfully and continued to whine and cry underneath the duck tape.

"You're so pretty, Sam," he continued. "We could have a lot of fun together." Sam flinched and turned her head away, but her captor hooked his finger under her chin and pulled her back to face him.

"Have you had sex?" he asked with an evil grin.

Sam felt her heart hammering inside her chest. She looked at him with big, pleading eyes begging him to let her go, but he continued staring down at her with a wicked smile. Brooke had told her that when he'd robbed her store and attacked her, that's all he had done. Sam had asked, but Brooke denied rape occurring that night. The teenager was worried that soon she wouldn't be able to say the same.

"Don't worry if you haven't, I'll teach you sometime." Xavier continued touching her face for another minute all while Sam whimpered and shook with terror. Then, the man stood up and walked to the door.

"Don't even think about trying to get up," he smirked before closing the closet door, leaving her in the dark.

Sam was left in the closet having a panic attack and frantically trying to rip the duck tape off of her wrists. 15 minutes after X had left her, she heard footsteps approach the closet and she instantly stopped struggling.

"Make one sound and you'll be an orphan. Again," was all X said to her when he cracked open the door.

He shut it quickly, and Sam's heart sped up when she heard X answer the front door to a voice that sounded like Brooke's. Yes, that was definitely Brooke, Sam concluded. Part of her couldn't believe that Brooke had even bothered searching for her, and suddenly she felt an overwhelming amount of love for the designer who she'd come to see as a mother. Despite her constant snarky attitude and bad behavior, Brooke had never given up on her. And even though Sam knew that she was the cause of the attack and much of Brooke's pain, Brooke still continued to advocate for her.

Please find me, please find me, please find me, Sam silently prayed. But all of the hope she felt when Brooke entered the house instantly vanished when she heard Brooke leave and the front door shut. She squeezed her eyes closed as fresh tears fell. It was hopeless; nobody would ever find her.

Loud banging on the front door only seconds later startled Sam and her eyes shot open. She didn't have time to process who it was or what was happening before she heard Brooke's voice once more. This time, it wasn't muffled. She could make out clearly what her foster mom was saying.

"Where is she? I know she's in here!" Sam heard Brooke say angrily from the entryway. She could only assume that Brooke had some sort or weapon or pepper spray based on the agonizing scream from Xavier. Sam tried to yell through the duct tape. She began fighting against her restraints with all of her strength and trying to make as much noise as possible so that Brooke could find her.

Brooke Davis had spent all of last night and the current day worried sick and trying to track down her foster daughter. When she'd finally remembered about Jack, she'd gotten an address from Haley and booked it over to his house as quickly as possible. She was about to deem it as another dead end, but four, simple words from Xavier connected all of the dots in her head and made her understand everything.

"Have a nice night," was what her attacker had said in that same, eerie way that Xavier had said to her just now when she was leaving. That's when she knew: X had attacked her, and Samantha was trapped inside of that house. Brooke's motherly instincts kicked in, and without a second thought, she turned around filled with adrenaline and banged on the door.

"Where is she? I know she's in here!" she yelled through gritted teeth, all while whipping out a can of pepper spray from her purse and spraying X in the face. He fell to the floor and the two struggled for a moment as he kept trying to get, but Brooke kicked him back down.

"Sam!" She called out in a panic, leaving X on the floor while she started her frantic search for Sam.

"Sam!" She continued calling several more times before she finally opened the closet door and found the horrible sight of her foster daughter bound up sitting helplessly in the dark.

"Oh my God," She muttered. Brooke felt like throwing up. Part of her felt relieved to find Sam, but the larger part of her was absolutely horrified. She instantly knelt down to help her child.

"Okay, okay, okay. Okay, It's okay. It's okay," She repeated, trying to calm Sam down as much as she could as she peeled the tape off of her mouth. "It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay."

"Brooke, he's the one who attacked you, you have to get out of here!" Sam cried desperately.

"I know. I'm not leaving you here."

"You have to get out of here!"

"I AM NOT LEAVING YOU HERE," Brooke repeated firmly, her voice filled with emotion.

It was at that moment that X snuck up behind and grabbed Brooke, slamming her to the ground.

"No, leave her alone!" Sam screamed. She tried to get up, but couldn't due to the duct tape restraints. She wriggled and struggled with all of her might, and she could hear Brooke and X fighting from the next room over. After a minute or two of grunting and squirming, she finally broke free from the tape and leapt to her feet. She ran to where Brooke and X were, but stopped dead in her tracks when saw X kneeling on the floor, and Brooke towering over him, holding a gun to his head.

"Brooke..?" No… she can't do this!

"I hate you." Brooke said with one hundred percent meaning behind her words, not breaking eye contact with X. Anger completely consumed her, and she didn't care about anything else in that moment besides getting justice for herself and for Sam. She barely even registered when Sam entered the room. Nothing else mattered.

"Brooke, please. Please don't. Please," Sam cried in desperation. She was no idiot; Brooke would end up in prison if she shot Xavier, and It wasn't fair! That would almost be like letting him win if Brooke were to get locked up, and Brooke didn't deserve that. Besides, then where would Sam go? Brooke was all she had, and she couldn't bear losing her if she went to prison. But Brooke ignored her pleas. She maintained eye contact with her attacker, ready to pull the trigger. At the same time, Jack entered the doorway with Julian, whom he had tracked down for help.

"I need you mom."

Those four words are what did it. Brooke's heart skipped a beat and she looked up at Sam with a pained expression, and she understood. She couldn't abandon her foster daughter over this.

"I hate you so much. But you're not worth any more of my time, and you're not worth my life," she told X, her voice filled with pure hatred. She hit him hard across the face with the gun and kicked him in the stomach for good measure. "You have a nice night," she spat.

Once Sam could tell that Brooke was finished with X, she tearfully ran straight into Brooke's embrace. "I'm so sorry," she cried. Although it was clear that Brooke was in no way upset with her, an immense amount of guilt still plagued her and she felt as though she owed Brooke an apology.

"It's okay, it's okay," Brooke cried, barely above a whisper. "You're safe, you're okay, it's okay," she stroked Sam's hair with one hand and held her tight with the other. The two stayed like that for several more seconds, but finally the two separated, although Brooke kept her arm around Sam's side and continued to hold her close.

"Police are on the way," Julian informed the girls once their moment was over.

Brooke gave him a meaningful look full of gratitude. She released her grip on Sam and went to Julian, wrapping her arms around him. "Thank you for being here," she whispered.

Julian accepted her hug and returned the embrace. "Of course, Brooke," he said seriously.

"Sam, are you okay, I'm so so sorry oh my God," Jack said in a pained tone as he walked up to Sam's side. "I would never have brought you here if I would have known…"

"Jack it's okay this isn't your fault," Sam wrapped her arms around him gently. "It's not your fault."
