Blaze1992: It went from fluffy to dark quick there in the end.

Re: Indeed it did.

Felipe1402XZA: okey, i don't expect to Weiss be relationed with Arthur.
I really don't expected a scene of responsabily and Ruby can't make it, is sad she have to wake up for this.

Re: Well, it is a little convoluted~
As for Ruby, this was bound to happen since in my version of RWBY, any "nuance" is introduced a lot earlier than Canon.

LoamyCoffee: I wouldn't say important Jaune, at least not to this version.

Re: Yeah, I had fun with the "stick" joke too~ Haven't read Magu-Chan: God of Destruction, it was more of a general "visual" gag, most-directly inspired by Daily Life with a Monster Girl.
It was fun adding to Weiss' family, and all the "feels" that came with it~
As for Ruby… yeah, she needs to do a little growing-up too, and what better time than when Jack is letting her shoulder more responsibility in his stead. She wants to take on more responsibility, well, that comes standard with 10ccs of something we call "reality" (check).

*NEW WORLD*

"Ruby. Rubyyyy, are you okay?" Yang asked worriedly the following morning.

"Go awayyyy…" Ruby groaned dejectedly, huddled up in her covers like a caterpillar atop her bunk.

"Oof, that reality check hit her harder than I thought," Jack winced.

"Well, how'd you get over your critics?" she questioned.

"Thick skin."

" . . . Literally or metaphorically?"

"Yang," Blake cut in. "I think what's best for her right now is to give her some space."

"But-"

"Yang!" she said insistingly. "She was going to be criticized for her work eventually. Best it happen now, while she's in school, then having a breakdown out in the Frontier."

"Harsh, but true, I'm afraid," Weiss added when Yang sent her partner a betrayed look. "If this were in Atlas, the damage would've been much worse."

"So… we just wait for this to 'blow over', then?" Yang asked, turning away from her sister before facing Jack, hoping he had some sort of wisdom to share.

"That's all we can do for her. This, this is her battle to fight. She'll either 'rise above', or wash out, but at the end of the day it'll be her decision. Her choice," Jack answered in a serious tone that made Yang wilt a little; especially how he emphasized the word 'choice'. "Come on, let's go grab some breakfast, give her some space."

"Yeah… Yeah, okay," the blond shrugged, she and the others tying their shoelaces before heading out.

*NEW WORLD*

Team RWBBY stepping out of their dorm a couple minutes later, were surprised when a familiar shock of white hair manifested before them, a shock of familiarly-blond hair in attendance.

"Arthur? . . . Dad?!" Yang gawped.

"Hey there, sweetie," Taiyang greeted with a wave.

"What're you guys doing here?"

"We heard about what happened to Ruby," Taiyang said shooting Jack an appreciative nod. "Though I didn't know Arthur would be coming along for the ride…"

"Taiyang, don't make this a race thing," Jack said causing the man to sputter. "I'm glad you could come on such short notice," he said turning Arthur's way.

"Hey, after that way that asshole raked her over the coals on the news, she needs what I'm packing."

"What you're 'packing' had better be what's in that box…" Taiyang said warningly.

"Hey, Faunus can keep their urges in check," the younger Faunus said sounding offended. "Don't talk to me about hormones, Mr. Banged-Both-His-Female-Teammates-One-After-The-Other."

"Ah, geez, I'm never going to hear the end of that, am I?" the man groaned.

"Not while I'm still around~" Jack grinned, Taiyang shooting him a look before sighing.

"You must be Ruby's partner," he hummed turning Weiss' way.

"That's right," Weiss nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir."

"So… How much trouble has she been causing you?"

"W-Whatever do you mean?"

"Come on, Ms. Schnee, I'm her dad. I know how much of a troublemaker she can be. You can be honest with me; I will not, get offended. There isn't anything those girls can throw at me, that I'm not already prepared for."

" . . . Sometimes she makes me want to tear my hair out," the heiress confessed. "Sometimes she makes me want to commit myself…"

"Well, she takes after her mother, so that isn't completely unusual," the father conceded with a chuckle. "All I can really tell you is, try to be a little patient with her, okay? She will grow into a great leader if you give her the chance."

"Yeah. Yeah, okay," Weiss nodded, a little unused to a father figure who genuinely loved his children.

