Chapter 1: A new life
Jun/14/2026, Tokyo, It's almost 4 PM as we see Asuna standing infront of the Tokyos University, waiting for someone to pick her up. She then puts her phone away in her purse as she sees a black NSX car slowly stopping infront of her, she smiles as the cars window goes down. She reveals the driver is her young Boyfriend, Kazuto Kirigaya. He likes to be called Kirito in Virtual Reality world he used to be a hero named "Sword Art Online".
He smiles at her in the car saying "Sorry for late, there was a traffic." He said while Asuna was opening the cars front door, sitting in. "Its okay Kirito you didn't come that late." She said in a calm and nice tone before closing the cars door, and Kirito press his foot on the gaz pedal while driving.
"So, how was the exam?" He asked while drivong, looking at the road as Asuna watches him with smile and excitement. "Well it went good, and I am finally about to get graduated! YAY!" She yelled it out in passion, Kirito smiles and loves seeing his Girlfriend in an exciting mood. Asuna then lowered her voice to normal and asks... "How was your day at work in Gaming Company?" she asks Kirito who's still driving the car. "Well, the work was good... Working on a new Battle Pass for GGO, And fixing some bugs players reported." He revealed, slowly stops the car behind the traffic light as its red. He then took a deep breath and continues... "And I am wondering what would happen if I ask my boss for bringing back the old Aincrad since I am working as the sidekick... But I don't think that's a good idea" Kirito said while Asuna is looking at him normally and asks... "Why you think it would be a bad idea?"
Kirito looks at Asuna. "Since Aincrad was a death game, there might be a chance that everyone would get mad at us! They will think that we brought back the death game again! They would feel afraid to experience being trappes again, just like before!" Kirito revealed as the traffic light turned green. He looks at the road, driving forward while Asuna is listening to his words. "I honestly missed Aincrad, we had lots of memories there." He said as Asuna remembered her days in the Aincrad, not the bad days she experienced, but good positive days she spended in that 2 years. "So am I..." She then smiles... "But you can give a try and ask your boss about it! Maybe he'll do it since you're the CO-Owner." She advices him as he listened and agrees to her. "I'll do my best then"
Asuna then thought to herself about something as she remembered her question. "By the way what happened to Alice? It's been a year since she doesn't pick up to us!" She asked him. "Alice Zuberg left Japan to America" Kirito starts to explain. "The USA Government realized that she once was a talented and brave warrior back in the Underworld, and then they offered her to join FBI as their reporter and photographer." After Kirito finished, Asuna raised her left eye browse to up as she's so confused. "FBI Reporter? Why didn't you tell me that earlier?" she asked.
"Cause I didn't know either she was suddenly vanished until I got worried, messaged Seijirou and THEN he explained!" Kirito finished as Asuna listened. "Hmm I see.." She said, then looks at the road, seeing that they're near to her house. "Hey umm Asuna?" Kirito calls her while turning the wheels to right so he changes the direction to her house. "Yes Kirito?" Asuna replied. "I was wondering... Tonight in Tokyos park there's a firework festival... And I was thinking would you like to go there together tonight?" he asked as his cheeks got a bit red.
Asuna then gives him a warm smile. "Ohh of course Kirito! I would love to!" She then giggles at him and saying.. "I think I should wear the Kimono I brought last week." She revealed as Kirito slowly stops the car infront of her house, looking at her and asks... "New Kimono?"
"Yupp! It will be a surprise for tonight~" She teased him with that and makes him blush a bit as his eyes look down. "B-babe stop teasing me like that" He said as Asuna giggles. "Hehe, I can't cause you look really cute when you blush~ Anyways..." She then smiles and they look into each others eyes, giving each others lips a quick french kiss. "See you tonight then, Kirito" She said after kiss, then slowlh open the cars door and slowly getting out. "Alright, I will meet you in 7 PM" Kirito said to her as she agreed.
They both told "Goodbye till then" before Kirito drives off as Asuna walks to her house in passion. Asuna walks inside her new house where her father bought for her since her parents divorced for a reason... Asuna puts her houses key into the doors lock, rotates it to left 90 degrees and unlocks it. She walks inside, closes the door behind her as she throws her purse on a white sofa at the living room. She then walks to her bedroom, there is a gaming computer, a bed, and VRMMO gear glasses next to the bed where she travels to VR Would with it.
She then turns on her computer, and while it's booting up, she walks to the kitchen, making herself a hot cup of coffee. She turns on the coffee making machine, pours water in it and puts a small glass of drink under the machine where the coffee extracts from. She watched the machine pours coffee in the glass and when it's done, she grabs it, walks back to her room, behind her computer. She goes to a website called "Binance" and checking on the Crypto Currency she bought. She spent 1 Million yen which is 6330 dollars in US to raise them up for the future.
