Chapter 8: Baking.
Toriel had some ingredients laid out for baking.
"Jane, would you like to help me out?" Toriel asked.
"Yes, Miss Toriel. Are you baking a cake?" Jane asked.
"Yes. I'll mix the ingredients, you crack the eggs." Toriel said.
Jane walked over and grabbed an egg. She walked over to the counter and lightly tapped it, but the egg didn't crack. She tried tapping it a little harder, this time getting the egg to crack. She did the same with the other eggs, handing them to Toriel, who mixed them in. Once she had the cake batter properly stirred, she let it bake while they tried to find a frosting.
"What do you think? Chocolate or vanilla?" Toriel asked.
"I don't know. I like them both. I usually pick, but how about you?" Jane said.
"Okay. Let's make it chocolate." Toriel said before she got to baking. In a few minutes, the cake and cupcakes were on the table along with presents.
"Thanks, Miss Toriel." Jane said.
"You're welcome, Jane. Happy Birthday." Toriel said as she hugged her.
