Disclaimer- Don't own characters of Total Drama, Encanto, or Luca. Do own the twins though.
After a certain interaction between Tyler and Cody later on in this chapter, jokes will be made (by Noah of all people, mostly, if you recall the Awakeathon moment), but they're just jokes and the two will be friends.
Unless y'all wanna take it seriously.
The Gophers sat around the Bonfire Pit the same night Lindsay had been eliminated. They didn't want to see the Bass having fun, or in Sophia's case, didn't want her twin to mock her. It was around eleven thirty at night.
Heather was glaring at everyone, trying to figure out who had stabbed her in the back. When she found out who had kicked off Beth and Lindsay, she would make them sorry!
"What do y'all want? Come to rub your win in our faces?" Sophia suddenly snapped and the rest of the team looked up to see the Bass standing there. Luca was holding green jelly with a gummy worm in the middle.
"No, we just brought extra dessert from our trip," Eva snorted. "Trust me if it hadn't been for the kid convincing us to be more nice we wouldn't be here!" She was glaring specifically at people like Heather and Sophia.
"You guys are too kind," Camilo said, not sounding sarcastic or sincere. Just tired.
"So y'all are just being nice?" Gwen muttered.
"No, Luca is," Duncan corrected as the kid handed the green jelly to Camilo. Suddenly, Thunder rumbled in the sky and Eva jumped. Everyone looked up.
"Looks like it'll storm soon," Camilo commented. "More reason to sit around together and enjoy the campfire while it lasts." He beckoned the Bass and they obliged.
When Eva sat down, Katie asked, "you're scared of thunder?"
Eva hesitated, not wanting to admit her fear. She pondered punching Katie or just admitting the truth and chose the latter.
She finally reluctantly nodded. "And… lightning."
Tyler nearby had overheard and said, "well, chickens give me the creeps, dude."
"You're afraid of chickens?" Gwen and Sophia asked, simultaneously as Duncan snickered.
"You're so lame, man," the punk said.
"I agree," Eva said, smirking.
"Hey, stop being mean, dudes!" Geoff said, frowning.
"Yeah, fear's irrational," Sadie said. "I'd like to hear your guys' fears." She looked at Duncan, who gulped.
(Confessional Cam)
Gwen- So suddenly everyone's having this big share-fest by the fire. Harold's afraid of ninjas and believe it or not Heather admitted she was afraid of sumo wrestlers.
Camilo- Am I good or what? Bonding together like one big happy family to forget about Lindsay being voted off. Hope it's enough. But… isn't it obvious to Heather who might have likely voted against her? /he taps his chin in thought/
Heather- /she takes a deep breath/ I know who obviously went against me… but Camilo is with them! I need the strong players on my side! I'll have to get him somehow! /she stops for a moment, thinking and looking embarrassed for some reason/
"What's my worst fear? Being buried alive," Gwen confessed.
"Being alone," Camilo shrugged.
"Flying, man. That's some crazy stuff," Owen said and Izzy agreed with him.
"Yeah, you would never see Izzy in that kinda death trap!" She said, waving her hands and shaking her head.
"Balloons," Sopha admitted grudgingly and everyone stared at her more oddly than they did to Tyler.
"Anyone make fun of me and I'll break their bones!" Sophia added, threateningly and the snickers stopped, immediately.
"Doing dangerous stuff," Luca said next. "Except if it's diving off a cliff into water because I'm good with water obviously."
"Letting people down," Jaeden said softly and no one made a wise crack for once against him. Sophia gave him a strengthening pat on the shoulder.
They kept going around the group. Geoff was afraid of hail, Katie and Sadie were afraid of bad haircuts, Justin of being imperfect or ugly, Noah of clowns, Cody of diffusing a time bomb under pressure.
"That's really specific," Camilo commented.
"Stems off of every tech person's worst nightmare of not knowing what to do with a buncha wires when fixing devices," the geek explained.
"Spiders," Leshawna said.
"Being lost in a maze, eh," Ezekiel said.
