Aftermath of the Dark War Chapter 33: Tournament Games Part 1: Water War by Jurassicfatt

Allie's Pov, 3 Days Later, Omni Sports Tournament, Afternoon

My nerves are all over the place. The last event involved impalement and boiling oil. Thank God Vivian was considerate enough to select more 'human-friendly' games, or I'd feel a lot worse right now. I still don't know what three sports were chosen for my match against Chelsea. When advisor Mervin and Vivian launched the poll, the numbers were drawn in almost no time. The two told me that all the necessary gear and paperwork would be provided. All I had to do was sign them, go to the tailor, and then compete. I was also told that all the rules and stipulations will be explained prior to us competing, so both the competitors and crowd can understand how they score the bout. The only information I have is that the first sporting event is water-based, the second one focuses on endurance, and the third on combat. Not much to go on, but it's a start. Chelsea hasn't been in an Omni Sports event, but she has competed in other tournaments, so she's got a bit of an advantage. That and I haven't done much sports since I went to the gym back on Earth, and those few amateur wrestling gigs I did in college.

A few tournament games are the least of my worries. Rosemary told me about her chat with the amulet voice, now known as 'the Shadow'. Certrius was scary enough, but now the other Warlord James Mitchell is alive too! And he's the one that's been contacting me in my dreams! What kind of bad luck have I gotten myself into? I should have never touched that Jewel in the first place. I'd still be on Earth, working at my shop and wouldn't have to deal with any magic-wielding War criminals hunting me at every turn.

Yes, but you also would never have met Caretaker, Kiera, Rebel, Cal… and Rosemary. A teasing voice sounds out. As much as I want to argue, it's completely true. If I hadn't come to the Undead Realm, I never would have met Rosemary. Never had the chance to spend time with such a strong, but kind woman. We haven't really seen much of each other, with her on guard duty and me needing to sign contract after contract, to ensure all necessary paperwork is filled out. Add my obsessive fixation to read every line, to make sure I'm being fairly treated, and that means spending loads of time on my own. 'Read everything before the dotted line', was the saying I learned while getting my business license.

Then, it was straight to wardrobe to get my gear ready. It's pretty cool. It's a hot pink and white one-piece attire. It goes from my shoulders all the way to my upper thighs. It's quite similar to my swimsuit, but made of a thicker material. Both of my arms have pink wraps with white outlines, positioned right between my shoulder and my elbow. Two pink straps cover my shoulders. They connect directly to the top of my one-piece. A white cross-sketch design covers my upper chest in a V-shape, while the rest of the outfit is pink. A pair of knee-high black boots adds the finishing touch. Rebel did my makeup, adding some water and sweatproof blush, mascara, and clear gloss to bring out my cheeks, eyes, and lips. Standing in front of the mirror, I've got to say, I really like the look.

On top of all my things to do, Rosemary also had another meeting with the Shadow last night. While she wasn't in our tent this morning, she promised me before leaving last night that she'd be here to cheer me on. I never doubted her for a second. She works so hard to protect others and to keep me safe. She's been juggling between me and my problems, the Jewel, her amulet, and her tournament/assassin duties. That's why I have got to give it my all. To make sure she gets the pay she deserves. Behind me, I hear heels clacking against the floor. I turn around. Allysin Kay and Chelsea Green are walking my way, guards escorting them to the metallic gate entrance of the arena. Allysin is wearing her usual leather outfit and peacock feather scarf-thing. Chelsea is wearing a multicolored sports bra and shorts that barely go mid-thigh. She also wears arm gloves that cover from her palms all the way up to her elbows, and a pair of black laced boots. The purples, blues, pinks and whites of her attire all mix together, resembling a splotchy painting or picture you'd see of a galaxy. Her berry red lipstick is still smudged, although this time she has a bit more on the right corner of her mouth, going slightly up her cheek. She holds a bottle of liquor in her hand. They come towards me, but the soldiers make sure they stay at least an arm's length away. Allysin has a bucket of water and a sponge with her. She then turns around in front of Chelsea, dips the sponge in the water and wipes away the excess lipstick.

"Allysin-" Chelsea slurs, before getting cut off.

"Shush! You are competing in one of the biggest Omni Sports events, in front of thousands of people! I need you to look your best, focus, and beat her face in, okay?" Allysin says, pointing in my direction. She then puts her hands in front of her, forefingers and thumbs together. Chelsea mimics, then nods her head, letting Allysin finish up.

