Full Title: Last to fall Asleep (won't lose out on a million dollars)
Chris woke everyone up by blowing an air horn through a megaphone. In the Gopher Girls side, Leshawna banged her head on the bottom bunk.
"Ow! Damn motherfucker," she muttered and got up, leaned out the window and bellowed, "IT'S SEVEN IN THE GODDAMN MORNING! DO I LOOK LIKE A FARMER TO YOU?"
Sophia sighed as everyone in the cabin started yelling and complaining. Beth seemed to be the only cheerful one as she got ready, humming a song. Even Izzy was tired.
Sophia changed and headed to the door, Heather cutting in front of her, glaring at her. Sophia dramatically bowed and opened the door for her. The Queen Bee smirked and walked out. Sophia kicked the back of her leg and smiled as she watched the ravenette fall down the steps.
Gwen and Leshawna laughed, high-fiving her while Lindsay ran out to her friend and helped her up. "Are you okay, Helga? Did you trip?"
"I'm fine!" Heather slapped her hand away. She glared as Sophia, Gwen and Leshawna walked past. "You bitch. You'll pay for that!" They ignored her and left with Izzy and Beth following.
Camilo groggily got changed. Yesterday had been pretty tiring for the first day's challenge. Now they were being woken up too early.
Wonderful.
Noah and Cody were hurrying to get ready too, but Owen was still sleeping and Justin was fixing his hair, grumbling about not having time to properly get ready.
Camilo sighed and left with Cody and Noah, leaving the other two to their whatever.
Luca and Jaeden fell off their beds, scrambled into their clothes, tripped over each other and burst outside, falling onto the porch. Duncan walked out, stepping on Jaedan. Tyler followed and tripped over Luca, the second person to tumble down the steps.
"Are you okay, Tyler?" Luca asked, worriedly, standing up.
"I'm fine!" Tyler said, confidently. "I'm ready for today's challenge!" He flexed and jogged over where everyone else was lining up. Jaeden and Luca followed as DJ, Geoff and Ezekiel appeared.
Justin finally appeared with Owen and Harold joined them on the way from his team's cabin, the three boys hurrying over. Cody was being yelled at by Eva for touching her MP3 player, Duncan tripped Harold as he walked by, Heather was glaring at half her team, and Luca was trying to stay awake.
"Morning campers, hope you all slept well," Chris said with sadistic cheer.
"It was kinda hard seeing as I had your mom in my bed with me," Jaeden muttered. Bridgette covered her mouth after gasping and Geoff and Duncan sniggered at this comment.
"What?" Luca asked his friend.
"Nothing."
"Hi Chris, you look buff in those shorts," Heather commented, sarcastically. Sophia gagged obnoxiously loud and Gwen smirked.
"I know. Okay, I hope you're all ready because your next challenge begins in exactly one minute!"
"Oh, excuse me, Chris, but won't we be having breakfast first?" Owen spoke up.
"Oh you'll get breakfast, Owen," Chris assured him.
"He actually likes the food here?" Luca whispered to Jaeden, who shrugged, grumpily.
"You'll eat right after your twenty kilometer run around the lake!" Chris finished.
"Oh, so you're funny now?" Eva snarled. "Know what else I think is funny?" She started forward but her teammates held her back while Luca slowly moved behind Jaeden to hide.
"Eva control your temper!" Courtney hissed.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" Eva hissed, struggling in Geoff and Duncan's grip.
"A little," Chris replied, smirking. "You have thirty seconds to get to the starting line."

