Considering this is my first FanFic, I'm very happy with the way it had turned out! I swear on the River Styx that I won't stop posting until I finish this Fanfic!(which may be awhile)
Keith had just finished training with the gladiators when he decided to go to the control room and see where everyone else was. On his way there, he ran into Coran.
.
"Hello, Keith. You have quite a lot of speed on you." Coran said
.
"W-What?" He responded
.
"Well, if you already checked on the Red Lion and then came all the way back here, you must be very fast."
.
"I have no idea what you're talking about?"
.
"I'm talking about how you-...wait…That wasn't you was it?"
.
"Coran, what are you talking about!? What do you mean 'That wasn't you'!?" At this point Keith was VERY confused
.
"I-I think someone has snuck on the ship…"
.
"What! Who!"
.
"I don't know…I mistook them for you and asked them for help with the Red Lion…Then they ran."
.
"Well whoever that was, it wasn't me! We have to find them!"
.
"Let's warn the others!"
.
Together he and Coran ran toward the Control room. When they opened the door, Coran warned Princess Allura about the unknown person.
.
"Princess, there's someone on the ship-"
.
Coran stopped and both him and Keith stood there stunned. In front of them was a boy who looked no older than 16.
.
He appeared to be human, but there was still a chance he wasn't. The boy had a pale complexion, like he hadn't seen the sun in years, he wore an aviator's jacket, ripped black jeans, and a skull shirt.
.
"Who are you!" Keith promptly asked
.
"I could ask you the same question!" the mysterious boy responded
.
"I asked first!"
.
.
.
.
After a moment of silence between everyone; the boy Nico assumed to be Keith spoke up.
.
"Who are you!"
.
Not knowing how else to respond, Nico said, "I could ask you the same question!"
.
"I asked first!"
.
Nico was liking this person less and less. He was about to give a retort when someone else spoke up.
.
"Calm down everybody…"
.
It was the man dressed in black. Nico turned to face him. He had the aura of a leader, and Nico could tell everyone else respected him.
.
.
.
The man looked Nico in the eyes, he appeared calm and collected despite the situation.
.
"Who are you? What do you want with us?"
.
"You tell me! One of you brought me here!"
.
"I have no clue what you're talking about, but we don't know who you are."
.
Nico stared at him, he didn't appear to be lying.
.
Nico was about to answer, he was going to tell them that he shadow-traveled here by accident and he didn't know where he was, when a chill went down his spine.
.
Instinctively, he drew his sword and whipped around, facing towards Keith and the mustache man. He saw Keith moving in with his sword, white with red accents.
.
As quickly as he could, he brought his sword up and intercepted Keith's.
.
"KEITH!?" Nico glanced behind him to see everyone looking at Keith in surprise. He assumed that Keith was the reckless type.
.
Keith kicked him in the stomach sending him tumbling backwards.
.
Nico got back up and went into a fighting stance.
.
Keith also struck a stance and Nico could tell he was a skilled fighter.
.
The two clashed in battle and from the corner of his eye, he could see the others freaking out, attempting to stop them.
.
Nico didn't take lightly to being attacked, though if the man in black was telling the truth, he could see why Keith would attack.
.
.
.
.
The team watched as Keith and the new kid fought. Shiro tried to stop them, but they were so engrossed in their fight they didn't even hear him.
.
Even Allura couldn't do anything to stop them.
.
As they watched the fight unfold, it became clear that Keith was on the losing side.
.
The mysterious boy backed Keith into a corner, and they knew they had to help him.
.
They all pulled out their bayards and joined Keith.
.
.
.
.
Nico was impressed.
.
This Keith dude had talent. He shuddered when imagined what Keith could do if he had as much training as Nico.
.
Unfortunately, he didn't.
.
Nico could tell he was winning, and he knew Keith could tell as well. He brought his sword down on Keith when something deflected it.
.
The sword clattered out of his hand and he turned to see the boy in blue holding some kind of sniper. He fired and a glowing blue bullet came flying towards him.
.
Nico jumped away and grabbed his sword from the ground. The undetermined in green came running towards him holding a small green thing. They arched it over their head and swung it down at Nico.
.
He brought his sword up and intercepted the green thing. Their weapon looked harmless, but he knew from experience that things are not always what they seem.
.
Nico glanced around to see the boy in blue aiming his weapon at him. The man in black, Keith, and the dude in yellow were standing around him.
.
The boy in yellow had some sort of hand-held cannon, Keith had his sword, but the man in black was unarmed.
.
"Pidge, that's enough." It was the girl in the dress. Nico glanced in her direction before focusing back on the undetermined.
.
