Chapter 2
The Bandit Camp
Yang strolled up the hill for a bit, but she remembers that someone's or a group of them were coming right at her, but she wasn't too worried; she knew that Reese would step in if things got out of hand.
Reese meanwhile was 20 feet behind Yang watching her while he was invisible.
Reese then saw them a group of four bandits.
"Ok Yang time to get to work." Reese says as he unholsters his DEW and takes aim.
Yang then sees the group of bandits four of them to be exact and they took up flanking positions.
"You're very far from the trail babe." One of them said.
"No I'm not. I'm looking for someone." Yang says.
"Well they are not here." Another said.
From Reese's perspective things look like things were getting out of hand.
"I believe they are here." Yang says while taking a step forward.
BANG!
Reese flinched a little but didn't move.
Yang at the same time was surprised that someone shot at her more or less a couple of inches from her foot.
"Turn back now or you will regret it." One of the bandits warns.
Yang then tilts her head down and her eyes shift colors.
"So you chose the hard path." Yang says as she cracks her knuckles.
"Here we go. Patty." Reese says.
"Calculations complete." Patty says.
But before Reese could move Yang made the first move.
PUNCH! KICK! HIT! HIT! PUNCH! WHAMO!
Yang moved so fast that neither Reese or the bandits didn't see her move.
"Uhhh what are you?" One of the bandits said.
"I'm the daughter of your leader." Yang says as she gets on her motorcycle and continues on.
Reese then ran ahead of her and found the camp that the bandits set up and it looked impressive but not impossible for Reese to infiltrate.
"Patty program my motorcycle to follow Yang." Reese says.
"Done." Patty says.
Reese then brought out his knife to start climbing the wall, then he got to the top and dropped down then took cover.
"Activate satellite imagery." Reese says.
Meanwhile a Atlas surveillance satellite was overhead, then at that moment it went offline due to Patty's interference.
"Displaying now." Patty says.
Reese then saw the image on his helmet and at the same time saw some interesting things.
"Patty is that a prisoner?" Reese asked.
"Yes it is." Patty says back.
"Enhance the picture." Reese says.
"Done but the satellite will be out of range." Patty says.
"Got it. Disconnect." Reese says.
Then the image got clear and Reese saw the color of blue and white, that's when it hit him.
"Weiss is here." Reese says.
"Should we tell Yang?" Patty asks.
"No not yet." Reese says.
"What are we going to do?" Patty asks.
"Find her then see how she is then take appropriate action." Reese says.
Just then Yang then entered the camp.
"Raven! I know you're here your daughter came to see you." Yang says.
Now while Reese wanted to be stealthy but what Yang was doing made things a little easier for him.
Reese then looked at the big tent, he figured that the main person in charge would be there but he had his doubts.
Then he saw her Raven Yangs mother.
"So that's what she looks like." Reese says.
"You do know she is in the deck right?" Patty asks.
"Yeah she is the queen of clubs. But I'm not going to do anything." Reese says.
"At least we should…" Patty was about to say.
"No! I don't want to cause problems." Reese says.
"Fine what are you going to do then?" Patty asks.
"Get Weiss." Reese says.
When Reese started to sneak over to where Weiss is all the while listening to Yang.
"Got to hand it to you Yang. I never thought you would find me." Raven says.
"I have my resources." Yang fires back.
"Hummm well you'll have to tell me someday, so are you here to join me?" Raven asks.
"No I'm not." Yang says.
The camp then goes silent.
"No." Raven says.
"Yeah you heard me no." Yang says.
"Then what are you here for?" Raven asks while gripping her sword that is currently in it's sheath.
"Don't escalate it Yang." Reese says.
Then Reese saw her. Weiss is not looking too good right now.
"Looks like they dragged her through the dirt." Reese says.
Then it went from bad to worst.
"Hey why don't you take ten bud this prisoner is not going anywhere." Said the big guy.
"Sure." Said the smallest one.
"Something is up." Reese said.
"Well princess looks like it's just you and me." The bandit said.
"I have nothing to say to you, and you stay away from me." Weiss says.
"Oh no your not going anywhere I'm going to have fun with you." Bandit says while moving closer to Weiss.
Reese then moved.
"STAY BACK!" Weiss shouted.
SNAP!
Weiss blinked for a second but she now saw that the big guys head is now in the opposite direction from where it was originally.
Then the body was lowered slowly, then Weiss heard something new.
"Shush it's ok we're here to get you out." Reese says in a low voice.
Then Weiss got excited.
"Reese, where are you?" She asks.
"In front of you, listen Yang is here and she is making noise for me." Reese says then he heard something new.
"I SAID TAKE ME TO QROW DAMN IT!" Yang shouted.
"And it got worse." Reese says as he busts the lock off of Weiss's cage.
"Hey watch your mouth!" Someone else said.
"Make me." Yang says as she gets ready for a fight.
Just then one bandit lunges at Yang, but she was ready for him, and well knocked him out before he even had a chance to react.
WHAM!
He then flew back where he hit a tent, and then it collapsed revealing Weiss still in her cage.
"Yang?"
"Weiss?"
Weiss then busts out of her cage and takes her place next to Yang.
"Well I didn't expect that and who is that on the ground?" Raven asks.
