The water carrying him down right underneath the falling woman he slammed down on the floor hard as he threw up every bit of water he could before forming a bubble floating her down.
Subsequently catching the other 2 unintentionally.
Trying his best to ignore the hundreds of stunned eyes he floated it down before popping it catching her dropping the others.
About to check her over he jumped hearing the scream of rage. " OZAI! YOU TRAITOROUS UNGRATEFUL CUR!"
His tunnel vision fading Naruto looked towards the voice before the water he commanded caught onto his instincts first immediately propelling him away as his mind finally caught up.
It was the fire lord.
"Wait till I get a hold of you boy! You'll regret ever being born!" Azulon said surprisingly towards Ozai not Naruto.
Naruto certainly did not know that however.
'Oh Shit! Oh Shit! Oh Shit!' He thought taking control boosting out of the area over the massive walls water dripping over the stunned spectators.
Making a straight line towards the very very far away port Naruto flinched when a massive blast of focused fire nearly scorched exploding on the ground near him kicking up dust.
"You meddlesome brat! I'll kill you. I'LL KILL YOU! "
Glancing back continuing his retreat he saw a man with flames on his feet glaring at him in pure unadulterated rage flames licking his mouth in response to the utter anger consuming him.
Hiccupping knowing it was Ozai Naruto quickly separated some water turning them into a massive amount of needles sending them all towards him.
Blasting fire towards them destroying the tiny ice constructs Ozai still had to maneuver away the number far to much for him as he glared at the retreating child.
Quickly letting the water spout carry him and his mom he changed it into a wave of water standing on top as it covered more ground.
'What is that!' Naruto thought as he saw a bright light shading on him as looked back with wide eyes.
Just for him to see a massive fire ball of epic proportions, lighting the gathering where he was before as it exploded in the sky in a brilliant crimson flame dominating the azure sky.
'Ah man that's sooo cool.' Naruto thought tiredly realizing anyone who could do that was a real threat.
Ducking his head in panic at hearing the island wide sirens that followed he immediately formed his waterspout again pushing out of the way of the fire blast that destroyed a house.
Ozai slamming down onto the house immediately pursued dodgely hoping taking these 2 heads would revert his hasty mistake.
How was he to know the boy would save his father from certain death?!
Drawing more water Naruto dropped it to the floor counting to 10 before raising it into a massive pillar of ice as the prince evaded it already seeing it coming.
"You fucking brat! Years upon years of planning wasted ...becuase of you!" Ozai said bellowing stoping for a second drawing lightning firing it directly towards him.
"Just...Die!"
Hearing the crackling barely recognizing it as lightning Naruto used all the water he accumulated forming a wall of ice behind him as it exploded sending him into a house as he adjusted to protect his mother.
Quickly shaking away the dizziness he ran foward in any direction trying to get away.
It was impossible to stay here. The only thing that waited them here was death!
Jumping onto a wall he kicked off as he sensed the immense heat rapidly approaching as Ozai spat fire towards him.
Pushing his body to the limits he begun drawing water again making a makeshift disk of ice sending it foward destroying the tank blocking his way.
'Where do I go?! Where do I go?!' He thought looking around before channeling chi as a massive pillar of wood shot up before crumbling sending him away from the prince as he soared into the sky.
Glancing around in panic trying to ignore the encircling soldiers and tanks, he saw a opportunity.
"If thats what I think it is then its our ticket out!" Naruto said breathing out conjuring more water as they plummeted.
Encasing them both in a bubble he directed it to the building using high powered blasts of water multiple times to evade the fireballs launching into the sky.
'They're destroying their own homes?! I guess it doesn't matter for the richest nation!' He thought floating down with the bubble as he bent the water fowards freezing it.
The giant ice pillar destroyed the walls of the prison as Naruto quickly popped the bubble climbing in and quickly running inside.
Looking around he saw a guy who looked like he was about to shit himself dressed in prisoner robes.