"Look better?" she slurs, trying to drink from the bottle. Allysin blocks the top of it, pushing the bottle down, before nodding her head. She then says an incantation, a beam hitting Chelsea square in the face. She shakes her head, moving her mouth around as if she just took some bad tasting medicine.

"There. That should bring down your alcohol level, at least temporarily." Allysin says, before she turns to face me. "Hello, Allie." Her tone is anything but pleasant. She then looks around. "Where's the assassin? Did she ditch you? Are you all alone, Bunny? Looks like you'll be fighting your own battles, today." she teases, flashing a smirk as Chelsea tries to take another swig. Allysin grabs the bottle from her hands, causing Chelsea to pout.

"Rosemary will be here. And as I said, I don't go down without a fight."

"This is a fight you don't want. Chelsea is much more skilled than you think." Allysin tells me.

"Skilled." Chelsea repeats, slowly going closer to the hand with the bottle.

"She's smart,"

"Smart."

"ruthless,"

"Ruthless."

"Chelsea, stop it." Allysin glares at her as she reaches for the bottle, Chelsea freezing like a deer in headlights. Allysin slowly pulls the bottle out of sight, causing Chelsea to pout again. "She's going to destroy you out there."

"That's what you think."

"That's what I know. In front of that crowd, you won't stand a chance. You came here, not by skill or talent, but through lies. Simply because you arrived with the assassin. No one wants you here. No one will cheer for you. No one cares, Allie." I look down, the words starting to get to me.

"I care." I hear someone say, Allysin and Chelsea turning to look behind themselves. Raising my head, I see Rosemary walk straight past them, turning her head to give them a dirty look, before coming right up to me. "Hi, Allie. You okay?" she asks. I don't know what's going on, but judging from her tone, Rosemary seems… distracted. She's looking around a lot. I noticed she does that when something is on her mind. Not really making eye contact, either. It might have something to do with her meeting with the Shadow and what she learned about the amulet. I quickly nod, pulling her away from them.

"You look upset."

"I'm fine. Cal healed up my injuries. Mostly bruising and a sprained wrist bone, but nothing beyond that."

"That's a relief. I'm happy you went to get it checked out." I tell her. "How did it go with 'him'?" I whisper. Immediately she looks down, then takes a deep breath. "Not good?" She grabs her neck, rubbing it for a few seconds before bringing her arm back down. She keeps staring down at her feet, the normal determined look I'm used to seeing in her eyes completely faded by whatever thoughts linger in her mind. There's definitely something wrong. I've never seen her like this. She finally looks up. She takes a breath, then starts to speak.

"Allie," she starts, before stopping and pulling me a bit closer, her honey scent surrounding and slightly comforting me. "After the games today… I have something I want to talk with you about." She stops, briefly making eye contact, silently telling me whatever it is, it's important. I can't help getting lost in them. I wonder what's gotten her so distraught? "But let's… let's worry about that later, okay? For right now, I want you to focus on your tournament games. Are you ready?" Reluctantly dropping the issue, I quickly respond.

"I think so. I've already had 2 coffees, so I should be good to go. I'm going to do everything in my power to win, so that you get paid. Rebel was kind enough to do my makeup again after I got dressed. Do you like my gear?" I ask, stepping back and twirling for her. I see her eyes light up from the movement.

"Very much." she whispers, causing me to blush and shiver. She then shakes her head. The light of her eyes fades away again. She still looks like she's got something on her mind. "I really appreciate the fact that you are willing to do this for me, but are you sure you'll be okay with competing? Some of these sports can be quite dangerous." I can't help but smile at her concern. I nod my head.

"I'm sure. I'm going to give it my all. With you cheering me on, I won't stop until I win." She turns her head away from me, almost like she's hiding a blush. So cute when she does that.

"You better believe I'll be cheering. Rebel and I have some seats in the third row."

"Oh, great! Two fans out of a thousand! How wonderful!" Allysin cuts in sarcastically, waving her hands around. "Be prepared to clean her up assassin. Chelsea's going to go beat her to a bloody pulp."

"How about you shut up, Allysin, before I beat you to a bloody pulp?" Rosemary threatens, causing Allysin to fold her arms in front of her and throw her head back, laughing.

"Hahahaha! Why don't you come a little closer, assassin, and try it?" she mocks, positioning both hands in front of her with a 'come at me' gesture. Rosemary growls, the amulet's blue light returning. I grab her shoulder and she looks at me. Rosemary stops, closes her eyes, takes a few deep breaths, and then turns to Allysin.

