As the Ground-Types from Team Rocket slowly made their way underground, the path they traversed led them closer to the heart of the coastal village. Unbeknownst to them, Brock's Geodude stood in their way, ready to intercept them.
The Ground-Types could see light at the end of this area, believing that they were about to emerge in the village. But that was when Geodude encountered them.
Using Earthquake, Geodude intercepted them, sending powerful tremors through the ground. The oppossing Ground-Types felt the tremors before finding themselves enveloped in a white shockwave.
The force of Geodude's Earthquake sent fissures snaking through the tunnels, disrupting the steady advance of the Team Rocket Pokémon. Rocks and debris tumbled from the ceiling, adding to the chaos of the underground battleground.
Up at that very surface, the people of the village stayed silent, watching through the windows as Brock, Goh, Nessa and Bea looked underground, seeing the white energy from Earthquake erupt.
"Got 'em!" Brock pumped his fists, but his celebration was short-lived once he saw some of the Ground-Types erupt from below. Not only did some of them withstand the attack, but they could also find themselves up to the surface quicker. "Tch."
"Brock, look out!" Misty yelled, warning her fellow Pokemon Lord.
The Team Rocket's Pokemon immediately emerged from the ground and fired a combined attack towards Brock.
"It's fine!" Brock raised his hands in front of him. "Use Iron Defense, Geodude!"
Geodude immediately obeyed, using Iron Defense and shielding himself against the attack. The barrage of Ground-Type attacks rushed towards Geodude, who would not move an inch. That didn't mean he couldn't take any damage.
"Such fortitude!" Bea gasped when seeing Geodude taking all of these hits.
"You know, if you guys wanna prove that you can fight, then I'd suggest doing so." Brock was not having this. "This is my duty."
"Of course!" Bea would step forward, her fists clenched and her eyes burning with determination. "I'll show you the growing strength of the one who is under the guidance of the Star Champion! Machop! Appear!" From her Poke Ball, arriving to the scene, was her Machop.
Goh and Nessa stood by, their attention fixed on the battle that was unfolding before them. Their gazes flickered between the combatants, their nerves on edge as the tension in the air grew thick.
Machop appeared on the battlefield, standing firm as its eyes locked onto the enemy. Misty smiled, wanting in on the action as she stepped forward. "You said that they've been showing up here for the last 9 days, right? Then, let's make this the last one. Brock. You won't have to keep this up." With her Poke Ball out, releasing her another one of her Water-Type Pokemon. "Staryu, go!"
Her Staryu immediately emerged from the ball, its crystalline body glimmering in the sunlight. It floated before her, its pointed appendages pulsating with energy as it awaited her command. As the remaining Ground-Type Pokemon that did not meet with the Star Champion stood before the three of them, arriving here were the remaining grunts of these Pokemon, who would walk up with devious intentions.
"Well, look at this." One of the grunts spoke when seeing new faces. "It looks like we got some newcomers, eh?"
"That looks like another Pokemon Lord right next to him. Isn't that the one from Cerulean City?" One grunt questioned.
"Yeah. Looks like Brock here's knowing his limits." Another grunt remarked.
"I don't know who you think you are. But I'll tell you this much. You're going to regret interfering in Team Rocket's plans." A grunt threatened the three. "We're getting that substance no matter what."
"Not if we have anything to say about it." Brock stood tall, his voice tinged with conviction as he prepared to confront the invaders head-on. He would suddenly flex his muscles as an energy would start swelling up in him. Much like how Misty had, her Aura would surge throughout his body, Brock would do the same, syncing with his Geodude as it too, would glow.
The rocks in this area would start shaking in response to this swelling energy, almost as if they were reacting to Brock's power. His fists would glow bright orange, his skin would glow a light shade of purple and his muscles would expand, becoming bigger. "Geodude! We're going all out! Use Stone Edge and Earthquake!"
With a roar, the surrounding rocks would float and rise up. Before the grunts could do anything, a barrage of rocks flew towards the opposing Pokemon and grunts, hitting them all at once.
A barrage of rocks would bombard them with the intensity of a hailstorm. Each one striking with deadly precision, sending the ground-types scattering for cover as they struggled to weather the assault. Because they were Ground-Types, they could at least withstand some of the damage.
But this didn't stop Geodude's relentless attacks, as Brock was not letting up. "Now, Geodude! Finish this with Earthquake!"
With a resounding thud, Geodude brought its fists together, releasing an Earthquake that shook the entire village, the earth trembling beneath the force of the attack. As the devastating tremors rippled through the ground, the remaining Ground-Types lost their balance, some of them toppling to the ground.
Team Rocket growled with anger, their faces twisted into grimaces as their plans were being foiled by the Pokemon Lord. "Yeah, but you've probably used up most of your own energy in that attack! Get them, Golem!"
The opposing Pokemon that wasn't a Ground-Type, a Golem, would charge towards Geodude, its limbs crackling with energy as it closed the distance between them.
"Now is my chance. Machop! Get him with Karate Chop!" Bea commanded.
"Staryu, Water Gun!" Together, the two Pokemon launched their respective attacks with Machop leaping forward, its fist aglow with energy, while Staryu unleashed a stream of water from its center.
"Golem! Counter with Flamethrower!" The grunt shouted, wanting to turn the tide back in his favour.