Someone then went over and examined the body.
"HIS HEAD IS ON BACKWARDS!" Someone shouted.
Raven then looked at Weiss with anger in her eyes and her hand on her weapon.
"Did you kill him?" Raven asks.
"No but I did see who killed him." Weiss says calmly.
"Who then?" Raven asks.
"He is standing next to you. And I would suggest letting go of your weapon." Weiss says.
Raven then looks to her right and left but sees nothing.
"What are you playing at?" Raven asks.
"Look again." Yang says.
Raven then looks to her right where she now sees a figure in black armor with a weapon in his hand pointing it right at her.
"Don't do anything stupid. Tell your camp to stand down." Reese says.
"And if I don't?" Raven asks.
"Then it's going to get messy." Reese says.
Raven then thinks about it for a second.
"We outnumber you, how do you think you're going to win?" Raven says.
Reese didn't answer but instead he pointed his dew at another bandit.
"He is a thief and he committed a crime that I'm not going to say. You sure you want to challenge me?" Reese asks.
"You don't have the balls to do it. And besides his aura will protect him." Raven says with a smug look on her face.
"Ok I warned you." Reese says as he thumbed the safety.
PEWWWWEP!
Hit then the bandit inflated like a balloon and with a final look of terror on his face, he blew up leaving behind his legs.
Raven then looked back at Reese with a surprised look on her face.
"Now will you stand down?" Reese asks.
Raven then nods and the whole camp relaxed and on his part Reese holstered his weapon.
"I'll get some tea ready." Raven says as she motioned for Yang to come.
"Did you have to go that far?" Yang asks.
"Well she was counting on a show of force to intimate us. But I multiplied it causing her to rethink it." Reese says.
The trio then entered the tent where three cups of tea was waiting for them and Raven was sitting on the opposite side of the table.
"Sit." Raven says.
Weiss and Yang took their respective spots but Reese remained standing.
"Sit." Raven says again.
Reese shook his head and stood there.
"Yang why isn't he moving?" Raven asks.
"He um is always on alert, that's what he was trained to do." Yang says.
"And where did he get his training?" Raven asks.
"Classified." Yang says.
"Classified eh. Well that tells me he is from Atlas. Am I right?" Raven asks Reese.
"Yep." Reese says.
"So now here is another question for you. Why are you following my daughter?" Raven asks.
"I'm more or less attached to her hip." Reese says.
"What do you mean?" Raven asks.
"Yang show her. I want to get this over with." Reese says.
Yang then shows Raven her left hand with the ring on it.
"Well looks like someone has been busy." Raven says.
"Yang how long?" Weiss asks.
"About two months." Yang says.
"Is that right." Raven says.
"Yes. Now can you get us to Qrow or not?" Yang asks.
"So Tai told you everything did he?" Raven asks.
"Yep i know about your semblance and how it works." Yang says.
"Well did he tell you about the rest of the story? The reason why my brother and i were at Beacon in the first place." Raven says.
"No he didnt." Yang says.
"Well what if i told you i had magic." Raven says.
"What kind of magic? Weiss asks.
"The kind that old man ozpin possesses, and thought he could trust a few truble makers with. Ha! he was a fool not as big of a fool as your father." Raven says.
BOOM!
Raven turns around to see that Yang blasted her table.
"Dont you DARE talk to my family in that way." Yang says with aggression.
Reese then grabed Yangs arm and held on.
"Yang calm down dont let her get to you." Reese says.
"listen to you husband he'll never lead you astray." Raven says.
"Well that sounds all and dandy, but there is one problem. Where is your proof?" Reese asks.
"You still dont believe me." Raven says.
"No i do not." Reese says.
Raven then gets up and walks out to the back side of her tent.
"Go see for yourself." Vernal says.
Then the gang rushed outside and found nothing.
"Mom?" Yang says.
Nothing.
"You don't believe that?" Weiss asks Reese.
"Well we have technology that makes me invisible, gain strength. But there is no such thing as magic." Reese says.
Then they heard a faint caw in the distance.
"A raven?" Weiss says.
"Wait, I've seen that bird before." Yang says.
Then the bird angled towards them and then after a few seconds it turned back into Raven.
"Now do you believe?" Raven says.
Then after a few minutes Raven then opens a portal to Qrow.
"I'll go first follow me after five seconds." Reese says to Yang.
Reese then went through on his bike then he saw a man hunched over a balcony.
"Who are you?" Qrow asks.
"A friend of Yang." Reese says.
Just then at that moment Yang came through on her bike with Weiss on the back seat.
"Hey Ruby!" Qrow says.
Ruby then comes stomping down the stairs.
"What! Can a girl get some peace and quiet to read her comics?" Ruby says but then saw what was waiting for her.
There was Weiss,Yang and Reese all waiting for her. Ruby didn't say anything; she instead hugged Yang then got Weiss in the group hug. Then Ruby and Yang opened their arms and looked at Reese. Then Reese got the hint and joined them in their embrace.
"Yang what has happened to you?" Ruby asks.
"A Lot of things Ruby but here is the best news for you and sorry." Yang says.
"Sorry for what?" Ruby asks.
Yang then held up her hand to show the ring.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" Ruby shouts with excitement.