Naruto knowing this could be a crazy criminal wasted no more time as he slammed him to the wall freezing him there leaving only his head.
"What kind of prison is this! And what are you in for!" He said glaring at him not really angry just deeply agitated.
Stamering out the man told him this was a prison for war criminals. The main land being the only place they could go without risk of being freed by their fellow country men.
Contorting his face Naruto quickly tried to think about the consequences knowing he could be freeing some crazies but...
Freezing the cell bars he punched it foward launching the guards who just arrived along with it. Stepping out he opened his mouth as massive amounts of mist poured out targetting the stunned guards freezing them in their tracks.
Looking towards the entrances he froze them before separating some water from what he had sending it inside the lock holes of the other cells.
Forming it into the prison key using ice he opened the cells before shouting.
"I don't have much time to explain but if you want to live come with me!" He said towards the wide eye prisoners hoping he could find someone who could operate a boat and get him away from here.
Instead all he got was more than half running out hoping to get lucky and escape.
Blinking Naruto thought 'Huh should have seen that coming.'
"Lad what are you doing?! A stunt like this in the fire captial?! Are you crazy?" A grizzled looking man said in disbelief.
"Listen I need someone who can operate a fire nation boat. If you can help me I'll try my best to get us out of here!" He said honestly.
He could not possibly bend all the way to another land. It was simply impossible. For a number of reasons.
The prisoners who stayed looked at him and the woman he was carrying before everyone ducked feeling the prison be bombarded.
'What the fuck?!' They all thought.
And why wouldn't they be suprised? Why would the fire nation attack their own prison it made no sense.
"Listen kid you may be a good bender but-" Another started nervous at the sound.
He stopped however seeing the fire nation soldiers who barged in having been able to destroy the wall immediately get pulled and thrown by a massive whip of water that crawled back out defending the prison.
"Huh?" He said seeing more water come into the prison in deep confusion as it filled the floors quickly raising up to the second level.
Looking at the child in confused terror wondering if he was about to drown them he saw him concentrating deeply brows furrowed .
Naruto panted for a second before thinking ' Sorry your opinion doesn't matter anymore. Atleast one of you should be able to right?!'
Taking control of all the water he immediately sent it up to the ceiling blowing it completely off before making a massive tentacle of epic proportions gripping every single remaing prisoner.
Screaming in terror as they were kidnapped the prisoners eyes bulged at seeing the pouring rain pelting down like rocks the clouds a dark ominous color
Every last one could only look up at the unnatural sight.
Naruto feeling the steady drain on his chi as he pulled every cloud in the vicinity to form this phenomenon immediately formed a octopus riding on top as it slapped away the fireballs from the tanks catching some before sending them back with extreme accuracy.
Sweeping everything in its vicinity the octopus got bigger and bigger as the rain fell as it steadily reached a titan like size.
Holding his mom as they made way to the port Naruto looked down at the two men flying upwards towards the top of his makeshift construction.
Sweeping a hand upwards he shot out massive spears of ice, intent on piercing them.
Seeing both the fire lord and his son move out of the way slowing down Naruto predicted it sending the spears towards the speedy tanks impeding their paths as they crashed into them pilling up on each other.
Seeing the rain light up Naruto knew there were no more clouds he could draw on.
'It was enough however! ' He thought as he closed his eyes taking a deep breath before he let a tentacle grip everyone as it threw them far way towards the port .
Glancing back, he saw the makeshift animal begin a assault on the fire nation army without restraint no longer needing to protect anything as it was ripping them apart.
'Are those horns and arms?' He thought looking at it in confusion before turning his attention foward.
Drowning out the screams finally getting to a body of water Naruto pulled the water up cushioning their fall as he threw them up again landing onto a ship.
"We don't have much time quickly!" He said seeing the fire in sky a bit of ways away.
The prisoners looked at him in terror before doing so hoping the child wouldn't kill them.
Sitting down taking deep gulps of air Naruto felt his heart bursting at the exertion never having bent so much water in his life .