"Anyway, you were going off to get breakfast?" Taiyang asked. "Arthur and I don't have the whole day off, so after we talk to her we'll be heading back our way."

"Hey, that's fine. Ruby needs you more, and if I really need to see you, Jack can drop me off any time," Yang shrugged. "Good luck trying to get her out of bed. After what happened yesterday…"

"I know," Taiyang nodded, he and Arthur leaving RWBBY to their own task.

*NEW WORLD*

"You have access codes for the door, right?" Arthur asked after leading the man to the right door.

"You mean you don't?"

"No, as a matter of fact, I do not," Arthur said levelling a look at him. "Racist."

"I am not a racist!"

"And yet you wouldn't give me this much shit if I were a Human. If I were, you wouldn't be able to wait to give the two of us your 'blessing'."

Taiyang kept his mouth shut, knowing this was an argument he could not win. True, he was never racist to Arthur, but most of his peers back at Signal, as well as some of the other teachers, were… And it wasn't like he could call anyone out on it, they'd just backlash at him, accuse him of slander. Until Ruby had met Arthur, he'd never been around a Faunus informally enough to actually realize what it was like to be discriminated against.

The words "check your privilege" immediately came to mind…

*Click*

"Rubyyy. Hey sweetie," Taiyang called into the room, his eyes falling to Ruby's bed and the caterpillar-like lump atop it. "You doing okay?"

" . . . Hi dad."

"Ruby, I brought you treats."

"Arthur?" Ruby blinked, turning around under the sheets before peeking out at them from the foot of the bed. "What… What are you doing here?"

"I thought you could use a little pick-me-up, after…" Arthur trailed off as he held up his take-out box of sweets. "I'll just leave them on the island here-"

"Can you feed me?" she asked cutely. "I'm… kinda hungry…"

" . . . Sure thing," Arthur smiled softly, stepping up onto the foot of Weiss' bed and passing Ruby a sugar cookie with frosting.

Taiyang wanted to chastise her for getting crumbs in the bed, but watching a little bit of Ruby's defeated look evaporate away as her boyfriend fed her… he decided to let it slide.

"Ruby."

"Yeah?"

"I love you. And those feelings won't change just because of some prick on the TV," the Faunus asserted. "So don't give that guy the satisfaction of seeing you quit. 'Rise above', show everyone he was wrong about you."

" . . . I love you too, Arthur~" Ruby cooed, eyes moistening.

'URK!' Taiyang flinched back as his daughter's face lit up, the girl reaching out from under the covers and wrapping her arms around Arthur's neck before laying an awkward, sloppy kiss on his forehead.

*NEW WORLD*

"So, you guys get all your homework finished?" Jaune asked awkwardly.

"Yeah."

"Uh-huh."

"Sure."

"Um, you ready for next week's lessons?"

"Yeah."

"Uh-huh."

"Sure."

"Well… How about that weather?"

"Yeah."

"Uh-huh."

"Sure."

" . . . Okay you know what? I can't work with this…" Jaune turned Pyrrha's way.

"Well, I mean… Ruby was hurt very deeply by-"

"Shady Shin?" Nora interjected.

" . . . Right… That guy… Anyway," Pyrrha said shaking her head. "I'm sure they're all hurt very deeply by this."

"If only there was some kind of wacky time-wasting nonsense to distract us all," Nora hummed aloud. "If only~"

" . . . "

"If onlyyy~"

" . . . "

"If on-"

"Nora," Ren interceded. "Saying 'if only' over and over isn't going to make something-"

"Mail call! Jack Braxton! Do I have a Jack Braxton in the house?"

" . . . Oh don't you give me that look," Ren chastised as Nora grinned happily at him.

"Hm? Oh, yeah, that's me!" Jack called out with a raised hand, getting to his feet.

"Special delivery from Goldenrod City, Mistral!" the deliveryman greeted, wheeling in an anti-grav dolly with a pincer-like shape, a large box held between the tines. "Hold still please," he said holding up a Scroll, a camera light going off as facial recognition paired him up against his own image. "Excellent. Please sign here," he said holding it and a stylus out, which Jack signed. "Very good. Have a nice day~" he said setting the package on the ground, disengaging the grav-clamps and walking away.

"Jeez, just what the hell did you order?" Yang blinked as Jack cut open the tape with a claw, revealing the inside to be filled with yellow down and a manilla envelope, which he proceded to upen using his claw as a letter opener.

