Legends
"AHHHHHH! No I don't want to deal with him!" Reese said as he hit a tree in a vain attempt to contain his anger.
"What's is his beef?" Nora asks.
Yang then leans over.
"Well he made a deal with Reese when he became a student that there would be no secrets between them, well Reese showed some secrets but oz didn't in return, and he tried to keep Reese in a restricted mode, that was evident during the last rounds at the vital festival." Yang says.
"So if Reese did his job we probably we probably be back in school?" Nora asks.
"Probably." Yang says.
"And now we have to track him down." Ruby says.
"When did you see him last?" Tai asks.
"Just before we left for atlas." Ruby said.
Winter meanwhile was watching Reese punch the tree waiting to speak up.
WHAM! CRUNCH! SMACK!
That was the tree it fell and Reese was exhausted.
"You done?" Winter asks.
Reese nods.
"Have you forgotten that Patty is a super computer." Winter says.
Reese thinks for a moment then he remembered, that caused him to run up to the his room and grabbed the laptop.
"What's he doing?" Ruby asks.
"His job watch." Winter says.
Reese then sat down in the living room and got Patty into the network, then he ran into town with everyone in tow.
"Ready for test?" Reese asks.
"Yes." Patty says.
"You see me now?" Reese asks.
Inside a security camera Patty sees Reese and puts a blue box around him.
Reese then felt his scroll vibrate to indecate that he was found.
"Now what is he doing? Yang asks.
"Hide and seek." Winter says.
Yang then sees Reese walk off.
"And the game is on." Winter says.
"How does this game work?" Ruby inquires.
"It works as a calibration so Patty can look for someone, the first thing he is going to do is go to different areas and ask if she can see him, if his scroll goes off she sees him, but if nothing she lost him and he has to go back to the last point." Winter says.
"But if she has a tag on him doesn't that mean she has him?" Blake asks.
"No she has to see him using cameras." Winter says.
"What security cameras? Not every location has security cameras." Yang says.
"I said cameras, any cameras." Winter emphasized.
"You don't mean?" Weiss says.
"Yes Patty would be everywhere, but Reese can put restrictions on her, he could say stay in the town square and she would." Winter says.
"That sounds like serious privacy issues." Weiss says.
"That's why the program is made for people who don't exist." Winter says.
Just then winters scroll went off.
"Ah a message from Reese." Winter says.
"What does it say?" Yang asks.
"You got thirty minutes to hide then game on." Winter read off.
"What is that about?" Blake asks.
"It means we are the final test after thirty minutes Reese will be finding us." Winter says as she starts moving.
At Reese.
"Should I tag them?" Patty asks.
"No I'll request who I want you to track." Reese says.
After the timer was up Reese set the first person.
"Find Ruby rose." Reese says.
Patty then reviews that cameras she could use to find ruby, she found her running through the market place then Ruby ducks into an alleyway then that's where Patty lost her for a moment, but a security camera picked her up going into a building.
"Ruby is located in a the hotel by the theme park." Patty says.
The hotel in question is the hotel sapphire during peak season it can house up to 300 guests.
But there was a hitch.
When Reese got to the hotel there happened to be a convention and people were cosplaying as their favorite characters and some of the people had red cloaks on.
"Smart move ruby, but I'll find you." Reese says as he cloaks and walks in.
After looking around for a minute Reese could not find Ruby.
"Patty use mics." Reese says.
Now Patty was looking through all the audio and listening for that distinct sound ruby makes.
"So how much for this limited edition?" Ruby was asking a vendor.
"Convention hall floor two." Patty says.
Reese then heads upstairs and found the vendors area, still loads of red cloaks.
"Use armor mics." Reese says.
The armor then hones in on ruby.
"Got ya." Reese says as he taps ruby on the shoulder.
"Gahhhh! Dang it!" Ruby says.
"Haha you gave me a challenge right there but I found you, when your done having fun head home." Reese says.
"Ok I just need a few more minutes." Ruby says.
Reese turns away to look for the next team member.
Weiss and tai with jaune, Nora,and ren were in the same hotel and theme park area .
Blake and Yang were in the market place they got the idea to change into different outfits to thrown Patty off, but still no match for Patty.
Soon it was night fall and Reese just barely found Yang hiding in a library.
"Ok that leaves….Winter." Reese groaned.
Now winter will be the hardest to find she is better trained than Reese.
"Find her." Reese says.
Patty looked for several minutes.
"I'm sorry the last known location is when she was with the group." Patty says.