Courtney- Okay, that girl, Eva needs to control her temper. It's been two days and she's broken almost everything she can. Our cabin has a broken window from where she threw her suitcase out of.
Luca- Eva's scary…
"On your mark…"
Jaeden glared at Sophia.
"Get set…"
They both bent down in the runner's crouch.
"GO!"
Both twins took off neck and neck.
Gwen, Izzy, Leshawna and Justin actually tried and all stayed together for a while. Noah and Cody were behind, but the tech geek was actually trying. Owen, of course, was way behind. Heather just walked and Beth passed her and Owen. Camilo was a little behind Sophia. Lindsay managed to catch up to the big group of Gophers.
Tyler was behind his team, surprisingly and Duncan scoffed at this, from where he ran with Geoff, Courtney, and Bridgette. DJ was ahead but nowhere near Eva. Ezekiel and Harold were behind, but a little in front of Katie and Sadie. And Luca was just completely behind everyone.
Camilo ran, observing Eva, who was in the front and the fastest. Everyone around him was now scattered instead of with their team or in groups. He concentrated and suddenly he was Eva as well.
"Hi, Eva!" He said in his voice from her body to her. "See ya at the finish line!" Eva started chasing him and he ran.
"That's… still so weird to see," Harold wheezed to Ezekiel as the two Evas ran, one chasing the other.
"Ayup," the Homeschool kid agreed, chuckling. "But as long as she isn't chasing me, eh."
Jaeden ran up behind Heather, who was yelling at Noah for pushing past her as he for once tried on the challenge. He tapped her shoulder and ducked away as Heather started yelling at Lindsay, who was walking beside her now.
Jaeden, snickering, tapped Gwen's shoulder and the Goth turned to glare at Harold beside her as Ezekiel attempted to run ahead.
"What?"
"Don't touch me!" Gwen snapped.
"I didn't, GOSH!" Harold yelled as he felt his asthma act up a bit.
Jaeden did it one last time to his twin and raced off as she took her shoe off to hit him. She wasn't fooled by him.
Sophia's shoe hit Courtney and the CIT hit the ground, everyone around her burst out into laughter as Sophia bolted.
"What are y'all doing?" Chris yelled, riding pass. "Stop messing around and get going!"

Heather- I don't run! And I definitely don't run in high-heel wedges!
Luca- I CAN'T! /he's breathing hard after the run/ That was way too hard!
Courtney- Okay, the twins are really starting to get on my nerves!
Sophia- Sorry, Courtney. Meant to hit my pesky brother!
Jaeden- I am so cool. /smirks/
Heather skidded to a halt when she came across Owen drinking water from a puddle on the ground like a dog. She sneered in disgust.
"Must. Have. Condition!" He gasped in between slurps.
"Yeah, it's called overeating, fatso!" Heather snapped as Leshawna wobbled past and leaned against a tree.
"And what's your excuse? You skinny bit–!"
Chris suddenly passed again on his cart. "Get a move on! People are already at the Main Lodge!"
Heather growled in annoyance and stepped on Owen, storming ahead. After a bit, Leshawna tried helping Owen up.
In the distance, she spotted Noah jogging when suddenly the Bookworm collapsed. As if his worry gave him energy, Owen jumped up and raced over, picking the smaller boy up.
"Noah! Hang in there, little buddy!" He raced away and Leshawna followed.
Camilo leaned comfortably back on the bench next to Izzy, Heather sat on his other side, looking annoyed as she filed her nails. The race was pretty easy for him as Eva. The real Eva was of course already here as well as many others. Only Luca, Leshawna, Owen, Noah and Harold were missing.
Just then, the door burst open and Owen carrying Noah appeared. "CLEAR A TABLE, STAT!" Leshawna followed behind the two boys, dropping to her knees in the doorway.
"Ooh, we made it!" She gasped. Camilo really started worrying about Luca again.
"Where are they?" Duncan groaned.
"Pathetic," Eva added.
"Hey, that's not nice, eh," Ezekiel said.
"I wasn't asking you, redneck."
"That was not a nice thing to say," Katie said.
"All of you shut up!" Courtney snapped, annoyed.
Finally, Harold appeared with Luca behind him, who was crying. Courtney immediately stormed over and started yelling at them. Luca cried louder and Courtney hesitated, looking awkward.
"Oh, Luca, stop crying, I'm not really mad," she lied through gritted teeth. Then she continued lecturing Harold alone.
"I have asthma!" The ginger boy snapped. "Gosh!" He yelled in her face.
"Wait, if they lost that means… we won the challenge?!" Gwen exclaimed, uncertain yet excited. The Gophers cheered, including Noah, who was apparently just fine.
Sophia rolled her eyes at this.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, guys! That wasn't the challenge!" Chris yelled.
"Um, what?"
"Who's hungry?"
And then the buffet was revealed.