They backed off and lowered their weapon, Nico watched as everyone around him did something similar, even Keith.
.
Nico lowered his weapon as well, wanting to avoid any more fights. He was outnumbered, and he still didn't know what the green thing did.
.
Nico stood up straight. Hoping to show that he wasn't a threat, he sheathed his sword.
.
"I apologize for Keith's recklessness" Again it was the girl, she appeared to be some sort of diplomat, and like the man in black, everyone seemed to respect her.
.
"I am Princess Allura of Planet Altea, I would like to know your reason for invading my castle."
.
Nico was confused, he didn't recall any person from mythology named 'Princess Allura' he also didn't know anything of this 'Planet Altea'.
.
Maybe it was something from Roman mythology that didn't have a Greek equivalent, like Reyna's mother, Bellona. If this girl used magic, it would explain how he was pulled here.
.
Everyone looked at him expectantly, but Nico said nothing, they looked like humans, but he knew the mist can fool demi-gods.
.
One thing concerned him, if they were monsters, why did they confuse him for Keith. Wouldn't they be able to discern a half-blood from a monster? Then again, he new of times were monsters got confused, like Grover's experience with the cyclopes (Percy told him the story multiple times)
.
He studied the people around him, aside from the markings and the pointed ears Princess Allura and the Mustache man possessed, there was nothing that could point them out as monsters. He started to wonder if these really were just humans.
.
Still, the weapons they possess are not like anything he'd ever seen before.
.
He had no clue what the green thing did, the blue one shot something that was definitely not bullets, he didn't know if the yellow one shot something else as well, and the metal they were made of didn't look like anything he had seen before.
.
That combined with the futuristic technology around him, he was almost certain they were not normal.
.
"Please, we mean you no harm, I would only like to know why you are here." Again the Princess spoke. She seemed genuine when she said they didn't want to hurt him, but the look in Keith's eyes said something else.
.
"Princess Allura, I think it's clear now that he's here for the lions!" Keith glared at him as he said that. Nico didn't know what he was referring too, but the mustache man said something about lions as well.
.
"Keith, we don't know that for sure. Plus, he doesn't look like Galra, he looks human." It was the man in black this time, he put his hand on Keith's shoulder, and Keith relaxed a little. He seemed to be like Chiron, someone who people trusted easily.
.
Nico didn't know who the Galra were. At this point, he knew too little to act.
.

.
He was outnumbered, in an unknown place, without any clue as to what they were talking about. The only advantage he had was that they didn't know who he was. But he didn't know who they were either.
.
In short, he couldn't afford to tell them anything without knowing more about the situation.
.
"Who are you guys and where am I?" He thought it was a pretty straightforward question, Princess Allura and the man in black looked like they would be open for discussion, so he was a little surprised when they all looked at him in confusion.
.
"Don't you know where we are, you boarded this ship?" It was the boy in yellow, he seemed nice, and looked genuinely confused with his question.
.
Nico was confused as well.
.
"Ship? Like a spaceship?"
.
"Not just any spaceship, you're aboard the Castle of Lions" It was the mustache man, he looked proud to be able to say that.
.
"the Castle of what?"
.
"My boy, don't you know where you are?"
.
"No! I don't!" Nico was starting to get scared. If this was a spaceship, was he in space? He knew shadow-travel could take him far, but he'd never thought it could take him into space.
.
Slowly things started to make sense. If he was in space, then these could be aliens. That would explain the markings and pointed ears.
.
It would explain what they meant by 'Galra'. They could be referring to some sort of alien race, and this technology looks so futuristic because it's not from Earth.
.
It would also explain the weird weapons and foreign metal.
.
"Am I in space!?" Nico was hoping the answer was no. Unfortunately, things rarely happened in his favor.
.
"Why of course you are!" The mustache man and the Princess looked a little confused, but the others looked surprised.
.
"Wait, are you from Earth?" The undetermined asked.
.
"Yes!"
.
"How'd you get here!?"
.
"I was hoping you'd know!"
.
"Are you really buying that!" Keith interrupted their conversation. Nico could tell he wasn't someone who trusted easily, but Nico needed them to trust him if he was to get back home.
.
"Keith, he seems to be telling the truth. He doesn't look alien" Nico was glad the undetermined believed him, maybe they could help him get home.
.
"But he fights like one, and as long as he has a weapon, he's a threat"
.
"You attacked first"
.
"'Cause he didn't answer!"
.
"So!?" The two stepped towards each other
.
"Keith has a point, Pidge" The man in black stepped between them, and both Pidge and Keith backed off.
.
.
.
.
The man in black turned towards Nico and locked eyes with him.
.
"I don't understand how you got all the way out here, if you could tell us, we could resolve this issue."