"Dear Mr. Braxton," Jack muttered reading his letter aloud. "We are pleased to inform you that the terms of our agreement have been met and concluded without any significant damage to your property, yadda yadda yadda," he hummed, the contents of his box rustling causing down to flitter over the edge of the box. "In carrying out the terms of our agreement, we have thusly returned your property to you at no cost to yourself, yadda yadda yaddda yadda," he said as the contents of the box began to rise up. "We hope you will consider us for any future transactions regarding aforementioned property, yadda yadda yadda yadda," he continued as his friends gawped at the shadow looming over them. "Sincerely, the Goldenrod Racing Company. Huh. I honestly forgot that was this month," he hummed turning toward his box, his eyes panning upward. "GOLDIE! You got so big!"

*KWEEEEH~* the now-named "Goldie" cooed as it angled its head to nuzzle Jack's face.

Goldie was an enormous bipedal bird with brilliant golden plumage possessing red tips on the ends of its wings, tailfeathers, and the plumage atop its head. Standing nearly ten feet in height, it was large-enough to be used as a steed, its black scaly feet possessing sharp-looking talons, the plumage on its hips and thighs betraying powerful muscle that shifted like tectonic plates. A long plumage-covered neck protruding above its rounded but muscular body, it had squinted black avian eyes, a curved orange beak, and plumage atop its head resembling a mohawk. Its tail plumage looked especially fluffy, and to Team RWBBY resembled Yang's bedhead.

"Holy cow!" Nora gawped, the first of her friends to find her voice. "Check out those sideburns!"

*KWEH~* the enormous bird chirped as the long sideburn-like plumage hanging from its cheeks swayed from side to side.

"Is that really what's capturing your imagination?" Ren questioned, but nonetheless beheld the enormous bird with a mix of awe, and a healthy amount of fear for something that large with claws that sharp-looking.

"They sent you a Chocobo?" Blake gawped.

"In the mail?!" Weiss cried, incredulous.

"I mean… I guess…?" Jack said staring at the box his pet had come in, the bottom lined with shed down, though Goldie looked none the worse for wear. "So Goldie, how'd you enjoy your trip?"

*Kweh* Goldie shrugged in a way that seemed to say- "So-so."

"Wow, I've… never seen a Chocobo this big…" Pyrrha gawped as she cautiously stepped up to the magnificent creature, beholden to all its wild glory, as were those in the surrounding tables, a crowd slowly forming.

"Well, the wild Chocobo all get this big… You're thinking of the domestic variety, which have softer-looking features and only grow to two-thirds the size," Jack explained. "Don't worry, Goldie knows who his friends are. A friend of mine is a friend of his. And besides~" he grinned. "I can just tell you wanna pet him~ Go on, he won't bite."

Pyrrha gulping nervously as the enormous bird let out a happy chirrup, fluffing its feathers and seeming to swell in size, the red-head tentatively placed her hand upon the side of the great bird's plumage. Her hand sinking up to the elbow, a contented look overcame her features as she sunk her face into the downy bed of feathers, a deep sigh spilling out of her as she leaned fully into the massive beast.

Like a floodgate opening, the members of Teams RWBBY and JNPR stepped forward. Jaune, trepidacious about something so big, carefully stroked its feathers. Nora, in stark contrast, buried her face completely into Goldie's plumage. Ren for his part took in the wild Chocobo's majesty. Weiss for her part went over to the shipping container and examined the down, Blake gulped nervously as the giant bird ruffled its feathers at her approach, while Yang giggled when the giant bird bent down to nuzzle her cheek.

Of course, when the randos started approaching… that was when things started to get out of hand.

*NEW WORLD*

"Really? A giant fire-breathing monster?" Glynda huffed into her Scroll as she walked toward a late breakfast.

"So the reports say. Would you mind-"

"It isn't like I'm not already doing everything else around here," Glynda groaned, shutting off the Scroll and making her way to the cafeteria. "I swear, if this is more of those damned mushrooms, I'm gonna-"

*KWAARRRGH!*

Her neck-hairs rising, Glynda shouldered her way through the door, only to nearly get bowled over by the tide of fleeing students. Standing her ground and plowing her way through, Glynda's eyes went wide as she beheld a massive wild Chocobo kicking out with its taloned feet, great plumes of fire matching its glowing plumage belching out of its beak. Finally breaking through the crowd and readying her Disciplinarian-

"Goldie! I think they got the point! Heel! Heel!"