"Alright, it's just you two," Camilo said to Duncan and Courtney.
"I'm not afraid of anything," Courtney said quickly.
"Oh, are ye invincible and brave?" Camilo mocked in a stupid accent.
"Shut up!"
"Fine, what about you Duncan?"
The Delinquent hesitated for a moment before muttering, "Celine Dion Music store Standee."
"Ex-squeeze me? I didn't hear you!" Cody smirked, wickedly.
"CELINE DION STANDEE! THERE I SAID IT! FUCK!"
Everyone snickered and didn't stop until Duncan made the same threat as Sophia.
"Pfft! Whatever, this was pointless," Heather said, glaring at Camilo, who blew her a kiss. Her eye twitched and she got up saying, "I'm going to bed."
Everyone else soon followed her example. Camilo walked in the back of the group and Izzy dropped to walk beside him.
"Are you okay? You've been kinda tense lately."
Guess I'm not being as unsuspicious as I thought.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Camilo waved her off casually. "Don't gotta worry about me."
"Well, I'll always be here for you." She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "If you need someone to talk to."
Camilo watched her hurry ahead, emotions raging inside of him, mostly confusion.
"Campers, your challenge today is a little something I like to call, 'Phobia Factor!'" Chris announced in the Lodge the next day at breakfast. "Prepare to face your worst fears!"
"Worse than this?" Leshawna held up a hairy gray sausage. Camilo hadn't had time to cook before Chef beat him to it and now they were back to disgustingness.
"We're in trouble," Gwen muttered.
"Now for our first victims… Heather! It's Sumo Wrestling Time!"
Heather had taken a sip of what was questionable coffee. She spit-took when she heard this all over Noah's face.
"Gross!" The Bookworm growled, wiping his face and book.
"Gwen, me, you, the beach and a few tons of sand!"
The Goth gasped and Cody patted her on the back, comfortingly. Meanwhile, Heather rounded on Camilo and snapped, "this is your fault! If you hadn't made us confess none of this would be happening! The cameras were recording!"
"Hey, you didn't mind sharing and I didn't want Eva and Tyler to feel alone in being the only ones to accidentally drop it."
"They're on the other team!"
"I'm sure he'd have found out anyway. All our info is on files which he has," Sophia pointed out matter-of-factly and Heather gritted her teeth.
"Chef Hatchet, didn't you have a special order for Tyler?" Chris asked, smirking at the big man.
Chef pulled out a fried chicken and handed it to the Jock, who trembled.
"C'mon, it's not even a live chicken!" Eva snorted.
"You got this, dude, just… bite it? Is that what he's supposed to do?" Geoff scratched the back of his head.
Tyler slowly took a bite out of the head. After a few minutes an actual chicken popped out and the athlete screamed, running out of the Lodge.
Courtney face-palmed, which seemed to be her signature nowadays.
Up first for the Gophers was Noah facing off a clown. It was Chef dressed in a grisly-looking clown suit. Everyone gasped or squealed in fear.
"I hate you, Chris," Noah muttered as the clown advanced. Noah looked wildly around before looking at the book in his hand and chucked it at the clown, reluctantly. Chef grasped his face and lumbered away, muttering curses under his breath.
"And Noah sets the bar way up for his team!" Chris narrated to the cameras as the Gophers cheered and congratulated Noah.
Katie and Sadie were next and Chris put two ugly looking wigs on their heads. They both clenched their eyes shut in disgust when Owen came out of nowhere and snatched Sadie's wig, putting it on himself and dancing around.
He tripped and Chris snatched the wig back before replacing it on Sadie's head. He set the timer for the whole day which was how long they had to keep it on.
"It looks so gross!" Katie whined.
"I know," Sadie sighed then grabbed Katie's hand. "But we can do it. Together."
"Together."
"Awww," Duncan said sarcastically as Eva gagged.
The rest of the Bass followed Chris out of the building.
Izzy and Owen stood around, waiting as Chris instructed. Chef was bringing a plane and was going to fly them around. Finally the beat up orange plane arrived and Izzy tried running but Chef caught her and threw her inside along with Owen.