Now reese was thinking of where winter would have gone.
"I know where she is." Reese says.
Reese then went out of town and headed straight to the cliff side area where summer rose grave is.
When the trees cleared lo and behold there was Winter looking down at the memorial for Reese's team.
"Found you." Reese says.
"Indeed you did, so this is where you put them." Winter says as she looked back at Reese.
"Yeah it's a great location three unknown people get an unknown location for a grave site." Reese says.
"So I guess the test is complete?" Winter says.
"Yeah your the last one, everyone else is back at the house." Reese says.
"Ok let's head back and unleash Patty." Winter says.
Ten minutes later and one laptop ready to go everyone was gathered around.
"So this test you did will find Ozpin?" Nora asks.
"Hopefully. Patty you ready?" Reese asks.
"Yep tell me who I'm looking for." Patty says.
"Look for Oscar pine." Reese orders.
In that instant Patty went out through the net looking around the world of Remnant jumping from nation to nation digging looking for Oscar.
"How long do we have to wait?" Yang asks.
"Could be minutes or days." Reese replied back to her as he stretches.
Reese then lays down on the couch and threw a blanket over himself, and settled in for a long night.
"I would suggest to call it a night Yang it's going to get boring." Reese said as he closed his eyes.
Yang nodded and went to her room with Ruby in tow.
After five hours Reese got a hit.
"Located Oscar pine." Patty says.
Reese's eyes open to see not a glow of a laptop, but the golden hair color of his wife.
"Couldn't sleep with out me?" Reese asks.
Yang looks up and Reese could see the sleepy face that yang makes.
"Yes." Yang says in drowsy tone.
Reese then sees the laptop and see that Oscar was located in Menagerie.
"Why is Oscar located there?" Yang asks.
"Don't know. Patty track." Reese says.
Patty then rewinds the camera footage to when Oscar steps off the boat.
"We'll at least he is not alone." Reese says.
Yang looks and sees Oscar was with Qrow, Sun, and Neptune.
The cameras then followed them to a house and the microphones picked up the conversation.
"So what are we doing here?" Neptune asks as he looks around.
"We are going to try to negotiate with the White Fang to see if we can gain support from them." Ozpin says with confidence.
"Are you going to stop them?" Yang asks.
"Ozpin is unaware that I dismantled the organization long time ago." Reese says back.
"Still are you going to stop them?" Yang asks again.
"Patty activate speakers." Reese says.
Click!
"The White Fang no longer exists oz." Reese says.
On the camera everyone stops and looked around.
"Reese where are you come on out!" Qrow says.
"I'm far away from you I'm after oz." Reese says back.
"Where are you mr. Reese?" Oz asks.
"Again far away. But you're in deep trouble oz and now you need to answer mine and team rwby's questions." Reese says.
"Can we do this another time, I'm quite busy at the moment." Oz says.
Click! That was the speaker's turning off.
Just then Neptune and sun's scroll's went off.
Little did they know that Weiss and Blake texted them at Reese's order.
The message said "Don't trust Ozpin."
Both young men stopped walking and they looked at each other and nodded, and walked away.
"Where are you two going?" Qrow asks.
"Away someone I trust is telling me to leave." Sun says.
When they were both were out of sight the click came back.
"Ready to talk now?" Reese asks.
"You planing on dismantling us and the closest guarded secrets to be exposed to Salem?" Qrow asks.
"Well from the looks of it I hold the only thing that is never explained. Rubys silver eyes. I wonder why you oz of all people wanted her to be in your school." Reese says.
"How do you know about that conversation?" Oz asks.
"I didn't but several tangos keept talking about them so there has to be something there but, I look up books about legendary warriors but, there is no reference to silver eye combatants." Reese says.
Qrow then leans in to oz.
"He has us you can't slick talk your way out." Qrow says.
"I heard that." Reese says.
"What do you want Reese?" Oz asks.
"Turn around and head to Patch. We are now going to operate on my terms." Reese says.
"What happens next?" Qrow asks.
Nothing Reese turned off the microphone.
"Come on oz let's talk to the white fang leaders." Qrow says but he saw something new.
A faunas security force.
"You need to turn around by order of the former white fang leader." One of the security guards said.
Oz and Qrow looked at each other and walked away.
"That can't be a coincidence." Qrow says.
"Well Blake's parents were the former leaders, so it's not to far as a stretch that Reese told her to contact them and get us off." Oz says.
All four of the men got back on the boat with passage to Patch.
Back at patch.
