Sorry this is late. I've had a cold this past week and didn't have the energy or inspiration to write. So this was basically written in a day.

Nico woke up after gods know how long.

.

He looked around and saw the mustache man and the Princess. They were facing away from him, Mustache man was standing over some sort of control board and the Princess was standing on a platform with her hands resting on piller looking things.

.

He tried to move but he was tied to his chair. Allura glanced back at him before turning towards him completely and yelling.

.

"He's awake now!"

.

The Mustache Man turned around and from behind Nico walked the other people. They stood before him and watched him.

.

"What do you all want!?" Nico all but yelled.

.

"Will you quit playing dumb! You snuck on this ship!" Keith yelled back at him.

.

"I didn't mean too!"

.

"How can you 'not mean too'!"

.

Nico was going to tell them he shadow-traveled, but he thought against it. He stayed silent and Keith scoffed at him.

.

After a moment of silence between everyone, Nico asked the question he really wanted an answer to.

.

"How far away from Earth are we?"

.

The mustache man raised an eyebrow before hopping onto the platform that the Princess was on.

.

"Let's take a look, shall we."

.

He brought one of his hands up and some sort of holographic map pulled up.

.

"Currently, we're here. While Earth's solar system is aaaallllll tttthhhheeeee wwwaaaayyyyy oooovvvveeeerrrr"

.

He continued like that. As he spoke, Nico's eyes widened.

.

He could feel a panic attack coming. He attempted to calm himself, just like Will had taught him, but the thought of his boyfriend only made him panic more.

.

The shadows responded to his emotions and started to swirl around him.

.

"You're Lying!" Nico screamed at the man, tears starting to form in his eyes.

.

"There's No Way We're That Far!" The group looked at him.

.

"I'm afraid we are..."

.

"No. no no no no no NO!"

.

At that last word, all the power that had built up inside him erupted.

.

The group was flung away from Nico, and the binds that had restricted him were broken.

.

.

.

Nico ran.

.

He didn't know where he was going but he needed to get away.

.

He needed to find something that would prove they were lying.

.

He ran into a room to find what looked to be a giant red lion.

.

Unknowing of what to do now, Nico sat down on one of the lion's paws.

.

That's when he couldn't take it any longer.

.

He brought his knees to his chest and cried. He cried out of sadness, he cried out of grief. He let any emotions he had inside come out.

.

He didn't know how long he cried, but eventually, he saw a form shimmer in front of him.

.

He brought his head up and saw a nebulae. She looked like the girl Percy described to work for the goddess Iris. What was her name? Fleecy, that was it. She was holding a scroll and was squinting at what it read.

.

"Are you...Nico?" She asked without looking at him.

.

"Y-yea, I am...are you Fleecy? The cloud nymph that works for Lady Iris?" He responded while rubbing his eyes.

.

"I am! Did that Percy Jackson tell you about me!"

.

"Yea, he did. If I may, why are you looking for me?"

.

"I have a message for you, if you're willing to take it."

.

"Who's it from?" Nico asked skeptically, he was hoping it was from Hazel or his father, but he didn't know.

.

"Let me see..." She looked at her scroll again. "Oh..."

.

"What is it?"

.

"The message...it's from the Fates...would you still like to hear it?" She looked back at him.

.

Nico didn't know how to respond. But the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.

.

Not many people can change his course while shadow-traveling, and even less could pull him into space; but why would the Fates do this?

.

The only way to know is to hear the message, so he responded.

.

"Yea, what does it say?"

.

Fleecy turned her attention back to the scroll and read.

.

"Dear Nico Di Angelo,

We give our apologize for pulling you so far from home, but it was necessary. A war is happening, and if Earth is to remain safe, you must help. Of the gods, only Iris is aware of what we have done, but the Olympians will know soon. We must tell you, your abilities will work the same here as on Earth, but the Mist will not help to cover them up. When you have successfully defeated the threat, we will return you home; but until then, you must remain here. We will help you Iris-Message your fellow half-bloods one last time, but be aware, after this one message, you will be unable to Iris-Message them again until you return home. You are to help the Paladins of Voltron defeat the Galra. With that, we will leave you.

Nico was too stunned to speak.