A blast of fire erupted from Golem's mouth, enveloping the battlefield in a wall of searing flames. The intense heat washed over the area, forcing Machop and Staryu back. As the blaze died down, Golem remained standing, its rocky exterior charred but still intact.
Meanwhile, Geodude found itself on the receiving end of a flurry of attacks, its rocky exterior crumbling under the relentless onslaught. Its movements slowed, the effects of the earlier Earthquake catching up with it.
"Hah. Look at that. Brock's Pokemon can't take another hit." A grunt taunted Brock. "I'm sure your other Pokemon aren't any better either. Especially after that little display. What's wrong, Brock? Is the Pokemon Lord getting tired?"
Brock's face was set in a determined expression, his gaze focused on the battle before him. Since he's been defending this village for 9 days, back-to-back his Pokemon must've taken quite a toll. He's just been able to hold them off thus far, but now the question was whether or not he would be able to stop them here.
"Machop! Karate Chop!" With her voice filled with confidence, Bea was not going to let her partner down.
Machop surged forward, its fists raised and brimming with energy.
"Staryu, Water Gun!" Misty was quick to follow up.
Water rushed out from Staryu's core, engulfing the area in a torrential blast. The sheer force of the attack threw Golem off balance, its momentum disrupted by the powerful surge of water. As the torrent subsided, Machop delivered a devastating strike to Golem's gut, its fist glowing bright red.
The attack landed with a resounding thud, knocking the wind out of Golem as it stumbled back, its footing unsteady.
The Team Rocket grunt's face contorted with anger as he watched the battle unfold before him, his frustration mounting with each passing moment. His fingers twitched, itching to unleash his own Pokémon upon the unsuspecting defenders of Aurora Cove.
"Golem, use Explosion!"
Suddenly, Golem's body glowed a bright, crimson hue, a powerful aura radiating from it. In a blinding flash, the surrounding area was engulfed in a deafening blast, the shockwaves rippling through the air. As the dust settled, the results of the explosion were visible.
A crater was formed from the explosion as the people of this village cowered in fear. The Pokemon were knocked out with Staryu and Geodude barely conscious. Machop had fainted due to the explosion and the surrounding Ground-Type Pokemon were knocked out as well.
"Damn it! Two of them are still standing!" The Grunt groaned, hoping to take them all out with a single blow. His Golem was down, leaving it down to a small amount of Ground-Types left.
"M-My Machop..." Bea gasped as her Machop had fallen to Team Rocket. She couldn't showcase all of her might and prove herself yet, but this would have to do for now.
"Brock's Geodude and Staryu are still standing strong. Don't let them win!" Another grunt yelled, trying to rally their Pokemon.
"They're not going to." Brock muttered. "I won't lose to you! I'm the Pokemon Lord of Pewter City!" He bellowed.
"So what if you're a Pokemon Lord?! We can tell you're reaching your limit." The grunts laughed, looking down at Brock. "Your Pokemon's not doing too hot."
"I'm out of Pokemon..." Bea suddenly stepped up, clenching her fists. "But, that doesn't mean I'm defenceless. I was trained in the art of fighting alongside my Machop. If anything, I can still defend myself and everyone here. I can't just sit by and watch!"
"Huh?" The grunt raised his brow, not expecting her to be able to fight. "I don't know about that."
"You can't be serious! This is a battle of Pokemon, not a fight between humans." Misty retorted, trying to convince her otherwise.
"Better stand back before you get hurt, beautiful." One of the Grunts winked, his voice oozing with sarcasm. "I won't go easy on you. You'll be down faster than your Machop if you try anything."
"I've had to endure years of Volman's abuse, being his slave. I even had to silence myself, being used as a living doll. I've been holding back so much rage. You'll be the first to experience it."
Bea's words cut through the air, her voice heavy with emotion. The surrounding people watched in disbelief as Bea stepped forward, her eyes blazing with determination. Her fists were clenched, her body tensed as she prepared to confront the Team Rocket grunts head-on.
"Bea!" Nessa shouted, her eyes widening with horror. She wanted to stop her, but the look in her eyes said otherwise. There was a determination in them.
"Hm." Brock smiled, seeing how Bea had that drive in her. Earlier, he didn't want her to get involved at all since this is something Pokemon Lords do. However, she's proven that she could muster up the spirit to take on any opponent no matter what. "Alright then. Show me what you got."
"Tch. Fine. Don't cry when we beat you, then."
With a resounding thud, the two grunts released their Ground-Type Pokemon. These were the last Pokemon remaining as Brock's Geodude and Misty's Staryu were still standing.
"Rhydon, let's finish this!"
"Dugtrio, you're up!"
From their Poke Balls, the two Pokemon appeared, ready for battle. Their eyes locked onto their targets, their bodies bristling with energy. It was down to just 2 Pokemon per side.
Jessie, James and Meowth had returned to their ship in a rush, seeing how formidable Ash was on his lonesome Not wanting to risk losing here, especially on the 9th Day of their attack on this village, they would rely on their secret weapon. The Infinity Cannon. The other grunts on the ship were already prepping the weapon as it would be revealed via two doors opening up. From those doors, a giant cannon would emerge, aiming itself straight ahead. Its design was bulky yet sleek, the barrel lined with intricate markings.