*Kwuff* the once-irate Chocobo seemed to deflate, its taloned feet clacking on the tiled floor as Jack stood imperiously before it, dwarfed as he was by its impressive height, the glow of 'Goldie's' feather tips dulling to a matte red as opposed to blazing firelight.

"Mr. Braxton?" she blinked adjusting her glasses. "Just what is going on here?!"

"I got sent a Chocobo," he said pointing at a box off to the side.

" . . . In the mail?!" she gawped beholding the down-filled shipping container.

"Yeah… I felt the same way too…" Weiss nodded.

*NEW WORLD*

"Okay… so… Explain this to me again…" Glynda asked, the lot of them now outside. The enormous bird was eating leftover fruits and vegetables from a trough courtesy of the mess hall staff, while Jack was stuffing any shed down into a number of potato sacks.

"When I left Skyrim for the first time, I went out to Mistral to make a name for myself in the mercenary field. Out in the Frontier, I encountered a Chocobo chick, his parents killed by Grimm. I killed the Grimm, since they'd also been harassing the nearby village that'd hired me to take them out, and after that…" he paused, looking at his giant pet bird. "After that, I took Goldie in, since without his parents, he wouldn't be able to survive by himself."

"How big was he as a baby?" Blake blinked.

"About as big as a breakfast muffin," Jack shrugged tying his first bag shut before getting to work with another.

"THAT SMALL?!" everyone gawped, trying to imagine the more-than-horse-sized bird as anything smaller than a baby ostrich.

"And this?" she asked holding up the envelope from the Goldenrod Racing Company, which had gotten misplaced in all the chaos.

"Well… I kept Goldie with me, for a little while at least. When he started getting really big, I entered him into races, loaned him out to petting zoos, took people on rides… Eventually my work would've taken me to places I couldn't take him, and it was around that time that a talent scout from the Goldenrod Racing Company took notice."

"The GRC? You mean the big racing conglomerate?" Nora blinked.

"I'm amazed you even know what conglomerate means," Jaune hummed.

"The long and short of it, Goldie and I became their clients. I loan him out to them for their racing and promotional material, and I get a generous cut of the split after cost of room and board," Jack continued. "Since I didn't show up for contract renegotiation, they must've caught wind of my now-fixed here at Beacon, and sent him back my way."

"And they didn't think to call you first?"

"My guy's a bit off a spaz," Jack shrugged. "But, the money always clears, so I didn't see a need to lodge a formal complaint."

"And what, pray tell, will you do with him now?" she said staring at the enormous bird.

"Well, I know the Equestrian Club at Beacon is pretty robust. Ozpin owes me for a couple errands I did for him, so I'll just have him get Goldie a nice stable to stay in~"

"Well… As long as he doesn't attack anyone else."

"He won't attack anyone else, as long as they mind the sign."

"What sign?"

"When did you have time to make that?!"

Off to the side, Blake whistled innocently.

*NEW WORLD*

"So… you're just riding him bareback, huh?" Yang asked.

"Ya-huh," Jack hummed as they made their way to the stables, a pair of potato sacks filled with golden down slung over his shoulder.

"What else do you know how to ride bareback~?" the blond purred.

"Why don't you come up here and find out~"

"YANG!?" Weiss cried.

"Don't worry, there's room up there for three~"

"YAAAAANG!"

"Some guys just have all the luck…" Jaune groaned.

*Pat* *Pat*

"Don't patronize me."

*NEW WORLD*

"So… Mind explaining what this 'errand' you did for Ozpin was?" Weiss questioned once they'd gotten everything with the Equestrian Club straightened out.

Surprisingly enough, they already had Chocobo in stock; albeit, only the domesticated breed, which really were much smaller than the wild variety.

"Oh, you know. 'Ordinary person' stuff he's too high-profile to do himself," Jack shrugged.

" . . . Makes sense, I suppose…" the heiress admitted.