Afterall he had been living in secrecy the entire time when would he have time to do so?
Not only that his mother was more focused on precision than raw power so...
Hopefully it would change when he reached the Northen water tribe.
Glancing at the ships beside him Naruto got up stomping as they tipped over by the small ice pillars.
'I need to conserve more energy!' Naruto thought, frowing at how weak he felt, knowing he wasted too much during the pursuit.
He was panicked of course and still was but it was still the truth he wasted a lot.
Glancing around feeling the boat move he looked up seeing a prisoner approach him.
"Where do you wish to go?" The man said looking at him in a bit of apprehension.
Naruto looking down not knowing said "Northen water tribe?
Blinking in shock the prisoner said "That's too far and we'll never make it on this ship alone."
Scratching his head Naruto sighed saying" Earth kingdom? "
"We'll be attacked on sight beacuase of this ship. "
"Fire nation colony?"
"The fire nation will have a brigade waiting us!"
Naruto eyes twitched as he was shot down every time before he quickly looked back seing a massive amount of ships try to follow them as the water contruct he made barely kept them back.
Taking a deep breath Naruto turned their way as he begun finally starting to bend like a real water bender.
"Push and Pull. Push and Pull. Push and Pull." Naruto chanted as he went through the motions steadily bringing the water from their shores far away effectively stopping the entire fleet.
Watching as they sunk, or rather dropped to the bottom Naruto closed his eyes as he released his hold knowing exactly what would happen right after as the huge wave covered the ships nearly getting in land as it temporarily submerged some of the island.
Dropping covered in sweat Naruto glanced at his mother in confusion and concern.
'Mom what on earth did you try to do or rather why?'
Healing her for a bit hoping she woke up soon, he looked up hearing something as he saw the leaving fire nation mainland.
Looking deeply trying to see what it was his eyes widened when it got closer.
'What?!' He thought jumping to his feet in a panic as he pulled up water from the ocean to block the humongous blast.
"Shit!" He said feeling the impact and seeing it burn through the water still coming as he stomped down bringing up several thick walls of ice successfully slowing it down.
"What the hell was that?!" He said puffing looking at the now dissappearing fire nation in confusion seeing no more ships speeding this way.
That thing was so fast and powerful they nearly just got sunked if he didn't see it in time. They had something like that there? Was it a machine?
Breathing out wiping his sweat Naruto picked up his mom as he laid her down properly on his thighs keeping a tired stern eye out knowing a massive portion of the fire nation's power came from the navy.
He also kept a his eye on the criminals making sure they got no ideas.
'I doubt well will get through without atleast seeing a passing ship. However I should be prepared for their full might.' He thought trying to stay in place and rest.
Glancing at the prisoners he saw them flinch as they quickly bowed in fear and respect shaking after seeing the waterbending feat the irrational fear of the unknown getting to them.
Each one fought alongside benders and they very much knew this wasn't normal.
Naruto only sighed not having the energy to care as he looked down.
'The fire nation must be pretty arrogant. Probably never thought anyone could invade like that. That'd explain the sloppy response.' He though smilling.
Atleast there was some light in the situation.
Of course he would be slapping himself when he realised that he saved the fire lord.
But until then? He was happy to take what he got.
Azulon cocked his hand back and slapped Ozai silly humiliating him infront of his family.
Ozai kneeled saying nothing knowing anything he said would set him off even further.
This was a incident of his own making afterall.
" I truly do not understand. I gave you everything. A wife with powerful genes, the best tutors, any amount of money you could ask for..." Azulon said trailing off pacing the fire in the room reaching the ceiling displaying his rage.
The child and the assailant had long escaped and both him and his 'son' had to work together to take on the spirit the child summoned before it destroyed the entire island.
Ozai sported a massive gash across his face and a hand broken in proof of their efforts.
The child was even able to conquer their combined power... however it wasn't time to talk about the child of spirits.