The cannon was brimming with power, its presence dominating the deck of the ship. Jessie's eyes gleamed with anticipation as she eyed the weapon, a wicked smirk crossing her lips. She had high hopes for the device, confident in its abilities. Ash caught up to Team Rocket, spotting their ship up ahead. Not only that, he would soon see the weapon they had retreated to.
"Whoa! What is that thing?!"
"Oh, that's our secret weapon!" Jessie answered, her tone laced with a hint of menace. "The Infinity Cannon! It was supposed to be used on that Pokemon Lord here, but now it's perfect for someone like you, who's trying to get in the way of our plans!"
"This baby's loaded with Infinity Energy! The power to flows through the entire world and the Pokemon themselves! One blast of this is enough to level this whole village! And more!"
"It's as strong as a Hyper Beam, believe that!" Meowth chimed in, a devious glint in his eyes.
"Oh, man! There's no way I'm gonna let you guys do that!" Ash absolutely refused.
"Then, prepare to meet your maker! Fire this baby!" Jessie ordered.
With a mighty roar, the Infinity Cannon came to life, the energy within its core pulsating with immense power. Ash and Pikachu braced themselves, their eyes locked onto the weapon, their nerves on edge as the tension in the air grew thick. The surrounding trees rustled violently, a fierce wind whipping through the air.
A wave of pure, raw power emanated from the weapon, the energy crackling like electricity. Jessie, James, and Meowth watched with sadistic glee as the Infinity Cannon primed for its target, eager to witness the destruction.
"Hohohoh" Jessie laughed with a pompous attitude. "You've done nothing but slow us down, Star Champion. Now, you can see just how powerful Team Rocket is. We'll get our hands on the substance no matter what, and this island will be a memory."
"As if." Ash stood tall, having a grin appear on his face. "If you're gonna use that thing on me...then I'll just have to match it with something even stronger."
"...Come again?" Jessie and James blinked, wondering if they heard Ash right.
"Oh yeah. You're talking about Infinity Energy, right? I've got that in spades. So, bring it!" Ash would take the chance to flex his own power as his Aura would flare and his eyes would flash. That same power he showed off before against Volman's Pokemon would shine through, making Team Rocket's jaws drop.
"He's...He's not kidding." James stammered, his eyes wide with shock.
"This guy's insane!" Meowth squeaked, his voice trembling.
Ash's Aura would begin to swell, a bright glow emanating from him.
His surroundings seemed to come alive with his energy, the trees and rocks thrumming with his power. The very air itself crackled with the intensity of his might, the ground trembling beneath his feet. He raised his arm, pointing to the sky, as a surge of energy enveloped him.
Jessie was actually starting to fear the worst, turning to the others. "Isn't this thing ready?! Fire! Now!"
"F-Fire!"
"Now!"
A beam of light erupted from the Infinity Cannon, its destructive power ripping through the air. Ash and Pikachu braced themselves, their eyes locking onto the beam. They could feel the heat of the attack, its raw power reverberating through the air.
But just as the beam was about to hit Ash, he would use point directly at it, matching it with his own energy. The Aura would appear as a sparkle on his finger, and when it met with the beam, it would create a shockwave, sending it right back at the ship.
The resulting explosion was deafening, the air splitting with a thunderous boom. Jessie, James, and Meowth cried out in alarm, the shockwave slamming into them and throwing them off the ship. They tumbled through the air, the force of the blast leaving them reeling.
The Infinity Cannon was sent spiraling through the air, the energy within its core dissipating. As the dust settled, the remains of the cannon were scattered across the shoreline, its twisted frame barely recognizable. Jessie, James, and Meowth groaned, absolutely confused by what just happened. James landed flat on his face while Jessie was flat on her back, her hair messed up.
"What the heck happened?! Did that thing malfunction or something?!" Jessie screamed, her voice strained.
"That kind of power...Unless it's from a powerful Pokemon, there's no way a human could match it. That's impossible." James mumbled. "That means he really is the Star Champion. And if he's the real deal, then there's no way we could've stopped him."
"Well, there goes our chances of getting a promotion. That's the end of the line." Meowth groaned, lamenting his fate.
"As if!" Jessie immediately got back up, not wanting to accept defeat. "There's no way my promotion's about to be taken away from me just because some Hero of Legend decides to show up now of all times! You've got some nerve appearing on the 10th day of our attack!"
"Huh?" Ash blinked as Jessie pointed aggressively at him. "Well, I just showed up yesterday."
"Miss Jessie!" One of the grunts exclaimed, scurrying over to her. "The reflected blast ended up damaging parts of our ship. We need to leave now before it starts sinking!"
"Tch. This isn't over, Star Champion!" Jessie snarled, her gaze burning with unbridled fury. She turned her back on Ash, marching towards the damaged ship. "Tell the others to come back this instant! We're getting off this island! Let's go!"
"W-Wait! But what about the substance?!" James questioned, his eyes darting frantically between Jessie and Ash. "Shouldn't we get it first?!"
"We've got no choice! That cannon was supposed to wipe out that pesky Pokemon Lord and this village so we can finally get the substance for ourselves! Now that we've failed, there's no way we're gonna stick around! And I'm tired of having to go back and forth in these battles! We're heading home, now!"
Signalling the other Team Rocket Members, one of the grunts wound use a small device to alert the others on their ship. It travelled across the island, moving past the wildlife and straight to the village.