As a scion of the Schnee Dynasty, she never could go out into town "like a regular person" without making some huge spectacle of it. Bodyguards, pan handlers, pushy shop attendants hocking their wares at her like in ye olden days… It was only in Vale, where all four Kingdoms had corporate interests stationed and that fads from the world over meshed, that she could even remotely blend into a crowd. Sure, her own beauty still drew the eye, but she wasn't immediately recognizable as the future heir to the Schnee Dust Company.

"Excuse me, Ms. Schnee?"

Her pulse jumping, Weiss' heart settled after realizing one of her 'jilted courtiers' hadn't followed her to Beacon, but that it was instead one of her family's private couriers, a more-traditional anti-grav dolly holding a more-traditional wooden shipping crate in tow.

"Yes, I am she, Samson," she said reading the label on his uniform. "From whom am I receiving?"

"From Lord Sebastian, young miss. He asked that I deliver this posthaste once all preparations were made. Do you have the means to store this, or should other arrangements be made?"

"Well, I'm not really sure what's insi-"

Before she could finish her sentence, the crate jostled from within before the loud revving of a circular saw was heard. The crate breached from the inside, everyone jumped backward as a square cut was steadily made, a shiny chromed body bursting out moments later.

What had leapt out at them was a medium-sized robot with a spherical body, an anti-grav lift with tiny vernier thrusters underneath, a trio of articulated limbs featuring a circular saw and a pair of pinching claws on a rotating ring below its circular chassis, and a trio of spherical eyes upon smaller articulated limbs at "shoulder level". The entire thing was shiny and sleek and chrome, with the Schnee family crest emblazoned upon its "black" in elegant black paint.

"As I live and breathe, it is so, so good to see you again, Ms. Schnee."

"Codsworth?!" Weiss gawped as the little robot addressed her.

"It is indeed. How have you been, miss?"

"Wh-wh-what are you doing here?"

"Lord Sebastian saw fit to expedite my transfer to your care after a slight… altercation with young Mr. Whitley…" the now-named Codsworth said in a less-than-enthusiastic drawl. "But rest assured, I shall endeavor to ease the burden of your stay at Beacon and FAUNUSSSSS!"

"Great, so even the Schnee robots are racist?" Jack asked as the little robot interposed itself between him and Weiss, brandishing its circular saw which it revved angrily.

"Stay back, Ms. Schnee! Let me handle this rapscallion!"

"Codsworth no!" Weiss chastised. "He's my teammate, and more than that my friend! If you refuse to show him the same respect and deference you do to me I'll… I'll… I'll scrap you for parts!"

"GASP!" the little robot recoiled as though struck. "My-my-my-my-my apologies young miss! I had no idea who he was to you! As for you, young man, I am so dreadfully sorry for my conduct, Mr. Braxton," he said making a bowing motion. "Please forgive me for my lapse in judgement!"

"Sooo… Is that just the knee-jerk reaction for all the Schnee family's robot stewards, or just him?" Jack questioned flatly, Nora awed by Codsworth's shiny chromed exterior.

"Codsworth is a little… old-fashioned…" Weiss admitted bashfully.

"Old-fashioned how?" Jack questioned, his tone demanding further elaboration.

" . . . The Mr. Handy line were originally rolled off the assembly line during the final months of the last war as cheap but effective attack robots, to capitalize on the sudden demand to remove living soldiers from the battlefield of war that shouldn't have happened in the first place. With a deficit in the supply of robot soldiers, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but… General Robotics International hadn't planned on the war coming to an end so suddenly. In order to not go completely bankrupt from that failed gamble, GRI did a quick retrofit on the Mr. Handy line to make them into steward robots for a more domestic clientele. However, as you can seeee… a few… minor details… have slipped through the cracks on occasion…"

"I mean, sure, if you wanna call blatant racism a 'minor detail'," Blake hummed in a disapproving tone.

"Robot butlers? Man, your family really does have everything," Yang hummed tapping at one of Codsworth's visual sensors, the tiny robot retreating slightly. "Does he do windows?"

"As a matter of fact, I do Ms. . . . "

"Yang! Yang Xiao Long!"

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ms. Long."

"Snrk!"

"Blaaaake! That's not funny!" Yang whined.

"Oh I disagree~ That was very funny, Ms. Long."

"Hey Weiss, I think your robot needs a software upgrade."

"I would, but that costs extra."

"A Schnee worrying about money?" Nora questioned. "THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!"