"Hopefully it doesn't crash," Chris commented casually.
"So it isn't safe?" Camilo asked, incredulously and Sophia looked at Chris evilly.
"Bastard," she muttered under her breath.
"It's okay, Izzy, you've got this!" Cody called. She smiled slightly, but then the door shut and they were off. They could hear them screaming from here.
"The psycho is truly afraid of something for once? Interesting," Heather said, glancing at Camilo out of the corner of her eye.
He shrugged and said, "Hey, fear is irrational."
She stared after him, almost confused.
Harold was on the toilet when he was sure he heard glass shatter and someone or someones breaking in.
He pulled his pants up and grabbed his nunchucks before kicking the door open. There stood three ninjas. He tried to keep his cool and stop shaking so he could spin his nunchucks properly.
He managed it for about a few seconds, making the ninjas cower until he smacked himself square in the forehead with them and fell face-first into the toilet.
The ninjas cringed in disgust.
Leshawna was on the ground, eyes darting around in fear when suddenly Chef appeared in a costume and she ran, screaming.
Heather face-palmed. "It wasn't even a real spider!" She hissed.
"Fear is irrational," Camilo said in an annoying voice, smirking at her.
She glared.
Heather stood at one end of the stage, her eyes bulging in terror. In front of her was the biggest, fattest sumo wrestler she'd ever seen.
"Ew, it's so gross!" She complained.
"I agree. Fatter than Owen," Noah said unhelpfully.
"C'mon, Heather," Camilo said encouragingly and she almost smiled until he added, smirk in voice, "fear is irrational."
"Shut up! Stop saying that!"
Suddenly, the sumo guy charged her and she ducked causing the huge man to trip over her and go bouncing all the way into the woods.
"Another point for the Gophers!" Chris announced and her team clapped.
Meanwhile, Chef was doing all kinds of crazy flying to make it more of a challenge for the two screaming teens in the back. That is until a bird randomly flew in through the window and collided with Chef's face, making the man unable to see.
He stumbled backwards and the plane spun even more out of control as he hit his head on the side and was knocked out.
"GREAT ABBY, WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Owen wailed and squeezed Izzy in a hug almost suffocating her as he cried in fear.
Izzy managed to squirm out of his grip and forgetting about her fear in order to not go down like this, she fought her way to the front since the plane bounced all over the place and grabbed the steering wheel.
Assuming they were heading straight for the ground, she knew she had to pull the wheel upwards so she did just that and they pulled upwards, nearly missing Camilo, who was alone in the woods as he started his part.
The Shapeshifter stared in amazement as Izzy winked at him before the plane became a tiny dot from where he sat.
"And Camilo starts his six hours of solitude," Chris narrated. Camilo leaned back, not afraid of the woods, but the feeling he would have when the loneliness and quietness got to him.
No people surrounding him. No loud babble all around him. Nobody. Just him. All alone. With no one around for a long distance.
He took a deep breath in and then let it out. He got this. Maybe if he took a nap he would forget.
He leaned back against the log and easily fell asleep seeing as he was still tired from the night before when they had spent the night running and running.
Gwen was buried alive with a walkie talkie, Sophia stood by the place she was buried with another walkie, ready to dig her friend up when five minutes was over.
"I'll be here the whole time."
"How about you both face your fears together?" Chris asked and handed a bundle of balloons to Sophia, who froze in shock.
"Okay… I'll just tie them to your wrist. You only have to hold them near you for five minutes as well."
With that Chris and the Gophers left the paralyzed Sophia and the worried Gwen, who kept asking if she was alright.
If only Camilo was here now to say that totally wise line. Cause she felt it would have worked.
"Come on, buddy, you can do this!" Duncan called encouragingly to Luca.
Everyone was watching in the Amphitheater once more as the boy stood atop of a tree with a hang glider which was considered dangerous. His goal was to jump off the tree, steer it, and land on the stage without getting tangled in something or crashing.