In the past, her father after divorce paid her 20 Million yen since he was a rich man, and wanted to support his daughter. Asuna closes her eyes, and starts hearing some word echoing in her mind... "You are nothing but a selfish woman! You never cared!"
"Says who! I never wanted to marry you Shouzou!"
"And I have never forced you! You can leave!"
It seems Asuna's parents had a big fight after a long time, they divorced last year, Asuna's mother was nothing but selfish woman who only wanted to marry her father Shouzou for his money! Asuna then slowly opens her eyes, took a sip of her coffee and checking her crypto currency. "I'm glad she's gone..." Asuna told herself while next to her monitor, she sees a picture of her and Kirito. They took a selfie together at the winter when it was snowing and smiling at the camera. Asuna smiles at the picture as she's so happy that in her life she met her real men who.
Asuna is in love with Kirito insanely. Back in the SAO, She once was acting rude to him sometimes and acted like a boss in the game, but the more they knew each others, the longer relationship they made. And Asuna is really happy about it. She suddenly sees a call appeared in her computer screen. it's a call from her and Kirito's AI Daughter named Yui. She clicked on 'Answer' as its a face call.
"Hello Mama! How was the university?" Yui asked in smile as Asuna took a sip from her coffee. "Hey Yui, it went good. Just passed the exam and about to get graduated soon!" She said in smile. "YAY! YOU FINALLY DID IT MOMMY! I am happy!" Yui yelled in happiness behind the screen. "Yeah sweetie. So how are you doing Yui?"
"I am doing good, just wanted to check you're okay." Yui revealed. "Yui, me and daddy tonight about to watch a firework festival. would you like to come and watch?" Asuna asked as Yui looks at her with a bit sad face.
"Awww mommy I'm sorry I can't, cause tonight I promised Leafa and Sinon to help them level up their battle pass before it ends. is it ok?" Yui said it so nicely. "It's okay dear, next time" Asuna smiled at her. "Oki mommy~!" Yui yelled in happiness as Asuna looks at her trading window. "Oh shoot! Yui I will call later I gotta get back to trading!"
"It's okay mommy. Goodluck in it~ I'll call later. Bye~!" Yui smiled as Asuna giggled, waves at Yui. "Bye Yui~" She said before hanging up.
Meaning, Kirito is driving to his house as he told himself in his mind... "Should I ask her? W-what if she gets mad? I don't know what to do its been like.. 5 years since we met..." He then took a deep breath, and drives to his house after several minutes.
Till the clock of 7 PM, Kirito and Asuna both did their studies and other stuffs they wanted to do. Asuna took a warm bath before preparing herself for the festival. Kirito wore himself a Grey T-shirt, blue pants and brown shoes, drive to her house at the time of 6:55 as he rings her houses bell, waiting until she comes.
After several moments, the door opened. "Hi~!" Asuna yelled in smile and excitement. Kirito blushed so hard as he sees her in a pink Kimono with white lines around it. "H-Hey Asuna.." He said while blushing. She's wearing two classic Japanese sandles, she then does a slow spin to reveal her Kimono to him. "So what do you think~?" She asked as Kirito replies.. "I-It really suits you, its cute babe.." He said with a shy tone
Asuna looks at his red cheeks, smirks at him and wants to tease him a bit. "Are you sure its not just 'Cute'~? Your blushing says something else~" She giggled as Kirito got a bit nervous, loses words as he doesn't know what to say. "Y-You read my mind I guess.." he said as Asuna walks to him, holding his left hand, smiles at him. "I know my boyfriend a lot~ So, lead the way dear~" She said as Kirito holds her hand back, walking to his car with her. "Hey isn't Yui come?" Kirito asked as he opens the cars door for her. "No she's helping girls to finish their battle passes soon before it ends" Asuna revealed while slowly getting in the car. "Ohh I see, that's ok~" Kirito says, getting in the car to drive.
Its been 30 minutes, Kirito took Asuna to the big Tokyo's park where there are lots of booths around, some sell foods and snacks, some sells toys like teddy bears or hina dolls. Kirito parked his car nearby as they both got out and walked in the festival. They're now looking around while holding hand. Asuna is so excited cause it's her first time watching fireworks with Kirito, her lovely boyfriend. Kirito sees a booth that sells drinks and snacks and looks at Asuna. "Do you need something to eat Asuna?" He asked nicely as Asuna looks at the booth and then Kirito, starts to thinking.