"You're not worth it."

"So, that's a, no? Figures the assassin would be chicken." Just then, the gate begins to lift up. "Come on, Chelsea. Let's go win this thing." Allysin gives the bottle to one of the guards and starts pushing Chelsea forward. She tries one last time to grab it, but fails. Chelsea then looks at me. She pounds her fist really quickly into her other palm, then points to me, before walking out of the gate.

"You ready?" Rosemary asks again, looking me in the eye.

"Ready. Let's go." The two of us walk out of the gate. I see the Colosseum is pretty full. If I had to guess, I'd say to almost ¾ capacity. Tens of thousands of demons and Realmers are screaming, the rumble of their cheers causing my heart to beat faster. They stand on their feet, chomp down on snacks and sip on large drinks. A few hold up signs above their heads. I see Vivian seated in the honourable section, alongside a few other demons. Advisor Mervin stands at a podium, microphone in hand, in the middle of the Colosseum. He gestures for me to go to his left side and Chelsea to his right.

"And now, our most gracious hostess Vivian the 16th presents you with a trifecta Omni Sports challenge!" he screams, bringing up 3 of his fingers and causing the crowd to roar. "These two will fight against one another. Only one can be declared winner. There will be no outside interference allowed for any of the three matches. For this particular bout, scratching, biting, or otherwise maiming an opponent is not permitted. Now, are you eager patrons ready?" The crowd roars again.

"Damn salesman." Rosemary whispers. I snicker before he continues.

"Now, to the contestants! Being accompanied by Allysin Kay, daughter of Memvris, to my right is a former champion of both the Interrealmer and Golden Heart Tournaments. A true woman of class. A patron of the arts with a desire for the finer things. I give you 'The Duchess', CHELSEA GREEN!" The minute the words are uttered, Allysin's mouth drops, her back going rigid. She mutters a few insults towards Mervin under her breath. Chelsea's head hangs low, her once joyfully drunken face drooping in sadness as her eyes become glossy. She quickly wipes them, trying to compose herself. Allysin then puts her pinky in the air. She nudges Chelsea. Judging by the little jump she does, Allysin startled her. Chelsea puts on a fake smile, then puts a finger to her lips, shushing the crowd. They roar even more, some waving signs with her face doing the gesture. "And now, to my right, a new competitor. Being accompanied by our assassin on guard, Rosemary, is the lovely and absolute stellar star, ALLIE 'THE BUNNY'!" Suddenly, one section of the crowd erupts in a cheer. For me.

"WOO! GO ALLIE! GET 'EM GIRL! Rebel's with ya all the way!" Rebel yells from the crowd, waving flags with a bunch of other girls over her head. Cal is also present, slowly waving to me with his right hand. I wave to them and smile wide at the small crowd.

"I wasn't expecting such a reaction." I tell Rosemary. She nods her head.

"Me neither. I know Rebel got the whole makeup department to go for you, so they might have something to do with it."

"Ladies, come here." Mervin asserts, pointing to the podium in front of him. Chelsea and I stand on it, facing each other. "Standard precautions." The podium emits a purplish light that scans the both of us. Then, we are asked to get off. "Good, no secret items have been found. Be prepared, the water event will commence shortly." Mervin then walks off.

I turn around and look at Rosemary. "I'm a bit nervous. I'm not chickening out, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not overwhelmed right now." Rosemary grabs my shoulders, the skin there heating up and bringing a knot to my stomach. She looks at me, her pale blue irises staring into my eyes with such intensity, I don't dare look away.

"You're going to be great. You've got this. Just remember to be safe, okay?" Her voice slightly cracks as she utters that last word. I can tell she's a bit scared for me, but I put a hand atop one of hers and rub my thumb over it.

"I will." She brings her hands to her sides and I immediately want them back on my skin.

"I've got to get to my seat. Do your best. I believe in you." she says, backing up and finally turning around to get to her seat. I look to my left and see Allysin speaking with one of the judges, a yellow bearded demon with two heads. He nods as she walks off, then smirks at me before going to the honourable section. Seconds later, Mervin begins to speak into the microphone again.

"And now, it is time for the games to begin!" The crowd's screams are deafening at this point. "This event will be one of the best! But first, we need to get a little water in here." Mervin walks to the honourable section, which then gets surrounded in a magical yellow barrier. Vivian takes off her blindfold to see us in the center. Suddenly, holes begin to open across the arena walls, blue-green water flowing out of them onto the ground. At first, the water barely touches my feet, but it begins to inch higher and higher. Chelsea and I look around, then at each other, as the water continues to rise beyond waist level. In minutes, the water has reached my shoulders, stopping momentarily. Then, a large pointed pirate ship with a dull brown hull and huge green sail appears, seemingly out of thin air, and splashes down into the newly formed pool.