At the village, Bea was seen using martial arts on the grunts and their Pokemon, beating the ever living daylights out of them. Her moves were swift and precise, her kicks and punches sending the grunts and Pokemon flying. Her eyes blazed with intensity, her body glowing with a fiery passion. The grunts were certainly taken aback by her prowess, not expecting her to be so formidable.
Geodude and Staryu fought hard against the remaining two Pokemon. With each strike, their bodies trembled with exhaustion, the effects of the earlier battle catching up with them. The signal then reached the village, alerting the grunts in the area.
"Hey, look!" A grunt shouted, his eyes glued to the signal. "It's the signal from Jessie."
"A retreat!? But why?! We were this close!" Another grunt shouted.
"She wants us to come back to the ship now!" The first grunt shouted, looking at Brock and the others. "But what about the substance? And the Infinity Cannon?!"
"Who cares!? Let's go before it gets worse for us!"
"Right! Get to the ships now!"
With that, the Ground-Type Pokemon were returned back to their Poke Balls and the grunts ran back to their ships.
"Looks like Team Rocket's finally had enough." Brock sighed in relief, his body relaxing. The intense battle had worn him out, the exhaustion seeping into his bones.
"Yeah. Finally." Misty nodded, the tension draining from her body. The people of this village would come out of their hiding spots and see how Team Rocket had retreated. They were confused as to why this had happened but they were absolutely elated that Team Rocket had given up.
Bea stopped her onslaught, realizing that Team Rocket had retreated. "So, they gave up?"
"Yeah. Looks like it." Brock nodded, his voice tinged with relief.
"Ah! It had to have been Master's doing!" Bea automatically assumed that it was Ash's work and she was very much right. Who else could it be? Voices of happiness rang through the village, the people of Aurora Cove celebrating the departure of Team Rocket. Their voices rose in a joyous chorus, their faces illuminated with relief.
Nessa smiled, seeing that the Star Champion had once again brought happiness. That fated day that she believed the Star Champion would show up and save them had finally come. And already, two large examples of hope have shined throughout the world.
With the defeat of Team Rocket, the people of Aurora Cove celebrated their victory, their voices ringing with elation. The sound of laughter echoed through the village, the atmosphere filled with a palpable sense of relief. Brock's body sagged, the tension draining from his muscles.
He sighed, his eyes fluttering shut as his exhaustion washed over him. Despite their victory, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret. If only he had been able to defeat Team Rocket sooner, he wouldn't have had to rely on the Star Champion to come and save the day.
He gazed at the surrounding people, their faces aglow with gratitude. They looked at him with admiration, their voices rising in praise. He felt his heart sink, the weight of his failures bearing down upon him.
"I'm sorry," Brock muttered, his voice barely a whisper. "I should've been able to handle it on my own."
Misty placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, her eyes filled with concern. "Don't be so hard on yourself, Brock. You've done the best you could. Don't forget, this is what Pokemon Lords do. We know you were able to hold them off for nine days."
"And you don't have to worry about them coming back here too." Ash approached the three, giving a smile. "They've got their sights set on me. They won't come back to this island again."
"But what if they do. They might send another team for this island." Brock feared the worst. "They won't stop unless they get their hands on that substance."
"Then we'll improve ourselves." Just then, approaching Brock was one of the villagers. "Brock. We thank you for all that you've done for our village. To repay you, allow us to relieve you of defending Aurora Cove and for us to improve our own strength."
"Woah...Seriously?" Brock blinked, not expecting that.
"You and the other Pokemon Lord and even the Star Champion have kept the our home safe. Let us return the favour by protecting our island and improving our own strength. You have a whole lot of other cities and regions to protect."
"And besides, the Star Champion said they won't be back. He's not someone who would lie." The villager pointed out.
"Yeah. He's right." Ash nodded.
"Rest well, Pokemon Lord Brock." The villager bowed. "We are forever grateful to you."
"Thanks." Brock smiled, absolutely relieved. "Well...I guess it's time fo me to leave. Team Rocket won't stop here, that's for sure. This isn't the only place in the world with that substance. And I need to protect them."
"Then come along." Ash held his arm out, smiling at Brock.
"H-Huh? Wait. What?"
"Pretty soon, we're heading to another region. This time it's Kanto. That's where you're from too, right? We can help you get back there, no problem. Then, you can start defending other places. It's not like they're going to wait for you. Come on."
"Hm. Well, thanks. Star Champion." Brock would hold Ash's hand. "Guess Misty was right about you."
"Now, let's hurry and go. I'm tired!" Misty would stretch her arms out. "I could use another bath already."
"Already? You just finished one not too long ago." Nessa chuckled.
"Come on." Ash would lead Brock, Goh, and Nessa out of the village, leaving the people there to defend their own home.
"Come on." Ash would lead Brock, Goh, and Nessa out of the village, leaving the people there to defend their own home.
As the group made their way towards the dock, Brock couldn't help but feel a swell of pride building within his chest. The burden of responsibility that weighed him down had lifted, replaced with a sense of accomplishment. He glanced at Ash, a small smile gracing his lips.
He had witnessed the power of the Star Champion first-hand, and he was humbled by the sheer scale of the hero's strength. Brock had spent so long fighting against Team Rocket, his determination unwavering. But now, he felt as if his efforts were finally paying off.
As the group arrived at the docks, the sun was beginning to set, the sky painted with vibrant hues of orange and red. The ocean waves gently lapped at the shoreline, the gentle breeze whispering through the trees. Brock and the others were now at the dock, where they could see the large ship that once belonged to Volman and was now being used by the Star Champion.