Gwen- After a whole week of Chef's shit he called food, I almost cried at the sight of the buffet.
Owen- There was so much food… /sniffles and wipes a tear away/ All home cooked… Can I have a moment?
Sophia- Food? As in actual edible food? No… this has gotta-
Jaeden- -Be a trick!
"It could be a trick!" Jaeden said before anyone could race forward. "Isn't it weird that they've been giving us shitty food for a week and then they give us real food?"
Chef growled.
"He's right!" Sophia yelled at the man. "Don't even get offended!"
"Yeah, your food sucks!" Eva yelled.
"Go get some cooking lessons, Chef Ratchet!" Duncan added.
Noah stuck his tongue out at the man, finishing up the insults.
"I don't get paid enough!" Chef growled and stabbed a butcher knife into the table before leaving.
"Well, this food is all good, so dig in!" Chris smiled.
"Did Chef make it?" Luca asked. Chris shook his head, so the boy approached the table and warily took a bite out of a turkey leg.
Everyone waited tensely for something to happen.
Luca's eyes lit up and he started basically gobbling down food.
Everyone else took it as a sign that it was okay and helped themselves.
"Chew your food!" Sophia reprimanded her brother, smacking his head and actually making him almost choke.
Owen, practically all over the table, grabbed everything within reach and shoved it into his mouth.
"Save some for the rest of us," Leshawna said, annoyed.
"Yeah, fatass!" Heather snapped. Leshawna grabbed some gravy and it ended up on the Queen Bee's head.
After a few minutes the buffet was picked clean. Luca and Leshawna were on the ground, in pain from eating too much and everyone else looked sleepy.
"Alright, it's time for the main challenge," Chris announced.
"I thought eating was the second part," Owen mumbled.
"Well, then congrats, you've won," Noah drawled, sarcastically, wiping his mouth.
"Nope, that wasn't the second part! Get ready for the… Awakeathon!"
"Why you-" Sophia began.

Sophia- /censor, censor, censor, censor/I hate CHRIS!
Luca-I'm so done! I go to bed early! I'm just a kid! /he looks down miserably/
Camilo- Oh, he's good, alright. Never met anyone more devious than me.
It was twelve hours in by now.
"We are now twelve hours in with all campers still awake," Chris narrated as Owen shuffled around to stay awake. Everyone had bags under their eyes.
"Stay awake for twelve hours? I could do that in my sleep! Woo-hoo!" After a long pause Owen was out.
"Out like light," Jaeden trilled. Luca sat beside him, surprised he wasn't out first. But he knew he'd go soon.

Gwen- The Awakeathon was definitely the most brutal thing I've ever done in my life.
Jaeden- I'm a night party animal to the max! I've got this!
"This is the most boring thing I've done in my life," Camilo groaned from where he had his back against a stump.
Izzy next to him looked at him and said, "well, it could be worse."
"How so?"
"Almost everyone on our team is boring, but you're fun," Izzy said, smiling.
Camilo smiled back and said, "yeah, you're cool, too."
Izzy smirked. "Of course, I am."
Heather was watching them with narrowed eyes.