"Welcome to 'Water War'!" Mervin states, his voice now echoing from other parts of the Colosseum. "This game is simple: both contestants must swim to the vessel, climb aboard and scale it to the very top. In the crow's nest, there will be a lockbox for each of them. Once they have retrieved it, the key to open the box will appear underwater, so the contestants will have to come back down and dive for them to get the items inside. Once one contestant has successfully done that, an island will appear in an undisclosed location. The first person to swim to the island and place their item on the totem will be declared winner. But be warned! The water will continue to rise for some time, so the longer they take, the deeper they must dive. And they have more to worry about than just their respective opponents." Mervin pulls a gold disk from his robe and places it is his hand. "The game will begin," he turns the disk upright, a golden ray shining to the tip top of the large boat, "right now!"

In seconds, I make a b-line for the boat, swimming and kicking my feet as hard as I can. Man, it is a lot harder to swim with these clothes and boots on! I turn my head and for a split second see Chelsea swimming at the same speed, frantically trying to overtake me. I finally make it to the ship, grab one of the rope ladders hanging off the side and begin my ascent, the water continuing to rise at a steady rate. Chelsea does the same, the two of us neck and neck. The rope ladder is sturdy, but the material is slightly ragged. I clutch it harder to avoid slipping, bringing rope burn to the skin of my palms. We finally board the boat, our boots dragging water onto the wooden deck. The boat suddenly jerks to one side, and I almost lose my footing. Looking around, I can't see anything, but I hear the crowd yell and cheer for something, and feel a rumble beneath the ship. I look over the side. The water has finally stopped rising, staying firmly at the halfway point between the arena's floor and the audience in the front row. The honourable section is completely submerged, with a cauldron in the middle, the magic barrier keeping Vivian, Mervin, and the others safe. They aren't the problem, though.

I see four large black tentacles, connected to a large black blur beneath the surface of the water. They slither up the side slowly, their suction cups emitting a Popping sound as they ascend. They have to be about 12 ft. in length, and as thick as a 2-liter bottle. I back away quickly, trying to steer clear as the tentacles make their way onto the deck. I then bump into something. I turn to see Chelsea look at me, the two of us now back-to-back. I hear the Popping sounds again and see four black tentacles on the other side of the ship, making it eight in total.

"What the hell is this?" she asks, still slightly slurred.

"No idea!" I tell her.

"May I present 'Oculus', the Executioner of the Southern Seas!" Mervin proclaims to the crowd. They yell in amazement at the creature. The tentacles wrap around the sides of the boat, inching closer and breaking apart the ship's hull, the sound of the wood Cracking all around us.

"Um, Chelsea, is it?" She turns to look at me, her wet hair clinging to her face and her eyes going between me and the tentacles. "How about we worry about dealing with these things first, and then start competing?" Staring at the damage the tentacles have done, she turns to face me again and agrees, looking at the black tendrils as they continue to slither around us. I scan the floor, looking for a weapon. I spot a fist-sized fishing hook and take a few steps to grab it, while Chelsea finds a broken sword nearby. We stand back-to-back again, waiting for the tentacles to attack.

They continue to circle around. Without warning, one lunges for Chelsea. She slashes it with the sword, black blood painting the blade and floor around her. A shriek from the tentacle can heard. All eight tentacles begin their assault. I dodge one, then pierce another with my hook, blood leaking from the new wound. The smell is similar to tar, so pungent it makes my eyes water. I swiftly pull it out and stab the next tentacle that comes near. One snakes under my legs and trips me. I land face down, but use my arms to cushion my fall. One tentacle smacks Chelsea from behind, then another across the cheek. She topples over next to me. I stare at the tentacles.

They are quite fast for being so large. I take a look at one and notice it isn't as quick as the others. I see some blood dripping down it and onto the ship's hull. Chelsea sees it too. "I have an idea." I say to her. Whispering the plan in her ear, her eyes going big, before she smiles and responds. She clutches her sword tightly in her hands, as I grab my hook. We share a look between ourselves. Nodding at the same time, we get to our feet, weapons in hand.