"Everything! I gave you everything! And this is how you treat me! A knife to the back as soon as you had a chance?!" He said feeling his chest as he slowed in pain still feeling the after effects of the shock from the lightning. His heart aching not emotionally but physically.
Ozai said nothing nearly shaking in shame seeing his family look upon him as he looked down.
'DAMMIT DAMMMIT DAMMIT' He thought shaking in rage nearly foaming as he remembered the reason.
Azulon immediately sensing it spun around striking him quickly.
"Agh!" Ozai said as he rolled on the ground clucthing his face after taking the blast full force.
"You dare blame that child for your current situation?! You don't even acknowledge your wrong doing! You still cling to these petty excuses?! Truly a waste of RESOURCES!" Azulon bellowed in anger just waiting for something to jump on to release it!
"No father! I was just thinking about how this will effect our-" He tried saying after putting out the fire feeling his face burn but he was stopped when a boot slammed on his head.
"More and more lies when will they end..." Azulon said glaring down at him like scum on the bottom of his boot.
The family watching were shaken badly never having seen the all powerful Ozai brought so low or Azulon made so angry.
Ursa would usually be happy to see such a sight but she could only shake in fear hoping her role in toppling him wouldn't be discovered.
Of course she had no need to worry. Ozai wasn't a fool. If he spoke of the poison plot he knew he would die with certainty.
Looking to the side in suprise feeling a hand on hers Ursa eyes bulged in shock seeing Azula hold her hands.
Nearly ripping it out from sheer shock her instincts barely kept her in check telling her she would be making a horrid mistake.
'What on earth is with this child? She has already been acting weirdly from earlier now this? Is it beacuase she's seeing her father like this? I-is she scared perhaps? ' Ursa thought in confusion as she decided to hold her hand closing it.
Glancing at the smile that lit her face Ursa was at a complete and utter loss.
Zuko however wasn't paying attention watching with wide eyes wondering why he felt so satisfied for a minute as he touched the side of his face.
He shouldn't feel good that his dad was getting beaten right?
'Weird.'
Azulon looked down at his son as he thought on what to do.
He couldn't execute him for many reasons. One being no matter how shitty he was still his son. And another being many of the citizens saw him battling the spirit alongside him. He knew what such a sight would do for simple minded peasents.
That wasn't the worst part of this situation.
The worst part was this was a attack on the heart of the fire nation! The supposedly most protected part!
He had no designs to think that this could be contained when Ozai was so damaged, he was so injured and he lost a massive amount of soldiers along with ships.
Not even talking about the water that now surged up covering their ports!
Their enemies would be getting ideas. The untouchable fire nation would seem alot more vulnerable and that was the truth!
'In my reign the first attack on the captial happened! And by a child! For shame!' he thought in anger.
Any public infighting would not only bolster their enemy thoughts but also bring the army morale down even lower!
He had to recall most forces that occupied the kindoms they invaded to quickly enhance their defences!
They were that weak right now.
As he thought on a punishment he glanced at the reason he was still alive.
"Come here child. My dear grandchild Azula." He said smilling as he felt the anger radiate from Ozai.
Azula smiled shakily. To be honest she didn't actually know her father was trying to kill Grandfather with that strike. She had just thought he had decided that killing the assassin before they killed them all was worth losing grandfather.
So she with her new ambition decided saving her grandfather would put her a couple steps ahead .
And now she knew that no. That most certainly was not the plan. Not at all.
'Dad is going to kill me.' She thought with certainty knowing she was the only reason his plan failed.
Watching her shake Azulon eyes turned to Ozai with hate.
"See what you did to your own daughter? This kind child saved my life and should be rewarded and yet is to afraid to step up because of you!"
Ozai again said nothing though Azula could tell the barely restrained rage he kept under control.
Turning to Azula with pity he said " Azula huh? A good name. No need to fear him while I still breath. No kid of mine will be taking my life. Now come!"