.
Nico didn't answer, he didn't think he should tell them about shadow-travel.
.
"See! He can't answer 'cause he's not from Earth!" Keith stepped towards him and pointed his sword in Nico's face.
.
Instinctively, Nico's hand went to his sword. Keith took notice of this and charged, again.
.
Nico cursed internally as he drew his sword and fought Keith.
.
He could tell that his response lessened any trust he had with the undetermined as they aimed their green thing at him and fired it.
.
The triangle thing shot off of the handle and wrapped around Nico, it was attached to the handle with a thick green cord. He couldn't move.
.
The group walked towards him, and at that moment, a shadow passed over him. He used that opportunity to shadow-travel.
.
.
.
.
The group was surprised as the boy suddenly disappeared, leaving only Pidge's rope.
.
"See! I told you he couldn't be trusted!" Keith said angrily.
.
Pidge sighed before responding, "Ok, you were right. He's probably not from Earth"
.
"It doesn't matter where he's from, we need to find where he is now!" Allura was checking the cameras to find where the new boy went.
.
Suddenly, they watched him appear on the screen. He didn't just walk onto it, he appeared out of the shadows. It's like they bended and shifted around him.
.
He leaned against the wall, looking drained. They were surprised, when he was in front of them, he looked perfectly fine, now he looks like he's about to pass out.
.
He walked to the nearest door, the door to the training room, and entered.
.
Keith was the first out the door, everyone else followed.
.
.
.
.
Nico tried to shadow-travel back home, but whatever force pulled him here, was not helping him get back. He entered the shadow-world, but no matter how much he focused on camp, he couldn't travel there.
.
He started to freak out, he tried to travel to the underworld, maybe his father could help, but he couldn't travel there either.
.
He was panicking, he tried to travel anywhere on Earth: London, China, Camp Jupiter, even New Rome University; but nothing worked.
.
He thought about Hazel, he wondered if he would ever get to apologize. He was losing energy, he could feel his grip over the shadows sliping.
.
He thought about Will, right now he would give anything to see his smiling face, to hold his hand, to kiss him, to feel that warm energy Will always radiated.
.
He thought about Piper, they had become good friends over the past months. He missed talking about life, she was so down to earth, so easy to talk to.
.
He thought about Reyna, she had become a sister to him. She had made him feel like he belonged for the first time in his life.
.
He thought about everyone in his life; Leo, Percy, Annabeth, Kayla, Austin, even Frank. He wondered if he would ever see them again.
.
That was when he lost control, he appeared in another hallway. He was still on the ship, he was terrified now. He couldn't get back home, he couldn't travel to his father's realm, he might never see his friends again.
.
He leaned up against a wall, he was exhausted from his failed travels. Still, Nico knew he couldn't stay in one place for long.
.
This ship might have escape pods, if they had some sort of GPS or something to give him directions, he could gather supplies and find Earth himself.
.
He walked to the nearest door and entered whatever room it led to.
.
When Nico entered, he found an empty room with lines around it like the storage room he first traveled to.
.
Suddenly, three holes in the ceiling opened up and three robots fell out of them. They used weapons that looked like the pilum he saw the figure use before.
.
They all attacked him simultaneously, he was tired, but he raised his sword and fought.
.
.
.
The team watched him from the training room control deck.
.
"Coran, using the gladiators to fight him was brilliant!" Lance grinned while looking at Coran before shifting his attention back to the mysterious boy.
.
"He's correct, Coran. This way, we can tire him out and learn more about his skills without worrying about losing." Pidge said as she studied the boy's fighting style.
.
"Thank you, Lance, Pidge."
.
"He's pretty good, he would have beaten Keith if we hadn't stepped in." Lance said smugly, Keith gave him a death glare before responding.
.
"You wouldn't have done any better!"
.
"Guys, that doesn't matter right now" Shiro stepped between them and made them focus back on the boy.
.
They watched him fight, they could all tell he was good, but he was quickly tiring. His movements were getting sloppy and he was mostly on defense, but he was still quite good.
.
.
.
.
Nico was losing.
.
He could tell he was making excess movements, but he was too tired to fix it.
.
He sensed them watching, a bunch of cowards, leaving the battle to others. He glared in their direction, he couldn't see them, but he knew they could see him.
.
One of the robots hit him hard.
.
He was flung backwards into the wall and blacked out, the last thing he saw was them getting shut down.
.
.
.
.
The team was shocked.
.
How did he know they were there?
.
Suddenly, one of the gladiators hit him and he went flying backwards.
.
He hit the wall and collapsed.
.
Shiro then shut the simulation down, and they all stood there in silence.
.
.