"Come on, slimy! I'm all yours!" Chelsea mocks, outstretching her hands and leaving herself vulnerable. Two tentacles go straight for her. The minute they are close, she dodges, causing the two to bump against one another. I run and pierce one with my hook, pulling it down with all my might. Chelsea comes up and begins hacking it. A few hits and she cut it clean through, the tentacle shrieking as the severed top wiggles on the ground, blood leaking everywhere. I pull my hook out and get ready. Suddenly, all the other tentacles attack at the same time. Chelsea and I run around, avoiding them. We run in loops, making the appendages wrap around one another and get stuck. Then, just like the first one, I stab and hold them down while she cuts their tops off. Sometimes we have to hack or kick away others that get too close, but for the most part, the plan works. Black blood covers our hands, arms, and weapons, as well as the ship's deck. The severed tentacles retreat back into the water, while their tops swipe at the air and desperately wiggle around. Chelsea and I look at each other. She smiles, and I do the same…

Chelsea then pushes me hard to the ground, knocking the hook from my hand, before she runs towards the center of the ship. What a cheat! Looking up, I see her throw the sword away and grab one of two ropes available with both hands, beginning her climb up to the crow's nest. I lift myself off the ground and run too, grabbing the second rope. She's not too far ahead, I can still win this. Taking a breath, I pull up with my arms and use my whole body to hoist myself higher and higher. My abs and shoulders hurt like hell, and my hands still have rope burn, but I continue to climb. Eventually, Chelsea and I are next to each other. She takes a swipe at me, trying to knock me down. I block with my shoulder, but then she pokes my eye and kicks my gut, knocking the wind out of me. She then continues her ascent. Swallowing hard, I take a look at the crowd. I see Rebel standing, her blue hair a dead giveaway, alongside Cal. Rosemary's right next to her. The two of them and the makeup staff chant my name, while Cal stares on, all rallying behind me. I feel so fortunate for their support. Taking strength from their cheer, I start to climb again, trying to use all my power to bring myself forward.

I reach the top, crawl into the crow's nest and see Chelsea with a gold rectangular lockbox in hand. I then see a silver one in the corner, no bigger than a pencil case. I grab it. I try to lift it up, but it won't budge! I grit my teeth and yank harder, the wood under it breaking with every pull. Chelsea laughs, holding her stomach. She grabs the rope and starts to descend. A few more yanks and I finally remove it. Touching it, I feel some sort of sticky substance on the bottom. I know time is scarce, so I go towards the side and grab the rope. The boat then jerks again. I grab the side of the crow's nest for dear life, lockbox under my arm. I see Chelsea holding onto the rope with one hand, lockbox in the other. Suddenly, two black tentacles, much larger than the other ones and both with pointed tips, breach the surface. They rapidly rise out of the water, going much higher than the top of the boat. They stagger, twisting and turning aimlessly. Then they stop, bending forward like a wilting flower. Oh no.

The two tentacles quickly topple downwards, going straight for the center of the ship, breaking whatever remains of the sails on their descent. Seeing as I have no choice, I go over the rail of the crow's nest, and jump towards the water. I hear the tentacles hit the boat, the ship breaking in half in a loud Crunch! Debris flies everywhere just as I hit the water. I swim away from the ship as it gets pulled under, pieces beginning to float on the surface. I see Chelsea in the water, lockbox still in hand, also swimming away. Turning for a second, I see a large squid-like creature with a big orange eye ripping the ship apart, screeching as it does so. I turn my attention back to Chelsea. She looks around, then dives underwater. I scan beneath me and something catches my eye. A silver key, shining at the bottom of the pool. Taking a deep breath, I dive, swimming towards the object. I grab the key, and swim back up to the surface. After breaching and taking a breath, I unlock the box and take out the object. A green shell. An island of white sand and green palm trees, with an orange and black totem, appears to my right. I see Chelsea swimming towards it and quickly do the same.

She arrives first, pulls herself out of the water and onto the beach. I do the same, falling not too far behind. As she scrambles to her feet, mere inches from the totem, she grabs a handful of sand and throws it at me. I block it with my arm and tackle her down, then try to place my item on the pedestal. She grabs my foot and pulls me back. I try to shake her off, but she sweeps me and starts laying punches down. We roll around, yanking each other's hair, screaming and punching each other's sides. She knees me in the stomach, causing me to gasp out in pain. She gets up and places her red starfish on the totem. Taking a breath, I get up and place my shell there too. A siren sounds, ending the contest. The ship disappears, as does the squid creature. The water slowly gets lower and lower, the island coming down with it. Once we step off of it, the island fades away, totem and all. Mervin comes near us, grabs Chelsea's hand and raises the microphone to his mouth.