"Hmm... Have you ever eat candy apple?" Asuna asked him. "Not really, but it's not bad to give a try." He answered her question. "Yeah you should! I promise you'll like it~!" She told him. Kirito walks to the booth's owner, and bought two candy apples. One for himself and one for Asuna. "Here's your candy~" Kirito said to her in a charming tone as Asuna takes it. "Thanks dear~" She replied.
While walkjng around, Kirito took a bite of his candy apple, as Asuna watches him. "So? how does it taste?" She asked. Kirito swallows it and says.. "Tastes like apple mixed with candy, I kinda like it" He said in smile. "Hehe see~? I knew you'll like it." She told him. Kirito and Asuna then walk up to the parks higher place where it's a bit dark, but they can view the whole Tokyo from it. They see an empty bench where no one's around it as they're now sitting on it. Asuna is watching the town while Kirito is looking at her.
"It's really a beautiful place" She said before looking at Kirito. "And it's more beautiful when you're here with me~" She revealed to him as Kirito smiles. "Same for me, so beautiful with you." He revealed.
They sat, watching the town as Kirito looks at his watch wrappes around his left wrist, as it shows 8:23 PM. "Fireworks start soon, it'll be more beautiful when it starts" he told Asuna. "We will see dear, I'm sure it'll be." She replied, watching the town. Kirito then took a deep breath, as he looks at Asuna with a face, mixed with seriousness and stress. "Hey umm...Asuna, I need to ask you something... Something that I always wanted to ask since we left SAO..." Kirito told as Asuna looks at him, listening. "What is it Kirito?"
"The thing is... It's been 5 years we met, two years in game, and three years in real. I wanna be honest that, I really love you Asuna, and I would anything to protect you." Kirito told her about his feelings to her as she blushes a bit, smiles. "And so do I. Since I met you, I really fell in you, and I want to be with you as long as I am alive, I love you too, Kazuo Kirigaya." She told her love toward him. Kirito then slowly reaches his right hand to his pants pocket, slowly about to pull something out. Kirito once bought her a ring as gift, but this time... it won't be a 'Gift'.
Kirito pulls out a small black box, and when Asuna saw it, her eyes got wide open. Kirito gently grabs her right hand and pulls it close to himself, hands her the box. "K-Kirito..." Asuna starts to shake, looking at him in shock, just like Kirito who's filled with stress. "Open it, my love."
Asuna slowly opens the box, seeing it has a grey ring with a small blue diamond on it. Just like the last one Kirito bought, but this time it's grey instead of gold. Asuna's eyes got wide, shakes and slowly looks at Kirito. "Asuna Yuuki, I once asked this question, but that was in the game! So I am going to ask it here..." Kirito then asks the question Asuna waited to hear... "Will you marry me?"
Asuna's eyes got wet by tears of happiness. She then immediately rushes to Kirito and hugs him tightly. Kirito got surprised for the way she hugged him, so he hugged her back. "YES! I WILL!" Asuna yelled it out as Kirito got so happy, he then hugged her tighter in happiness and love, both of their hearts start beating fast in excitement and passion. After they let go, Kirito held her left hand, and he slides the ring in her finger ring all the day down, just like before he gifted her.
Asuna then looks into his eyes while still her eyes filled with tears of happiness, she wipes her tears off, looking at the happy Kirito. "Sorry didn't mean to cry... You have no idea how long I waited... for this moment..." when she revealed her secret, Kirito's heart suddenly stopped for a moment when she said that. He's now more happy than before, gently holds her hands and says... "So was I... I love you so much, Asuna Yuuki.." He said as they're slowly approaching closer for kiss. "I'm no longer Yuuki... I'm a Kirigaya now~ I love you so much, Kazuto Kirigaya~ my Kirito." She said it softly. Kirito and Asuna closed their eyes and they start to kiss on lips, until suddenly a green light appeared on the sky.
they stopped the kiss, Looking at the sky as the firework just started and flashing in red, blue, green and orange. They're now watching the fireworks while holding each others hands softly, enjoying the view. "You were right Kirito, it's more beautiful like this~" Asuna said happily. "I'm glad, my love~" He replied.
Several weaks passed as Kirito and Asuna finally got married in a big place to celebrate. Their friends are all proud for seeing Kirito and Asuna finally got together, Yui is more than happy about this. After their marriage, Kirito's boss gifted them both 10 thousand dollars and gift them a beautiful house in California, Los Angeles newr the beach and amusement park. Kirito is so grateful to his boss as they both left Japan and live in Los Angeles in peace and always happiness.
Their life changed from good to amazing and beautiful together, and both of them are happiest people in their life! Kirito is now working in gaming development in LA and Asuna is studying to become a crypto trader... It's amazing, and beautiful...