Heather- So my next step would be to get some people to be in an alliance with me. So I can have their votes and get rid of who I want. And they can be guaranteed safety for a while. But who would be easy to manipulate?
Izzy- Now Leshawna better stay away.
Camilo- I'm quite happy with the amount of friends I'm making so far on this island. Some people like Duncan and Courtney are shady. Other than that I trust everyone on my own team, at least.
"What are you doing?" Sophia muttered, watching Lindsay doing a headstand.
"Getting the blood to rush to my head, I think it's working!" Lindsay exclaimed.
"Let me try," Beth said excitedly then stood on her hands, wobbling a bit.
"Yeah, dumbasses, I don't think that'll work," Sophia said, rolling her eyes.
Heather meanwhile smirked in victory. "Beth, Lindsay, can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure," Beth said and she and Lindsay stood upright before following the Queen Bee to a secluded area. Sophia, suspicious, got up and followed. She hid behind a tree and eavesdropped.
"Okay, so I have a plan to take two people with me to the final three and I have picked you two."
"Really?" Beth squealed.
"You should know how serious this is," Heather said, "I'm placing my trust in you, so you better stay loyal. Here are some rules. You do everything I say, I can borrow your stuff, but don't touch my stuff, understand?"
Beth looked disconcerted for a moment before she and Lindsay nodded. "We're going to the final three!" Lindsay squealed and she and Beth cheered.
"Oh, and also no dating allowed," Heather added.
"Why not?" Lindsay asked, looking confused.
"Because boyfriends are like alliances and the only alliance should be ours, got it?"
"Okay."
"I guess," Lindsay sighed, giving Tyler a forlorn stare.

Lindsay- That's too bad, I was starting to really like Taylor… but if Heather doesn't find out, I could still spend time with him, right?
Beth- We're going to the final three! I can't believe it! It'll be great to get so far as long as I stick with the alliance… /she then looks guilty for a moment before leaving without another word/
Eva got up to go to the bathroom and dropped her music player unbeknownst to her. Jaeden had noticed this and spotted Heather smirking deviously before marching towards it. He stood up and raced for it.
He slipped and fell but grabbed it and stuffed it in his pocket. Some people were watching in interest, but he ignored them as he got up and went back to his side with a smirk of his own.
"Nice try," he mumbled to himself, looking at the Queen Bee out of the corner of his eye as he sat down.
Heather blinked for a moment before she walked back to her own team, looking annoyed. But secretly she was also impressed by his quickness.
Katie and Sadie, Geoff, Luca and Camilo were down by the twenty-four hour mark.
Courtney was moving around and Tyler was really being affected by sleep deprivation. He was staring at Katie and Sadie when a bear jumped out a bush and swatted them aside. Or at least he saw it happen.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He howled, jumping to his feet. Everyone looked around at him like he was crazy. He plopped down, embarrassed.
"Congrats on making it to the twenty-four hour mark!" Chris announced. "Time to take things up a notch! Fairy tales!" He unveiled the books and Chef appeared in a pink sheep suit and an instrument.
Some of the teens snickered and Chef growled, glaring in their direction. "It ain't Halloween, Chef. It ain't Halloween," Jaeden said, crossing his arms and legs.
Chris began reading in a boring tone as Chef strummed the instrument. Geoff, Beth and Cody dozed off.
Cody was having a nice dream of jumping sheep and a beautiful gold harp was playing on its own.
It was a very nice dream until…
…Owen farted in his face, waking him up. He gagged and fell to the ground, realizing he had fallen asleep on his butt. Not a comfy pillow like he had thought.
Chef was suddenly dressed in a ballerina suit with music and everything, sprinkling fairy dust over all of them and more people fell asleep.
DJ decided to tie himself to a tree, hoping that being upright would help him stay awake but when the fairy dust hit him he passed out and the tree broke, falling on him.
"Tim-ber!" Gwen and Sophia muttered at the same time and they smirked at each other.
"Okay, that's gotta stop," Sophia said, smiling.
"Well, I was thinking of saying it first, so…"

Gwen- Now that Trent's gone I might as well start making more friends since I have only two. Plus, Sophia's pretty badass.
Sophia- Finally found someone as badass as me.
Courtney- I figured if I kept moving, I'd outlast them all. I just had to keep my eye on the ball.
Jaeden- /smirks/ Can't wait to rub it in Sophia's face when my team wins for the second time so far!
Justin was still standing, Courtney was still moving, Jaeden was still throwing around a marble he'd snuck with him, and Gwen and Sophia had begun to talk.
Heather took all of this in and nudged Lindsay, saying, "we should talk about our strategy."
Lindsay fell backwards, apparently fully asleep. Beth was, too.
"Okay, favorite movie?" Gwen was asking Sophia as the two played Uno. Sophia had stolen them from her brother's bag and snuck them with her when she had heard about the challenge.
Owen walked by butt naked as they continued their game and conversation and they both stared after him with wide eyes as he sleep-walked into the woods.
"Well, I'm sure awake now," Sophia muttered.