Azula walking foward shakily tried bowing before being stopped.
"No need. Not now. You saved my life girl and its obvious you know nothing about your fathers plans. That makes you trustworthy. Tell me what do you wish?" He said gently testing her without her knowledge.
Azula breathing in thought about it slowly weighing the pros and cons.
'This is my chance! I can become fire lord!' She thought about to open her mouth before pausing.
'No! I remember what happened to dad when he asked. I can't let it be known I want it!'
She thought looking around furtively.
'That's it!' She thought looking at the now pale Zuko and Ursa who caught her glance.
'Agni no.' Ursa thought seeing the demonic smile on the child's face.
Zuko was frozen stiff when he remebered what she told him grandfather said.
Azula however didn't care about their faces as she thought ' If I know grand father well enough then.'
Bowing shakily faking her tone she said sadly "Grandfather I have a audacious request I hope that you may listen to."
Looking at her sad face in confusion he nodded.' Hopefully it isn't something for Ozai.'
"This one had disobeyed a direct order and stayed to overheard your conversation with father once. The one about Zuko." She started nervously. Truly this time, after all this was a risky play confessing about this.
Azulon eye brow raising didn't scold her yet waiting for her to finish.
Seeing the gesture to continue Azula said" I-I...I wish for you to overturn your decision to kill my brother grandfather!"
You could hear a pin drop in the silence. The stunning sentence from Azula shocking everyone without exception.
Most certainly Zuko and Ursa themselves who thought they knew the little girl.
'What on earth?' Ursa thought a hand on her mouth shaking looking towards Azula and Azulon.
Azulon himself was suprised and delighted. After having a faulty child it was a delight to see said child could still produce good fruit.
Laughing out loud bringing the girl in for a hug pushing her away he looked at her in a pleasing manner.
"Foolish child do you think I would have a killed your brother just becuase your father is a fool? Then I would have to kill you and every other child to compensate such a thing." He said in amusement at the thought of it.
" What a pleasing child" He said looking at her blush of embarrassment.
"Come here boy." He said towards a shaky Zuko pushed by a ecstatic Ursa.
Putting his hand on both shoulders he said "You will not pay for the sins of your father infact after he is disinherited you will still have a claim to the throne." He said extra slowly making sure to humilate Ozai as he took in the horror dawning on the children faces.
'What?!' Ozai thought as he passed out the pain of his broken arm and honor doing him in.
'Well didn't expect that.' Azula thought glancing towards her passed out father in apprehension.
No matter how pathetic he looked now she knew it would not always be the case.
Well atleast the plan worked that was all that mattered .
'Was this a failure or?' She thought weighing gaining her mother and grandfather's approval in one swoop to losing her disgraced father's.
'This should be ok? Right? Naruto?' She thought with a smile.
'It's a bit unconventional but.. you did beat my father in a way~.'
"Now all of you leave I'll have the guards ship this trash off to the front lines. Hopefully he can make sure we dont lose everything we gained during the years." He said glancing at Ozai.
Watching them leave he could only close his eyes as he thought ' Iroh you can not be defeated by a child! He should be weakened enough for you to have easy pickings! Bring him to me!'
Iroh was their only hope. If the child left their waters they would not have the man power to pursue him.
'And if he grows? It will be the end of the fire nation as we know it!'
Getting up he signalled a guard to call all the army higher ups.
They needed to get prepared for the consequences of this action.
No doubt this would be the start of a new era.
And what a start it was.
Norak glanced at the sleeping child who was snoring cutely.
If you looked at it you would think it rather cute until you saw the bubble he and his mother were incased in , no doubt not trusting any of them.
Of course not a single person glanced at the boy's mother after what happened to the last person that did.
They had already changed ships a couple of times catching stragglers and the child had decided to head to the northpole.
He had been met with no arguments everyone on board already devolping a tiny bit of fanatical feelings towards him.
Norak also had as well but he had another reason to not say anything. That was him and a couple of others also came from the Northen water tribe.