Luca started to shake as he gripped the bars even as Duncan, Jaeden and Ezekiel continued to call encouragement.
"C'mon, you've got this!" Jaeden yelled and elbowed Katie and Sadie.
"You've got this, Luca!" Sadie quickly joined in.
"We believe in you!" Katie added.
Still, the boy hesitated.
"Come on, Luca! It's not that hard!" Courtney yelled.
"Oh, and I suppose you know how to hang glide?" Jaeden asked, scathingly. Courtney winced and muttered, "no! But we have to encourage him, so shut up and keep doing that!"
"Fine, but you don't have to sound so rude!" Jaeden muttered.
"I can't!" Luca hung his head. "It's too far! I'll probably crash!"
"It's not as far as you think! SUCK IT UP!" Courtney yelled and noticed her teammates shaking their heads in disgust. "What? We're heading back to Loserville people!"
Luca took a deep breath, muttered, "Silenzio Bruno." And ran off the branch, steering the glider towards the stage. When he was close to the ground he put his feet out and landed neatly in the middle.
"And the Bass score another point!" Chris exclaimed. The team cheered and congratulated Luca.
"See? Fear is only in the mind," Courtney said, triumphantly. Jaeden rolled his eyes.
Chris then dragged Eva and Ezekiel away and a screen appeared showing the two. Ezekiel was in the middle of a corn maze and he had to find his way out. Eva was in a room with thunder and lightning effects so real it was scary!
"Okay, only two minutes left until Sophia and Gwen's time is up. Cody, you're up!" Chris led the tech geek somewhere else in the woods and handed him instructions on how to diffuse the wires around the trash cans.
"Help me," Cody muttered as he began to read and strategize with logic. He didn't want to find out what would happen if it exploded.
"Right is always right, right is always right," Ezekiel kept muttering under his breath as he turned right corner after right. How would anyone be able to come rescue him if they couldn't find him?
If he was hopelessly lost then he would die here. All around him he could see nothing but corn, corn and more corn.
He started running again taking right turns until suddenly a corn ear fell and smacked him in the face. He jumped a foot in the air and huddled in a corner, shivering.
"I hate Chris, eh," he mumbled.
"She's nice. She's pretty," Courtney was trying to encourage Duncan. The rest of the team, including Eva, who had successfully faced her fear, sat on the steps, yelling encouragement.
"You've got this, Duncan!" Luca called. "Just close your eyes!"
Not a bad idea, Duncan thought. Courtney took his hand and gave him an encouraging smile which finally pushed him to do it.
He ran towards the standee and when he neared it he closed his eyes as Luca had suggested and hugged the standee until Chris declared it counted.
"Duncan, you did it!"
Courtney was suddenly hugging him and he stared in disbelief at the standee before muttering, "I did it!"
Gwen and Sophia finished their time and when the timer beeped it knocked Sophia out of her shock. She thrust the balloons away and got to work digging up her friend.
When Gwen came up to the surface again, she looked around at the chaos going on.
Cody had blown himself up and was walking around like a zombie made of trash, Justin was screaming and trying to rip the disgustingly real ugly mask off, Geoff was running from a cloud that chased him.
"Wow, I sure missed out a lot," Gwen said sarcastically. Sophia laughed a bit, but still looked scared.
Camilo was guided out of the woods as he finished his time. "That was horrible!" He said, going to stand next to Sophia.
"Need a hug? Cuz I could sure use one." She opened her arms and Camilo threw himself on her, squeezing her as if he would never let go again.
Heather watched this from the corner of her eye, and sniffed before looking away. Whatever.
Izzy spotted the campgrounds and said, "hang on, this is going to be a bumpy ride!" She landed, bouncing on the ground a couple of times before the plane skidded to a halt.
Owen and Izzy jumped out in relief.
"We did it!" She cheered.
"And you saved us!" Owen cheered.
They dropped to the ground and started to kiss it in appreciation.
