Conflict

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Yang could see her husband and her uncle fighting at blinding speed all because over some principles.

"Ruby has the right to choose!" Reese says.

"She has to defeat Salem!" Qrow says.

They have been both fighting for about 10 minutes but for Yang it felt like hours.

Meanwhile downstairs Ruby, Winter, and Oz were watching the fight from Reese's camera.

"You know Oz I agree with Reese, if you 're honest upfront we wouldn't be in this position." Winter says.

"There are some things that not everyone should know." Oz says.

"Then why did you put Pyrrha in a position that she wasn't ready for?" Ruby says.

Oz then looked up and right at Ruby.

"How did you know about that?" Oz asks in disbelief.

"When I was captured she was with me and told me she regretted listening to you and accepting whatever power you gave her, and the last thing she told me before she was dragged away was don't listen to oz." Ruby says.

Now Oz realized that everyone is against him.

Back outside nobody is making any progress, Reese still has his back to the house, Qrow sweating trying to get past him.

"Look Reese, I don't want to mess you up in front of your wife." Qrow says in an attempt to negotiate.

"Yeah and I agree, put your weapon down and we can stop this madness." Reese says out of breath.

Qrow then starts to slowly put down his weapon but Reese was not letting his guard down.

Just then the blade dropped down with a cocking sound and from the looks of it there was a firearm attached to the hilt.

"OHHH SHIT!" Reese said as he got out of the way.

BOOM!

The spread of pellets missed Reese by a few inches.

At the same time of the evasion Reese dropped a surprise.

BANG! RIINNnnnnnnn.

It was a flash bang.

Qrow was now stumbling around swinging his sword around but Reese was not affected by it thanks to the helmet.

"You're done." Reese said as he got the stun stick ready.

But Qrow then swings his sword and it connects to the stun stick and blocks the attack.

Now it made sense for Reese this was not any normal fighting style it was a drunken style it made him slightly immune to flash bangs.

Back to swords swinging Reese was now on the defensive.

Swing miss swing miss.

Reese was performing backflips to evade Qrow's weapon, Reese then jumped away to get distance but at the same time get into position to attack back.

CLANG! They were locked in now Reese has to figure out how to end this in a hurry.

KICK! PUNCH! Reese kicked Qrow and in response Reese got punched, but the helmet protected him.

"Guys stop, can't you resolve this without force?" Yang shouted.

Apparently neither men heard her.

"Overdrive the armor." Reese says.

Just then Qrow saw the armor glow faint red and suspected something was off, and in return the force on the guard was loose.

Reese now saw this and he threw his katana with Qrow's sword into the ground and in that exact moment Reese jumped just as Qrow recovered his sword, a swing and a miss.

Just then Qrow felt some weight on his arm, he turned around and saw Reese standing there on the blade of his weapon and for a brief moment he thought he saw Winter again with her smirk.

That was the last thing he saw before a powerful kick knocked him out.

Yang's jaw hit the dirt.

"How did you win!?" She asked.

"Don't know, I just got lucky. And now team rwby is running the show, not Ozpin." Reese said as he retrieved his katana from the ground.

"LOOK OUT!" Yang shouted.

Reese then looks back to see Qrow is up and is about to drop the blade on him.

Patty at that moment ran several million calculations to figure out how to stop the blade.

"Fore arms…. No. Evade no. Divert all energy from the armor to stop the blade….. 78% chance of working." Patty whispered.

At that moment Patty diverted all the energy from the armor to one spot to protect Reese from the blade.

CLANG! SCHHEH!

The blade was stopped right on the left shoulder now Reese was in a tight spot.

Now from what is happening Reese in theory could stand there for a long time and Qrow would be out of strength for an easy win.

CRACK!

That was a sound Reese didn't want to hear.

The armor mode was cracking and if Reese didn't figure out a solution it would be breached.

Reese then reached for the DEW and set it up to fire.

Yang now saw what he was about to do.

"NOT THAT!" Yang shouted.

"Humph go ahead kid." Qrow taunts.

"As you wish." Reese says as the helmet reads ready.

Reese then aimed the DEW at Qrow's weapon and fired.

Pewwwep BOOM!

The sword was now shattered in half Reese rushed forward and tackled Qrow to the ground.

"Why! Won't! You! Admit! Defeat!" Reese said between breaths.

KICK! Qrow kicked Reese to get him off but the armor weight kept him pinned.

"I'll never stop till Ruby defeats Salem." Qrow says.

Reese then raises his arm for another throw down.

"REESE!" Winter shouts.

Reese then stops and looks back.

"Reese Ozpin just surrendered to me. He agreed to go with whatever plan you have." Winter says.

"No interference?" Reese asks.

"No interference." Winter reaffirmed.

Reese then got up and gathered up his equipment from the ground while Qrow stayed where he was.

Reese passed by yang at the door and she grabbed hold of him because he looked like he was at his limit, in the bedroom yang helped him back on the bed where Reese removed the helmet and the armor melted off of him.

"You ok?" Yang asks.

"Don't know it just felt like no matter what I did it felt like nothing was going my way." Reese says.

"That's my uncle's semblance. I don't know what he calls it, but I call it bad luck and apparently it affects those who are around him and he has no control over it." Yang says.

"Well that explains why most of my tactics didn't work." Reese says.

"Well at least we know who wins in a fight." Yang says with a grin.

"Well that question that was asked 7 months ago when we were on the train, I was thinking of fighting in an arena not whatever happened outside." Reese said with a tone of frustration.

Yang was surprised at the tone that Reese had, she was expecting him to be victorious but not upset.

"You didn't really want to fight didn't you?" Yang asks.

"No I didn't want to, but I didn't want Ruby to go down a path she didn't want to go through." Reese says.

"Is the path a bad one?" Yang asks.

Silence.

"Is it?" Yang asked again but got no response.

Yang looks over to see Reese fast asleep.

"Guess that took a lot out of him. I wonder what we are going to do?" Yang says as she leaves.

"Make the final strike."

Yang thought she heard something from Reese.

"What?" Yang inquires.

"Make the final strike." Reese says more clearly.