They had left feeling dissatisfied with the passiveness the tribe adopted in regards to the fire nation.
So banding up they had started hitting fire nation outpost destroying them until they reached the Ba Sing Se unfortunately meeting the Dragon of The West.
And so came the end to their little attempt to shake status quo.
"Kossak? Am I dreaming?" He said towards his right hand as he came up to him glancing at the child.
"Ow." He said rubbing his hand after being pinched.
"Seems you aren't. " Kossak said shurgging.
"So. What are we going to do about him?" Kossak asked gesturing.
Norrak said nothing for a moment glancing at the earth nation soldiers for a bit.
"Well we cant let them take him. A water bender should be with his people. " He said though it came out more confused when he remembered the child looked nothing like them.
"True enough however I mean the child doesn't trust us what will we do about that? For Tui sakes the boy somehow is bending in his sleep to guard against us?! Isn't it a bit to far?!" He said a bit hurt at the blatant mistrust.
Not only that he felt a bit useless after seeing the child basically rescue them all himself, he had been thinking he could atleast protect him while asleep but low and behold!
Norak glanced at the agitated man and said nothing. Clearly he was running on instinct as they demanded him to protect the weak.
'However that is clearly no weak child. ' He though standing up stretching however him along with everyone else flinched hearing the bubble pop as the child stood.
Everyone on board were hyper sensitive to him and immediately reacted quickly standing up.
Norak looking at him followed his line of sight not seeing anything.
Glancing back he saw the child glaring there still.
It was only 10 minutes later his heart stopped at what he was seeing.
Courage fleeing he looked up to the armada of at least 200 ships blocking out the sea completely cutting off any hints of escape.
"Keep going full steam ahead!" He heard the child say as they looked upon the fire balls blotting out the sky.
Sitting down losing control of his legs he could only watch as a giant net made of water caught each fireball sending them right back sinking multiple ships.
Glancing towards the child standing firm he got up shakily watching knowing this would decide if they lived or died today.
Their was not a second round of fire balls as the ships parted taking off encircling them as instead streams of fire were launched.
Seeing the child stomping he observed a massive iceberg shoot up completely and utterly decimating one side the frozen ships still visible.
The child swaying he saw a massive amount of fire shoot directly at them as a whip of water came negating it.
Watching the child he saw him sit sweating as begun weaving his hands into circular motions.
Looking around he took a deep breath when he saw the water far away moving in a irregular pattern akin to a tornado.
" No. Whirlpools?" He said aloud seeing all of them gain traction as even the ice broke under its power ripping the ships from its grasp.
The ships were firing desperately now however they were always stopped by either each other or a wall of water.
Looking up mind blank at the whirlpools fusing now forming a catastrophic water tornado his heart beating in deep and utter fear he looked at it as it slowly went away carrying every single ship with it.
He could even see some soldiers who were ripped of the top deck swirling in the mess no doubt about to meet a bad end.
There was no more noise now that they left no more screams but... why was it still so loud?
"Ah its my heart." He said feeling his chest trying his best to calm down failing when he glanced at the tornado again feeling how fragile he really was compared to the calamity as his body shook in terror.
Looking around he saw the others pale faced staring at the child or rather the person holding him who was looking backwards deeply impressed.
Or to be more specific deeply satisfied.
"That's my boy." Hama said caressing his head gently.
Truly a little anomaly she had picked up. There wasn't a spark of fear in her eyes either. Afterall she raised this child his entire life. Even at her lowest she hadn't needed to fear him.
Glancing up she saw earth nation ships passing by as everyone looked at the tornado that was still visible the clouds bending to its power in deep reverence nearly dropping to their feats in either fear or... well just fear.
'What on earth are tourist ships doing here' She thought in confusion.
Flexing her hand Hama felt no pain as she smiled thinking 'He has gotten more proficient at healing as well.'
"Don't worry baby have a nice long sleep. Mother will take care of everything else."