Jaeden had failed. He had to choose over saving a toddler from falling off a cliff or a puppy and had started crying halfway through. An uncomfortable Chris made him forfeit and reassured him that they weren't in real danger. He had interns literally right underneath them keeping them up.
(Confessional Cam)
Camilo- Actually, I'd like to thank Chris and the producers for making me face my fear. It wasn't that bad, not that I'd do it more often. I love socializing!
Jaeden- /incoherently as he cries/ Chris is mean! I don't care what he says! He's evil!
Sophia- Those balloons and their colorfulness and their squeaky sounds were too much. At least I still passed but only because I was too scared to even move them away from me.
Luca- I did it! It actually was pretty fun! Jaeden's right! Danger is kinda fun!
Both girls had made it and were in front of the mirror, pulling their wigs off.
"Oh my God, Katie we did it!"
"Yay!"
They both hugged each other, squealing, as two more points were added for the Bass.
Ezekiel, pale and shaking burst out of the maze exit and fell to the ground, whimpering. Luca and Jaeden ran to him.
"Corn everywhere! Lost! So many times, I got lost!" The prairie boy stammered.
"It's okay, you made it!" Luca said, encouragingly.
Nearby everyone was gathered to see Tyler face off his fear. The Jock puffed up confidently, but hesitated, scared.
"I… dunno."
"You're gonna do it Jock boy!" Eva shouted.
"Yeah, your fear's stupid as hell!" Courtney snapped.
"Oh, you're one to talk about stupid fears, Courtney," Chris said, smirking. Courtney paled.
"Wh-what?"
Tyler still didn't move and looked back at his annoyed team. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Cody from the other team wave at him.
The Tech Geek mouthed something and he squinted until he recognized the name Lindsay. Then the Geek blew a kiss at him, mouthing Lindsay's name again.
Noah was staring at Cody like he was crazy.
Tyler smiled and jumped into the pen. Slowly ever, so slowly, he picked the chicken up and cradled it. He made sure not to look at the feathery creature, but it was calm and cute, he had to admit.
"Another point from Tyler!" Chris announced. As soon as he did, the Jock threw his arms up in the air as his team cheered. The chicken squawked as it fell to the ground.
Tyler ran, screaming, as it chased him, angrily.
"Huh, he actually stuck it out," Duncan said. "Not bad."
"But can Miss CIT here do it too?" Eva asked.
Courtney glared, but next thing she knew, she was on a high dive over a tub of disgusting green jelly.
And despite her teammates' encouraging words, she couldn't go through with it. As she got down, she didn't meet Tyler or Eva's eyes. Eva was actually smirking meanly, but Tyler being the nice guy he was actually looked sympathetic.
He was covered in scratches from the chicken as Geoff patted his back, congratulating him. Tyler leaned towards Geoff and whispered, "I'm still afraid of chickens, dude. I dunno how I did that."
"Maybe it was a moment of bravery," Geoff said, shrugging.
"It's okay," Duncan rubbed Courtney's back. "Not everyone is perfect. I almost didn't do mine and plus we won."
"I guess, but it's ironic seeing as I was yelling at everyone else," she mumbled, looking away.
"Yeah, well you were just helping them and like I said we still won!"
"Alright, the Killer Bass won!" Chris announced. "Gophers, I'll see you at the elimination tonight!"
"Well, we tried," Sophia shrugged.
Gwen looked annoyed. "Buried alive for nothing."
(Confessional Cam)
Courtney- I'm so embarrassed! I was weak and pathetic in front of my team! If we had lost… /she hangs her head, sadly/...then I would have deserved to go home.
Gwen- /growls/ It was all for nothing? Ahhh!
Tyler- I'm proud of myself! I did it! It's all thanks to Lindsay and Cody, but hopefully their team doesn't hear me say that! /he then nervously looks around/ I hope the chicken didn't stick around after I lost it.
Cody- /sighs/ If only I had a girl who could have given me that courage.
Noah- First Owen to Justin, now Cody to Tyler? Yuck. And no one better mention me or Cody!"
Izzy- /smirks/ Personally, I'm a huge fan of NoCo already.