Owen- /chuckles nervously/ Yeah, funny thing about baked beans… I sleep walk after eating them.
Sophia- ...I'm scared for life now.
"Look at him! He hasn't moved at all for so many hours!" Sophia whispered. She and Gwen were standing in front of Justin observing him.
"That's just… wow," Gwen muttered. The two girls started waving their hands and making noises until Gwen poked his face and his real eyes opened!
"His eyelids are painted open! I saw it!" Eva shouted, angrily.
"Shut up!" Chris said in disbelief and jogged over.
He observed Justin's eyes as the model smiled sheepishly and complimented, "that is so freaking awesome! But… you're still out, dude."
Justin sagged but looked around quickly and spotted Camilo passed out. "At least, I outlasted him, probably." And then he strutted away.
"You'd think he's competing with his own teammate more than the Killer Bass," Sophia commented as she and Gwen sat down again.
"Honestly," Gwen laughed. "Some people hold a grudge against the dumbest things."
There were now three people on the Gophers side and four on the Bass. Gwen, Sophia and Heather. Eva, Ezekiel, Duncan and Jaeden.
Jaeden caught his twin's eye and mouthed, "you're going down."
Sophia rolled her eyes and mouthed back, "you wish."
"I wonder where Owen is," Gwen murmured.
Owen somehow climbed back up the waterfall, following the fish. He did this all in his sleep.
"Who knows," Sophia shrugged. And did they really want to? She stretched and blinked many times, watching her brother throw his marble around.
Just gotta keep my eye on the ball… literally.
Ezekiel and Eva had fallen asleep, the Homeschool boy having outlasted the Bodybuilder. He was used to it because of his schedule on his family farm. But for three days with no sleep? That was his limit it seemed.
Duncan made Harold pee his pants to entertain himself. "Hahaha!" He laughed loudly. "It works! Gross!" Harold jerked awake and quickly covered his crotch. "Look, Dorkahontos peed his pants!"
"No, I didn't!" Harold protested even if the evidence was obvious.
Katie and Sadie finally stirred and awoke. "Woah, that was the best sleep I've gotten in a while," Sadie said.
"I know, right?"
Noah had a less peaceful awakening as he woke up to find himself kissing Cody and snuggling him too!
Cody stiffened when he opened his eyes and slowly turned to see Noah! He had thought it was a girl!
"Ahhhhhhh!" The two boys screamed and scrambled away from each other, embarrassed.
Izzy woke up from their screams and immediately caught sight of something that jolted her wide awake. Camilo. Snuggling. Leshawna! Izzy stumbled over and shoved Leshawna away, waking Camilo in the process.
"Abuela? Is it time for the party yet?" He mumbled sleepily as Leshawna looked around confused.
"I. Need. Coffee!" Jaeden stammered, his eyes looked terribly red as they darted around wildly, his hair ruffled, making him look like a wild animal.
Just then, Chris appeared slurping on a cup of coffee. Jaeden and Gwen attacked him but he warded them off.
"GIVE! GIVE!" Jaeden screeched like a banshee, startling Luca out of sleep.
"Can I at least eat the grinds?" Gwen asked, pleadingly.
"Sheesh, y'all are like drug addicts," Duncan mumbled.
"What is the matter with you people?" Chris asked. "Alright, you five stay with me, the rest of you go shower! You stink for goodness sake!"
Harold immediately darted away and Bridgette picked up Luca, who was too tired to move. Once everyone else was gone. The five remaining people sat on the front stumps near Chris.
"Okay, I didn't want it to come to this. I told Chef that but damn it you kids are stubborn!" Chris said. "So I've found the most boring sleep-inducing activity ever!"