.

The Fates specifically chose him to defend Earth from some Alien species.

.

"Would you like to IM your friends now or later?" Nico was pulled from his thoughts and responded.

.

"Now, please and thanks" Fleecy smiled and nodded before disappearing.

.

Where she was standing, a rainbow appeared and an Iris-Message started.

.

On the other end, Nico saw his friends. Hazel, Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Frank, Renya, and of course, Will.

.

They appeared to be having some sort of meeting, when Hazel saw Nico.

.

"Oh Gods, Nico!" Immediately all eyes turned on him. Nico saw Leo sigh with relief.

.

Suddenly, a trillion questions sprang from them.

.

"Where have you been!?"

.

"Are you okay!?"

.

"Do you know how worried we've been!?"

.

"Where are you now!?"

.

And a million others. Nico smiled before bursting into tears again.

.

They all went silent, worryness evident in their eyes.

.

When Nico recovered himself, he looked at them all.

.

"I'm so sorry guys..." He said with tears still in his eyes. Percy spoke up.

.

"What's wrong? Where are you?"

.

"It's- uh...It's the Fates..." They all tensed, Will looked terrified. "I- uh... They brought me far from home..."

.

"How far...?" Piper asked carefully.

.

"Farther than I've ever gone before..."

.

"Farther than China?" Frank asked.

.

"Farther than China." Nico confirmed.

.

"I probably won't be back for a while..."

.

"Is it a quest?" Percy asked again.

.

"Yea, kinda...When I finish, they said that they'd bring me back home, but I don't know when that will be. They allowed me to IM you guys, but after this, I won't be able to contact you again..."

.

"Please, come home soon..." Will finally spoke up. He looked like he was going to cry.

.

"I'll try, I love you, okay..." Will nodded, tears brimming his eyes. At that moment, an auto-mated voice told them that they only had a few more seconds.

.

"I'm gonna miss you guys..."

.

"Wait, Nico-" Annabeth started to say, but the IM cut off.

.

Nico sat there for a little longer, tears started to fall from his eyes.

.

.

.

The team stood there in silence.

.

They had seen it all, or at least most of it.

.

He really was stuck here, and he really was from Earth.

.

Still, a lot of things confused them. From whatever 'Iris-Messaging' is to the shimmering girl.

.

Lance nudged Keith's shoulder.

.

"What!?" Keith hissed quietly.

.

"Go comfort him." Lance responded.

.

"Why me!"

.

"Because you're the one that attacked him in the first place!"

.

Keith sighed, as much as he hated to admit it, Lance had a point. So, Keith quietly approached the boy.

.

He sat down next to him and rested his hand on his shoulder.

.

The boy glanced up. When he saw Keith, he quickly crawled backwards.

.

"Relax, I'm not going to hurt you..." Keith tried to make his voice soothing, but he wasn't sure it was working.

.

"Your name's Nico, right?"

.

Nico slowly nodded in response.

.

"My name's Keith."

.

"I know..."

.

"Great. Now, listen, we kinda overheard some of your conversations...and...I guess I believe you now..."

.

Nico just stared at him before asking.

.

"Who's 'we'...?"

.

"well..."

.

Keith motioned behind him to the rest on the team in the doorway.

.

"oh..."

.

Hunk smiled and waved at Nico nervously. Nico just stared at them before turning back to Keith

.

"okay...I have a question."

.

"What's up?"

.

"Where can I find the Paladins of Voltron?" Keith gave him a wry smile before answering

.

"You're looking at them"

.

"That's actually pretty convenient."

.

"How so?" Hunk butted in.

.

"I'm assuming it's about what the shimmering girl said, that if he helps the Paladins of Voltron defeat the Galra, he can go back home." Pidge said as she stood beside
Hunk.

.

"Ohh that makes sense!"

.

"Shimmering Girl?" Nico asked

.

"The girl that was talking to you before that rainbow message with your friends" Keith said

.

"The nebulae?" Nico asked to confirm

.

"Is that what they're called?"

.

"Yea, cloud nymphs"

.

Princess Allura stepped forward.

.

"Please, come to the dining hall so we can talk."

.

.

.

.

Nico was led to the dinning hall.

.