"Did you have to be that mean?" Weiss asks.
"Like I said oz didn't hold up his end of the deal at beacon, but if we have to get to the bottom of everything we need answers." Reese says.
"And how do you plan on getting them?" Weiss asks.
"That I don't know. It's ether oz will give us what we want or we go our own ways." Reese says.
"Your not going to "talk" to oz?" Blake asks.
"Nope." Reese says as he closes his eyes.
"So now what?" Yang asks with disbelief.
"Nothing and hope Salem doesn't make the next move." Reese says.
Few days later.
A boat docked at the main harbor in patch and four men stepped off the boat and looked around.
"Seems is not as chaotic as I imagined." Neptune remarks.
"Hey! You should see where I lived it's about as chaotic as one can imagine." Sun says back.
"You boys can't compare to what I have seen." Qrow says in a low tone.
"Hummm!" Both sun and Neptune wondered.
"I'd take his word for it boys." Oz said.
Little did they all know they were being watched.
Patty was on surveillance duty waiting for them to arrive, and to send the notification when they did.
"So where are they?" Sun asks.
"They are here." Qrow says.
"How do you know?" Sun asks.
"I just saw a young woman with white hair with a braid about 60 feet in front of me." Qrow says as he looks around.
Now everyone was looking around for the rest of the group, but Reese was two steps ahead of oz.
Blake came up at the 7 o'clock position and grabbed sun without getting noticed, Weiss did the same for Neptune at 5 o clock.
"Do you boys see anything?" Qz asks.
Silence.
"Um we got a problem oz." Qrow says with an edge.
Oz looks back and sees that indeed both young men were gone.
"How?" Oz asks bewildered.
But again silence, what oz didn't see was Yang and Tai dragged Qrow away with out a fuss.
Now oz just realized he is all alone in unknown territory.
"Hello ozpin." Ruby said.
Oz then sees Ruby standing in front of him.
"Miss Rose, I assume your here because Reese told you." Oz says.
"No I'm here on my own accord Reese just set up the meeting, now you are going to answer my questions." Ruby says.
"I will tell you in time." Oz said.
Wrong answer. Ruby then turns and immediately blends into the crowd.
And just like that oz realized that the one piece that he needs to stop Salem once and for all is gone.
But while oz was thinking he didn't see plan b in effect.
One sharp jab to the arm and sudden blackout later he didn't know what got him.
"Shit oz is heavy." Reese remarks as he carries oz on his back.
Some time later oz began to wake up and the first thing he became aware of was, he was in a basement and two he was tied down.
"He's awake." Winter says.
"Yeah but is he really here?" Yang asks.
"Eh give him a few." Reese says.
After 20 minutes oz was fully awake.
"Good dnow that you're awake we can get started." Reese says as he pulls up a chair.
"Reese what you did is very illegal." Oz says in an attempt to guilt him.
"Well you would be right but, when you're the son of an atlas general and she says you're a POI and tell wherever local authorities to back off, it comes in handy to have that kind of immunity." Reese says with a grin.
Oz then realized that any sort of negotiation tactics he had were out the window.
"What do you mean your ironwoods son?" Oz asks with confusion.
"No still Winters." Reese says back.
"But ironwood is the only general over atlas." Oz retorts back.
"You heard wrong ironwood is dead." Reese says with a deadpan voice.
"What how? Grimm?" Oz says with panic.
"Shot." Reese says.
"You did it?" Oz says as he gets angry.
"No I did." Yang says.
"Why? He was the only person who is holding the biggest secret known to remment." Oz says.
"He was going to kill Reese and as his wife I wasn't going to let that happen even if it was for the greater good." Yang says as her eyes flicker to red.
"And now as the current general you now need to tell me what is the secret." Winter says.
"Tell everyone to leave." Oz says.
"Nope everyone stays or we are going to be here for a long time." Winter says.
Just then ruby burst through the door and she was mad and holding a taser.
"OZ I'M GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR EXCUSES AND YOUR SECRETS NOW I'M DEMANDING ANSWERS!" Ruby shouts.
And without warning she starts tazing oz, and it wasn't short it was long.
Reese jumps up and was about to intervene but a hand from Yang and Winter stopped him.
"Why are you stopping me she is going to far." Reese says.
"No she wants it, she is going to get them by her way." Winter says.
"AHHHHHH!" Ozpin shouted.
"Why are my eyes special? Why did you admit me to Beacon two years early? What happened to my mother?" Ruby said in a rage/sadness tone.
"Ruby stop he'll talk." Yang says.