Brock's own ship had been destroyed days ago by Team Rocket, leaving him stranded here. Remains of it were already seen floating across the sea. Thus, the only option left was this one.
They entered the ships, the girls immediately making a beeline for the bathouse while Goh and Ash would head to the bedrooms. Goh was especially tired, wanting to catch up on his sleep after everything that has happened.
"Okay. Let's set sail for Kanto. I'd say it'll take us about week or so to get there." Ash suspected, having a rough estimate. "Dragonite will keep an eye on things as always."
"So, are you gonna be using Volman's ship the entire time?"
"Nah, not really. I always prefer to go on foot. But using a ship's not so bad. Don't know if this one's gonna last though. I might get a new one when we reach Kanto. I'd love to try and fly one of those airships, but I'm not sure if they'd be good enough for that."
"Oh, trust me. You definitely don't want to try." Brock chuckled.
"I'll remember that." Ash chuckled before heading to the deck of the ship, where he would take in the view. The sky was now painted with streaks of pink and purple, the sun sinking below the horizon. The ocean stretched out before him, its surface shimmering with the dying rays of the sun.
He stood at the railing, gazing out over the water, his mind filled with thoughts. He could still feel the thrill of the battle with Team Rocket, the adrenaline coursing through his veins. He took a deep breath, the salty air filling his lungs, a sense of calm washing over him.
Nightfall had arrived, bringing the Moon to the night sky along with the stars that were invited by it.
"Star Champion." Approaching him was Nessa, now fully cleaned and dressed. She would stand beside him, her eyes fixed on the ocean. "It's getting quite late. Won't you rest? Surely, you're not going to keep an eye out the whole night."
"Nah. Dragonite can handle it. We just gotta stay awake for a bit to set sail. But, it's pretty easy." Ash would yawn a little, feeling the exhaustion starting to settle in.
"I see. I suppose you'd have more energy than all of us considering who you are. And not even once have you shown signs of fatigue, saving all of Miragea and Aurora Cove with such a short gap. You're truly amazing, Star Champion." Nessa remarked, her tone tinged with admiration.
"Heh. Thanks." Ash grinned, his smile beaming with
"Star Champion. Seeing how Bea managed to help defend Aurora Cove from Team Rocket, I myself would like to grow stronger. I still remember how I was defeated and captured by Volman's men, but seeing Bea's courage has inspired me to get stronger and help more. But I wonder...Will you teach me the same things that you taught Bea?"
"I guess I can. But maybe you can also teach yourself a few things. You got your Pokemon's support and that's all you'll need. Plus, you got the other Pokemon Lords and Masters helping you out. So, no need to worry."
"I understand. Then, I shall try my best." Nessa bowed her head, her face set in a determined expression. "I will see you tomorrow morning, Star Champion. Rest well."
"Night." Ash waved Nessa off, seeing her retreat back inside the ship. As he watched the waves lap against the ship, his thoughts drifted to his upcoming journey to Kanto.
News of the Star Champion's arrival began to spread, mainly starting from Miragea. The Pokemon known as Pelipper fly across the world, delivering the news to all those across the various regions. One by one, the people would begin to hear about this hero.
Many were curious, their imaginations running wild with the possibilities. Who was this mysterious figure and what did they want? Were they here to save them or did they have their own agenda? Some were sceptical, their doubt clouding their judgement.
However, despite the initial uncertainty, the people began to feel a glimmer of hope. A hero had emerged from the shadows, their presence a ray of light in the darkness. The Star Champion, a mysterious figure shrouded in mystery and intrigue, had brought a spark of hope to the world. Those who heard stories of him would begin to see his name in newspapers, spreading far and wide.
Across the land, people would gather, their voices raised in celebration. They were filled with anticipation, their hearts brimming with excitement.
This News had also reached a region by the name of Sinnoh. This was one of the few regions out there that was not a part of the Auravale Empire, being against it and refusing to be a part of it. This was a region filled with many natural beauties. From the snow-capped mountains of the north, the verdant forests of the south, and the crystalline lakes and rivers that flowed throughout the region, it was a place where nature reigned supreme.
And the capital of this region was a bustling city by the name of Jubilife City. A grand and titanic city that stretches as far as the eye can see, its towering spires and grand edifices reaching towards the heavens in a dazzling display of creation.
At the heart of Jubilife City lay a massive palace that was covered in platinum and gold. The structure was majestic, its imposing exterior befitting the grandeur of the kingdom. At the entrance, a pair of golden gates opened, revealing a spacious courtyard. A large fountain adorned the centre of the courtyard, its crystal clear waters sparkling in the sunlight.
Outside of the palace was a woman who was currently holding the newspaper dropped by the Pelipper, gazing at the contents in it. She had a long dark blue hair with yellow accessories on the side. Her eyes were as blue as they could be as she wore a short white dress and sandals, followed by golden vambraces on her arms and a golden neck ring. She was a rather busty woman, with her curves accentuated by her clothes.
This woman was known as Dawn, a Trainer living in this region and having a large reaction to the news before her. "The Star Champion. Who is this person?"
"Dawn! Hurry!" Passing by her were other Trainers of this Region as they were currently heading for the palace. The guards stood aside, allowing the people here to enter. "You're gonna miss Sovereign Cynthia's Announcement! It's a large one!"