"Uuuuugh…"

*NEW WORLD*

True to Samson's word, Sebastian had made all the necessary arrangements for a student to keep a domestic steward robot on school grounds. All that was really left for Weiss to worry about was where to actually keep Codsworth. Back when Jack had joined Team RWBY, they'd made due and even gotten a little "island" out of it with the extra bookshelf. Now however, with five people and one robot in the room, things were starting to look a little crowded.

The heiress' mind whirling as she drifted towards the Scroll reader for their dorm, her thoughts were interrupted as she bumped into a large wooden crate with a *BONK!*

"What the…?" she blinked rubbing her forehead. The crate before her was heavy hardwood, almost as large as a casket, and sturdily-built. There weren't any identifying markings on it beyond the recipient's name and address. "Jaaack… Did you order something in the mail the rest of us should know about?"

"Not to my knowledge," Jack shrugged as he eyed the label slapped onto the side. "Yup, this's for me. As for the return address… Did it get smudged during shipping, or was this intentional…" he mused. "I don't see any postage stamps, so this must've been hand-delivered."

"Well what're we waiting for?" Nora asked excitedly. "Open 'er up!"

"Nora, I sincerely doubt there's another giant bird with 'sideburns' in there," Ren said making air quotes as Jack flexed his claws and slashed off the padlocks on the opposite side of the crate. Throwing the lid open with a grunt…

"Why hello there~" Codsworth purred as they all beheld the crate's contents.

Standing within the crate was a life-sized doll standing at 5' 7", clad in monochrome-colored maid attire of the conservative variety, but still exposing her ball-and-socket joints. Her long hair which extended past her waist was a light green, her skin colored like porcelain. Set at the sides of her head, instead of human ears, were fin-like antennae which angled back. She had a rather cute face, which in its sleeping state resembled that of an angel; the most well-crafted part of this creation looking the most-human by far.

"Jack, why'd you order a wind-up sex doll?" Nora asked in all seriousness.

"First off, she isn't a wind-up sex doll, and second, I didn't order her," Jack stated curtly, the doll's eyes fluttering open (which were a shade of green matching her eyes) at the sound of his voice.

"Mr. Braxton. Good morning," the doll replied courteously in a voice that sounded strangely human, compared to Codsworth's synthetic tones.

"Chachamaru. Why are you here?" the Faunus returned as though talking life-sized dolls were something he conversed with often.

"Our mistress sent me ahead to prepare for her arrival at the Vytal Festival."

"Wait, mistress?" Pyrrha asked quirking a brow.

"Is this one of those 'sex things'?" Ruby asked innocently poking her head out of the door, cookie crumbs on her face.

"Oh so now you come out of your shell…" Jack groaned. "And no, not that kind of 'mistress'."

"So you do know what it means…"

"Let's get back to the topic at hand," Jack sighed tiredly, turning his gaze back to Chachamaru as packing peanuts pooled at her feet and littered the hall. "I don't have any choice in this, do I?"

"I'm afraid not," Chachamaru said leaving her box, a miniature avalanche of packing peanuts spilling out at her passing before the gynoid suddenly stumbled, halfway to taking a knee.

"You alright?" Jack asked as he caught her.

"I'm… fine…" the gynoid replied. "If it isn't too much trouble… would you mind… winding me up?" she asked, jaws going slack all around, except for Jack who kept a straight face.

"Oooh~ Kinky~" Nora purred, Weiss' gaze snapping at her.

"You got your key?" the Faunus asked straight-faced, the others gawping at him.

"Yes, right here."

"Also kinky~" Nora purred as Chachamaru pulled out a large brass windup key, its head rectangular with two squared holes in it.

"I'm sorry for the trouble. I guess my trip was longer than anticipated, even after I entered Sleep Mode," the gynoid apologized.

"Nothing to it," Jack returned, walking around to stand behind her.

"Taking her from behind? Kink-"

"Nora."

"Alright, I'm putting it in," Jack said parting the hair at the back of Chachamaru's head, inserting the key into a circular hole.

" . . . Okay that's less than kinky…" Nora stated as Jack proceeded to turn the key, crimson Aura flowing from his fingertips and into the clockwork implement, Chachamaru's fingers occasionally twitching. After half a minute or so of this, the key began to push back, Jack nodding his head as he turned the key one last time before removing it.

"There. You all topped off?"