On the way, the other paladins introduced themselves.

.

The one in yellow was Hunk, black was Shiro, the undetermined in green was named Pidge (which did not help him determine their gender), the boy in blue was
Lance, and the Mustache man was Coran. They were basically color-coded which helped Nico as he was terrible with names.

.

As they sat down, Nico turned to Pidge and asked a really weird question.

.

"Are you a boy or a girl?"

.

Lance burst out laughing.

.

"Oh- well... I"

.

"Are you non-binary? Or gender-fluid? Cause, that's fine, I just want to know" He added quickly

.

"No, I'm a girl, it's just that no one has ever asked that..."

.

"Yea, sorry. I just didn't know..."

.

"It's fine..."

.

They sat there in awkward silence for a couple seconds before Shiro spoke up.

.

"Your from Earth, right"

.

"Yea"

.

"Then how did you know the cloud nymph, and what are 'the fates', and how did you disappear like that?"

.

Nico didn't know if he should tell them about the gods, but he needed their trust if he is to get home quickly.

.

"Do you know of the Greek gods?"

.

"Those myths?" Pidge asked

.

"Yea, well they're not myths. They exist, you guys just can't see them."

.

"What!?" Hunk exclaimed "If I knew that I would have paid more attention in class!"

.

"Why can't we see them?" Pidge asked

.

"The goddess Hecate controls this force, it's called the Mist. It confuses human senses, making them see things in a way they can understand. An angry harpy could become a bad-tempered chicken, a glowing sword could become a baseball bat. My favorite is when they perceived a fight between the gods and the immortal being Typhon as a hurricane system." Nico responded

.

"But you can see them?" Shiro asked

.

"What was the most common thing the gods did in the old stories"

.

"I don't know, to be honest I don't remember anything from those classes" Shiro said sheepishly

.

"If I remember correctly, most gods and goddesses, like Apollo and Aphrodite, went around having children." Pidge said. She seemed to have paid attention in class.

.

"Exactly" Nico pointed a fork in Pidges direction.

.

"They still do that. Their children are called Demi-gods, or half-bloods. Half-mortal and half-god."

.

"What about it?" Lance asked as he grabbed a plate from Hunk.

.

"The mist doesn't affect demi-gods the same as it does mortals. It can still fool them sometimes, but they can see more than mortals."

.

"What does this have to do with you- ohhhhh." Pidge said in realization.

.

"I'm still confused, what does this have to do with him?" Hunk said as he gave Nico a plate of food.

.

"You're a demi-god aren't you." Pidge asked, she didn't seem weirded out, she seemed intrigued.

.

"Bingo" Nico said as he stabbed a fork into his food.

.

"Okay, that explains a bit, but what was that rainbow message thing?" Lance asked

.

"Iris-Messaging?"

.

"Yea that thing"

.

"The goddess Iris carries messages for the gods, like Hermes. If you know how to ask, and she's not too busy, she'll do the same for demi-gods."

.

"Oh, that makes sense." Lance said as he stuffed a piece of food into his mouth.

.

"Who's your parent?" Keith asked, Nico almost forgot he was here, he's actually pretty quiet. He wondered if that's what his friends used to think when he randomly appeared
from the shadows.

.

"That's complicated"

.

"How so?"

.

Nico sighed.

.

"A long time ago, the big three swore on the River Styx to never have children again."

.

"Who are 'the big three' and why did they do that?" Shiro asked

.

"Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, to demi-gods, they're known as the big three. As for why they did that, after World War II, which was actually just a fight between their children, they decided that their children were too powerful, then there was the Big Prophecy. All of that combined, they deemed it too risky to have kids. They swore to never have children."

.

"What do you mean by 'Big Prophecy'?" Coran asked

.