"Ah, right, right! Coming!" Dawn would follow, entering the palace with the other Trainers.
The palace was a sprawling maze of opulent chambers and winding corridors, each decorated with intricate paintings and luxurious furniture. The hallways were lined with statues and portraits of past rulers, the legacy of the kingdom laid bare for all to see.
People by the dozens were gathered at the palace, here for something so important it required them all to be here. They walked through the palace, their footsteps echoing through the cavernous chamber. Their voices rose in a buzz of excitement, the tension thick in the air. The walls of this palace had paintings of
Dawn and the other Trainers were walking past the paintings as they were heading for the large throne room, the doors of the room were closed, only opening upon their arrival.
Within the throne room, the people of great status were gathered as many were seated. They all sat as music played for the arrival of the one they call a Pokemon Sovereign, Cynthia.
From behind a large curtain, a figure stepped out, her presence commanding attention. An absolutely beautiful woman with blonde hair. Her appearance was regal and dignified, befitting of her status. Her eyes were sharp, her gaze piercing. Her curvaceous body was clothed with white curtains that covered her well-endowed chest, her long sleeves covering her arms.
Her outfit was accentuated by a crown that sat upon her head, her golden jewelry gleaming in the light. A white pelvic curtain covered her wide hips, her legs adorned with white stockings and golden heels.
The people stood in respect, their faces aglow with admiration. Their voices rose in a thunderous cheer, the atmosphere charged with emotion. Her name was Cynthia, the Pokemon Sovereign and one of the highest ranked figures in the entire world.
"Greetings, people of Sinnoh. Thank you for gathering here today." Cynthia's voice carried a sense of authority and elegance.
"We are here to hear the words of Sovereign Cynthia." The people responded in unison, their voices harmonizing with her's.
"Indeed. As you all know, King Volman has been defeated and his empire was dismantled in just one day." Cynthia explained, causing the people to gasp. "The man responsible for his defeat has revealed himself as the Star Champion, the one prophesized to save our world. We have only heard stories of his existence, legends passed down from generations to generations. However, his presence is no longer a myth."
"Sovereign Cynthia. Do you believe in his existence?" One of the men asked, his curiosity piqued.
"The evidence is right here." Cynthia raised her arm, a glint of light appearing on her finger. With her own magnificent power, she managed to generate a light projection of Ash Ketchum. The Star Champion. "The Star Champion had arrived in the Kingdom of Miragea and was the one responsible for Volman's defeat. This is a great turnaround for us all."
"Will this mean that the Auravale Empire will cease their actions?"
"Not at all. If anything, they've become even more aggressive. Our constant conflict and defense from the Auravale Empire has been going on for years as they have shown no signs of stopping their advances on us. However, there is hope. If the Star Champion can save us from the wrath of King Volman, then surely, he can do the same for the rest of the world. With his existence, those allied with the Auravale Empire will certainly feel a wave of fear."
Hearing that brought some sense of relief to the people, knowing that they were not alone. Cynthia's words were inspiring, her conviction clear. She spoke with conviction, her voice filled with a fierce determination.
"So, what should we do now, Sovereign Cynthia?"
"No doubt with the Star Champion present in our world, the Auravale Empire will make their move and will seek to bring him down. It is imperative that we stay vigilant and prepare for the inevitable. I worry that a large storm of evil will rage over the world with their aggression and thirst to conquer growing by the second. I wish to speak with the Star Champion and I also wish to have all upstart trainers grow in strength as well."
Cynthia wanted them all to be ready for the inevitable, the coming storm. She needed them to be strong and united. To fight back against the forces that would threaten their way of life. She knew that they had to be prepared, her voice firm with conviction.
"The Auravale Empire may be large and powerful, but together, we can overcome any obstacle."
Cynthia's words resonated with the people, her voice echoing through the chamber. She was a symbol of hope, her presence filling them with courage and determination.
With her words ringing in their ears, the people cheered, their voices raised in unison. They were fired up, their spirits renewed with a new sense of purpose.
"To all Trainers in the world. Do not sit idly by and do not allow yourselves to become complacent. Continue training yourself and your Pokemon, for the road ahead will not be easy. However, with your dedication and determination, you can achieve anything. From this point on, I am hereby opening a new initiative to all aspiring trainers across the world. Not just Sinnoh. For the sake of the entire world and our shining future, let us join forces and work together. To this end, I have established the Pokemon League, a worldwide organization dedicated to furthering the bond between people and Pokemon. Through this League, we can strengthen the ties between regions and form an unbreakable alliance. This is my dream, and I hope that all of you will support it.
"Pokemon League..." Dawn repeated, feeling a new sense of motivation.
"Yes. The Pokemon League will offer opportunities for all Trainers to come together and hone their skills, in both battle and other aspects of life. The regions that are allied with us will join, but we must shield it's knowledge from the Auravale Empire and anyone working with them. You will set out to the regions we are allied with, and will travel to the different locations that have been marked on the map. Once there, you will compete in the Pokemon League tournaments and showcase your skills."
"What about the Star Champion? What if we run into him? Would we battle him?"
"Only the Star Champion will determine who shall face him in battle. The Legends speak of how the Star Champion can help others grow in strength. A battle with him is said to be a great experience. To prepare for the inevitable, that strength must be obtained."