Ruby then removes the taser and listens.
"The reason is that when I noticed you had the silver eyes is because I wanted to start your training two years earlier to be ready for the fight ahead in life." Oz says.
Ruby looks at Reese and he nodded indicating he was telling the truth.
"What fight were you trying to prepare me for? I didn't ask for that." Ruby says.
"Sorry to say miss rose but you can't avoid it it's a fight that's been going on for centuries, it's the fight against evil, but if we can just get you to agree we can end it?" Oz says
"You heard my sister she said that she didn't want to get involved." Yang says.
"Again sorry she has no choice in the matter. Generations of silver eye warriors fought valiantly to end the threat known as Salem." Oz says.
"Wait Salem has been around for centuries?" Yang asks.
"Yes." Reese says.
"You know this too Reese?" Yang asks with confusion.
"No just reaffirming his story." Reese says.
"But all that said to me is that Salem is immortal how will the silver eyes going to do?" Yang asks.
"Yeah that?" Ruby asks angrily.
"Is a subject that is really complex to explain." Oz says.
BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ! Thats the taser.
"It involves silver eyed warriors and how they got the silver eyes to take out immortal creatures." Oz said in a panic.
From Reese's perspective Ruby wasn't going to let up, Reese jumped forward and grabbed Ruby's hand.
"Let's take a break." Reese say's sternly.
Ruby looks back with a fire in her eyes but Reese didn't waver.
"Winter keep an eye on oz and don't let him speak till we get back." Reese says.
Ruby, Reese, and Yang left the basement.
"Why did you stop me? I was close to getting the answers." Ruby said in a rant.
"Because if you continued you would be causing harm." Reese said.
"So how are you going to proceed?" Ruby asks.
"I'm going to get straight to the point, the legends." Reese said flatly.
After about 20 minutes the treo went back and found the room in silence, Winter was sitting in a chair in the far corner of the room with a stern look.
"Did he say anything else?" Reese asks.
"No it's been silent." Winter says.
"Good. Now what are the legends?" Reese asks.
Oz looks to the side as to think for a second.
"We don't have time to think. You tell us or you'll find yourself on the far side of the planet." Reese says as he prepares another syringe.
"What silver eye warriors are legendary throughout the history of remmant, is that they keep the Grimm population in check and they were renowned for bringing peace to nations." Oz said.
"Get to the point where it involves Salem." Reese says urgently.
"It is said that they can take on near supernatural or demigod individuals, and they have the power to suppress or destroy them." Oz said.
"Didn't answer my question who is Salem?" Reese pressed.
"She is…. Well she was a human, before she got corrupt." Oz said somberly.
"Sounds like you know something about her like you knew her….personally." Reese said coldly.
Oz then got wide eyed.
"How did he know there is no way he knew." Oz thought internally.
"You just flinched there oz you're going to tell me what you know about her." Reese said.
"Well I don't know her personally….." oz said.
BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ! Taser incoming.
"Yes I knew her some years ago but we had a falling out." Oz said in a panic.
"How long ago?" Reese asks.
"Some years ago." Oz said back.
"How long?" Reese asks as he comes closer with the taser.
"500 years ago." Oz said.
Now all eyes went wide in the room.
"Fi five hundred years ago?" Ruby asks in a shocked voice.
Just then a phone went off Reese then looked at it and saw it was from Tai.
"Kinda busy." Reese said all too casually.
"No time for casual talk Qrow just got away from me and is now coming to get oz out." Tai says.
"We are not done yet." Reese says back.
"Can't stall him once he has an objective in mind he is going to get it done." Tai says as he hangs up.
Reese then puts down the phone and armors up.
"What's going on honey?" Yang asks.
"Your uncle is coming to get oz. But we are not done yet with asking questions." Reese says.
Reese then got out the front door to then get hit by a random projectile that almost knocked him to the ground but the plate caught it.
"Let ozpin go!" Qrow demanded.
"Ruby is not done with him, she wants some answers." Reese says as he gets back up and activates the enhanced armor mode.
"She is not ready yet for that." Qrow says.
"Well Oz says differently and well she doesn't want to participate. Something about not being "someone else's pawn". Reese says.
Just then Reese saw Qrow's sword then turned into a scythe and took a combat stance.
Reese then reached for his combat stick and got it deployed.
"Stand aside." Qrow commands.
Reese then smiles.
"No, let's dance!" Reese shouts as his armor locked in position.
End
This took way too long. It's probably one of my longest chapters ever written.