Owen was sitting in the green jelly when he was beckoned over by Heather. She stood with Justin, Noah and Izzy outside the cabins.
"Okay, I don't know how Beth and Lindsay got voted out, but we need to get rid of the bigger alliance led by Sophia. We can convince Camilo to join our alliance. Only stronger players should make it to the merge!"
"Okay, who's getting the boot?" Izzy asked. After Heather said the name, the redhead smirked. "About damn time!"
"Okay, then," Justin shrugged before he turned to go into the cabin. "I'm gonna nap before the elimination."
"Whatever," Noah shrugged and left.
Only three people were left marshmallow-less. Leshawna, Justin and Cody. The two were confident Justin was gonna get it.
"The next marshmallow goes to Cody."
The Tech Geek smiled and got up to claim his marshmallow.
"And now the final one of the night goes to…"

"Justin."
The model strutted up and grabbed his marshmallow while Leshawna gaped in shock.
"What?!" Cody, Gwen, Sophia, and Camilo exclaimed. Chef came along and shoved the Sassy Girl to her boat, muttering, "we don't got time for this shit."
"Leshawna!" Gwen and Cody ran after her while Camilo and Sophia exchanged horrified looks. They had been caught. Heather was definitely on to them.
"Bye, Leshawna," Gwen sighed. Leshawna squeezed her friend in a hug.
"Goodbye, girlfriend."
"Bye, beautiful. I'll miss you."
"Can it, Cody," Gwen said as Leshawna laughed. To the Geek's surprise she pulled him into a hug too.
"You take care of yourself, short stuff. You, Gwen and the others, alright. And especially watch out for that Izzy girl," Leshawna said, looking annoyed now.
"Over Heather?" Gwen asked.
"Do you need me to warn you about that bitch?" Leshawna snorted and the two laughed.
"How is Sophia even friend's with Izzy?" Gwen asked.
Cody said, "it must be the hair." Gwen shoved him as he giggled.
Leshawna finally got on the boat when Chef threatened to leave her stranded. She waved until she couldn't see her friends anymore. Then she plopped down, feeling defeated.
(Voting Confessional)
Cody- Heather.
Gwen- Heather.
Heather- Bye, bye, Leshawna!
Izzy- Leshawna will finally leave and then Izzy can have Camilo all to herself! Although Heather's interaction with him worries Izzy.
Justin- Leshawna. Better her than me!
Leshawna- I wanna vote Izzy but we gotta vote together to make it easier so see ya Heather! You've been a pain in my ass even more so than Izzy!
Noah- /shrugs/ Leshawna. She's kinda hated me since I insulted her during dodgeball. And yet people are fine calling me names and act like I shouldn't have to care?
Owen- Sorry, Leshawna. You're funny and all, but Heather promised me cake if I listen to her.
Sophia- See ya, bitch!
Camilo-Sorry Heather, you're fun to tease and cute, but you gotta go.
Leshawna sat on her boat going wherever it would take her. Wherever the other losers were. She was still thinking about her elimination and goodbyes to her friends.
How come Heather hadn't been eliminated? Most likely it would have been a tie? Had someone betrayed them?
Suddenly, she heard the clicking of pincers that she had always feared since she was young and noticed spiders crawling from all over the boat towards her.
She screamed and Chef in the front cabin laughed, cruelly.
(Confessional Cam)
Heather- Had to make sure Leshawna got it and was gone. /she holds up a tape/ How's it feel to be outwitted, Camilo? Easier and simpler than shape-shifting, I'll bet.
Leshawna- 5
Heather- 5
One extra vote was slipped in for Leshawna.
I changed it so that Tyler actually passed. That interaction with him and Cody was meant as a joke, but also Cody passing on the message from Lindsay. But another new friendship will be happening between these boys.
I didn't want Leshawna gone. She's one of my faves, but it's all a part of the plot.
Now the Gophers are obviously split into two alliances, and they're all aware and who's on what side. Wonder what drama it'll bring.