The goal was clear. To prepare for the coming storm. The people of the world already wanted to live freely without the fear of the Auravale Empire looming over them.
The world was indeed shaken by the sudden appearance of the Star Champion. He had emerged from the shadows, bringing hope to those who had lost all. The people of the world were now abuzz with anticipation, their imaginations running wild.
Dawn couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement, the idea of travelling the world and growing stronger with her Pokemon was a dream come true. She was outside at Jubilife's gardens, currently next to her own Pokemon. With her was a Piplup, a Buneary, and a Pachirisu.
She couldn't help but think of the Star Champion, wondering what kind of person he was. His image appeared in her mind, his presence exuding an air of confidence.
"This is our chance!" Dawn said, pumping her fists. "I've been wanting to stop the Auravale Kingdom for the longest myself and now there's a golden opportunity! If we can all come together, surely we can beat the Auravale Kingdom back and bring peace back to the world!
Her Pokemon cheered with her, sharing her enthusiasm. They were eager to get started, their eyes shining with determination. Dawn had her dreams of travelling and becoming stronger as a trainer, but now, those dreams seemed closer than ever.
"Ah. Dawn." Suddenly, appearing here was none other than the Sovereign herself, Cynthia.
"Huh? Sovereign Cynthia?!" Dawn jolted up, standing at attention. "What are you doing here? Aren't you busy with your duties?"
"There's still much to do. However, I would like to personally invite you to participate in the Pokemon League. As a Trainer, I'm sure you're excited to go out there and travel, right?"
"M-Me?! Join the Pokemon League?!" Dawn was taken aback, not expecting Cynthia to single her out. "Are you sure, Sovereign Cynthia?"
"Indeed. Dawn. I would love to see you take the world by storm." Cynthia smiled. "I have seen your progress with your Pokemon, and I have no doubt that you are more than capable of handling the challenges ahead. I believe in you."
"Oh, wow..." Dawn was speechless, her face flushed. She felt a swell of pride bloom within her chest, her heart pounding with excitement. She was overcome with emotion, her mind racing with possibilities. "T-Thank you! Sovereign!"
"I always saw potential in you, Dawn. You were to soon be sold to the Auravale Empire until I stepped in." Cynthia explained. "And not just you, but all the other Trainers here."
"Yeah. I remember that day. When I was travelling with my friends and they came." Dawn remembered being attacked by Pirates who worked for the Auravale Empire vividly. It was also the day she made a vow.
Flashback.
It was in a town located on a small island not far from the main Sinnoh Continent, a Dungeon that was known as the Treeshroud Forest. Here, many Pokemon lurked. This area was currently in the midst of a conflict between the Auravale Pirates and the Sinnoh Navy. This island was a market for the pirates, selling illegal goods to the people. Even people.
This island was soon found by the Sinnoh Empire, forcing a naval battle. Even a battle on land took place which soon enveloped this Black Market. The forces of the Sinnoh Empire arrived to free the people enslaved here and crumbling this black market. Pokemon, Slaves and all.
Dawn was among one of those slaves who was threatened to be sold off until this event occurred. But unlike all those who fled for their freedom, she was currently being chased down. The man chasing her down was the one who aimed to buy her but was interrupted. However, he was not about to let her escape.
Dawn rushed as fast as she could, her feet pounding against the ground. Her lungs burned, her body screaming with exhaustion. Her eyes were wide with fear, her heart hammering in her chest. She had been separated from her friends, and was now on the run for her life.
She was cornered, having reached a dead end. The man would appear, his face twisted with anger. He snarled, lunging at her, his hands grasping for her. She cried out, her voice trembling with fear.
"Ooh, how could I let someone as delectable looking as you go?" He spoke with a repulsive tone.
"Stay away from me!" Dawn tried to push the man back, but his strength was overwhelming. She struggled, her body writhing in his grasp. The man grabbed, pinning Dawn against the wall.
"You're coming with me. Even if this island falls, I will not let you go." The man's grip tightened, his fingers digging into her skin. He pulled her towards him, his mouth curling into a cruel grin."Ooh such a nice body. You will look excellent with all the other statues in our possession. Or perhaps I'll just have you for myself."
Creeping up on Dawn was this man's servants, who all had ropes with them, here to capture Dawn. They were planning on leaving this island while they still had the chance, but the man's obsession was not about to let this girl go.
Dawn grit her teeth, her mind racing with thoughts. She had no way to defend herself, and was powerless against this man. She could hear the shouts of the battle raging on, her heart heavy with despair.
She could see the figures of the servants coming, the ropes in hand. There were around at least 40 of them. The man chuckled, his voice filled with a twisted delight.
"I hope you're ready, my dear. We're gonna have a lot of fun together." He grinned, his eyes gleaming with lust. "Turning you into a statue and having you all to myself. Ooh, just imagining it gives me chills."
The men approached, their faces twisted with malice. They laughed, their voices mocking and cruel. Dawn was frozen with fear, her eyes wide with horror. She couldn't move, her body paralyzed. The men laughed, their eyes filled with a sickening hunger. They were going to make her pay.
Just as Dawn thought her life was over, a light appeared, the men crying out in pain.
"What the?! W-What's going on?!"
A burst of light had erupted, enveloping the men in an explosion of power. They were knocked back, their bodies writhing in pain. The man gasped, his eyes wide with shock. Dawn was stunned, her heart racing. The light faded, revealing a large Pokemon with a Draconic Energy brimming from its body.