"Yes. This should hold me over until tomorrow," Chachamaru replied, rising to her full height and giving a short bow.

"A clockwork maid… Never thought I'd see that today," Yang hummed aloud. "Soooo. You do windows too?"

"If my job requires it," Chachamaru stated. "I will be in your care until the Vytal Festival, Mr. Braxton," she said with a bow.

"Sure. Sure. Why not? I mean, it's not like we aren't already filled to capacity…" he said turning his eyes from her to Codsworth.

"If it is no trouble, Lady Chachamaru and I could always share living space," the Mr. Handy offered.

"Dude, are you flirting with her?" Yang grinned.

"Stewards do not 'flirt' Ms. Long-"

"SNRK!"

"We exchange dialogue with our peers," the Mr. Handy continued over Blake's snickering.

"Hmmmmmmmm…" Ruby hummed thoughtfully, scrunching her brow in concentration as she looked between Wadsworth, Chachamaru, and then the other four members of her team. "I don't think this is gonna work, guys."

"Awwww, why not? Coddy here's so shiny~" Nora said pressing her face to his chassis.

"Madam, my name is Codsworth, C., Wellington! Not 'Coddy'! Sounds too close to 'Shoddy'…" the steward robot protested.

"Wait, your robot has a middle and a last name?" Yang snickered.

"FOCUS!" Ruby cried. "We bring these two in to live with us, we'll be packed in like sardines."

"Well we can't just leave them out on the street corner!" Weiss protested.

"I mean, we could always leave them… in the closet~" Yang snickered.

"That was just lazy," Blake huffed causing Yang's feathers to be ruffled.

"Well, where else can we put them?" Ruby questioned. "We can't just ask Team Juniper to take one of them-"

"Yay! Robo-butler!"

"Not happening," Weiss huffed brusquely. "Any other ideas where we can put them."

"I… ugh… I hate myself for saying this, but…" Blake forced out. "I might know a guy."

"As long as I can be nearby Ms. Schnee without breaking present company, this old bot's up for anything!" Codsworth said thumping a pincer onto his chassis while reaching for Chachamaru with the other, only for the clockwork doll to maintain a professional distance.

*NEW WORLD*

" . . . 'Tis hardly what I had in mind..." Codsworth muttered as he sat dejectedly in the corner of the room of Weiss' presiding RA, Chachamaru serving aforementioned RA some tea with a mechanical yet elegant grace before returning to her place over his shoulder.

"And you're sure you don't mind?" Blake asked worriedly, wringing her hands.

"Sure, I don't mind," Vincent shrugged as he sipped carefully at his tea. "Feels a little lonely to be honest, not having any roommates I can chat with, you know?"

"I… guess…?" Blake asked looking at the nearby possessed electronics from Dr. Sugimori's chateau, all of which lay in their inert states. Though on occasion she did spot a spectral eye peeking out at the RA whenever Vincent's back was turned. "If it ever becomes too much trouble, make sure you let me know, alright?"

"Sure thing, Blake. Don't be a stranger," he smiled, Chachamaru refreshing his beverage.

"I won't," Blake hummed with a bow, backing out of the room before coming face to face with the expectant faces of her teammates.

"Well? What did he say?" Weiss asked nervously.

"He'll take them in," Blake shrugged. "He's still got some free space left, but we really do need to come up for a better solution to all the random crap we've been picking up."

"A bridge to cross another day," Jack shrugged. "I'm gonna go to the school store and get another Scroll so Chachamaru has access to our dorms. You girls want anything?"

"Jack. Jack. Jack. Jack."

"Yes, Nora?"

"If you aren't around and I just so happen to find myself at the stables... will Goldie try to knock my block off?" Nora asked excitedly.

"Hey, at least he didn't try to fit a Chocobo into our dorms~" Yang said ribbing Weiss' arm.

"Seriously though, what are we going to do with all this random stuff we've been getting our hands on?" Blake questioned, ever the 'straight man'.

*NEW WORLD*

AN:
I always liked the visual distinction between "Wild" & "Domesticated" Chocobo in Final Fantasy XIII, so that's the look I went for~

Codsworth is from Fallout 4, while Chachamaru is another character from Mahou Sensei Negima!.

All that said, tell me what you think, and I hope to see you next time! Next update's gonna be Another Hero Academia: Out of Time!