"After World War II, the Oracle of Delphi, prophesied that the first child of the Big Three to turn 16 would make a choice that would either destroy or save Olympus. Hades already had two children from before the oath, Zeus was upset and attempted to kill them. Hades saved them, but he failed to save their mother. He then sent one of his servants to wash them in the River Lethe, the river of forgetfulness. After making sure they wouldn't remember anything, he left them in the Lotus Casino. Time passes differently there, so they aged very slowly. Years later, Zeus had a child, her name was Thalia. Hades was angry and sent the worst of the monsters to kill her. A satyr was assigned to guide her to Camp safely, along with some of the demi-gods she had befriended. They almost made it, but too many monsters were after them. Thalia told the satyr to guild the other two to safety while she held off the monsters. He couldn't change her mind, so he obliged. She made her last stand alone. While she was dying, Zeus took pity on her and turned her into a Pine Tree. Her spirit protected the borders of Camp for years. Around 5 years later, another kid showed up, Percy Jackson was the son of Posiedon. At the time, Zeus's master bolt had been stolen. Zeus blamed Posiedon and said that Percy had committed the theft. Percy found the master bolt that was actually stolen by Luke Castellan, son of Hermes. After he returned it, Zeus accepted Percy as a demi-god, at least for the time being. Hades freed his kids from the Lotus Casino. Luke poisoned Thalia's tree attempting to weaken the barriers of camp, he was working with Cronus to destroy the Olympians. Percy and Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, went on a quest in order to retrieve the Golden Fleece, thinking it would heal the tree. When they returned with it, it healed the tree, but it also revived Thalia."

"So let me get this straight. The gods made a pact to never have children, but Hades already had two children, so Zeus attempted to kill them." Pidge asked

.

"Correct" Nico confirmed

.

"Then, Hades put them in a hotel where time passes differently" She continued

.

"Yup."

.

"Zeus later had a child. She died and he turned her into a tree. Then a child of Poseidon came along and Zeus accepted him after he found something that was stolen.
The same demi-god that stole that item poisoned the tree because he was conspiring against the gods."

.

"So far so good"

.

"The son of Posiedon and another demi-god went on a quest to find a fleece that was supposed to heal the tree. Except when they used it, it not only healed the tree,
but it resurrected the daughter of Zeus."

.

"Pretty much"

.

"Are we done yet?" Lance complained

.

"Not even half-way"

.

"Oh come on!"

.

"About a year after the quest for the fleece and Thalia's resurrection, Thalia and Percy found the children of Hades. Hades's daughter was about 12, while his son was
around 10. Thalia was about to turn 16, while Percy was 14. The goddess Artimes and the demi-god Annabeth got kidnapped by Luke and Cronus. The daughter of Hades joined the Hunters of Artimes and went on the quest to rescue them. During the quest, she sacrificed herself so the others could live. They ended up fighting the Titan Atlas, he was also the father of Artemis's lieutenant. Atlas killed his daughter. They ended up defeating Atlas and forced him to continue holding the sky. Afterwards, the questers went to Olympus and stood before the gods. That was when Thalia decided to join the Hunters. Since the Hunters don't age, she would never turn 16. When the remaining questers went back to camp, the son of Hades learned of his sister's death. He blamed Percy for her death and ran away. Until then, no one had known of their parenthood, but because of Percy's encounter with the son of Hades, he and Annabeth knew. One year later, the Camp became aware of an entrance to the Labyrinth that existed within. In an attempt to make sure Luke and his allies couldn't use it to enter Camp, they issued another quest to make sure they never found Daedalus, the creater of the Labyrinth. Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson found the son of Hades in the Labyrinth. He wanted to exchange Daedalus's soul for his sister's. They were able to contact his sister through his abilities to talk to spirits. She told him that it wasn't Percy's fault and that he shouldn't try to revive her. He listened to her and stopped blaming Percy. The four questers went on to find Daedalus, but not before Luke. Fortunately, they succeeded in holding off the attack and destroying the Labyrinth. Over the next school year, the son of Hades informed Percy of a way he could fight Luke and survive. Percy and Beckendorf, the son of Hephestus, went on a mission to destroy the ship Luke and allies were on, in an attempt to dwindle numbers. They succeeded in destroying the ship, but Beckendorf didn't survive. That was when Percy learned that his father was currently in a war with the ancient sea gods who had sided with Cronus."

"Hold on" Hunk protested while rubbing his head

.

"If the children of the Big Three are super powerful, and Luke is the son of Hermes, then why would Percy not survive if he fought him?"

.

"Luke had merged with Cronus, giving him a body and bringing him back from Tartarus" Nico responded

.