The one standing next to this Dragon Pokemon was none other than Sovereign Cynthia.
"You're not getting her. Or any other girl. That's not going to happen." Cynthia's eyes blazed with fury, her voice sharp and clear. "I'm putting a stop to this now."
"The Soveren-"
"Silence."
Sovereign Cynthia and her Pokemon were a force to be reckoned with, the man's servants being knocked back. They were completely outclassed and overwhelmed by her might, their bodies strewn across the ground.
"Stay back!" The man grabbed Dawn, holding her close. "Do you think I'd let something like this slip by me!? I'm not gonna let you ruin everything for me! You're not going to get me and I'm not gonna let this girl go! No way!"
"Release her." Cynthia spoke, her voice firm and commanding.
"N-Never!" He stuttered, intimidated by her voice. "I've captured so many beautiful girls and turned them into my personal statues! The screams they make when they're encased in stone, the fear they show when I turn them into works of art! Especially when I am free to touch and use them as I please! And I have no intention of letting you ruin it for me!" The man snarled, his grip tightening on Dawn.
"..." Cynthia continued to stare him down, her gaze intensifying.
"In fact...perhaps I should make you one of my own, Sovereign, Cynthia!" From his hand, he revealed a item that would emanate a sinister energy. The object itself was a necklace that transformed into an energy net of some sorts. "The things I'll do to you when you're turned into my personal statue, you have no idea. You will be my finest piece of work!"
However, his item would suddenly crumble, the man blinking in confusion. The evil energy that emanated from the item disappeared, and his grip loosened. A light was radiating from Cynthia's body and her eyes, causing his item to perish in front of his eyes.
"W-What?! What is this?! What did you do?!" He shrieked, his voice filled with panic. "H-How did you do that?!"
He did not receive an answer. Instead, he was suddenly knocked back, his body flung through the air. He screamed, his body smashing into the ground. He groaned, completely out cold from the mysterious energy.
Dawn was left shocked, her mind racing with thoughts. She couldn't believe what had just happened, her heart hammering in her chest. She gazed up, meeting Cynthia's eyes. Tears flew down Dawn's eyes, her emotions running high.
"S-Sovereign Cynthia!" Dawn ran to Cynthia, her arms wrapping around her. "Thank you! Thank you so much! I-I thought I was gonna die!"
"It's okay. You're safe now." Cynthia comforted her, her arms wrapping around her. "Everything is going to be alright."
Dawn was left to cry in Cynthia's embrace, her voice ringing out in a sob. She couldn't believe that she had been saved, her body trembling with relief.
"Now. Are you a Trainer, girl?"
"Y-Yes! I am! I-I was just starting on my own journey 5 days ago. And then I was-" She couldn't even finish her sentence. "I'm so happy you showed up, Sovereign Cynthia."
Being in her embrace, Cynthia felt something from Dawn. A rather welcoming energy that was crying out to her. One that reminded her of something. Even to the Sovereign, Dawn's energy was very much unique and familiar to her. The potential she sensed was astronomical and for the Sovereign to notice that was monumental.
"I..." Dawn started to speak. "I want to be stronger. Strong enough to fight back and free others like me. So...I won't have to live through that nightmare ever again. I want to protect everyone. Not just Sinnoh, but the world."
Cynthia's heart swelled with pride, her mind made up.
"I shall give you that strength." Cynthia smiled.
"Huh?"
"You have great potential within you, Dawn. I will train you, and we can take down the Auravale Empire together. As long as you are by my side, nothing will stand in our way. And you will not have to suffer from the cruelty of this world anymore."
"I-I would love to!" Dawn cried, her eyes shining with determination.
Cynthia would take Dawn's hands, her lips curled into a warm smile. It was on this day that Dawn's destiny was sealed, her path set in stone. And it was on this day that the bond between the two of them was forged, a friendship that would change the fate of the world.
Back to Present Time.
"I have to be stronger." Dawn muttered to herself. "This is my golden opportunity. To get back out there in the world and this time, I won't be afraid. I won't let anyone else suffer like me."
Her Pokemon nodded in agreement, their eyes sparkling with conviction.
"Together. We're gonna take the world by storm." Dawn smirked. "This is my chance. To not only free those captured by the Auravale Empire and become one of the greatest Trainers, but also to become stronger."
"That is wonderful to hear, Dawn. That energy I felt in you can bloom to its fullest because of that. Which is why, for you, I have a special request." Cynthia approached her.
"Special request?"
"Meet with the Star Champion and join his side. It is not certain that he will accept everyone, but I have faith that he will take you. He will not disappoint. He's not that kind of person. And you yourself, have something special."
"You sure? But isn't the Star Champion like the most important figure in the entire world?! What if he doesn't want me to join him?!"
"I have a good feeling that he will." Cynthia would turn around, her face set with determination. "I will have a ship ready for you. Your own personal Astra Vessel. For the Seas and the Sky."
"I-I get my own Astra Vessel!? Really!?"
"Yes. Now, come. Let us prepare. For a new journey awaits you. And the rest of the trainers."
"Right!"
Dawn would follow Cynthia, her heart filled with excitement. She was finally getting her chance to set out on her own, to explore the world and grow stronger. This was the start of a new adventure, the first step towards a brighter future.