Gwen- Oh, c'mon what now? You know what? Bring it!
Sophia- Either me or Gwen have to win for our team! I know Heather won't stay awake any longer so it's up to us to make sure my brother's team doesn't claim victory again!
Jaeden- I'll bring the win for our team! Just you wait!
Duncan- Man, the people left are pretty good. It's gonna be a tough one.
Heather- /she rubs her eyes and pinches herself repeatedly/ C'mon, c'mon! Stay awake! You've made it this far already!
"The History of Canada… a pop-up book. Chapter one…"
"God, kill me now," Jaeden grumbled as the others sighed in frustration.
Meanwhile, as Chris read about the beaver, Owen was stuck in said animals' dam, getting hit by them, yet he still slept on. It all morphed with his dreams.
Chris had moved onto the next chapter.
"...which of course was a precursor…."
Duncan and Heather were down.
"We've got this, right Gwen?" Sophia turned to her friend, who fell face-first as she fell asleep.
"NOOO!" Sophia yelled. "Crap. Now it's up to me or my team will hate me for losing for them all!"
"Bathroom break!" Chris announced.
"I've held it this long, sis!" Jaeden said, smugly.
"Okay, but can you hold it for another chapter?" She shot back.
Jaeden hesitated and fiddled his fingers nervously before saying, "pfft! Yeah, I can! Full steam ahead!"
"Staring contest!" Sophia declared and both twins stared into each other's eyes. Blue looked into green.
"Wow, this is so intense," Chris said, rolling his eyes in an amused manner, not even bothering to read any longer.
A few more minutes passed.
Then… one of the twins fell.
"And the winner of the Awakeathon is…"

"Sophia! The Screaming Gophers win!"
As he said this Sophia also fell to the ground and in a few seconds the redhead was snoring peacefully.
Eva drifted in and out of sleep for most of the day before the elimination ceremony. The first one for the Bass. Jaeden had held out pretty well but his twin sister's determination to win was his downfall.
Finally, when she awoke again she went to shower and took to sitting on the steps of her team's cabin. She was wondering who would get eliminated. The team had decided that they would all just vote instead of discuss it and see what would happen.
Too nervous to think of who would be voted off, she took out her MP3 player to listen to music. Jaeden had returned it to her when she had dropped it which she was grateful for.
Someone could have stolen it.

Heather- When I attempted to steal Eva's MP3 player I had been trying to turn a team against their own member so they would kick off their strongest player! Easiest strategy in the book! That Jaeden is pretty good. But… they have another player that can go. And this time, my plan won't fail.
Leshawna- Okay, what is up with that crazy white girl? Almost every time she's glaring at me and she kicks me during the Awakeathon! What in the hell did I do to her?
Camilo- Okay, is it me or is Izzy being more… clingy than usual after she found me accidently hugging Leshawna? Okay! I still sleep with a stuffed animal and I was thinking she was the animal in my sleep! So what? I'm just a little homesick even if it's only been a couple of days.
Heather went up to Ezekiel, who was easily one of the people she could convince. "Hey, Ezekiel, right?" She asked. The boy was sitting alone under a tree far from the cabins.
Ezekiel looked up at her confused and surprised before putting a smile on his face, saying, "Ayup."
"Listen, I know it isn't my business to interfere with your teammates and what they're doing, but there is a teammate, who's currently a threat to you right now."
Ezekiel blinked. "Um, what're you talking about? Who? Eva? I mean, yeah, she gets mad, but she isn't always too bad." Or in other words she was a strong player for their team.
"It isn't her." Heather said the name and the Homeschool kid blinked.
"Um, are you sure? They wouldn't do that…" he looked uncertain.
"Sure… but see you yourself could be on the chopping block. After all, you're just a boy from the prairie. Everyone else has more to give to the team, but soon you'll be picked off. And Luca. I heard people talking about it, so maybe you'd do this to save your buddy, hm? Think about it."
And with that she walked away with a smirk, leaving a worried Ezekiel behind.
After a moment of dreading, Ezekiel got to his feet and raced to the cabin. He, of course, cared about Luca too, not just his own safety.
He ran right into the person he was looking for. "Hey, Zeke," Jaedan said.
"Jaedan, are you good at convincing people?" He said hurriedly. Jaedan blinked at his panic, but nodded.
"Why? What's wrong?"
"I just need you to tell the others to vote for a certain person. Or they might get me or Luca out instead!"
"Wow, slow down, you stayed in longer than half the team."
"But this could be an excuse for them to vote off Luca!" Ezekiel said.
Jaeden blanched. Right, he couldn't save Luca if people wanted him gone. "Okay, who's the person we're voting for?" Ezekiel whispered it to him and he shrugged.
"Better than Luca or you I guess."
Then he casually walked over to Katie and Sadie, ready to give his most convincing reasoning.
"Okay. You've all cast your votes. When I call your name, come and get your marshmallow. The person who does not get a marshmallow must immediately walk the Dock of Shame, board the boat of losers and you can never come back. EVER!"
Jaeden was looking pissed off despite his running around he had done earlier. Luca observed his friend. He wanted to comfort him and congratulate him on being the last one awake on their team and say that he was sure no one would vote for him -BUT- he was too scared.
Besides, it was probably himself who would be voted off since he was the first to fall asleep and he was a lag when the challenge had nothing to do with water. Of course, the team would get rid of the lag.
At least he wasn't voted off first. Would he at least be able to say goodbye to Camilo as well?
"The first marshmallow goes to Jaeden obviously, who had no votes," Chris said.
The brunette looked up in happiness before going to get his marshmallow. When he sat down next to Luca again he leaned over to him. "Sophia was right, getting the first marshmallow feels great!"