"Oh" Hunk said nothing else as Nico continued.

.

"Afterwards, Percy went along with the son of Hades's plan. He went to the underworld, where Hades captured him. Hades wanted his son to be the bearer of the Prophecy and the Savior of Olympus. His son freed Percy and together they made their way to River Styx. Percy bathed in the river and bore the curse of Achilles. They found out that Luke had also bore the curse of Achilles"

"Pause. Achilles is the dude with the heel, right?" Lance asked

.

"Yes, his mother dipped him in the River Styx, but she was holding him by his heel. He gained super strength and was almost unbeatable in battle, but when an enemy struck his heel, he died."

.

"Just by hiting his heel?"

.

"Again, yes. As the price for amazing powers, they have to choose a spot on their body to be their 'Achilles Heel'. This is their one weak spot, if something strikes it, no matter where it is, they will die. Continuing, Percy then defeated an entire army of undead warriors. He went back to Manhattan and gathered the demi-gods. The son of Hades stayed in the underworld to try and persuade Hades to help protect the world. The demi-gods fought against Luke, the Hunters of Artimes joined them. Eventually, Hades, his son, Persephone, and Demter came and helped them as well. Percy ended up on Olympus with Annabeth and Luke. Luke and Annabeth were the two demi-gods that had originally befriended Thalia. Annabeth reminded Luke of his promise to never betray her. He was able to regain some control of his body. He asked for the knife he gave Annabeth so he could strike his Achilles heel. That was also the day that Percy had turned 16. This was his choice, he could give the knife to Luke or he could not. He chose to give it to him. Luke struck his Achilles heel and died, his last words were telling Percy to never let it happen again. All the demi-gods that fought with Luke had joined him because they thought that the gods never cared about them. Because he saved Olympus, Zeus offered Percy one wish, anything, even to become immortal. Percy declined the offer of immortality and instead made all the gods swear on the River Styx that all demi-gods will be brought to camp and claimed before they turn 13. He also made them promise to stop discriminating against the children of the Big Three, or any of the minor gods. The camp then built cabins for the children of the minor gods. Any questions?"

They all sat there in silence. After processing everything Nico had just said, Keith responded.

.

"What does this have to do with your parentage?"

.

"Backstory" Nico responded as he finally took a bite of the food.

.

"How is this a backstory- Wait...Your the son of Hades aren't you?"

.

"Yup. A lot has happened since then, we discovered the Romans and defeated Gaea, but that's a story for another time."

.

"What's this camp you kept mentioning?" Pidge asked

.

"It's a camp for demi-gods. They go there to train and learn to survive. Since monsters will attack them in the mortal world. Some campers only attend in the summer, those are the children of gods and goddesses like Aphrodite or Demeter. They're not real powerful forces, so they can live in the mortal world the rest of the year. But for demi-gods like Percy and me, we attract monsters in the mortal world, so we're really supposed to go year-round. Percy doesn't though, he's somehow able to deal with monsters and go to school. Now he goes to college at New Rome University, a school for demi-gods that has its own protection, but before that he basically got expelled from every school he went to."

.

The others just nodded.

.

"Can we take a break from information, my brain hurts!" Lance complained

.

Nico just continued eating, whatever this stuff was, it was good. Not as good as Mr D's popcorn or Ambrosia, but still pretty good.

.

After Dinner, Allura showed Nico to his room. She told him that they would be training tomorrow if he wished to participate. He told her that group training wasn't his
thing. She said that he could train with the gladiators, those were the robots he fought against earlier. Nico thanked her and said goodnight.

.

That night he slept peacefully. He assumed his prophetic dreams didn't work the same in space, or maybe he was too tired to really dream. Either way, he wasn't complaining.

.

I know this moved along rather quickly, but I needed to get to the main plot of the story. I also know it's painfully boring to read the part when he explains the events of the PJO series, but I need the VLD characters to understand what happened so future chapters make sense. Sorry again that this is late, and that it was rushed. While I was rereading it, I got VERY frustrated with how close the lines are, but for some reason, when I attempt to double-space it, it returns back to single space when I try to save it. If you guys have any suggestions so it doesn't look at crowded, pls tell me.