"May I present the winner of the Water War event, Chelsea Green!" I walk up to him and show him my lockbox.

"Excuse me, advisor, but something caused the lockbox to stick to the crow's nest on the ship. I had to practically rip it off the wood. Is this normal?" I explain to him. He eyes the item, then turns it over and touches the bottom, the clear adhesive sticking to his digits. "Looks like some sort of glue is on the bottom."

"How can this be? This will not do. I must speak with the great hostess." He turns and walks to the Warlord, who has put her blindfold back on. As he explains the situation, her back goes up and she slithers off her throne towards a row of six judges. She then grabs the lockbox from Mervin's hands and shows them the item, waving it in front of them as she screams at the top of her lungs. The crowd has gone silent as she continues to berate them.

"Who was in charge of the spell used for the ship and lockbox placement?" she demands. Two judges stand: one purple demon with one blue eye wearing a gray tunic and the other a sandy-color beaked demon wearing a dress. They bow their heads.

"It was us, great hostess." the beaked demon responds.

"Why does this one have tree sap on it? There should be no reason for this type of unfairness."

"I have no idea, great hostess. We made sure only to prepare the items and to place them on the vessel."

"Did anyone else have access to the spell's you were using?"

"Only Favrid." the purple demon tells her. Vivian turns her head to one judge, with yellow skin and two heads. Wait, that's the one that was speaking with Allysin!

"Favrid, step forward." He does as she asks. "Did you add a tree sap to the bottom of this lockbox, thereby increasing the time needed for the contestant to retrieve it?" He shakes his head.

"Of course not, great hostess. But if I do say, it is not illegal to use adhesives to win."

"It is when the judge presiding over it is the one who did so!"

"As I have said, I did not do it. Perhaps you should check the garment of the other contestant." Vivian glares at him, her nostrils flaring in anger at the judge's tone. She slithers to Chelsea and grabs her sports bra.

"Hey! Don't you-"

"Utter one more syllable and I will have you killed." Vivian whispers, silencing Chelsea instantly. She digs around and pulls out a small vial, uncorks it and brings it to her nose, taking a large sniff. She then dips her hand in, testing the contents for stickiness. She touches her thumb to her middle finger, the two digits sticking together before she pulls them apart. "This is the sap. Regvarian, from the smell. You do realize this is highly disconcerting. The magical test should have picked this up right away. How many more items must we search you for before the next contest?"

"Excuse me." Allysin butts in, standing behind Vivian with her arms crossed. "Just what do you think you are doing, hostess?" Mervin stands there awkwardly, unwilling to speak at the moment.

"What I am doing is ensuring that the games continue to have the respectability and dignity with which our patrons are fond of, half-breed. Your friend was found with a vial of tree sap, which she used to help her secure a win against Allie. If she does not agree to be searched further, I will request a cavity search be implemented." Chelsea's eyes go big and her arms cross protectively over herself. Allysin walks straight up to Vivian, her face showing no fear for the Warlord in front of her.

"You do not have the authority to do that. As the Advisor said, no interference. No biting, scratching, or maiming, but there was no rule for the use of a tree sap by a contestant to bind a lockbox to the ship. Regardless of your 'hosting', rules are rules. Therefore, by Article 3.5 of the Tournament guidelines, you cannot redo this event, nor charge Chelsea with cheating, nor ask for more body searching. You have no choice but to declare Chelsea winner and continue with the contest." Vivian opens her mouth to respond, but says nothing, a look of complete shock etched across her features. "How's that for a half-breed, bitch?" Allysin smirks, cocking her eyebrow to the hostess. Vivian breathes deeply, her back going up. She mutters under her breath. She then slithers away from the smaller woman. Allysin watches her go, before smiling and slowly walking back to the honourable section. I lost the first match. Now I need to win the other two to win the event. This is going to be a lot harder than I expected.

Author's Note: Hey everybody. A new chapter, just for you. The Omni Sports trifecta event has begun, and what a first challenge Water War was. Chelsea won this time, so Allie's got her work cut out for her. Score one for Chelsea. Allysin shows no fear in the face of Vivian, which is pretty brave of her. And Rosemary was acting weird after meeting the Shadow. What's on her mind? And what will the next challenge be in the trifecta event? Find out next time.

If you enjoyed this chapter, feel free to review. It's always appreciated. Until the next chapter, take care and enjoy your day!