It was now down to Luca and DJ. The two had started sweating profusely now but then suddenly Luca hung his head in defeat as if he already knew.
Jaeden crossed his fingers. If they voted off his friend he would make sure their lives were a living nightmare.
Ezekiel swallowed hoping the plan had worked.

"Okay, I'll get on the boat," Luca mumbled.
"What're you talking about, man? You're safe! Come get your marshmallow!" Chris said, snapping the boy out of his misery.
"Really?" He walked on trembling legs and grabbed the last marshmallow as DJ walked sadly down the dock. Some of the others offered him goodbyes.
He doesn't deserve to go. I do… Luca thought sadly.
"The rest of y'all are safe for now," Chris said. "Have a good night's sleep."
Ezekiel and Jaedan fist-bumped. But they both felt slightly guilty. DJ was nice, but imagine the satisfaction the others would show if they had gotten rid of their kid friend?
Luca walked up to them and they both patted him on the shoulder. The boy looked at his marshmallow almost in wonder. "I can't believe I made it. I mean, I was sure I fell asleep first."
"Well, Luca, you have much more to give to the team even if it doesn't have to do with water… I'm sure of it," Jaeden said.
"Yeah, so it's your chance to prove it to them, eh," Ezekiel added.
Luca smiled and hugged them both before running on ahead. He was lucky to have friends like them in this competition.

Bridgette- I vote for… DJ? People have been saying he was one of the first few to fall asleep. And I can't vote myself. I actually didn't want to vote with everyone doing so well. But, oh well.
Courtney- I guess DJ like Jaeden said. Not that I'd listen to him, but other than him I'd vote Luca but I don't need to feel guilty anymore for making a kid cry. /She scoffs in annoyance/ If you're not gonna take losing like a champ, why sign up for this show in the first place?
DJ- I vote for Eva… that girl needs to chill out. And I'm not sure I want to vote for Luca.
Duncan- Luca. Kid is no good unless it's in the water. Nothing personal.
Eva- Luca. No offense to the kid but he's starting to lag.
Ezekiel- /he sighs/ Sorry, DJ, but now that I think about it more… Luca and I would be the next targets. We're small and short, and some of our teammates don't really like us.

I feel its necessary to add Heather's plan to get DJ booted just to show the control she has over the game and because I felt my original writing had DJ eliminated randomly just to keep Luca on.
